Clarion Hotel State Capital

Our out of town guests stayed at the Clarion in downtown Raleigh. We were able to get a great price for our guests in a great location. The hotel was within walking distance of our church and many other tourist sites of downtown Raleigh. I never visited the inside of the hotel but my guest said it was nice. The only problem my guest voiced was difficulty finding the hotel from the interstate.

Well this was definitely the worst part of our day. We rented this supposed beautiful circular room at the top of the hotel for an evening reception. THe planner who has since been replaced did a HORRIBLE job. We were supposed to have lights on trees taht were dangling on the floor, the food was 1.5 hours late coming out of the kitchen and was freezing cold. He was rude, and the whole thing sucked lol. Luckily we were able to drink and forget about it. We were supposed to have the bridal sweet but they booked it to someone who WASNT getting married and we ended up with a nasty small smoking room with mold all over the bathroom shower.
