I've been to several Bridal Expo-Shows in Chicago. I just loved Venuti's in addison. The building is wonderful. The show was great as well. It was a nice time. You can really see alot.
Save yourself a lot of trouble and DO NOT GO TO THE COMPLETE BRIDAL SALON IN DUNDEE! It is a TOTAL SCAM. After being measured twice I ended up insisting a smaller size be purchased for me, and my dress still arrived 2-3 sizes too big. So after paying an outrageous price for a gown I had to spend hundreds more on alterations. Despite that the bride and all of the bridesmaids had bought their dresses there - they were extremely rude and unwilling to work with any of us on what should have been their mistake - because as they said, "I agreed to those measurements". I thought I could trust them to be honest and order me an accurate size. Do not make the same mistake. Stay as far away from this place as you can.
Maybe I am just not the bridal show type, but I found this whole experience to be unpleasant and overwhelming. Too many vendors trying to attract too many people.
this is held every year in the Rosemont Convention center, and it is wonderful. You can get so many ideas and little things that you would have never thought of. So whether you are in your very early stages of planning or just weeks away from the big day i would definately recommend going to this show1
