First of all, if I could rate Chickadee Hill higher than 5 out of 5, I would. These were the most delicious wedding cakes I've ever had, and absolutely gorgeous. To be different, I asked Shara to create 3 singular tiered cakes of different flavors, all decorated the same. When I walked in to the reception hall, I was blown away with how spot on she was with my vision, and how fantastic the cakes looked. Eating them, made it even better. WOW, these cakes were delicious! Our guests kept going up to try more and we finished the rest at the after party. Shara also created a small grooms cake for me decorated for the University of Texas. Since I live in Austin we communicated via email and photos. This cake was so much more than I could have ever imagined and my husband was blown away by it.Thank you, Shara for making such amazing cakes!!!

Cake looked gorgeous and tasted amazing!

Shara did a beautiful job with our cake. The flavor combinations are wonderful, and we were able to pick unique flavors that we loved so much better than the typical vanilla or chocolate. She took a look at cake designs I liked, our invitation, and created a cake that went perfectly with our overall look. Shara made wonderful suggestions, and was receptive to everything I had to say. I can't wait to open the saved layer on our first anniversary.

We brought in a photo of a rather complicated cake, thinking it would not be a possibility, but the shop took the idea and ran with it! Everyone commented on how much they loved our cake and how unique it was. We had two flavors, alternating layers - carrot cake and lemon ginger - and both flavors were phenomenal. I have full intentions on ordering a non-wedding cake from the shop at some point in the future for a birthday or special event because it was THAT good! :)

The cake was BEAUTIFUL! And it was soooo good! Very reasonable in price as well. Sometime shard to get ahold of when you call the shop, but they tend to call right back when a message is left!!

Chickadee Hill Cakes provided the groom's cake for our wedding celebration. I got my husband a Harley Davidson groom's cake and gave it to him at the rehearsal dinner...he loved it! The only thing better than the design was the taste. I chose tiramisu (his favorite!) and it was absolutely delicious! Chickadee Hill Cakes was a pleasure to work with and I couldn't have asked for better experience. The whole staff at Chickadee Hill was wonderful and extremely flexible and I highly recommend them for your groom's cake or wedding cake!

Our 4 tier wedding cake with sugar Japanese maple leaves, a 3D Heinz ketchup bottle grooms cake, and my bridal shower cake, a birch log with two owls on top. We couldn't have been happier with Chickadee Hill Cakes from start to finish.When we went for our tasting it was delicious and her shop is spotless.We had been to some much bigger bakeries before that weren't as personnel or as clean.Shara is also much more reaosnable pricewise and accommadating.We had an outdoor wedding so we wanted the cake delivered later in the day according to the temperatures so that the butter cream frosting didn't melt which she did with no problem.We had many ,many compliments on the cake and each flavor was delicious.I highly recommend her and will pass her name along to everyone.

My husband and I are EXTREMLY happy how our cake turned out. Our first meeting was spectacular and took our vision and turned it into reality. Chickadee Hill Cakes did a wonderful job on our wedding cake. Visually the cake was beautiful and the different flavors tasted amazing. Instead of having a large cake, we chose to have extra side cakes for our guests. In total there were five different cake options for our guests to pick from which was a huge hit. Chickadee Hill Cakes was wonderful to work with and communicated well in order to make sure that they created the right cake for us. I would highly recommend using them.

Shara was so professional, our cake was delicious, we had 4 flavors, beautifully placed flowers, every single thing we requested, Chickadee Hill Delivered on! Honestly not one thing I would change. Their price is so reasonable, and if you're not into fondant (which we were not), their buttercream finishes are so crisp and clean you can't tell the difference. I'll continue to recommend Chickadee Hill Cakes to all my future bride-friends. I plan on ordering a small cake for our anniversary (and probably many future celebratory events to come!!)

The wedding cake was incredibly delicious and looked amazing. One of the top five things that guests commented positively about without prompting. Our cake was part of a wedding package provided by our venue so it is hard to gauge exactly the value for cost, but overall I think it was good, though the package itself was a bit inflexible.One of my favorite wedding experiences was actually going cake tasting with my fiance and getting to create the look of the cake together with Shara. It was so much fun and very memorable. My fiance and I had very different ideas of what the cake should look like and together with Shara we were able to find a common ground quite skillfully. The tension can sometimes be high during wedding planning so I really appreciated the atmosphere, consideration, and guidance.As for the cake itself, the yummy factor was very high. It didn't taste too sugary or creamy and it didn't leave you with that "omg, i ate too much" feeling. It had just the perfect amount of richness to it.

