We just wanted to say a big thank you to Claudio. Not only did he take some amazing photos, which are so good we can't choose between them, but he was also brilliant on the day.

From our initial meeting with Claudio we knew he was the photographer for us. He was able to show us albums from a variety of events and a box of special photos each with a story to tell. We were very impressed with the relationship he had obviously built with these people.

On the day of our shotting Claudio was calm and organised. He was unobtrusive, fitted in with our plans and built relationships with our guests. So many of our guests commented on how wonderful they thought our photographer was. Creativity is one of his biggest qualities, unexpectec persperctives loaded with artistic sense on each picture gave us the most amazing results, and exclusive perspective of the event.

We are very grateful to Claudio for all his hardwork both on the day and after it. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

About Claudio Cruz

It's an honor to be part of the most important moment of a forming family. I always participate on weddings feeling the importance to capture the proper moments.
These are no ordinary images, they will be on the new family for generations to come long after the party is over and everybody is home.
Capture and perpetuate these moments are my goals, I'm a professional wedding photographer with the artistic sensibility necessary to create that sensation of "Oh My God" every time brides look at their albums.

To raise emotions on brides and their mothers after a wedding during an album review is when I feel compensated.

I cover a wedding as a photojournalist but also understand the need for formal photography when requested by the client, This approach allows me to capture all of the important details of the day. I have a very critical eye while photographing, making sure I have spot-on technical and creative work. Capturing the moments that retell the story of the day is the most important part to me and I hope to touch people involved on the special date forever.

The mix of wedding photojournalism and classic formal portraiture is what I offer my clients professionally and hope to gain new friends for life.
I do care for details and artistic images, those moments that will make family members laugh or get emotional when they see it again and again and again the images I capture.

What primary photographic style do you identify with?

What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

Is your media preference film or digital?

Digital

How many photographers do you work with?

I work generally alone but have 2nd or 3rd photographer upon request to give the newly weds different angles and perspectives as well as more extended coverage of the event.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes, unless something went extremely wrong (health, accident or any tragedy) but I never had.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

No, only if they happen in totally different hours.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

Canon 5D Mark II( I prefer to shoot full frame for a better image quality), prime lenses, wide angles, off camera flash and studio flash upon request.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

All my equipment is doubled. 

Do you charge hourly or full day?

Depends on the client needs. I'm flexible on that.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

I do need a 15 minutes break, usually during the dinner at the reception. If client offers me meal I appreciated but wont be a requirement.

Do you charge for travel?

Yes, any wedding happening outside my 100 miles range I do charge for the expenses as needed.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

I offer a online collage of the whole event within the weekend next to the event. 
The edited images will be available withing 2 ~ 3 weeks and the albums around a 15 days after the couples approve for the design.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Online

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Yes upon request if the client chose any album package. 

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes

When will the client get the final album?

Generally within a month or two of the wedding.
I need at least 20 days to design the album and send to process with the printing company, if the clients take longer to approve I will delay the delivery too.

Additional Advice

Choose your photographer thinking you will need to spend one of the most important days of your life with him/her.
You want someone that you can trust professionally and feel comfortable to enjoy your day.

If you are in South Florida take advantage of the constant sun and choose a outside location, a beautiful day is a beautiful day!

Ask for a engagement session, before your wedding on a park or beach with great oportunity to have a fresh look for your wedding album and your reception as well, me and many photographers offer prints of this engagement session to be displayed at your reception night.

If you like photography ask for a trash the dress session with your photographer, creativity will be high and you have great images to remember this moments for ever.

And if you really love photography you can invite your photographer to come with you to your honeymoon, not the whole time but the necessary to mark your albums with the first moments of the newly wed couple preparing for their new life.
