The Court in the Square

We were married at Court in the Sqaure in August 2011 and are so happy with how our wedding day went. The space is gorgeous and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. They were flexible with the menu and we received great feedback about the food.
While we didn't hear from our main contact a lot during the planning stages, he kept everything organized and simple and everything turned out as planned.

We loved the Court in the Square as our venue (for both the ceremony and the reception) because it was so small and charming, but unfortunately you have no option for catering but to use the in-house staff. Bob was difficult to get ahold of throughout the planning process and we would have to constantly send reminders to get updated/revised versions of our menu. We went with a "small plates/appetizer" style menu, and cost was completely subjective, sometimes going up, even though we cut out items to stay within our budget. We weren't able to get a sample of our menu items, but were able to get a sample from another wedding so we could see the "quality" of the food (which ended up being better than we expected, as we kept expectations low.) Bob got a little easier to get ahold of closer to the wedding (and as I learned to pester him more frequently and keep a closer eye on all of the costs) and he and Jackie (his assistant) were actually amazing on the day of (which is why they get a few stars instead of 1 or 0). Its actually 3 weeks past our wedding and we're still waiting to get our final invoice (even though we have sent reminders).

Bob took care of all the little details after letting us basically design the wedding we wanted. The venue itself is extremely unique and gorgeous. We still hear from our guests about what a beautiful location it was. When the sun went down, it felt like we were dancing in the moonlight, given the glass walls and ceiling. If I could do it all over again, I would choose this place in an instant.
Located in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square neighborhood and Occidental Park, Court in the Square is the perfect setting for the cosmopolitan, urban style wedding.
The room is filled with natural light pouring through the Court’s five-story glass-enclosed architecture and has a mirror-lined wall with reflecting pond that adds to the dreamy atmosphere.
Immediately after the ceremony, you can be whisked away to the rooftop for a private moment alone enjoying sunset with Seattle’s towering skyline as your private backdrop.
At night, guests enjoy dancing around the Court’s historic glowing streetlamps.
