We had a very disappointing experience with Complete Music DJ.
We had met Ron and Brent at the the Houston Bridal Showcase and my (now) wife really liked their personality and experience. It was for these reasons that we booked them. We booked our date and signed all the contracts and paid the deposit. We had it in the contract that we would have either Brett or Ron as our DJ and that was what was communicated the whole time.
Well the week of our wedding we were told that we would actually be getting a different DJ since Ron and Brett had a "prior commitment". The DJ that we actually received was unprepared, unprofessional, and definitely not worth the value of their services. Our wedding was a blend of two unique cultures (Scottish and Filipino) and we had spent many hours preparing specific music as well as other specific requests. This was all agreed to by Ron. Our new DJ seemingly knew nothing of these requests and when I finally got a hold of him the day before our wedding, I had to go over everything again.... And during the actual ceremony, he got so many things wrong. No one could really hear him when he spoke, he didn't Emcee the event with any confidence or control, he played the wrong songs during key parts (cake cutting, garter toss, etc), he arrived about 10 minutes before he was scheduled to start, and he didn't do specific things we had asked that we had spent hours deciding and planning for.
Anyways, the most infuriating part about the whole thing is that I reached out to Ron after the event to provide feedback (as it really seemed it was our DJ's first wedding) and actually request some money back since we felt they broke our contract.. Ron completely ignored all my calls and emails and when he finally responded, he said he would talk to the DJ and get back with me within 24 hours. That was over a month ago and I still haven't heard from him. My hopes weren't high but it was incredibly terrible customer service.
Do not recommend.

DO NOT USE THEM!!! My wedding was in July and I still have not received any word about my video from them. They are horrible!!! No returned phone calls. The owner s name is Ron, which is probably the first reviewer. The DJ was HORRIBLE!!! We had songs we wanted played, they didn t. If you are using the majestic metro, Ron and lewis must be in a partnership because we got pushed to use complete- AWFUL!!!!!!! Biggest regret and I am still fighting with them 8 months later!

DO NOT USE this company! Complete music was the only vendor I used from the Bridal Extravaganza in Houston. I kick myself for it too. I met Ron Ball the day of the show. His videos and work seemed promising. I contacted the company several times regarding a monogramming light that we also requested service on. Two weeks before the wedding Brent from the company called me to inform me the price that was quoted for the monogram was incorrect and would be additional $700.00. I refused to pay that price since Ron and I had discussed over several emails how much the monogram would cost. Thankfully I had my emails still. I was told then that my videographer would call me for all that information two days prior to the wedding. I had to call the morning of my wedding at 8am and left a message for Ron. He returned my call around 10am stating his videographer had a late night the night before but would be there at the church for 1:30pm. I was told I'd receive the video within 12-16 weeks. It took 22 weeks. I was so excited to receive the video but was immediately discouraged when the cover had my husband’s name wrong. On the actual video his name was incorrect as well. The quality of the video wasn't clear it has a fuzzy appearance and our bodies look distorted. Everyone looks short and fat. The ceremony was absolutely AWFUL. The videographer set up at the back of the church therefore he only got the back of me walking down the aisle. He stationed the camera on a tripod and didn't move the camera when we moved. On several occasions we we’re watching an empty alter. It was upsetting to see they cut out the best part of the wedding our exit. We had a firework show and left in a taxi. Overall the video was extremely disappointing. As of right now Ron has intentions of correcting it. I'm definitely not proud of the video and sad to think this is what I have to show for my special day!

Great customer service and has alot of flexibility to give you what you want. We used Brett who always checked to make sure everything was going good for us and was very nice, also very personable. When he would speak in the microphone he was hard to understand due to the sound system, he also forgot to make some of the announcements we asked him to make. The company also puts in their contract that wounding need to tip your dj 10-15% which I didn't agree with considering how much we were paying him already. During initial sound check the speakers worked fine but then when the reception started, the apeakera no longer worked which caused about a 30 minute delay and put us off our schedule. Brett handled the situation calmly and professionally.

hmmm....I put a deposit down and was told a certain balance, when I called to pay the remainder the dj tried to say my balance was higher than what it was....I let him know that was not the amount I was previously told....When we arrived at the Venue after the ceremony, my groom and I were waiting to be announced and my mom came to ask a question and he yelled at her to not bug the bride.....bad idea...especially when my mom was the one paying the bill.....I would say he did not do a good job of getting everyone up and out of their seats....

