We loved working with Connie. The cake tasting was wonderful, the cake we ordered was beautiful and exactly what we asked for, and everyone raved about how delicious it was. We couldn't have been happier!

Yummy! From the tasting, I know Connie knew her stuff. She had already drawn a draft of the wedding cake look I sent her via email, was super organized and I didn't have to go over what I already emailed her before the tasting (something I did with another baker----as if none of those emails were read or mattered).

Her cakes are delicious. I loved knowing I was supporting a small business owner who works from her home. EVERYONE loved and commented on the cake....the look of fondant but instead a very delicious, lick-all-the-icing-off-the-plate good buttercream. We got almond butter with raspberry, marble with chocolate, and almond butter with chocolate as our 3 layers.

Connie's Cakes are the best! She uses mostly butter cream so as not to sacrifice taste, and can make anything you want. I have been to a few large bridal shows and have tasted numerous cakes, and Connie's was by far the best. Just give her a call and I know you will be satisfied!

My daughter followed the recommendation of a friend and hired this vendor. From beginning to end, she was a pleasure to work with. The wedding cake layers were several different cakes and fillings as per the bride's request. The icing LOOKED like fondant, but was actually REAL icing. Beautiful look, without the rubbery quality of fondant. We received many compliments on the look and more importantly, the fantastic quality and taste.

Connie's Cake Creations is awesome!!! My wedding cake was so delicious and perfect. It was exactly what we wanted and we couldn't have been happier. Everyone ate the cake and we didn't have extra! Connie was very responsive and professional. She was great and definitely knows what she is doing!

Connie's wedding cakes are absolutely beautiful and taste delicious. All of my guests were raving about the cake and one friend described it as "heavenly." We're going to have a hard time saving the top layer until our anniversary! Connie is great to work with and has a wide range of flavors and fillings to choose from. If you're having a fall wedding I would definitely recommend the spice cake with the cream cheese buttercream filling for one of the layers. Connie listened to all of my ideas for designs and when the cake showed up at the reception it exceeded all of my expectations. Connie's cake was so amazing! She specializes in butter cream frosting and this is what we wanted. Although it was butter cream it looked just as flawless as fondant. Her design was just as she showed us when we met with her, and the flavors of our cake were so delicious. We had a four tiered cake, and each layer was a different flavor, with a different filling, even with this, our price stayed the same! Her prices were much lower than many of those in the area, and her cake tasted better than some of the more expensive ones that we tried. We would recommend Connie to anyone who is ordering a wedding cake!

Connie was wonderful. She met me and 4 others on a Sunday morning to accomodate my busy schedule. She offered no extra price to put a different flavor on each layer, and her prices were about the same, if not lower, than others in the area. She kept in touch regularly and delivered the cake on time and in perfect, exactly-as-we-asked-for condition. And most of all, the cake was fantastic! We got so many compliments on it. We would definitely recommend her.

I am so glad we decided to have Connie create both our wedding cake and the groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner. For the rehearsal dinner we asked for a VA Tech "Hokie" cake. She did a beautiful job on the design! Everyone thought it was wonderful! The cake ended up being completely finished because everyone went back for seconds! The same thing happened at the wedding! We expected to have leftover cake, but nope - everyone wanted more! Lots of comments from everyone about first the taste, but also how gorgeous the cake was!! We were so happy with what she produced for us!!! Connie made a beautiful cake for my daughter's wedding. She provided so many delicious samples at the tasting that my daughter decided to have each layer be a different flavor. They were all so delicious and the cake was simple, elegant, and perfect for the wedding. I would highly recommend Connie!

We found Connie through The Knot Magazine and we could not have been more pleased with our wedding cake. Connie invited 5 of us into her home for a consultation and cake tasting. We got to sample many flavors of cake, and they were all delicious. We viewed her website beforehand and had the style of the cake picked out by viewing different photos. The price was just what we expected. Connie was very easy to communicate with via email or phone. Each tier of our cake was a different flavor and had a different filling. I was so disappointed that I did not get a piece of cake from our middle tier because I had been looking forward to it since our tasting!! I hope I can ask Connie to recreate that tier for us and make us a mini-cake! :) We can’t wait to eat our anniversary tier when we get back from our honeymoon next month. Connie's cakes are delicious and moist. I gave her an idea of the design we wanted and she did a beautiful job with it. She even let us get creative with a cake stand we wanted to try out. She delivered on time and the cake looked great!

