Country Elegance Florist
The only fresh flowers I had at my wedding were the bouquets and bouts. I made the boutonnieres myself so I can only really comment on the bouquets. I thought they were very nice. I visited their website and found one I like but modified slightly to match my colors. I wish they had told me that Gerber Daisies wilt so quickly. That is my only complaint. They lasted through the ceremony but were pretty droopy by the end of the night. I'm not a florist and I was basing my decision on one of their photos so I didn't have this information. Otherwise, things worked out well.
They were very helpful at first at Country Elegance. They had lots of albums and books to look at for ideas, and color-coded cards with the names of flowers on them. They were honest in what flowers would do well or not so well in any particular arrangement.
Two months before our wedding, I decided to order high quality faux flowers for my bouquets, 3 corsages, as well as a small arrangement for the memorial we were going to have. So we canceled everything in our Country Elegance order except for items x and y--everything but two items.
The inlaws picked up the flowers for us (since for some reason they don't deliver on a regular Saturday?), and to our dismay the florist had still included 3 corsages and TWO memorial arrangements. Apparently they don't listen very well when you call to cancel half of your order. No wonder why our bill was higher than we thought it should be! We ended up with SIX items instead of TWO! We only ordered one memorial to begin with, and they gave us TWO after we cancelled it! On top of that, the flowers for the corsages were wilty and one of them wasn't able to be used at all. After calling to complain, and the woman saying "yeah, I think I remember you saying something like that...." (about canceling everything except items x and y), and we got a measly $55 credit back. We won't be recommending CE to anyone as far as we're concerned. I gave 2 stars instead of one because as far as the flowers were concerned--except for the corsages--the flowers were ok. But we didn't appreciate paying an extra $200+ for our flowers because of THEIR...
Terri did a fine job arranging my flowers except for the fact that we had a disagreement about the colors of the leaves. I wanted them spray painted black (which is what i was shown in a picture) and she at first spray painted them brown becuase she thought it looked better. While asthetically it may have looked better with the brown my colors were pink and black not pink and brown. The mistake was rectified and the arrangements overall looked quite nice. I also had some problems in that i did not get a copy of my price quote for about 4 weeks after my consulation. I actually had to call in and request it. Lastly, although the flowers looked nice it seemed that if i had a question or a concern Terri would be personally offended if I didn't like what she had done. I don't beleive i was ever rude or condescending but I was concerned about hte shape of my bridal bouquet and she seemed a little offended by that. Overall the flowers themselves were beautiful and the bridesmaids bouquets looked lovely.
Terri is so fun and fabulous. I couldn't have asked for a better florist. I felt like she really wanted my wedding to be wonderful and perfect, and because of her and Country Elegance it was. They helped me find the perfect fit between budget and beauty! I was so impressed.