Let me start by saying that my cake was absolutely beautiful and came out exactly like the picture I brought in. All my guests also commented on how delicious it was. I was unsure where to put my cake topper, on the top or on on of the tiers and Shara was very helpful. The only glitch was when I met with someone other than the owner who kept racking up the price when it was part of a packaged deal. After the reception hall called and talked to Chickadee hill, the woman called me back and rudely told me it was squared away, but there wasn't a glitch after that. I think meeting with the owner Shara is the best way to go.

I was so thrilled with our wedding cake. I had a specific picture that I showed to Shara which involved fresh roses. She worked seamlessly with the florist to create the cake and it was even more spectacular than the picture. Not only did it look amazing but it was absolutely delicious! We had quite a few pieces left over which guests even ate the next day - that's how moist it was. I was extremely impressed with Chickadee Hill Cakes. Many thanks to Shara!!!

Had a great tasting with Shara a few months before the wedding. The finished product was gorgeous and looked and tasted better than I imagined!

Shara created exactly what I was looking for. I brought her pictures from a magazine, and she duplicated it with precision. I also provided her with my own topper and cake plate, and she was able to use them with no issues The cake was delicious too; we had two flavor combinations: butter vanilla with strawberries and cream and banana with chocolate mousse.

My wedding cake was the most delicious wedding cake I have ever seen. It is just want I asked for! Chickadee Hill also made me a groom's cake for my husband for the rehearsal dinner. They made a very artistic cake shaped like his antique vehicle at a VERY reasonable cost. I loved it. Chickadee Hill was easy to work with and did not create any extra stress for me.

WOW!!! From the tasting to both the grooms cake and wedding cake Shara and Chickadee Hill were incredible. She was able to deliver exactly what we wanted. When we saw both cakes I cried and was absolutely speechless. People are still talking about how amazing the cake looked and tasted. For our grooms cake we had devils food with vanilla rum and mocha buttercreme. For our weddng cake we had classic white wedding cake with almond butter creme and raspberries. Inamorata counting down the days till my one year annaversary just so we can eat the top tier lol. My hats off to Chickadee Hill. I may need to have her bake me a cake every month or so. Outstanding!!!!

We were extremely pleased with the service we received from Chickadee Hill Cakes. Shara was especially wonderful to work with. She was professional yet very personal. At our tasting every flavor was delicious. Shara suggested using a square cake stand for our round cakes and displayed it to us. I was sold. It made the cake look so elegant. From that point on, I had NO worries about my wedding cake. About two weeks before the wedding we wanted to make a change to our order. Shara was very accommodating and assured me it was not a problem, even with such short notice.The wedding cake was wonderful, beautiful and everything I ever wanted, and was absolutely delicious! We had the white wedding cake with berries and cream and the fudge cake with chocolate mousse. My mother surprised us with the tuxedo chocolate covered strawberries from Chickadee Hill also! Both the cake and the strawberries were a big hit. All our guests asked where we got them from. She worried about the heat and the cake stand so I had to compromise on my no cake board plan, but she is the expert and I trusted her to steer us in the right direction. Shara created a rehearsal dinner cake for us as well as our wedding cake. We asked her to make an Antarctic-y looking cake for rehearsal, and it was so cute. She made a little ice rink for our penguin toppers to sit on and covered it with sugar crystals to make it look like ice. The wedding cake was better than I could have imagined! People kept going up and trying to touch it because they couldn’t believe it was real. She matched our colors perfectly with her delicious icing and it just stood so majestically at our reception. I was upset that I had to cut it, but the flavor (white wedding with fresh berries and cream) was well worth it.

Chickadee Hill was so easy to work with. We got to sample different cakes. They did a wonderful job doing exactly what we wanted on the cake and everyone raved about how good it was. I can hardly wait to have it again for our anniversary!!

All I can say is SWEET!!!! I gave her my invitation w/ blossoms on it...and asked for a cake to have the same design and boy did she do that and more. This is some of the most MOIST cake we have every had and everyone just loved it. She offers a cake tasting of @ 10 or so cakes and her prices CANNOT be beat----she is at least half the cost of everyone else and doesnt charge extra if you want a square cake versus round. We can't wait for our 1 year anniversary to have her make us another beautiful cake.....Oh and she made our rehearsal cake too---just perfect. She only does 4 cakes per weekend and that includes any rehearsal cakes...so you know she wont be over burdened/worked etc.

Chickadee is a very flexible cake vendor to use. I was able to give her a picture of what I wanted which she duplicated to a T. No one could stop eating my cake and still talks about it to this day...though we wish we ate me of it, we were glad not an inch of it went to waste. I couldnt even save the top as my guests kept asking for more cake. I think people took more pictures of the cake then the wedding ;0)....I absolutley plan on using their services again for other occasions. This was also a comfortable meet in her home, and was set up very nice at my tasting.

I have ordered probably 10 cakes from her now, and she goes above and beyond for each one, and wows everyone at any party I bring one to!
