Reverend Penelope Morningstar

Penelope met with us a few months before our wedding. She guided us through how the ceremony would flow and kept in constant contact throughout out the planning process. She was very helpful and professional, she sent us sample ceremonies but also let us customize our own. After we customized our own ceremony she gave us tips on the order of events that made the ceremony flow easier. During the rehearsal she was on time and very helpful. I would highly recommend her to officiate your wedding!

We met Penelope a week before our wedding and it was such a blessing. She was understanding about our urgent situation and extremely helpful. We had a spur of the moment meeting and were instantly taken by her professionalism and kindness. She allowed us to personalize our ceremony to make it exactly what we wanted. In that moment we no longer felt nervous about our wedding, but very excited for it! Penelope even found time to come to the rehearsal dinner following the rehearsal and got to know our families, which was an extreme pleasure. She is such a wonderfully spirited person and we could not have asked for more.

Penelope did a fabulous job as our wedding officiant! She has lots of experience and you can tell! She welcomed my husband and I right away and made us feel very comfortable and relaxed! As you know, a wedding is a very personal event and we had no worries or questions about having Penelope as our officiant and recommend her to all! She did a great job and all our guest said they loved her too! What I also loved about working with Penelope was that she sent me several copies of different types of ceremonies she does and we were able to copy and paste what we liked and essentially we make our own ceremony :) ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!

We chose Penelope as our wedding officiant because of her warm energy and flexibility with the ceremony. She welcomed us into her home for an initial consultation, where she listened to our needs and told us what to expect next. She then tailored her ceremony script to be so personal and exactly what we were looking for, which was something non-secular and focused on family, and even sent us a draft to review ahead of time. Penelope was very professional and charming on our wedding day and we couldn't be more pleased. She even took a panicked call from us the next day when we thought we needed a copy of our marriage application for our honeymoon, and she let us stop by her house on a moment's notice. We would gladly recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Reverend Morningstar did a great job at our ceremony. She helped us make our ceremony unique and had good suggestions. Everything went so smoothly.

Rev. Morningstar was absolutely fantastic and a pleasure to work with. She helped with everything from the choosing of the vows to organising the entire wedding rehearsal (something I was very thankful for as I hadn't a clue what to do!!). She is an extremely pleasant and professional lady and cared hugely about what we wanted to achieve and how to welcome our guests on our wedding day (they were from the UK, so she wanted to add a section to welcome them to Wilmington and thank them for travelling so far). I hope we will keep in contact and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Penelope officiated my daughter, Lisa's wedding held at Fort Fisher Recreational Facility on May 21, 2011. The ceremony was lovely and everyone commented on that it was profound and meaningful to them. She brought so much meaning to the simple ceremony on the beach, more than I'd experienced at most large church weddings.Penelope was very patient and helpful while Lisa and Mike tried to organize an out of town wedding with neither of them in the same place during the planning stages. She did a great job. She let us personalize and gave us ideas to work from. She helped us to bring a piece of the beach downtown in our wedding ceremony. Very professional and did not make us feel rushed. She really made us feel like we were fully represented in the ceremony and had fun with us as well.

Penelope did a great job as our officiant. We liked her very much.

She was completely rude to me and my family on the actual wedding day. For the rehearsal she was late, while also changing the times of our rehearsal just a couple days before the wedding, making me have to change the rehearsal dinner time. On the day of our wedding she had scheduled 2 other weddings behind us. When we were running late, (my father wasn't there yet, he had setup the whole beach aisle) she came up to my room where I was getting ready and had words with me and told me we needed to hurry up, and that she had other weddings so we better start moving, I won't say she exactly yelled, but had a very threatening loud tone to her voice. She then threatened to leave if things didn't start moving. She never left, but in all my pictures from the ceremony I have her cranky face in every picture, in turn ruining the look of a happy celebration.

Reverend Morningstar is such a pleasure to work with. Always a smile on her face. Her ceremonies are very intimate and touching. We love having Penelope perform wedding ceremonies on our deck. She truly is one of a kind!
