Clara was awesome! I booked her for a trial back in May and I really liked the color selection she had! So, I later booked her for my enagement shoot and wedding. I chose to do airbrush for my foundation and it felt super light (highly recomended!). I am not normally a person who wears makeup on a daily basis but Clara made me feel like a natural beauty for the big day! Her prices are great and a lot lower compared to others. She also does a trial updo before the wedding to make sure your hair turns out the way you pictured it to be! I would definitely recommend her to friends, family, or book her for any events that I may have in the near future!

I contacted Clara in early May and she was a referral from a friend of mine. Since I was going to have my wedding reception in Los Angeles in August and I live in San Francisco bay area, I definitely wanted to arrange a makeup trial with her beforehand.

(I highly recommend a makeup trial before the BIG day as the bride and makeup artists can discuss what will be considered picture perfect for the day).

Out of the two vendors I selected to do makeup trials with in Los Angeles, I really enjoyed working with Clara. She's flexible, prompt, and responsive during all of our email and phone correspondences.

My make up on my big day in August ended up being flawless and beautiful I wanted something that was not over the top but still looked like "me".


I would highly recommend her to other brides and since she's just started her business, her rates are reasonable so don't miss out on this gem of a find!

So far I have done a trial with Clara. She is really great. She did a great job. And she has a great personality. She is very reliable and professional. She responds right away to my emails. She has the lowest price, trust me I shopped around plenty. She has a great skill for Hair and Makeup so you really are getting a great deal. I already booked her for my wedding which is on 10/02/2010. She is going to do my hair and makeup and my 4 bridesmaids and my Mom's. Just email her and she will give you a quote. I have a million fantastic things to say about Clara! Clara was recommended to me by a friend, Mimi of Mimi Nguyen Photography, who shot my boudoir photoshoot. Clara was prompt on the phone, by email, and in person, and showed up bright and early at my house the morning of the shoot completely prepared and ready to start our fun filled day together. It turned out that my hairstylist who was supposed to show up at the same time was a no show! Eek! But no worries! Clara volunteered to do my hair as well and she did exactly what I had wanted. We discussed shades and colors, the look I was going for, lash styles, etc. previously through email. She showed up with all the things we had talked about with variations and options I hadn't even thought of. She is very creative and fun, but very professional and very good at what she does. When my now husband saw the photos he was floored!! loved loved loved them! I loved my experience with Clara so much that I decided to have her do my makeup for my wedding, as well as offering her service to my bridesmaids, mom and mom-in-law. She did a beautiful job, and all my ladies were so happy with what she did. What made this experience even better was that she made sure each girl was comfortable with the amount of makeup so that no one looked too overdone. Each girl got exactly what they were looking for and they were all gorgeous. As for myself and the makeover Clara gave me... absolutely stunning! Thank you Clara. I was a bridesmaid for one of my friends who recently used Clara for her wedding make-up and hair. My friend went on test-runs with several pricey vendors and none of them could acheive the natural but polished look my friend was aiming for. Finally she tried Clara and the results were AMAZING!!! The day of the wedding, my friend looked absolutely glowing with the most dewey yet natural looking make-up and gorgeous hair. Clara gave her a down do (the bride's request) with just the right amount of volume and used this beautiful flower that just really captured my friend's style and essence. I couldn't believe how beautiful she looked and I was so glad she didn't end up using the other vendors that were twice as expensive as Clara. My friend also mentioned how nice it was to be able to spend time with Clara the morning of the wedding to chat and vent in a safe and professional but fun environment.

After I attended the wedding, I recommended Clara to a friend who was having a formal birthday party for her kids at a nice country club. Again Clara did an excellent job and gave her these beautiful smokey eyes. I was so envious that I hired Clara to teach me some make-up and hair pointers and get me ready for a family photo shoot. At first I thought the make-up and the hair might have been too dramatic but when the pictures came out - I realized they were perfect!! Clara really knows what will look good in photos and has a great eye - I'm glad I trusted her. Everyone who sees the photos tell me that I look like a model (I so don't usually look like one!) and I am so glad I invested in looking good for these family photos that will last a life time. I have recommended Clara to several other friends and tell them that they better contact her quick because she is getting too popular and will probably get much more expensive in the future.

Clara is an awesome make-up and hair artist! She is professional, talented and super sweet! Clara listens well to her clients and offers great ideas. You can tell that she loves making her clients feel and look beautiful! I look forward to working with Clara again!