Connie is AMAZING when it comes to cakes. Lucky for me, my family has known her for years, so there was no doubt that I would choose Connie to make my cake- and I am SO glad that we used her services. Connie does absolutely beautiful work, and the cakes are delicious too. At the tasting, we got to sample each of her amazing flavors, and it was so hard for me to choose my cake flavors because everything tasted so incredible. (With her help, we were finally able to come to some great choices!) Connie only uses buttercream, which was a huge selling point for me (because her icing is SO delicious), but she makes the cakes look as good or better than fondant cakes (not an easy task). She worked with me to ensure that I got the exact look I was going for, and was very responsive whenever we needed to discuss anything.

When I got to the reception and first saw the cake, I was amazed. The cake was more beautiful than I could have imagined, and I couldn't stop looking at how great it looked!! She did an incredible job, and it was exactly what I wanted it to look like. It was a huge hit, and some people told me they went back for 3 or 4 slices because it tasted so good! We are SO pleased with our cake, and would HIGHLY recommend anyone to use Connie for your wedding cake!

Connie was great to work with! We were able to sample many different delicious cakes! She helped us with our ideas and she draws a wonderful sketch of your cake design idea which really helps you confirm your design. I brought a couple pictures I liked and Connie helped me combine the ideas into just what we wanted. The cake looked beautiful and tasted delicious!!! My sister and I both used Connie's Cake Creations and were both very happy and my cousin is about to use her for her wedding as well. I definitely recommend!! :)

I absolutely loved my cake from Connie! We met in her kitchen and she had 8 cake samples and assorted frostings/fillings for us to try. She showed me pictures and I showed her images of my dream cake - she sketched us a cake right there and was very open to my design ideas. The cake ended up exactly as we'd discussed and tasted amazing! I can't wait to eat my frozen top layer!

Connie arrived at my venue and set up the cake. She worked with the florist to decorate the cake so that it blended perfectly with the decor of the wedding and the room it was in. I had no issues with communication, flexibility, or quality - she's great! Just an idea: we had almond cake with chocolate filling on the bottom layer, and marble cake with raspberry filling for the middle 2 layers. Our top layer was spice cake - out of season for July but super tasty! Go for the buttercream frosting, it was delicious!

You absolutely cannot go wrong selecting Connie as your baker. Her prices more reasonable than anyone else we found, the cake was gorgeous, and our guests could not stop talking about how it was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten. There were tons of flavor and filling options, and she works with buttercream instead of fondant, which means your cake looks AND tastes wonderful. She'll do a private tasting for you in her home (just ask her to corral the dogs if you're not an animal lover!), and she'll basically do any flavor/filling combo you wish--or do different combos for the different layers. We were thrilled with our cake!

Wow! Connie's homemade buttercream icing and cakes are AMAZING! I had a specific design that was being incorporated throughout the wedding and she was able to put it on the cake! The cake was so delicious - the guests are still talking about it! I can't wait to break out the top on our anniversary. Her prices are extremely affordable - much cheaper than most others I talked to. I sampled many cakes and hers was hands down the best.

The cake was amazing. Connie made the cake tasting process fun an easy. Every flavor and filling was delicious. She made our cake larger to accommodate our cake topper, for no additional cost. I felt the price was very reasonable for how wonderful the cake was. On our wedding day the cake was beautiful, more beautiful then I could have imagined, and the cake tasted amazing. We had butter cake with strawberry filling and white cake with chocolate filling. I would highly recommend her to any bride.

Connie was great - my guests are still raving about how fantastic the cake tasted (lemon/raspberry and almond/buttercream). I LOVED my wedding cake! Not only was it gorgeous and exactly what I wanted, but it was delicious! Connie is very nice to work with and has a good variety of cake, icing, and filling options. My husband and I wanted butter cream icing because we both dislike fondant. Connie's butter creams were very good and she applied it so smoothly to the cake that it actually looked like fondant. Connie is recreating the top tier of our cake so we have a fresh one for our anniversary - and we can't wait to have seconds :)

The cake Connie made for my wedding was wonderful! The cake was moist and the filling and buttercream icing had just the right amount of sweetness to complement the cake. Connie is AWESOME! We met her at her home for the tasting and she immediately put us at ease. She took our ideas (we wanted a VT-inspired cake and were having doubts as to how good it would look) and turned it into such a beautiful cake! My husband still can't get over how cool our cake looked. And of course the cake tastes amazing as well- we dove into our anniversary cake the minute we got back from the honeymoon. I never want the cake to end!

