Chicago Wedding Pictures

John Welsh is a talented photographer who is dishonest and deceitful. We booked our wedding with him in February for a September wedding. He committed to his availability and assured us he would be the lead photographer. 11 days before our wedding, he informed us via e-mail that he had booked a "more deluxe" conflicting wedding package, and would be turning us over to "a friend". This was someone we had never met, nor agreed to. He also via e-mail offered us a refund, yet when I showed up at his studio to pick up the refund, he refused to give it, and instead called the police to have me arrested for trespassing. When the police arrived, they were on my side, and asked him why he would offer the refund and then not give it. Needless to say, the officer said to me, "you have him on check-mate in small claims." He quotes the Bible, yet betrayed me for 30 pieces of silver. All of this is fully documented.

AMAZING!!! So much more than we ever expected. It is sooo different when it is your wedding! We have usually seen pushy or rude photographers at weddings. John was so nice all night, we hardly noticed him. But he was right there to help us when ever we needed him. Then when we saw our pictures (in like 4 days!!) We were just blown away. Whose wedding was this! We hardly even saw him and he got more than we ever could have imagined!!! So many cool, artistic shots. Nothing like what my friends got ( good thing! ) He really has a vision and knew just how to implement it for us perfectly!!! Please hire him. You will be glad you did. I can tell, this man is genuine. He is a Christian man with a great family. We really appreciate that too. We are also believers and are so very happy we were able to support Chicago Wedding Pictures. Also Welsh Studios. Great service, Great Pictures, Great speed, Great ethics. Highly recomended!

We were looking for an affordable photographer to take pictures of our reception and capture the events of the night without getting in our way… and that is exactly what we got. Our photographer worked his way through the crowd and got pictures of everyone at our party and captured all of the highlights of the evening. The pictures were up on their website within a week of the party! Overall, we were very satisfied with the photography.

From the day we met John, we knew he would be the perfect fit. We let him know that he was the expert and we would follow his lead; at the same time he let us have fun and listened to any ideas we had. On the day of the wedding, he was plenty early and was able to get pictures of the guys getting to the chapel and later getting the girls. I have never seen anyone so dedicated to their work. Our wedding was on Dec. 28 and John was laying in snowbanks just to make sure he got the right angle. After reviewing the pictures, everyone was surprised with all of the ceremony pictures becuase they didn't even remember seeing him. He captured every special moment of our day and we were very satisfied with his work and would reccomend him to anyone. Thanks for all of your hard work John!!! Thanks to you, we will always have great memories of our very special day.

Chicago Wedding Pictures...We had two photographers and one videographer. We were truly amazed that the proofs were posted on their website less than 5 days from the date of our wedding. We received our proof book within 30 days of the wedding. Many of my friends shared how it took months before they received their proof book. The professionals assigned to capture our special day truly know their art and we truly couldn't have asked for more. The video was very nice and really allows us to relive just how special the day and evening were. You can't go wrong with Chicago Wedding Pictures!

I found Chicago Wedding Pictures via a web search, and we visited their location. After meeting with the owner and reviewing the quality of their work, we signed a contract the same day. What sold us was the studio's ability to put our pictures online within a week of the wedding for our friends and family to view and order prints at their leisure. The price was amazing for the Simplicity package, and offered great flexibility for our tight budget. The day off, the photographer was very friendly, and put everyone at ease instantly. I was amazed by the variety of shots that were taken, very unobtrusive. They captured the fun of our day, great shots of laughter and children at play.

Very flexible and professional, but I was disappointed with my pictures. I asked for candid shots and only got a few, and the outdoor backdrops were terrible (rusty polls, etc). I would recommend if you have time scope out your backdrops.. I was planning from out of town so did not have time to research my location, to know where I wanted certain shots taken. I also should have watched the photographer at the wedding and spoken up when I wasn't getting the candid shots I wanted.

It was very stress free to work with them.

The company was really great, everyone that worked there was really nice and helpful. The specific photographer that came out on our wedding day was super nice. He took lots of photos, but it did not disrupt the day at all... I hardly knew he was there! They offer really affordable packages. The photos, however were okay, not great. But for what we were looking for (an inexpensive photographer who wouldn't disrupt the flow of the day) they worked out just fine.

I my original photographer unfortunetly passed away six weeks before my wedding (it was a total disaster). I contacted several photographers would highballed me on a price, and these guys were so professional they honored the original contract I had with my original photographer. I was shocked at their kindness and professionalism, and the photos I got were absolutely amazing. I could not have been happier.

I was scepticle at first since the price was so reasonable but the pictures were amazing. Then I found out that even with a name like Chicago Wedding Pictures, they are up by Great America! After we drove up to meet with him we were bother VERY impressed. The quality of their work for what they charge is amazing! I may have seen some studios that I might have liked better but those were all three times the price and would nopt give me the negatives! For the price thet are absolutely the best!!! For any price, they are still very good. I highly recomend Chicago Wedding Pictures. Weird name, far drive, but well worth it!

Chicago Wedding Pictures photographed one of my co-workers wedding in 2007, Renay & Sean. The photos came out GREAT! I was also able to see that they are still online for viewing a year later, which most companies do not do. Great Job everyone at Chicago Wedding Pictures..
