After seeing Cindy's amazing portfolio and meeting with her, the decision to work with her was an obvious one. She was really thorough with all the details leading up to the big day, was really easy to work with, and made this part of the wedding preparation a breeze. My husband, who is not typically comfortable in front of a camera was at ease with Cindy and the pictures reflected that. When we returned from our honeymoon, a picture slideshow was waiting for us. It was amazing! I was was so proud of our pictures; I immediately forwarded it to all my friends and family. Complements to Cindy's amazing work kept flooding in over email. Cindy photographed our wedding last Fall. She is simply the best!
We hardly realized she was there, but when we saw the photos, she was everywhere! She had managed to capture all the memorable moments, all the guests, and the ambiance of the day just the way we wanted to remember it. She is a true professional, and made us feel very comfortable. If you look at her website, you will see that she has a very special eye for capturing moments.. it's remarkable! After the wedding, she promptly sent us a slideshow of the day, with music, which we sent to those who could not attend the wedding. Everyone asked who our photographer was. I can't say enough good things about Cindy's work. She did my wedding in March and I loved the pictures and experience so much that I just hired her a second time to take portraits of my mom, sister and me: they came out incredible as well.

Cindy is reasonably priced in an expensive area and her work is incredible. She has the unique ability to capture a real moment, not the facimile of one. Her pictures capture true emotions and moments. They really represent the feeling, love, and happiness; with a lot of others I considered I felt like the pictures were more like "representations" of those things. I'm not sure how she does it, but when you see them you're shocked by how real and true the captured moment is. All of the pictures are treasures because of it.

Additionally, and extremely important, she's an unbelievable pleasure to work with and be around all day: as the bride of course but I got the same feedback from old and young relatives, the bridal party, the other vendors, etc. She's got a happy, laid-back, and fun personality and it really makes you feel comfortable and loosens you up so that candids come out even better. She also has the world's best giggle, as my sister noticed first, and it makes everyone even more relaxed and happy which comes through in the work. You actually have a good time with her, which makes your pictures even more phenomenal. She's your woman if you have family or friends who sometimes have trouble loosening up for pictures!

The pictures that Cindy took from my wedding day are priceless. My husband and I loved the end result, and when we first saw the photo slide-show she made for us, we were in tears. She worked tirelessly from early in the morning to late at night and catered to our every whim. Because we got married in Nicaragua it was very hot the day of the wedding, but despite the heat, our photos turned out beautiful. We wanted photos that were not your typical posed photos and she did a great job of capturing many special moments in a unique way. Also, she showed us the proofs very soon after the wedding, so we didn't have to wait for weeks to see them. I cannot praise her work enough, and I know you will not be disappointed!

I got married nine months ago, and my family and I are still talking about what an amazing job Cindy did on my wedding day! Cindy is such a pleasure to work with, which is so important during such a stressful time like planning a wedding. Cindy was extremely responsive to all of my questions and requests, and really took the time to find out what was important to my husband and I prior to our wedding day. I felt like I had known her for years before I even met her!

On the day of the wedding, Cindy seemed to be in all the right places, yet I barely knew she was there. Additionally, I didn't have to ask her once to take a specific shot because she had already got them! Cindy's work is magical. The pictures are candid enough to frame, yet they are so unique and artistic.

Like many of the other reviews have noted, her slideshow is a treasure. There is nothing better than coming back from your honeymoon to have this amazing slideshow that depicts the story of your special day. Cindy even remembered and selected our most significant songs from that day to include in the slideshow.

One of the most important details of my wedding planning experience was finding a photographer who could capture all of the special moments of our wedding. We were fortunate to find Cindy Johnson, who did the most amazing job of capturing so many details that we had not even had the opportunity to cherish at the time. Cindy's photos tell a story. She took so many wonderful pictures during our wedding. We have a huge gallery of beautiful pictures to choose from and enjoy for years to come. Cindy goes above and beyond and spends quality time getting to know her clients. She has a unique and creative style and I have been so impressed with her work. I would highly recommend her to others and hope to have the opportunity to work with her on other future events.

I've always felt that one of the most important decisions for your wedding was choosing your photographer since the pictures will last and likely be placed around your home FOREVER.
I can't begin to express how much I love my wedding pictures and how great Cindy is to work with. Before the wedding she gave me ideas on how to organize the day and tips for the photos. Her general aura is very calm, which is exactly what you need on your wedding day and for potentially stressful situations (like family/group portraits). My family and wedding party loved her because she was the perfect amount of nice and funny to get the best pictures out of us.

BUT, the best part is the pictures... she captured all the important moments and tons of wonderful candid shots that showed all the emotion and joy of the day. She was not intrusive, but somehow just there to capture everything. There was also a nice mix of artistic and traditional shots. Plus, we got to watch the slideshow she made while on our honeymoon. I would recommend Cindy to everyone.

On your wedding day, one could only hope the photographer chosen is someone who can understand what you're feeling at any given moment. That they're able to capture the excitement, nervous energy, beautiful friends and family, and most of all, the love shared on that day. Cindy did just that and more. She made it effortless and comfortable for us to be ourselves on an utterly crazy day. Cindy has the gift of being able to tell a story through the camera. One in which all photographers hope to achieve. My input to her was very basic, not to have posed pictures. We wanted photos that were natural, specifically capturing moments in time. As a result our pictures are amazing. And to top it off, most brides have to wait months to review photo proofs, but Cindy works very hard to ensure a photo slide show is ready for you upon return from your honeymoon. Cindy was our photographer at our wedding. We loved the pictures she took, very candid and memorable. She captured special and unique moments in an artistic way. Cindy was terrific. She is such a nice, energetic, and fun person to have around on your wedding day. Everyone loved her.
It was decent weather for the ceremony and then there were torrential downpours for the rest of the day. Unfortunately, our photo shoot around DUMBO was cancelled. Since the weather wasn’t looking so good, Cindy offered to take us out on a photo shoot on another day. Instead I had the idea to take pictures in the subway, it was very wet and kind of a mess but we had a blast and those are some of our favorite pictures. They were definitely shot in less than ideal conditions but Cindy was a very willing participant and made them look so artistic. She also brought an assistant, Angela, who was equally as friendly and helpful to have around. She created a beautiful slideshow set to music for us two days after the wedding and we are so happy with all the pictures. We have received so many compliments on the pictures and have had several people tell us that they are using them as the standard for their own wedding photography.

Hi Cindy!!! We actually just got back to NYC tonight, and are finally checking email! We had such a blast in Hawaii and really closed ourselves off to the outside world! I have to tell you that I just watched the wedding video/pics you sent and I am blown away by how beautiful they are! You did the most amazing work and we are so happy to see our wedding through your eyes, I was in happy tears watching this and truly appreciate how quickly you put that together!
