I had such a great experience at Clarices with finding my wedding dress, I got my rehearsal dinner dress there as well as my BMs dresses. As I was looking for a rehearsal dinner dress, I was expressing my concerns about finding a dress for my mom. She wears a size 20, and you just can't get an idea of what the dress will look like on her in a 12! Well guess what! They had the PERFECT dress for her to try on in a 20, and it was everything she wanted! She did order it a little late, and Hurricane Irene set the ship date back even further. It was getting a little too close to the wedding date, so Clarice's called them and they rushed it to us! All the girls there were amazing!

I shopped at several stores around the area and found many of the shops to be pushy and snobby. I was looking for a nice dress at a reasonable price. Clarice's delivered on that respect! I got the dress I was looking for at a great price! Service was okay, but did not seem any worse than any other bridal boutique in the area. I did have a mistake in the sash I ordered and a stain on the hairpiece. They were quick to replace both items without question. I did, however, dislike the list of alteration shops they preferred. I had an issue at the alteration shop and found one on my own.

I had a great experience shopping for my dress and I loved my consultant, Kelly, who is not there anymore. I had a much different experience with my shoes.. I ordered them and wanted only the bow to be dyed red, which they did but the color ran all over the rest of the shoe, so I asked them to dye the whole shoe red. The told me they were done, and when I went to pick them up nothing new was done to them. I would not recommend using the for shoes but my dress experience was great!

Even though I had read some very negative reviews about this shop, I thought maybe they were just written by really picky people and decided to go there anyway. The girl who helped me try on my dress was nice, but not long after I ordered it I got a letter saying she was no longer working there. The main reason I ordered from them is because my dress was brand new and no one else had it in stock yet. I wanted to make sure I had my dress in PLENTY of time before the wedding, so I got it through Clarice's. My bridesmaids and mother's dresses all came in on time or early. However, after the first time I was there the service slipped. They are rude on the phone and made me feel like I was bothering them anytime I called. My dress came in 4 weeks late, only 4 weeks before my wedding and I still needed alterations. I called once a week before it came in and everytime I was told that it had shipped, and should be there in 4-5 days. Then I would call back, and it still wasn't in. When you're only 4 weeks away from your wedding day, this is the absolute last thing you want added to your stress. Whether it was their fault or the designer's that my dress was late; I don't really care. The fact is as soon as they got my money they stopped any pretense of customer service and were completely rude. When I actually picked my dress up the lady did not even hand it to me. She stared me down as I had to walk behind her and pick it up from the rack in the back where she hung it. I would NOT recommend going to them.

They were just as pressure filled as any other bridal shop. They were nice, but was obvious the girl was working this as a "side job"....

I love the dress I got from Clarice's and they had a great selection. The sales associate I had was Yasmine and she was really talkative and patient. With her help I found the right dress and she was very understanding about letting me try on a variety of different dresses. The only bad thing was that when my dress came in it was the wrong size. It was four inches too short and you could see my feet even without shoes - when I had already bought gorgeous heels to wear. At first when I picked up and tried on the gown I was told it was "fine" and there's nothing they could do. So I took it home and showed my mom. She called them and talked to someone else who said it was not right and to bring the dress back. Once I took the dress back they measured it and discovered that the factory made a mistake so the dress was sent back. When my dress finally came in it was beautiful and everything was perfect. I didn't even need to have it altered at all. Everyone was very understanding and helpful. They also helped my bridesmaids with their dresses and my girls were very happy with their dresses.

I loved the dress that I got from Clarice's as well as the bridesmaid's dress, but the service not so much. I ordered my shoes from Clarice's and when they came in too big, the store manager would not refund my money even though I had never worn them and returned them to the store immediately with a receipt. She said they can't help it if they are the wrong size and they will still need to sell them, so all she would offer me is store credit.
Another issue I had was with my veil & hair pins. The store manager kept telling me when I tried veils and pins on not to look at the price. She said "don't worry about price, I will take care of you" "don't look at tags". Well when we got to the register to check out I was horrified to find that the pins were $75 dollars, which was the total amount of my store credit from the shoes. Then, I had to pay an additional $50 for the veil.
I should have spoken up, but I was emabarrassed. Clarice's is all about taking your money and not much else. They do have nice dresses and if customer service is not at all important to you, then feel free to give them a shot. I would not recommend them though and I have heard many other brides say that they ordered the wrong merchandise for them and when the bride comes to pick it up and sees that it's wrong, they will only offer store credit even though the bride is not at fault. Not a good experience.