Connie does an amazing job on cakes! She is a no fluff lady from her business being run out of her home to the types of cakes she offers. She has a variety but she sticks to what she is good at. If you want the fondant look with out the fondant taste, Connie is your lady! Everyone raved about the cake at the wedding! She knows her stuff!

Connie's buttercream cake was fantastic and beautiful. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about how moist and delicious it was!

I LOVED my cake by Connie. It tasted great, the value was great, she was very flexible with setup (considering I did not give her my topper till day-of) etc. The only downside was that some of my frosting did slip down on my top layer. It didn't look terrible, just a slight bulge of frosting at the top of the ribbon. I think this is due to her use of butter-cream instead of fondant frosting (although she does offer that as well). Personally, the improved taste outweighed the slight slip.

We ordered two types of cakes, one was red velvet, and the other was almond pound cake. I was not too crazy about the red velvet cake, as the other flavor was great. Make sure to not lose track of the cake material, as she charges $25 for a piece of round cardboard covered in aluminum foil and a few plastic tubes. Overall, the cake was on time and well-suited for our event.

Connie was a true pleasure to work with. She did both our wedding cake and a surprise groom's cake for us. Her butter-cream cake was absolutely delicious! All of our guests loved it - including my husband, who is a cake connoisseur. The cake was beautiful & she was much more affordable than other places we tried. Fantastic!

Connie did a great job! She was very pleasant to work with. She's very artistic and even drew us a picture of what our cake would look like so that we could forward that to the florist. That way, she could design the flower clusters and the two vendors would be on the same page. This extra step was very nice to have. The cake tasted great, and looked fabulous!

Don't even bother with the other places, go to Connie! Connie is sweet to work with, organized, unbelievably reasonably priced, and super talented. I am NOT a wedding cake person. I never eat the cake at weddings. When we went to the tasting, everything was delicious, but I still wasn't expecting too much. We mostly went with Connie because her prices were awesome, and the photographs of her previous cakes were really elegant, and exactly what I was looking.

Once we booked her I basically didn't interact with Connie until one week before the wedding, and that was only to get her the ribbon for my cake. I totally loved her minimalist approach, and the fact that she really didn't take up much of my time at all. She knew what I wanted, and totally delivered.

On the wedding day, the cake was BEAUTIFUL. Exactly what I was hoping for. Very simple ivory butter cream frosting with white piped icing, and a ribbon around the bottom of each layer. Not only was the cake gorgeous, but we received absolutely rave reviews of how it tasted. I thought that it was great, but it wasn't until people were seeking me out asking who did the cake, and professing that it was the best cake they have ever eaten, that I realized how freaking good it really was.

Long story short, go with Connie, she rocks. End of story.

Save your money and use Connie! We have guests still talking about how good the cake looked and how good it tasted. We were a bit hesitant because the price was lower. She allowed us to completely design the cake and her ideas matched well with ours. Do not be put off that she does her business out of her home...her end product is well worth it.

Everyone commented on how delicious and beautiful our wedding cake was. We were able to customize the cake how we wanted and we just finished our anniversary cake which was excellent even months later!

Connie's wedding cake was exactly what we wanted! It was a decorative piece that everyone commented on during the cocktail hour and reception. On top of that, it tasted fantastic. Easily the best wedding cake we had ever tasted, and all of our guests agree! Our only regret was not ordering more so that we could have more leftover! Connie was great to work with, and we would recommend her to anyone!

OMG. That's all I can say. My wedding cake which Connie made was the BEST CAKE I have ever tasted. I couldn't believe how good it was. The tasting we did in her kitchen was a lot of fun, but when it came to the day of the wedding, the cake looked beautiful, and tasted INSANELY GOOD. TO DIE FOR. One of my guests was a pastry chef from California, and he wanted to know who made the cake and what did she call the layers (we had almond cake on the bottom with buttercream filling, white cake with chocolate filling, and almond cake with raspberry filling). I only tried the bottom layer- but I ate 2 huge slices AT the wedding. I hear no one has time for eating at their own wedding, but I made time for that cake!!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious! I have been to many weddings where the cake looked good but tasted awful, but we got many compliments on how good our cake tasted. Connie was extremely professional. I was extremely impressed at how organized she was even from the time of our tasting months before the wedding.

