I had been taken dance lessons since I was a little girl, and my fiancé/husband was a very good dancer. It seemed almost obvious that we would have an amazing first dance in front of our friends and family. We took the private wedding lessons that Cinema offered, and we were able to request an instructor who could teach us the tango! We could put together the basic movement but we wanted to know the actual steps! The instructor was able to show us the basic steps, build from there, and helped us come up with an easy enough choreography. We were able to do this in three private lessons. My big, big recommendation is to sign up for lessons eight weeks ahead of time if you are only going to take the three lesson deal, because you will get really, really busy as the day approaches!

My secret is that before I became a runner and was a member of the track team, I was on the school dance team and would dance before games in high school. This was when I was 15! Most of my bridal party is from that same dance team, so Renan and I decided that for our first dance, it needed to be good. My present to Renan was the private wedding dance lessons at Cinema, because I wanted us to be able to waltz in front of all our friends. How classy is that? I don’t think anyone could expect that from us! The lessons were great, the instructors were really helpful and patient, and I would suggest going with more lessons than less. Because both of us are athletes we had good form, and our rhythm was good for the most part. Still, as we were learning a complicated dance, we took the most amounts of lessons they offered.

We had always talked about taking dance lessons together, and so a year before the wedding we started taking lessons at Cinema Ballroom. We had a private instructor, with ten lessons, and tried to learn the basic steps and find our inner rhythm. Our dance instructor was wonderful and incredibly accommodating! With two months before the wedding date, we enrolled in their silver package for weddings, and the instructor helped us come up with a fun routine for our first dance. I’m proud to say that we remembered all the moved on the big day!

We had our reception site here. From the outside it doesn't look like much but once you walk in it's very beauiful. It's a ballroom and the whole floor is a dance floor. It's sorrounded by mirros and white sheeting hangs from the ceilings and on the walls. It also has a balcony that overlooks the whole dance floor.

I originally met Eilleen at a wedding expo. She was very nice and this place sounded like exactly what we were looking for and it was and more. We met with Eileen and fell in love with the place. Inically she sat down with us for a few hours and we went over possible floor plans and she helped me in deciding the perfect one for our event. The fact that we were able to have outside catering and a band is what sealed the deal for us. Many places you choose for a reception make you pay $25ish per person for an ok meal and I didn't want to do that. With Cinema Ballroom I was able to hire my own caterer at the price I wanted to pay. Also, In our meeting with Eileen I told her all the things that I would like to have. She created an estimate for me based on what we wanted.

Approximately a month before the wedding we met with Eileen again. I told her all my ideas and she went with them. She never thought any of them were crazy and did her all to accomidate them.

We also took dance lessons here with Lindsay. She was wonderful in helping us choreograph a dance to our first dance. We definetly are not dancing experts but it was nice to surprise our guests with something a little more than just standing in the same spot for a few minutes. We had 4 sessions with her and started about a month before the wedding.

The day of the wedding. When we first walked in it was beautiful and everything was as I had hoped it to be. I was surprised that there were no dissaters with all the details I had asked of them.

My only complaint which is hardly a complaint at all is I asked for them to have the room ready at a certain time. I didn't want the room to be half done when all the guests started showing up. They were not ready when they were suppose to be but instead were ready shortly after. It wasn't an issue but they had a waiting room for the guests and it got very crowded before they were ready for everyone to come in.

Cinema Ballroom took care of all our rentals. We had seat covers, tablecloths, plates, silverware, a stage, chairs, you name it. We had many rentals with them and it was great to have them take care of setting it all up and breaking it down. I also had a few things that I wanted to bring in(centerpieces, pictures, coffee maker, etc...) and they had no problem with that. They allowed me to drop off all the things the day before.

I give them a big 5 stars. They accomidated us wondefully and I will suggest them to everyone I know.