I got my dress at clarices and most of the employees were fantastic. I was however addressed rudely on the telephone by a woman who I believe was the owner. She was extremely condescending and rude. I loved my dress, but it was always very busy and difficult to get an appointment...sometimes they overbook.
GUEST

So happy with Clarice's! I purchased my dress as well as 4 bridesmaid dresses at the store. They were very helpful. My dress was gorgeous AND it didn't cost a fortune. I highly recommend Clarice's to future brides.
GUEST

My experience at Clarice's was good. There wasnt anything exceptional. I was disappointed when I picked up my dress because I had bought it untried on and when it came in, it was HUGE. Basically it came in and I tried MY DRESS on for the very first time and I got no help. I would have hoped they could clip it or something so I could have gotten a vague idea of what this REALLY expensive dress that I ordered without trying on would look like, but no. The top of the dress was way too small, not tight, I just have big boobs and it wasnt enough coverage. The sales girl (while nice) assured me when ordering in the proper size would provide more coverage. It didn't. I suppose I just wish the salesgirl would have been more educated or experienced as it turned out to be a MAJOR issue later

I would never recommend this store to anyone planning a wedding. Once they have your money, they seem to have no use for you. The staff is extremely condescending. The woman who helped my bridesmaids order all of their dresses, advised the dress came with a shawl. I was there with four bridesmaids and my mother - that would be 6 witnesses. After the dresses were delivered to us (completely wrinkled and not at all ready to wear - awful presentation for a "boutique") I asked about the shawls, only to be told that I am wrong. The employee who told me and 5 other people to our faces 3 months ago that we get shawls with these dresses says she did not say that at all. As if she would remember from that long ago, whereas I have 5 people who say she did say that. The point being if you are a customer at Clarice's, prepare for the customer to never be right and to be told so if you challenge that. Quite possibly the worst customer service I've seen from any vendor while trying to plan this wedding.
GUEST

I loved my wedding gown from Clarices. The only problem is they do not do alterations. Have to find your own place. Was a little difficult to find someone that was able to alter my dress.
GUEST

Clarice's was very attentive and helpful. A dream dress for my daughter.

I went to a total of 10 shops before I ended up at Clarices. This is where I found my perfect dress! The staff was very very helpful and nice. She took a lot of time to help me find exactly what I was looking for. I also really liked how they had their dresses organized by style rather than designer - it made it easier to find what you were looking for. I thought the prices were VERY reasonable - my full lace dress was less than $1000, which I think is excellent for real, alencon lace! I can't wait for the dress to come in so I can work with them again. The absolute only bad thing I can say is that they don't do on site alterations, but will make an excellent recommendation! A+
GUEST

The people at Clarice's were very nice and helpful. I ordered my dress using their online website since they did not have a sample for me to try on. The dress came in earlier than expected. For my first fitting, the dress fit extremely well! It did not need any alterations, other than the bustle, sewing in cups and sewing straps on.
GUEST

I bought a discontinued dress from them for my wedding gown. They had the exact size/color/style that I had been looking for. My dress was gorgeous!
GUEST

I walked into Clarice's six weeks before my wedding (my previous dress had just fallen through). They were great. Even though they were packed and had no space for me that day, they let me look through the off the rack dresses, and helped me into a room downstairs to try them on. I got a great dress, at a great price (they gave me a discount since it was off the rack). I walked out with the dress that day!
GUEST

I found the perfect dress at Clarices for a great price. Nicole was a tremendous help to me. I definetly recommend stopping their during your dress search.
GUEST

I recommend Clarice's for your wedding gown. The sales person who helped me was very professional and very attentive to my needs and wants.
GUEST

I worked with this one person in particular, and she was very sweet. She helped me find my dress and I was absolutly in love with it. Overall I was very impressed my Clarice's. I felt like I was in great hands with them. I recommended my sister-in-law and she also purchased her dress from there.
GUEST

Clarice's was insanely helpful to me and my mother (who have exact opposite opinions, btw). I never had difficulty making an appointment or walking in. The prices were better than any other shop I was in. I didn't even find my dress at the shop but returned to order it because I felt so comfortable.
GUEST

I had a wonderful experience at Clarice's. I went during a big gown sale and even though they were very busy and I was on a budget, they paid a lot of attention to me. I didn't feel like I was ignored in lieu of other customers. They helped me with all the dresses and didn't balk about having to tie me into every single one of them and gave me honest opinions. I showed up alone to dress shop, so I didn't really have anyone to help dress me. Some places I'd visited made it apparent I was too big of an inconvenience. At Clarice's, they even took pictures on my phone for me to text my mom, who was on vacation. I was impressed with the courtesy that the other shops I visited lacked. Not to mention, I was able to get a great deal, they bargained with me, and I was able to walk out the door with my dress. They were very helpful and sweet; absolutely no complaints.
GUEST

Clarice's was a Godsend. I had been searching for my wedding dress for seven month and tried on about 100 dresses with no real luck. I worked with Katie during my dress hunting appointment and she was WONDERFUL, she picked the dress I fell in love with and I ordered it that day (Lace dress for $1000, a STEAL). My only criticism is the quality of the garment bag they give you (just a plastic bag like you'd get from the drycleaner) and they don't do alterations in house.

