Astrid was a great day of coordinator. Actually, "day of coordinator" is a misnomer, because she helped us for months leading up to the wedding, communicated with all of our vendors and was there for the rehearsal as well. Thanks to her, we were on top of details weeks before the wedding that we otherwise wouldn't have even considered until the day of. Her rates were very reasonable. Our guests who interacted with her had positive things to say about her. She was thorough and organized and because of that our day went smoothly. She helped make our wedding day stress free. Having that peace of mind was worth every penny!

My husband and I enjoyed working with Astrid. She is smart, thorough, down to earth, professional, and easy to work with. Her price is extremely reasonable. When we started planning the wedding, we decided to go with her Dupont Circle Package (Rehearsal/Day of Wedding Coordination) to save some money. Now that I think back, had we bought her full package we would have saved more money, not to mention time and hassle! Astrid is very creative, helpful, and experienced. We both loved our meetings with her. Her can do attitude, confidence, and beautiful smile were deeply appreciated. Our wedding was a Persian-American one, and you would think an American wedding planner would fumble with the Persian part. Not Astrid, she covered every single detail, and worked well with all of our vendors. I even consulted her about our exotic party favors so that they would match the wedding colors, and she quickly gave me ideas on how to make everything work. This was not listed in our contract, but she did it anyway without hassle! She also brought with her a very sweet and capable assistant, Jessica, who was as wonderful. Astrid also designed and made our wedding programs and escort cards. They turned out awesome! We are going to order our thank you cards through her too.

I will give Astrid full credit for making my wedding day stress-free. She isn't the typical "day-of" coordinator. Astrid met with me a few months before the wedding to make sure I was pacing well in my planning, she checked final details with my vendors on my behalf, and continued to meet with me in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Astrid is incredibly organized and trustworthy.

While it sounded stressful when she first told me that I needed to be done with everything three days before the wedding because she would be at my door to pick it all up, it was actually one of the best things she had done for me. I've watched other brides scrambling to finish things the night before, often staying up the whole night before the wedding, but there was none of this for me because of Astrid's suggestion to finish up three days in advance. I got to enjoy welcoming guests into town, the rehearsal dinner, and time with my bridesmaids, so a big THANK YOU to Astrid.

We stayed on pace the day of the wedding and never once did my bridesmaids need to be called in to help with final details. Astrid was able to coordinate within a hectic situation - the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were back to back so she needed to make sure everything was prepared and that the caterer was staying on pace. I don't know how she did it alone, but everything turned out just wonderful.

Astrid from City Affairs is amazing! I hired her to serve as my wedding day coordinator. We met a few times before the wedding and went over all the logistics of the wedding day. She is extremely organized and detail oriented which is very important when someone is running your wedding day. She was very helpful in working out last minute details, picking up all the wedding decor a few days before the wedding, and running the rehearsal. Having Astrid involved in the wedding greatly helped me be calm and relaxed prior to and on my wedding day which is priceless. My other vendors as well as my mom had nothing but wonderful things to say about how Astrid ran the wedding. I can't thank her enough for helping make my wedding such a great day for me and my husband! I would definitely recommend City Affairs for any bride who is looking for wedding planning or coordinating services.

Overall, I was disappointed by astrid's service. Her planning templates are amateurish and she was noit able to update them because of "internet connection issues". Also, at the wedding, she made several decisions that I did nit agree with, and that were the opposite of everything I said I wanted and had planned for. Basically, everything that went wrong at my wedding was because astrid made poor decisions without consulting me. She was somewhat worth the money, but I think another wedding coordinator would have done a better job. For example, before the wedding, my maid of honor had to deal with logistical issues thar astrid should have handled, but no one could find her. Unacceptable. She was at the venue at the time but was mia.

Astrid was amazing and she made our wedding day absolutely perfect.
We could relax the whole wedding day and both of us felt very calm so we could enjoy every minute of our big day.
She was very flexibel when we scheduled meetings and she was always two steps ahead.
We will definitely work with her again.

We are so happy that we hired Astrid; she took on more responsibility than we thought before the wedding and managed everything the day of to ensure as perfect a wedding as possible. She was flexible our pre-wedding consultations and took the time to walk us through planning every detail ahead of the big day. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Astrid; I found her professional, courteous, reliable, and very responsive to our needs so we could enjoy our special day. I highly recommend Astrid to anyone-especially the budget-conscious-looking for a wedding planner.

We hired Astrid to provide rehearsal and wedding day coordination, and she was a fantastic help. Knowing she was on the job really helped me relax and enjoy our wedding. She was great at helping us plan not only for the rehearsal and the wedding day but also to get our homework (programs, favors, guest book, etc.) done ahead of time so we weren't stressed in the last week leading up to the wedding. And she went above and beyond in terms of answering my emails and concerns, helping with some research for hair, makeup, and videographer, and with interacting with our vendors to make sure we had the best possible service. Our caterers ended up being more knowledgeable about our venue because they had had a lot of experience there before, but the contacts Astrid already had with our DJ and our limo/shuttle service turned out to be very helpful. She's easily worth twice what she charged us.

For months I swore that we didn't need a day-of coordinator. By the time I realized that I was wrong, there was less than a month to go before the wedding. City Affairs did an amazing job of sorting through what I had created. Astrid collected contracts and determined what money was owed, what promises were made, and what everyone should expect on the wedding day. My wedding day was worry free because I knew I had someone I completely trusted on my side. I would recommend City Affairs in a heartbeat. Best money spent throughout the planning process!
