Christine went above and beyond what a photographer should be expected to do. Her photos are gorgeous, and she is willing to do anything asked of her! I would highly recommend her to any bride that needs a photographer!

Christine did an excellent job on all levels. She enthusiastically incorporated our suggestions and she was very friendly and fun all day. Our friends and family can not stop talking about all the great photos. I highly recommend her service to anyone who wants an amazing value and amazing pictures.

Christine was wonderful to work with! From the very beginning she remained in contact with me to make sure we were on the same page for the big day. When the wedding day arrived, she was on time, friendly and worked with some of more stubborn family members really well. The pictures turned out beautifully, and we received every shot we asked for and then some. Thank you Christine for making our day that much more beautiful and so wonderful to remember with your pictures.

Kristine Petkov was wonderful to work with! She was creative but also took time to listen to our vision. She also captured the detailed moments many photographers tend to overlook. I highly recommend her.

Christine Petkov and her assistant Colleen were great! They got soo many beautiful and unique pictures. They took the time to make sure they captured the energy and emotions of our special day. It was such a surprise when I got the prints back because Christine got some great shots that I didn't even know she took. I was very pleased with the way Christine stayed calm the entire day and didn't keep me away from the party all night to take posed pictures as I've experienced with other photographers. She was always there when I needed her, but blended into the background and let me enjoy the moment otherwise. I would definitely recommend Chris Petkov to anyone who wants a variety of phenomenal pictures at a very resonable price. :)

What primary photographic style do you identify with?

Contemporary, Photojournalism, Portraiture

Do you have liability insurance?

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

I have a unique way of making some of your images feel as if I am using a high speed, grainy film. If you aren't sure what I mean by this, please see a few examples of this in my portfolio section of wedding wire. This technique works well with daylight situations the best. It gives a very airy feel to the picture. Of course any of your images can be made into black and white or sepia. I like to pick a favorite picture from the day and show you how it would look in either of these techniques. Sometimes I will retouch the photo to help the image and overall effect.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

My experience with lighting covers the entire realm from studio to daylight. I am a commercial photographer weekdays, and wedding photographer on weekends. My commercial experience drives me to be excellent in high stress situations. I am confident with all lighting scenarios.

Is your media preference film or digital?

I shoot with a professional digital camera and professional lighting equipment.

How many photographers do you work with?

I work with 2 highly seasoned professional wedding photographers that I use as my 2nd shooters. These photographers are called upon per your request. (Recommended if you have a guest list of 150 or more.)

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

YES! I am your photographer for the day. I enjoy the "photography" part of wedding photography the most! I wouldn't give that up for the world. I have my backups if for any reason I cannot make it. (Not likely!)

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

No, your wedding is my priority. I can only be in one place at one time.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

YES, ALWAYS.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

standard: camera, flash, tripod, external flash for studio lighting if needed. backup of all equiptment

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

YES, ALWAYS.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

$1400. for up to 8 hours
I never double book myself, so I charge for my full day rate (8hrs)

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

$200. per each additional hour.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

Do you charge for travel?

Up to 35 miles total is included in the initial 8 hour dayrate. After that, an hourly rate is prorated for the travel time. We can discuss this in detail.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

My goal is to have them retouched and ready for viewing within 3 weeks. I usually attain my goals :)

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

They are posted on my website with a password access.
You receive a book of 4x6 proofs up to 300 images for you to keep.
All included in the dayrate. There is an additional charge for prints over the first 300.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

FOREVER

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes, I use your photos for advertising purposes for my business.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

The High Res images are available to you for purchase for $300.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes. With a password access or open viewing.

What kind of albums do you offer?

8x8 inch coffee table book. (Casual, modern way to display your photos)
or Capri EZ mount album.

When will the client get the final album?

This usually depends on how long it takes to decide what images to have in the album. This is something we can work on together, or you have the freedom to decide for yourself. After placing the order, it usually arrives within 3 weeks. (10-12 business days)

My advice: Look around at all photographers you are interested in. Go with your gut! You’ll know when it’s the right fit. You want to be comfortable. And it is of course all about you! (oh yeah, and your other half!)