I am so happy that I chose Clairice's to get my dress. After searching high and low for the THE PERFECT DRESS, I could have ordered it anywhere, but after meeting Katie at Clairice's I didn't even hesitate about ordering it through them. I chose a Maggie Sottero gown, Rosemary Leigh, and even though when the dress came in, there was a minor hiccup, the situation was resolved immediately, and very satisfactorily! There was some dirt on the underside of the dress that likely happened in the shipment process from the designer to their store, but the dress was cleaned for me, and was perfect for the big day. I honestly visited and tried on dresses at over 20 different bridal stores, and in three different states (MO, CO, and IN), and I immediately knew that Katie and the others at Clairice's knew what they were doing, were very professional, and went the extra mile for you. If you live in St. Louis, or plan on having your wedding there, check them out!

Clarice's had many dresses to choose from and a nice staff, but they were not organized and seemed confused at times. My wedding shoes were not dyed even though they told me they were and would be fine. Thank Goodness you couldn't see my shoes under my dress because they were white and my dress was ivory. I would recommend Clarice's for their price, but I would be on top of them with your orders.

I had a GREAT experience at Clarice's. When I first came in Jasmina helped me find the perfect dress - I'm a very modest person and she made me feel very comfortable changing with her help. When I came back I had another lovely young woman help me pick up and try on the dress again. I had gained a little weight but was assured that it was a quick fix. After going to two different clothing alteration people and being told that the dress couldn't be fixed I went back to Clarice's with my husband - extremely upset. Katie and Jasmina helped me try the dress on again and Katie was able to fix it in the store easily! The day before my wedding I came in and Katie helped me try on the dress again - she casually asked me how I was going to put the train up and I was horrified - I hadn't even thought of that! Again, she just grabbed her trusty needle and some ribbon and fixed my problem easy. The staff at Clarice's gives a new meaning to "full service".

The people at Clarice's Bridal Fashions are so helpful and they make it really easy to go in tell them what you are looking for and let them handle the rest. They showed me a wide variety of selections of bridal gowns and I finally found what I was looking for with their help. I do not know what I possibly would of done without them. They saved me lots of money and also saved me the hassle of trying to look through all of the gowns. They took my ideas and went to work with them and showed me selections that best matched my tastes and preferences.

Amazing. Was able to get the dress of my dreams at the cost my parents could live with. I had two sisters in the wedding so i didn't want to break my parents budget just on the dress. This place was awesome and saved me tons. I priced my dress other places just to be sure and it could have cost me any where from $200 to $500 more. I didn't have to have anything done to it. it fit me perfectly the day i brought it home.

Loved it! They were a great help...dress came in early and I got a discount for paying in full! I also got my bridesmaids dresses early too!

I bought my wedding dress from Clarice's. They were very nice but I wasn't wow'd by the experience. I was stuck in one of the smaller dressing rooms upstairs although I made an appt a month in advance. The girl that helpd me was new. Luckily I knew what I was looking for because I don't think she would have been able to help much.
When I came to pick up the dress, I had a different girl but she was also new. She had to ask questions about everything. I wish they had had someone else working with her to make my experience better.

I had a great experience with Clarice's. I actually had a problem with the dress I ordered, and they were so wonderful and helpful with resolving the problem. They had a great selection, the prices were great, the staff was professional and open to thinking outside the box to help me find my dream dress. I send every bride I know there!

If you are looking for a wedding dress in St. Louis I suggest going to Clarice's Bridal. They were unbelievalbly friendly and really work with you to help you get ready for your big day. The dress that I bought from them I found at another bridal store and it was twice as much as what I paid for it at Clarice's. I'm not great at accessorizing and they were able to do it in seconds for me, which is amazing that everything they picked out I loved right away. I bought everything there; jewelry, shoes, headpiece, and bridesmaid dresses. I had a great experience with Clarice's and highly recommend it.

