Chris did an excellent job on the ceremony music for my daughter's wedding! It was played so beautifully and he made himself available to go over music selections well before the ceremony. It was never an issue reaching him or making last minute changes. Everyone was truly impressed. I would highly recommend him to anyone!! What an outstanding musician!

Chris's music is phenomenal. However, he is also helpful in selecting music and really cares about you. A few days before the wedding we added a candlelight ceremony and contacted hi. He was immediately responsive and communicated with us by e-mail and phone calls to make sure we selected the right music.

This is not a negative, but I really only remember parts of the music from the ceremony. I could tell the songs he was playing, but it was not overpowering. And it shouldn't be, it was the perfect amount of ambiance and mood-setting, without trying to steal the show.

We were beyond happy with Christopher Dunn's services for our wedding. We asked Mr. Dunn to play both our ceremony and our cocktail hour. The guitar lended such a sophisticated, yet un-stuffy touch to our formal downtown wedding. Despite the inclement weather conditions (Hurricane Irene!), Mr. Dunn arrived early and ready to play. I was too distracted to pay attention during the ceremony and was taking pictures during the cocktail hour, but know form guest comments that Mr. Dunn did a fabulous job! We recieved many compliments on the elegance of the guitar and the song selections. Mr. Dunn was also incredibly personable, helpful, and responsive to all of questions, whether by phone or email. We will absolutely seek Mr. Dunn's services for future events.

Chris was great! He was very responsive and flexible with our requests during the planning process. He was very easy to work with too. He played classical guitar for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. He sounded wonderful and it was great way to compliment our wedding theme. We had planned for cocktail hour to be outside, but most of our guests opted to stay inside with the A/C. He quickly recognized this and moved inside so our guests could enjoy the music. Many guests complimented Chris on how well he performed and that it fit our venue.

We had Chris play at my 60th Birthday Party in a private room at La Ferme, a wonderful French restaurant in Chevy Chase, Maryland. It worked out wonderfully. I play guitar myself and totally appreciated his playing, but I was a bit distracted because it was my party! However, lots of people complemented us on the guitarist, and the other amateur guitar players in the room made a point of telling me how much they enjoyed listening to him serenade the party of 25 people. He was very professional with all of the arrangements and the “business” side of the engagement; he came early and stayed later than agreed to at our request. I also appreciated that he had amplification but knew how to use it so it never interfered with people talking, even during dinner. I would highly recommend him to anyone wishing to add a touch of artistry and class to their special event.

Our guitarist was incredible - the music was beautiful, and our guests were really impressed. The guitarist performed for our entire ceremony, as well as our cocktail hour, and the fee the was extremely reasonable. Chris is an extraordinary musician. His music for our ceremony was beautiful. I wanted to have a low-key, non-stressful wedding, and I appreciated that Chris has a simple form where you can select the music for your ceremony. All the pieces he listed had samples on his website, and it was very easy to choose the music we wanted. As we had a morning wedding followed by a luncheon, with no dancing, I was looking for someone to play background music during the luncheon as well. Chris was willing to play for the luncheon and his music, which ranged between jazz/classic songs and Spanish music, created just the atmosphere I wanted. His fee is very reasonable. My husband and I have been thinking about having a party next year just to have Chris come and play. He really is fantastic.

Chris performed the ceremony music for my Oct. 9th wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with our selection! Chris was very easy and professional to work with, responded to all of my questions in a timely manner, and performed wonderfully on the big day! We had a variety of music to choose from (that we could listen to samples of) on Chris' easy-to-use website. We ended up selecting traditional processional music and the Beatles' "In My Life," as our recessional song (a favorite of mine),which were all played beautifully! Chris also performed lots of Spanish-style music during the cocktail hour, which provided a wonderful, romantic ambiance! We really enjoyed working with Chris- the music was lovely, and throughout the planning process, Chris was super responsive, flexible, and open to new ideas. Two examples: (i) we asked him to add a new song to his repertoire (a classical version of a Bob Marley tune), which he did, with about 1 month's notice, which was really great; and (ii) we had an unexpected switch of date (about 4 months before the event) and it was no problem to change it, he was very accomodating. Overall, he was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him to someone who is looking for a classical guitarrist for their ceremony.

I highly recommend Chris Dunn for your wedding ceremony. Classical guitar is such a lovely sound to have at your ceremony and cocktail hour, there's really no need to shell out for an entire string quartet. The music was beautiful and perfect for the pastoral outdoor setting. Chris' repertoire includes a wide range of classical pieces, modern songs arranged for the guitar (such as the Beatles In My Life, which we played for the processional), and spanish guitar music. Chris was also extremely helpful and easy to work with- we had a last minute issue getting amplification for our officiant and he offered to lend us his amps. The price is also VERY reasonable.

