Cooper Street Bakery

What a find! I was unimpressed with the going rate for wedding cakes when I first started my search. After hours of sifting, I stumbled across a review for the Cooper Street Bakery out of Arlington. I decided to look over their website, then dropped by with my mom for a tasting and consult. I'm so glad I did! The prices were reasonable, the cake was delicious, and the staff were wonderful. All in all, I'm so glad we found them and were able to work with them!

If you're thinking about booking with the Bakery, be sure you get your order in EARLY. Their schedule fills up very quickly, and once it's full you're out of luck. It just speaks to how great their service and products are. They also don't have email, so business has to be handled in person, by phone, or via snail mail. In our case, my husband and I are in Lubbock, so that was a little trying, but not a big deal at all.

The only problem we encountered was over the delivery. They'd not heard of our venue or the small town it's in (Justin), so we were quoted a price based on my rough description of the location. When I went back a couple of weeks from the wedding, the quoted delivery price was much higher than before. This was totally understandable, as it was further than first thought, but I was surprised (and already on edge with the whole "Wedding's in a couple of weeks!" thing). However the owner told me they'd stand by the original quote, despite it putting them out. I offered to pay the higher price, but was not taken up on that.

The day of, I didn't even see the delivery. They were in and out so quickly that we didn't get a chance to thank them! The whole process was very efficient, eliminating a lot of potential stress. The cakes were gorgeous, and really good. Many guests, and all of the family, complimented both the bridal cake and the groom's cake on both appearance and taste.

I cannot recommend the bakery highly enough. The entire process was so easy, despite the minor hangups. We'll definitely be using them again for birthdays, anniversaries, and any other excuse...

Yum! Beautiful! Those two words sum it all up. Not only were our two cakes yummy - can't wait to bust out the topper on our one year - but they were also great looking. I gave only a basic image of the wedding cake and they came through perfectly. And the groom's cake was such a deal! I had no idea they could make such a cool Blackberry cake for such a great price!!

Our Cake was delicious. We had so many compliments. We got a wedding cake and groom's cake. They were both beautiful! The people at Cooper Street were so nice and easy to work with. They delivered on time and the cake was just like I pictured it! Prices are more reasonable than anywhere else!

Our wedding cupcakes were a good value and tasted fine. Some of the cupcakes seemed a little dry, but overall they were good. The owner was slightly unprofessional in dealing with us, but we were satisfied with our choice.

We came to Cooper Street Bakery with a near impossible request...Can you have the wedding cake of our dreams ready for us by next weekend? While most bakerys would have laughed, they got down to business. The cake was absolutly beautiful, more than we imagined, and the price was unbeatable! We are customers for life!

This place was very easy to work with, and the cakes were delivered right on schedule. We used them for the brides cake and the grooms cake. The cakes were gorgeous and better than I could have even imagined! Not to mention it tasted great!

Delicious cakes at great prices, Italian cream -mmmmmmm! Bakery is kind of a hole in the wall, but their cakes and service is great, and prices can't be beat. They don't take credit cards though, check or cash.

My wedding cake was beautiful. 3 Tier butter cream with orange and burgundy roses. This is the second cake, 1st wedding cake I have purchased at Cooper Street. I was suprised that the cake tasted as good as it did, because I am a cake decorator also. It was really good. I would recommend... be very specific with your colors. The burgundy was very dark, almost a chocolate color and the green leaves (which we talked about) were also very dark. I was thinking more of a soft light green and it was more of a hunter green, which I thought was too dark. I think this was more my fault. I should have been more specific with the colors I wanted. Other than that, the cake was very pretty and tasted great!

best cakes, great to work with

I wanted a simple, sleek cake and I got a cake that was good tasting, but didn't look very sleek. I expected it to look a little more professional in the frosting smoothness and in the scrollwork on the sides. We ended up covering it with frest flower petals.