I guess I'll start at the beginning. I contacted Connie after a few recommendations from other wedding vendors. Our tasting was wonderful. We tried a sample of all her cakes with the buttercream frosting. If that wasn't enough, we also got to add fillings to each of them...yummy!

I told Connie about my "dream" cake and she really made it come true. White buttercream icing, with white chocolate flakes around each layer. It was so classic and beautiful.

Not only did my cake look great, it was also delicious. We had three flavors. The bottom was lemon cake with raspberry filling, the middle was white cake with chocolate and the top was butter cake with strawberry.

Now I have to admit that my only taste at the wedding was during our cake cutting ceremony, but lucky me I have my entire top layer at home to enjoy! I think some of the best compliments I recieved from people were that normally they don't like cake, but that my cake was one of the most tasty desserts they have ever tried.

Connie really did an amazing job! I think that there are a lot of people out there who can make a cake look beautiful, but Connie combines her design talent with amazing flavor and creates the perfect wedding cake.

Connie's cakes are amazing. One of our guests, a cake fanatic, came up to us during the reception and raved about how much she loved the cake. We had a bunch of guests ask us if they could take home a piece because it was so good. Even our event coordinator exclaimed "I love Connie's cakes!" when I told her who would be providing our wedding cake.

Connie's cake was wonderful! Our initial tasting, in her home, included many of her flavors and fillings rather than just a couple. She was very easy to work with and the final result was not only beautiful but tasty. I also felt she was more reasonably priced than some of the other vendors we considered.

What can I say about Connie? She is the best hands down!! I have known of Connie and had many of her cakes for over 10 years. In fact, she did my sister's wedding cake in 2001 and a friend's wedding I was in in 1999! She also made my mom's 50th birthday cake and my 30th to boot. What I am trying to say is you should look no further!!
She did a very elegant, 3-tiered cake for us (she specializes in buttercream frosting, which we like, as we are not fans of the fondant which seems to be very popular these days). She also did our groom's cake, Mario game board style. It turned out exactly as my husband envisioned it!
The thing about Connie's cakes are they are not only very tasty, but moist and flavorful! We did 3 different flavors: marble with chocolate mousse filling, lemon with strawberry filling and the top layer butter with chocolate mousse. I can tell you that the two things people talked about after our wedding was, our awesome DJ and the delicious cake!! She recommended not waiting year to eat the top layer and I found that to be good advice. We celebrated one month with some cake and it tasted as good as it did on the wedding day! We have a little more left that we will finish off for our second and third month anniversary too :)
Connie is a very sweet, friendly and creative person. She is so easy to work with and I believe is the best priced cake creator you will find around!! I would suggest you run, not walk to try Connie's Cake Creations!!!!

The wedding cake was delicious!! I am not a big cake fan, and neither is my husband, but we devoured our piece of cake! We had so many compliments on how good the cake tasted, even by other dessert hating people such as ourselves! The price is also much cheaper than many other cake vendors I checked out, and for the taste, it is well worth it! Her decoration skills aren't as good as other vendors I checked out in the area, but it depends on what your priorities are. I designed my own cake, because I wanted it to match the design on my invitations, and overall it looked pretty similar. I wished it had turned out a little better, but the design was kind of intricate, with a lot of swirls. It probably would have looked neater if fondant was used to make the patterns, but I'm sure that would have put my price up, and it wouldn't have tasted as good. She asked me to send her a paint swatch of the color I wanted for the design, and I feel like she matched it very well! I even had glass boxes in between each layer (3 layer cake), that were filled with flowers, and she worked with my florist to make my vision come to life. It looked exactly how I had pictured it, and I was so thrilled it worked out!

Our wedding cake looked and tasted amazing!!! We also did a Red Sox grooms cake that turned out amazing as well. All of our guests said how great our cake looked and tasted. A year later on our one year anniversary we enjoyed the top of our cake and it still had the same great taste!! We were very pleased and would use her again for another cake!

Ladies! She is fabulous. Not only did our cake cost $600, fed 300 people but we had two different flavors and fillings, includes delivery fee (which was over 30 miles) and floral arrangements and set up at the site.

