I can't say enough wonderful things about Craig Larsen. I used him for both my engagement photos as well as my entire wedding.
He provides a beautiful blend of candids and staged photos, has an incredible artistic style to make everyone and every moment beautiful.
Craig provides both honest and open feedback, great guidance to capture the perfect shot, create a story of the moment, and build a collection of museum quality portraits that will be treasured on anyone's wall or album.

Craig dedicates significant time, loves people and can get anyone to warm up and capture the natural beauty of the event.

I highly recommend him for any wedding.

Craig was so professional and friendly. He knew when to help and when to step back and just capture the moment. He made us feel so comfortable and it was great for me and my wife to not have to worry about the day. He not only took amazing photos capturing the beautiful day with my new wife and our familes, he also helped with other parts of the wedding, since we had friends doing it and did not know exactly what to do. Craig also gives a great value and is very fair and works with you. I will use Craig for all our special moments with my wife and family for years to come.

Craig was amazing! First of all, he did two engagement sessions with us because the first one was a soaker. He also had the most reasonable pricing and went the extra mile to surprise us by showing up at our rehearsal dinner. Craig's son, Craig, also helped so we had two photographers for our wedding which was an added bonus.
We love our photos! Craig is a great guy!

Craig is the ultimate professional. He listens, knows the right questions to ask, supports and assists the bride and groom in their photography choices, and basically becomes part of the family. That said, he knows where to draw the line with familiarity and literally fades into the background during the wedding ceremony. He meets every deadline and helps with final photograph choices. His tremendous sense of humor puts everyone at ease. We could not be happier with our pictures and we can't say enough great things about working with Craig!

The photographer we contracted for through Craig Larsen Photography never showed at our wedding in 2008, and Craig Larsen himself only showed 1.5 hours later after a call was placed to him. He tried to renegotiate the contract and wouldn't admit that they screwed up. What's even worse is that he wouldn't give us our deposit back, and we had to take him to court to get it. Steer clear of this one!

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

Yes, Hand-coloring thru toning and split toning.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

I have exerience in all forms of lighting situations including a special fondness in creative low light situations.

Is your media preference film or digital?

Digital.

How many photographers do you work with?

1-3

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

I am always at every event.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

Never more than one event per day.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I shoot with Canon equipment. I bring 4 Camera Bodies, and a plthora of lenses.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

See above. (yes)

Do you charge hourly or full day?

Preset time coverages, although I do have an All-day coverage.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

Yes. The fee is based on a pro-rated rate of the particular coverage the client has booked.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

There are many moments that I can take mini-breaks during the day. I do not require meals, although I tend to work with clients that take care of their vendors.

Do you charge for travel?

Yes. Anything round trip beyond 50 miles.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

7 days.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Posted on Private web site.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

Indefinately. They are yours.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

The creator of the image is the copyright holder. I provide user rights to the clients to print, share, show, copy, etc. The clients make do whatever they would like the images.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

I request permission to use the image in advertising.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Yes. They receive copies of all the images tken at this event.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Yes.

What kind of albums do you offer?

Everything from Blurb Albums to Tuscany. All types.

When will the client get the final album?

The client receives the album within 3 weeks of approval of the final album lay out.
