Wedded Luxe

My husband and I won a contest sponsored by Couture Events by D / Wedded Luxe. We won free wedding planning services via the company's Luxuriate Package, which includes full service wedding planning and design. My (now) husband and I got engaged in February 2009 and our wedding was in August 2009. We won the wedding planning contest in early April, so by that time we had already made a lot of our wedding decisions (wedding dress) and booked our venue, florist, officiant, and videographer. Deniesha met with my husband and I four times--first for an initial meeting, next to meet with the florist and discuss centerpiece ideas, then during our final meeting at the wedding venue to go over last minute details, and lastly on our wedding day. Our initial impressions of Deniesha were that she is friendly and easy to get along with. I sent Deniesha emails asking her opinion about things such as tricky invitation wording, centerpiece ideas, ceremony walking order, cardbox holder, makeup artists, and bridal party gifts. When she wasn't sure about the answer, she would do research and get back to me with a good response. It was nice to be able to brainstorm with Deniesha. She was typically prompt about replying to emails although there were a few weeks where she was occupied with another wedding and took a little longer to respond. I kept Deniesha in the email loop along the way and emailed her photos of the groom and groomsmen tuxes, the final centerpiece idea, the final invitations, etc. Deniesha made a checklist that she emailed to me. She would check in with me periodically to make sure that my wedding planning was on schedule and always asked what help I needed. I'm a pretty organized person, so I probably didn't use Deniesha's pre-wedding services as much as I could have. I think she probably would have been helpful with the wedding venue selection process if we hadn't already picked a venue. I was determined to stay within budget and Deniesha was very understanding of this. She didn't push me to spend more than I was comfortable with. Having Deniesha around organizing the day of the wedding was truly a blessing. Even though we already had a great banquet manager and maitre'd assigned to us at the wedding venue, having a wedding planner the day of the wedding was fantastic and is highly recommended. Prior to the wedding, I gave Deniesha a list of very specific instructions with pictures of how I wanted things set up. I think she really understood the vision that I had and helped me execute the vision without my having to get stressed out or be super involved the day of the wedding. As a bride, I really appreciated the opportunity to let someone else be in charge so I could enjoy my special day. If I didn't have Deniesha that day, I probably would have been a ball of stress! I planned as much as I could before the wedding and then let Deniesha run with it the day of the wedding. Having a wedding planner was especially helpful because we weren't 100% sure of the rain situation on our wedding day. We had originally envisioned an outdoor ceremony, but one hour before the wedding we had to have everything set up indoors. Deniesha worked together with our florist to ensure that the ceremony room, reception room, centerpieces, unity candle, card table, guestbook, table map, sweetheart table, photos, cardbox, programs, and table number frames were set up appropriately. She was the point person between the vendors and the wedding venue. She and the maitre'd kept the wedding running on schedule. She was very cool, calm, and collected. Deniesha was great at locating lost objects (bridesmaid fan) and people (friends and family members who got lost when we needed them for photos). After the wedding she even dropped off columns at our florist's place so we didn't have to worry about them post-wedding. Deniesha's/Wedded Lux' services are highly recommended. Finding D. Joseph was the best thing that ever happened to me. I felt that I could have planned this wedding by myself, boy was I wrong. I realized that I can help with other people weddings but when it is your own you need all the help. Juggling a new job, D.Joseph simplified my wedding plans so much that I was not taking on everything at one time. Everything was done in moderate time that was excellent for me. Whenever a problem arise D.Joseph was always there for me. She provided me with different solutions. She was always a phone call or email away. What I loved so much about D.Joseph she always return my calls. When I was stuck on finding vendors, D. Joseph has a group of network vendors that excellent, professional, easy to work with, and worked with to have my vision come through. They worked tiredessly on making my event special for and to me. D.Joseph staff was extroadinary. My family and friends loved her staff and said, "They are good". Not to mention the design of my center pieces, was sooooooo beautiful. I am still getting complements about my flower arrangements. D.Joseph was able to take my ideas and create a magnificent floral center piece. If you was thinking about getting a wedding planner, you cannot go wrong with getting "Couture Events by D". My wedding was design for me and no one else, not to mention my wedding was a bit challenging because I had a guest list of 400 people. D. Josesph came through like a star. I can go on and on about D.Joseph, but to some it up, Your wedding will be design by D.Joseph, just for you. More importantly, I would recommend D.Joseph to anyone and I recommend her for you. Deniesha was warm, welcoming, professional and understanding from the very beginning. She was open to work with us in our unique situation of having a wedding in New York while living in Tennessee. I called her worried that I couldn't pull it all off but by the time my day rolled around, everything went off flawlessly! It was an amazing experience and I have her to thank for it. My groom, our parents and I were all able to sit back and enjoy our day thanks to her willingness to take the reigns and handle all of the behind the scenes things throughout the planning process and on the day. We had 15 people in our wedding party (not including us) and 9 of them were females. Needless to say with that many women trying to get glammed up for a wedding, things are going to come up. Thankfully, every hiccup was handled with care and professionalism and went virtually unnoticed by me or my husband.During the planning process, it was clear that she had experience and knew what she was doing. Deniesha made sure that every base was covered when dealing with the vendors and took care of things that we just would have never thought of because it was our first time planning a wedding. Also, she was more than willing to do things for us that we just either didn't have the time to do or were just unable to do because we were in TN. Every meeting, task or project that we entrusted her with she came through for us. I am certain that it was because of her thoroughness and preparation that wedding day turned out so well. I would HIGHLY recommend Deniesha to anyone looking for someone to plan their wedding. After having a wedding, I realize that having a planner for AT LEAST the day of the wedding is a MUST if you want to enjoy the day fully. And if you're interested, Deniesha is the Event Planner for you!