When I had first talked to Connie, she was already booked for my wedding date but she still took time to check her timing schedule and said that if she was allowed to drop the cake off at my venue a little earlier than the ceremony that she could do it. I was so happy that she was going out of her way.

I originally chose Connie because she used buttercream frosting and not fondant - the fact that she was so incredibly nice was an added bonus. My fiance and I did so many different layers, cake flavors and filling to give our guests choices and Connie was encouraging about everything.

Connie's cakes are amazing! She works out of her home so this cuts down the price of the cake, but don't be fooled! Try it for yourself and you'll see, it will be the big hit of your wedding! We customed designed our own wedding cake and we had her make a fun grooms cake. I'm a yankee fan and my husband is a boston fan so we had a sheet cake designed like a baseball diamond with a yankee and boston batting helmets facing eachother. I have cake left over and I cannot wait to dig in!!

Connie is great, I knew I didn't want a cake with fondant (because I think it tastes disgusting!) and when she said she specialized in buttercream I was pretty much sold - then I tasted her cakes and I was completely sold. Not only do her cakes taste great they also look beautiful -you would never even know the frosting was buttercream until you tasted it, she has mastered the look of fondant without actually using it. Outside of the cake itself, Connie was always very quick to respond to my emails and was very prompt and delivering and setting up the cake.

EVERYONE said how beautiful the cake was - but even better was how delicious it tasted!!! Connie does beautiful fondant worthy designs out of buttercream frosting (so much yummier!) She also let us pick a different flavor combination for each layer which was a fun treat for our guests as well! Way better price than some of the larger bakeries in the area as well!

Connie was great to work with. We came to her house and did a taste test and looked at pictures of all the cakes. However, we were able to design and mix flavors how ever we wanted, and we even changed our design a little before the wedding. It tasted and looked great! So many compliments!

Connie can bake!! Oh my goodness! When people asked us what we were looking forward to the most, we replied "the cake"! We had had some of Connie's cake at a friend's wedding and fell in love with it. She makes her own buttercream icing! Yummmmmm! My mouth waters just thinking about it! She was so welcoming during the cake tasting and completely catered to our wishes. She was the cheapest that we interviewed too! I cant believe how good it was. People are still talking about how moist and delicious our wedding cake was and to top it off, it was GORGEOUS! Connie gets 10 thumbs up from me!

Connie is both personable and professional, and her cakes are simply outstanding. We received countless compliments on the cake during and after the wedding, and we relished polishing off the remaining few slices in the weeks following the wedding. Connie made the entire process very easy. She hosted us at her house to try all of her cake flavors and frosting flavors, showed us examples of her work, and made it clear that she would be flexible about the cake layers and frosting flavors until very close to the time of the wedding. As it happened, we took advantage of her flexibility, making changes as late as a few weeks before the wedding. Besides the quality of her cake and her pleasantness, she is very skilled; she took a PDF of a drawing of our vision of the cake and made it real (and delicious), crafting beautiful hearts on its exterior and banding it in elegant ribbon. Finally, you will have a very, very difficult time finding anyone who is less expensive per slice than her. In sum, her cake is wonderful and affordable, her frosting is amazing, and her presentation is regal.

Connie was a pleasure to work with. We booked Connie a year in advance as we moved out of state and wanted to take care of as many wedding details as we could before we left town. We met with Connie, tasted her cakes and immediately made a deposit. Everyone one of the cake flavors that we tasted were delicious! I don't normally like frosting, but Connie's was excellent....not too sugary or anything. We were able to select a different cake flavor for each of our 3 layers. Unfortunately we were so busy dancing and socializing that we didn't get to eat our own slice of cake at the reception. Luckily we took the top layer home with us and were able to eat it the next day.....and it was well worth the wait! Our guests are still complimenting our cake selection. And the price was very affordable, especially compared to other bakers in the area.

Connie is a master baker! My wedding coordinator and I were having a very difficult time finding a baker that was responsive and could create the cake we wanted. Then she recommended Connie's Cake Creations. After I met with Connie and tasted her samples I was certain she was the one to do our cake. And she was! The cake she created was not only gorgeous and looked exactly as we discussed, but it was the best tasting wedding cake I've ever eaten. I know all brides say that, but everyone who tasted the cake at the wedding said the same thing!!!