Everything was great about the experience working with Clarice's Bridal. I even went to well known DB and several other dress shops before going back to Clarice's. We had actually went there for our bridesmaid dresses 4 years before my wedding, and the same girl that worked with us then, was still there and remembered us. She definitely knew her inventory well. She asked me what I was looking for, I told her. She had an idea, and asked me if I was afraid of color in my dress, I said NO and the first dress I tried on for her was the one I bought. I did try on 20 different dresses (from the various stores) before deciding on the dress. There was a big difference in service quality from DB and the others to Clarices. I would recommend going to Clarice's before getting disappointed at other bridal boutiques.
GUEST

The ladies at Clarice's were fantastic to work with for my bridal dress, veil, jewelry and shoes, as well as bridesmaids' dresses. And I must say, we looked pretty darn hot because of them!!!! Jas was awesome throughout my time spent at the boutique and helped me so much!!!
GUEST

This place is AWESOME!! I found my dress in one day. Jazz was extremely helpful there and I absolutly loved my dress. It was perfect. They helped me find a seamstress to do bead work and then they came to the house where the seamstress lived to steam my dress. I couldn't have picked a better place. I also got all the bridesmaids dresses from there and I looked all around and you can't beat them anywhere for price. It was great.

After shopping at many higher-end stores in the area, I found Clarice’s to be a breath of fresh air. Not only did they listen to exactly what I was looking for, but they found me a dress that was almost identical to my dream gown, at 1k off the price. They were extremely friendly, easygoing, and made my overall bridal experience a memorable one. Also – if you purchase a gown from them, your bridesmaids get 10 percent off, as well as mother of the bride/groom, etc.
Cons: no on-site tailor – just be aware

I found my dress at Clarice's. The woman helped my find my dress (don't remember her name) did a great job of taking into account my boy type and my preferences to help me find the dress that worked best for me... and was within my price range. They certainly are sales-people and will pressure you a bit to buy the dress that day (but so does everyone); I am still happy with my decision. She was a big pushy and encouraged me to buy the veil and headpiece at the same time. Unfortunately the headpiece she recommended didn't end up working the way I wanted to wear my hair. Like most bridal shops they don't do refunds, BUT they did let me go to their vendor's website and pick the headpiece that I wanted, and they exchanged it for me. This exchange was a real logistical issue since I bought the dress in St. Louis (where my mom and sister live), but live in Chicago (where the wedding was), and the "head-piece issue" came up about 2 weeks before the wedding... But they were really flexible (they ordered the new headpiece before I'd even returned the old one, so I'd have time to try it out before my wedding day).So in summary:great value, great fit, a bit pushy, but eager to please and willing to work with you so you are happy.

The staff at clarice's were friendly. They helped me choose the correct length veil for my dress. They gave me a great deal on my dress and kept in good communication with me. They do not offer alterations. They gave me the dress in a ripped plastic bag. I had to buy a garmet bag specially for the dress since I could not keep it in what they gave me.
GUEST

Had an awesome and personable experience at clarice's. They were so helpful and made would could have been a nightmare into a pleasurable experience. highly recommend!!!

When you walk into Clarice’s on a Saturday morning there’s typically a plate of donuts sitting out on the table, it’s the kind of place where a bride can be herself, relax and take the time to find the right thing. There was no high pressure sales, no need to feel bad about a small budget. The sales women help each bride individually to pick out dresses and then help you get into them (very unusual even at the high end places). Each staff person is really sweet and truly make you feel special (even if they do see tons of brides every day). They did all my bridesmaid dresses too with easy online ordering for my out of state friends. They do a complimentary dying of the shoes to match your dress if it’s not pure white.

This store has beautiful dresses and they are all very reasonably priced. They always have a sale and give a discount if you pay in full.

My mother and I were very pleased with the selection on Clarice's website. I really had to do a lot to get my mother to shop online for her dress and mine. Someone referred me to Clarice's so I knew that their work was good. They are very professional and they back their work 100%.

You’ve got to work with Jazz. She is so sweet, knows the style that works best, and you have a great time. I loved working with her specifically. As long as you are working with her, you’ll be all –set.

This is the first place I went to look for my dress. I tried on about 10. The last one I tried on was the sales woman's pick for me--and boy was she right! I didn't like it on the hanger, but once on, I fell in love! They all seem to know exactly what style/cut of dress will look the best for your body type and they will stay in your budget area, too! I also got my slip and veil through them.
GUEST

I had such a wonderful experience at Clarices. Jaz, was the associate who helped me. She listened to what I was looking for and helped me pick out a few gowns. She let my mom, bride's maid, and I search through the dresses and pick out the ones we were interested in. When we found one we liked, she suggested others that were like it. Jaz was very helpful in the dressing room, and gave honest (I think) opinions of what the dresses looked like on me. When we found the one, she helped me pick out a veil, and made me try veils that I wouldn't have picked. I'm glad she did! Jaz helped me find the best deals (buying the sample dress - only tried on once before me, paying in full, and ordering same day). I ended up saving about $200. I had to order the veil, and when it came in it had a hole, but they replaced it no questions asked.