Chris was fantastic! He's extremely talented, very reasonably priced, and very easy to work with. Chris agreed to learn two new songs for our ceremony so he could accompany my niece on guitar and also to play a flamenco-style Gypsy Kings at our request. He played the cocktail hour for another $100 and wowed all of our guests. Chris is a perfect answer for modern couples who don't want a quartet to play at their wedding but who's parents and guests enjoy beautiful music.

what possibly could I say about Chris Dunn of Classical Guitar Wedding Ceremonies then abosultely perfect? He responded to emails within two hours tops, showed up way before he was scheduled to at the place of the wedding to check the place out and set up and even offered his advice to us and helped coach us before the wedding...something a musician doesnt have the responsibility of doing; however, I asked and he was more than willing to help....as far as his skills, I am a seasoned guitar player myself and the music sounded like it was straight off of a professional cd...fantastic. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an original sound at their wedding and FYI our wedding was outdoors and he was 40 feet away and was loud and clear and yet suttle during times when others spoke. Fantastic guy!

We got married in an outdoor ceremony in northern Virginia in mid-May. I worked with Chris Dunn to hire Jann, a classical guitarist. Chris was responsive and very easy to work with. Jann showed up on time, briefly rehearsed a solo with my singer and was professional throughout. His music was beautiful, and my ceremony would not have been the same without him. The guitarist was skilled, punctual and professional, while Chris was always very responsive. We got a cocktail hour for another $100 or so, which was also perfect for the simple but elegant atmosphere that we wanted.

I dont know if anyone else cares about the excellent administrative convenience of this service, but I really appreciated that the guitarist could just show up virtually unnoticed with a very small amount of equipment, plug the amp in, and sit in a corner while we all stressed out about other stuff. We didnt have to go through the drama of allocating space to a band or making sure that there was a piano in the room. There was also no need for any rehearsal or meetings--I picked selections from the website and emailed in a script of the wedding, which the guitarist had read.

Chris did a wonderful job at our wedding. The music was perfect! I think what's even more great about Chris is his flexibility and professionalism. We asked Chris to play several new songs that weren't on his list and he incorporated them beautifully into our ceremony. This included incorporating a fun little number for our officiant's (who was also our friend) entrance. Chris even stayed a bit longer to play more songs during the cocktail hour. He was always super responsive when I sent any inquiry and even provided us with the full version of our songs so that we could use them during our rehearsal. If you want to add that special touch with a live musician, I would highly recommend you go with Chris.

Chris Dunn was one of my favorite elements of my wedding. It was a garden ceremony and he sat under a tree and created the most perfect tone to my day. At the end of the ceremony, the sun came out from behind a puffy white cloud and Chris was playing "here comes the sun" by the Beatles, and this was noticed by all my guests! He was a joy to work with in the planning process and was very patient with me as I weighed all my options and possibilities. He was prompt with his e-mail replies and very affordable (I was the token budget/DIY bride). I loved his music so much (as heard on the website) I had him play the cocktail hour as well! We had a outdoor wedding and Chris set up towards the back of our ceremony site, almost where guests couldn't see him. His music sounded as if it were coming from the trees somewhere but you just couldn't pinpoint exactly which direction. He was absolutely PERFECT for our setting, and would be for any. Chris was great, and the guests raved about the music at the ceremony. He worked well with the organist and cantor so that the ceremony flowed well. He also did our 90 minute "cocktail hour" for not much more cost. Great value and a great musician!

I would highly recommend Chris Dunn as a ceremony musician. He played beautiful music at my wedding and he was so easy to work with. I did everything online and via email. He sent me a simple list of choices for the processional and recessional. I emailed him my choices and he played them. He was probably the easiest vendor to work with compared to my other wedding vendors. And his price was right in line with his competitors.

Chris did a fantastic job providing background music for the ceremony and the cocktail hour. He worked directly with our officiant to prepare for the event and learn the music which our cantor selected for the ceremony. Although they only had one hour to rehearse together before the ceremony, Chris complimented the cantor perfectly, as if they have always performed together.

Christopher Dunn is an extremely talented and professional guitarist. We truly enjoyed having him perform during the cocktail and dinner hours of our reception. We switched to a DJ to get the crowd dancing after dinner, but in all honesty, I would have been just as content to sit and listen to him play for several more hours.

The quality and ability of this young guitarist is amazing, and he's flexible and accomodating. We both wanted a classical guitarist or violinist to play at our reception, and we're very glad that we chose Chris. His musical choices were perfectly elegant, and we highly recommend him. We were so incredibly pleased with Christopher Dunn's work. Not only was he unbelievably talented but he was so kind to work with and willing to learn a song for our ceremony that was really special to us. He was the perfect choice for our small, intimate, family ceremony which took place on the patio of my parents' home. We wanted an elegant vibe for the ceremony, and Chris provided gorgeous music for our guests to enjoy as they arrived and milled about prior to taking their seats. Once the time for my entrance grew closer, I had requested several specific songs from Chris's repertoire to be played ("What a Wonderful World", "Ave Maria", "Canon in D") to set a more somber mood - all fantastic. Now this is where I have to say Chris went ABOVE and BEYOND to make me a satisfied customer... I wanted to walk down the aisle to "Clair de Lune" (my hubby's favorite); Chris had never played it before, but he taught it to himself so he could play it for us! It was an absolutely gorgeous arrangement, and he played it beautifully. Now THAT is stellar customer service!