This DJ company puts on a great face! They told me everything I wanted to hear in the beginning. However, when trying to contact the DJ I picked I never heard back from him the week before my wedding. THEN the Tuesday before my big day, I got a call from another DJ saying he was going to take the place of my original DJ because the original one decided to go out of town with the owner of the company, NO ONE decided I was worthy of this information. Then the DJ I was assigned to was rude to me at my event, played music I did not want played. Disregarded my entire 5 hour playlist provided, skipped over my father of the bride toast. His attitude was not appreciated he was flat out rude to me and my parents and was only worried about getting paid. I would never recommend such a company. I am actually a professional wedding coordinator and I will never ever let a client use this company and I would hate for any other bride to have to put up with such unprofessional people. The DJ sets the tone of your wedding and runs the whole event, don't let him ruin it for you either! And on top of all this the company has refused to contact me or talk to me about the matter.

I have had several friends from Nebraska who have used Complete Music and have had great experiences! I wish we could say the same. We met with Brett and he was extremely professional, gave a great overview on their services, and we were convinced that this was the best service for the money. We had been given a recommendation to use Victor and he was our DJ for the wedding. We had provided him with a list of music that we definitely wanted to be played and gave him some specific instructions on certain songs- ones that had special meaning for our families. We should have known what we were in for when he played the wrong song as we were being presented at the reception. Seriously- how do you miss that detail? We were to come into "Beautiful Day" by U2 and instead he tried to play it as our first dance song. Really? How does anyone slow dance to this song- it doesn't even make sense if you know the music. He forgot to do the anniversary dance, and was an extremely poor emcee. Many of our guests did not even know when we were cutting the cake or doing toasts. We had specifically requested a polka (part of my family wedding ritual) and he was to announce for my uncle to come to the dance floor. Well, he played it- but didn't happen to notice that the bride wasn't in the room and neither was her uncle. When I asked him about playing it, he said he would play it again right away. He played it again about 1/2 hour later, but still didn't make the announcement. And to put the cherry on top of the sundae, we found out after the wedding that he arrived about 20 minutes before the reception started. We were told that typically they are there at least an hour beforehandto set up and get ready. We were extremely disappointed with his services. As for Complete Music, they are reasonably priced- you just have to find a DJ that knows how to emcee an event and CARES about the job that he or she does for you.

Victor Harris with Complete Music was an amazing DJ! We had a virtual melting pot of guests and Victor had every one of them up and dancing the entire reception. We requested no country, no wedding type ice breaker songs, and no techno music and Victor honored our requests completely. He was extremely professional, prompt and courteous and we highly recommend Victor with flying colors!

amazing dj service. on time, incredibly professional and committed to making your event all that you want it to be. worked with victor who did an amazing job. we decided to do a few icebreakers to get people on the floor and they were coordinated flawlessly. there online music playlist selection was very easy and Victor even agreed to meet with us several weeks prior to our wedding to iron out all the details. people are still raving about the music...some have even asked for a soundtrack! would use this service again in a heartbeat.

DO NOT USE!!!
Terrible communication, more expensive than other DJs we visited with.
DJ argued with my mother, me and my guests when they requested songs.
He introduced MOH and Best Man as the bride and groom
He "forgot" our garter song
He did not play the important songs that we requested, in a face to face meeting, 3 days before the wedding.
His reason - he did not want to mess up "his flow"

We had Mark for our DJ and he really made the party come alive! He played everyone's favorite songs and we had so much fun!