My wife’s gown was altered perfectly for her dimensions. She felt great and loved the finished look of the dress. The bridesmaids commented on how patient the seamstress was with their concerns.. Everyone looked and felt lovely on the big day. The embroidery of the wedding gown was so intricate that it must have taken several hours to complete. It was worth every penny. One of the bridesmaids is going to use this company for her wedding.
GUEST

I did not like the service, and it was a headach tring to get alterations.

Everyone at Clarice's was so helpful and nice everytime I called and came in. Katie was especially helpful and made it such a personal experience. I would highly recommend Clarice's for their customer service and great prices.

Clarice's was one of my favorite vendors. Helpful, friendly, and an all around great place. Jasmina is the best!

Katie and Clarice's saved the day after the mess that was my experience with David's Bridal. My dress was beautiful and they were a pleasure to work with, letting me purchase a sample dress off the rack as my wedding date was quickly approaching.
GUEST

Clarice's was great! It was the first place I went, because it was right next door to my florist, Lesher's. The staff was really helpful and pleasant. I did shop around, but ended up coming back, because they had a great selection- different styles, designers, price points, etc. I ended up getting my dress and two veils from here, one short (to the mid back) and one long cathedral length that I took off after the ceremony. The price was so reasonable my mom couldn't get her wallet out fast enough. My dress was gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. It looked like I paid four times what I actually did. The only thing was that the train of my dress kept coming undone while I was dancing and walking around and that was annoying.
GUEST

I can not possibly say enough good things about Clarices! They made my whole wedding experience very enjoyable. My wedding gown and my bridesmaid dresses were both purchased from Clarices. Everything arrived in great condition and on time! I worked with Katie when ordering my wedding gown and she was very professional and very knowledgable! She really knows the product that she sells. She picked out the perfect dress for me and then she ordered my the exact size that I needed. I thought that the sample size fit perfect. She took me down a size and ordered me a petit ( I am 5'5 and have never worn a petit). The dress fit perfect and did not need any alterations! Which can be a big money saver and is one less hassel to worry about. My wedding gown was perfect and and I truly did feel like a princess! Katie did everything she could to make my day perfect! She even came to my church the day of the wedding to tie up my corset. That is service that I don't think you would receive any where else.
GUEST

Clarices has beautiful gowns, and the women who helped me find me dress was wonderful. She had no problem with my mother and I staying for an extended period of time and then just trying random dresses, which did appear to be an issue at other shops I had visited. When we did decide to purchase my dress, the other girls at the store, who were on the young side, completely ignored my mother, who was of course paying for the dress. Once we got the dress, we found out that Clarices does not do alterations, like many other shops do, so we had to find a seamstress to shorten my hem, which was one headache a new bride doesn't need to deal with. Also, we were told on the day I took my dress home, that I could bring it back and get it steamed before my wedding for free, but when I called to schedule the steaming, they told me it would cost $40. Not a major problem, but not what I had been told originally.

I looked all around looking for a nice bridal gown. I went into Clarice's Bridal Fashions and literally saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars on my bridal gown. The staff were nice to work with and they were with me all the way through the entire process. My dress was white and gold lace. It was my favorite out of all the gown's they had. I would go back as this place really is nice. They saved me money and they also made my day. I now recommend them to all of my friends.
GUEST

Clarices did a wonderful job at helping me and my bridesmaids find the perfect dresses. They recommended a wonderful seamstress to alter them, and had very reasonable prices. Plus, they were right down the street, and I got personal service!
GUEST

Clarice's has very good prices. However, you get what you pay for, and this results in a total lack of customer service. When I got my dress it was damaged, and they would not take any responsibility for it. They attempted to halfheartedly fix it, which made it so much worse. It was only with the back-up of another customer (a stranger) that they finally admitted the poor job they had done to attempt to fix it. I would not recommend them at all!
GUEST

I went to many other dress shops before coming to Clarices and I wish I would have started there in the first place. Their professionalism is untouched by any other shop and their prices are great. I found my dream dress and they let me bring back my family and friends on a few occasions to see me in it and they never made me feel like I was a bother. My sister ended up purchasing her dress from here as well, and I tell everyone that I know who is getting married to stop there first.
