They have good cakes, and the cake was pretty but nothing super spectacular. They closed their shop and moved, but forgot to tell me before I came in for my tasting so I thought that was a little weird. Then when I went to the new shop, there was no one there, we had to call and then someone showed up. I guess they weren't technically open yet. Just weird. The cake was all gone so it must have been good!

Very, very disapointed. Initially after our tasting we were impressed. The cake tasted delicious and they said they could do the design we showed them from a picture. And the price was great. Too great, as the girl didn't figure the cost right and when I went to pay the balance prior to the wedding, I was told it was wrong and had to pay more. Then on our wedding day when they 'delivered' the cake, the had my future father in law carry the cake in while they left! When we looked at the cake the frosting was pulling off the cake and my mother in law had to fix it. The best part, they were supposed to have a designer put the flowers on the cake, but they didn't-we had to. When we called after the wedding to voice our concerns over this, we were told that they are very busy and couldn't help that the frosting was coming off and that they never do flowers. So, while the cake tasted good, based on this experience, I will never recommend Child's to another bride.

Child's Pastry Shop did a great job on our cake. We had requested green orchids for our cake topper and they were beautiful. Our cake was delivered on time, in one piece and I wouldn't be happier.

Child's Bakery was able to take some ideas ripped out of magazines and bring them to life in our cake. It was so unique and beautiful. And of course, it was also delicious!

Delicious! Child's made everything super easy. The tasting was fun and informative and the employee helping us was so sweet and genuinely enjoyed her job. The cake was beautiful and was delivered on time.
Lots of people commented on how yummy it was. We had 4 tiers with a different cake and filling for each tier.

We requested a small two-tier cake for the cake cutting ceremony. The initial meeting to go over the details of what we wanted went very smoothly. The lady who helped us was very professional and knew all the right questions to ask to make sure that we got what we wanted. I was very thankful for the attention to detail and the cake turned out beautiful and delicious.

Our cake and cupcakes tasted wonderful, no trouble with delivery.

I loved my wedding cake! Child's was the most accommodating baker I worked with. I wanted my wedding cake to be amazing and memorable. ALL my guests commented on the wedding cake. It was everything I wanted and more. I went to 5 or 6 different tastings. Child's let me set up as many tastings as it took for me to find the perfect flavors. I will recommend them to everyone!

Service and cake quality down hill over past 35 years. Most recently my daugher was given a hard time by the owner for inquring via a phone call about an anniversay special design grooms cake that we spent over $230. The ower refused to look up the actual order to confirm. Being a wedding planner by trade I will not recommend Childs to my clients nor purchase cakes there in the future.

Owner was rude and cake quality has been going down hill for some time. Seek a better baker.

At first we thought they were amazing. The price wasn't expensive, taste and texture was good in some of the flavors we tasted. However, we gave them a picture of the cake we wanted and somehow the flowers ended up being so big for the cake that they started to fall out, also the buttercream from between the tiers started to fall apart too, even before the reception had started. We chose them because of all the recommendations we got, and even the catering knew them. We were comfortable with the price, however, the cake fell apart so badly we went there and explained what happened and all they "could do for us" was to send us some coupons. Can you believe it! We didn't want people to go and take a look at the cake. We were upset, and ashamed we chose them. It was a terrible experience.

They made each layer of my cake so delicious.
And the cake looked EXACTLY like I wanted it.
I had to make a change towards the end and they were so flexible in working with me and made it work!
They are wonderful!

I've been going to Child's since it was in University Hills! It's been around forever, folks, and there is a good reason for it....they have simply fabulous cakes! We rec'd so many compliments on our cake. We had four tiers, four different flavors and fillings. Everyone was in awe at how delicious it was. You want a great cake? Call them. Now!

We had a specific design we wanted on our cake and the completely accommodated us and made it even better than we imagined. Good price and great tasting cakes. Also offered a free cake at our one year anniversary.

The cake was Amazing, so delicious and beautiful! Delivered it on time and looked fabulous.

The cake was exactly what I pictured in my head! It was beautiful and it was delicious!!
I had a three layer cake the top layer was white with mango filling, the second was banana cake with
fudge filling and the third was kaluha cake with cream cheese filling. It was delicious everyone there
had a piece from each tier and I still had some to savor that night ;)

They were amazing to work with! Everything turned out exactly like I had described. They have so much to offer their clients at incredible prices. I promise you're gonna pinch yourself in disbelief. (And as a bonus for this company, they do rush orders. 2 weeks! But of course you have to pay a fee for this.)

We emailed in a picture of what we wanted the cake to look like, and while they got the sides correct, there was absolutely nothing on the top - despite the fact that we sent in a picture of entwined hearts to go there. So when we showed up to the reception the cake looked very, very plain. The taste was ok, nothing amazing, but missing the decor on top just made it look strange.

My cake was beautiful and everything I asked for in the planning stages. Childs was great at customizing my flavors and icing and trim that I wanted.

My husband is a chef and because of that he only wanted to look into a couple of pastry shops in town. We chose hotel for the reception that worked directly with Childs on a regular basis and that made the decision for us! They were great to work with and very quick on their feet to make adjustments (caused by the florist) when necessary!

We won a $100 gift certificate for our cake at a Bridal Expo. So, we went through Child Pastry to get out cake. It was beautiful, and exactly what we expected. The carrot cake was great- and I loved that they let us put fresh fruit in between layers to add a twist. They were on time, very professional, and the prices seemed pretty good. My favorite part though- is that they give you a wedding cake topper on your 1 year anniversary! Surely better than freezer burned cake. So we really enjoyed our fresh wedding topper on our anniversary. Great place to go!

Our cake was incredible! It wasn't huge or elaborate - but we got lots of great comments from our guests. We hardly got to taste it, but heard it was very yummie!