A friend, whose friend used Couture Events by D to plan her wedding, referred me to Deniesha. After my first meeting with Deniesha I was sold, not just because her prices were reasonable but because she was warm, honest and accommodating. She reassured me that she could do all that I was asking for and even did some prelim work to ease my worries. Her portfolio was great and I was able to rest easy the months before my wedding knowing she would take care of the things I could not. Come the month of the wedding Deniesha was handling all outstanding tasks. There were some bumps in the road and costs cut at the last minute. She was very helpful in cutting the costs but maintaining the overall look and scheme we had chosen for the wedding. She also helped me to see the value in paying for services I would have otherwise skimped on like make up and high quality real flowers. Those things made all the difference the day of the wedding. I was glad I didn’t do them myself or go with fake flowers to save money. On the wedding day, the ceremony & reception rooms were transformed from flat to fab! Everyone was so impressed especially the wedding party who had seen the room three nights before. The details were magnificent, the flowers, centerpieces, seating arrangement display, everything was just beautiful. The bridal bouquets were jazzed up with matching stones on the ribbon that wrapped the flowers; the broom was dressed lovely in ribbon, roses and stones. Deniesha did an outstanding job with the wedding décor. I would recommend her to anyone who needs that help. At first, I thought it unnecessary to have a wedding planner. However, in the end I appreciated having her there so I could just relax and be a bride. Deniesha thanks for helping to make my wedding day wonderful and stress free!

I’m terrible at planning the smallest events and when it came to planning my wedding I knew I would need some help. I reached out to Deniesha and from our first meeting I felt so at ease. She helped me set a budget, stick to my timeline and when my reception venue had to cancel, she was right there to help me find a new one in no time. My guest loved the centerpieces so much they all wanted to take one home. I had a great time and it wouldn’t have been the same without her. I can’t thank her enough.

My wedding day was beautiful, stress free and so much fun. You would have never known there was a blizzard outside!! The day of my wedding there was over 2 feet of snow but Deniesha and her staff did not flinch or panic and that help set the tone for the day. I was calm, cool and collective and my guest followed suite and embraced the beauty of the snow instead of letting it ruin our day. She even suggested we take a picture in the snow and it’s now my favorite picture. She was there to orchestrate a safe and timely move from my home, the ceremony and to the reception. She also helped me put all the details of my wedding day together in the final months of planning. I couldn’t have gotten through the day without her help, attentiveness and pleasant personality.

I contacted Deniesha from the very start of the planning process. She was there every step of the way. She helped make the planning process as easy as possible and it was so much fun! She helped me pick all my wonderful vendors, the venue and all the décor for the day. It was a beautiful day and my guest raved it about for months. I couldn’t have done it without her help.

Deniesha came to my rescue in my final weeks of planning my wedding. Six weeks before my wedding I had no DJ, transportation, flowers, bridesmaids’ dresses or favors. And to add to my troubles, I was planning a NY wedding from Virginia. She came in and had everything booked in 2weeks!! My wedding day was perfect. No one would ever know she did it all in 6 weeks time and well within my budget. I had a great time and my guest had a great time. She saved my wedding day.

Couture Events by D is an amazing company! I had the priveledge of working with her on Saturday and she was everything that a day-of coordinator should be: always there when she's needed, always working one step ahead of everyone else and completely un-obtrusive at the same time. Highly recommended!