WORST DJ SERVICE EVER!!!
I wish that I had read the reviews on this DJ service... I received a recommendation for this service (for a particular DJ) from a trusted friend, that DJ was booked so I signed with another guy from the service... horrible.
When I met Joel (the DJ that was re-assigned to me one week before the wedding by the un-professional owner Ron) a few days before the wedding my husband and I really liked him, and he seemed to be on top of everything, I then emailed him a list of 72 songs...
Then the day of the wedding he tells me that he has been sick for 4 days (we met 5 days prior) and that he was unable to get the father/daughter and mother/son songs... the songs were not crazy rare songs... it was "In My Life" Beatles and "Isn't She Lovely" Stevie Wonder... UNACCEPTABLE!!! The reception was down-hill from there, he sat at the DJ booth looking sick, the volume was either really quite or really loud, and after the wedding I went over my play list... he played approximately 25 of my 72 songs that I gave him.
Lastly, the owner emailed and called me 2 days after the wedding claiming that they had been short-paid, I had to send him the email correspondences between myself and the first DJ that I booked showing the discounts that were promised. Best part, he was horribly rude even after my documentation showed that the error was on Complete Music's part.
WORST DJ SERVICE EVER!!!

I felt bad because David was our DJ for the reception, and he was great. He called and we discussed everything ahead of time. It is the owner, Ron, who I have issues with. Never got back with me to let me know I was booked. Never returned calls, or emails. It was extremely difficult to figure out what was going on. This review is hard because David was great, but I wouldn't go back through this company to use him.

We were totally disappointed with the service we received. We requested a bilingual DJ (this was included in the contract) and we had a DJ assigned to us. Two months before the wedding, I asked the owner, Ron Ball, to put me in contact with our DJ to discuss details. After about 2 weeks I was told he was fired. So we had another bilingual DJ assigned to us. We set up a meeting and an hour before the meeting he tried to reschedule. Then he showed up late to our meeting. By noon the day of the wedding we still had not finalized some details so I called him. I got his voicemail, which was full, and I wasn't able to leave a message. By this time, I had about 5 different phone numbers for him and none of them ever worked. Ron was somehow able to get in touch with him and had him call me. We got all the details worked out. We got to the reception and found out that about 2 hours after I spoke to him the DJ called Ron to tell him he had some family issue and wouldn't be able to be at our wedding. Ron sent another DJ. This DJ was not bilingual (half of our guests spoke only Spanish). He had no clue what kind of music we wanted and he didn't have the list of songs we had requested, so our favorite music and favorite songs never got played and half of our guests never understood a word he said.

Victor Harris at Complete Music was great and easy to work with. His presentation of services at our first meeting was the best we saw. The payment schedule is easy and accommodating and you are promised everything that is in your contract. He was also our MC for the evening and an excellent job. Our music selection was diverse and all of our guests were pleased and were able to make special requests. The lights that came with our package were great as well. Very professional, on time. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a DJ. See if you can request Victor!

I sent in my sheet with all the music that I wanted played at my wedding 2 days before the wedding. The DJ showed up to my wedding telling me that he didnt have the song I requested to have played while my bridesmaids walked down the aisle or the mother son dance. He could have called me before so that I could have downloaded the songs myself to be played... those songs were so important to me. THEN, all of the songs are played on a CD and when I started walking down the aisle the bridal march started skipping and the guests had to yell at him to turn it off, he claimed he couldn't so he finally just turned it down. My audience had to start hhmmming it. Then the microphone kept going out while the best man was giving his speech. Then he didnt dim the lights for our first dance but he dimmed them for every other dance... I was very upset with their service and would NOT recommend them to my worst enemy. It's your wedding day, that is not supposed to happen to a bride.

We went with this DJ service because we were trying to stay within our budget and needed to scale back in a few areas to compensate for some over-expenditures in other areas... BIG MISTAKE!! We were really sorry that we made this decision...and, would strongly recommend anyone else to spend a few more dollars to get a good DJ. Our particular DJ, Ron Ball, was HORRIBLE!!! He seemed to be completely unaware of the directions we had given him regarding our music, the timing of the music, or his general MC duties. There were a lot of moments of silence when there shouldn't have been....the music that we painstakingly picked out to make our reception special was completely discarded...and, communication with him was totally nil. He seemed to have a lot of personal issues, too. Needless to say, this was the low point of our wedding...and we are still kicking ourselves.
