If you're looking for an amazing wedding cake, don't go anywhere else. Gerhard Michler is the best in the city. Their cakes are truly works of art and a divine to eat. They are not overly sweet or heavy. Their flavors are refined and subtle. Our guests devoured it, and yours will too.We also asked them to do our wedding favors. Mary Michler was great to work with and incredibly flexible. We went with bag of tea cookies, which a couple of our Austrian guests said tasted exactly like back in Austria. I take that as a good sign. We'll definitely be ordering from Gerhard Michler again for future events.

We consulted with several cake places before settling with Gerhard Michler, and are so glad we did. Their cake is delicious and very reasonably priced. Mary Michler was wonderful to work it - she was always professional and was patient with all my questions. We were pleased with the cake and the design was better than I'd expected.

Ordering a wedding cake from Gerhard Michler Fine European desserts was one of the best things that happened in our wedding!! Mary is such a wonderful person and My husband and I really enjoyed our cake-tasting. She even packed the left over cakes to take home with us!! We enjoyed the cakes for the next two days :) We had a small 3 tier wedding cake with swiss dots design. They have many kinds of cakes and fillings to choose from and for each tier, you can choose a different cake and filling. We ended up getting Top tier 5'' : White cake with Fresh strawberries & Vanilla cream Middle tier 8'' Hazelnut cake with Tiramisu Bottom Tier 12'' Chocolate cake with Raspberry creamThe cake was beautiful and tasty!! Many of our guests said that they enjoyed looking and eating it! Too bad,,, the staff at my reception site did not serve the way that our guests could choose.

Mary is very helpful and really does a good presentation. Her tiramisu is delicious and her cakes are reasonably priced. However, we couldn't try the cake samples as a whole but instead she had different dessert pastries to try which wasn't the same. Other than that, she's very nice and gives good suggestions and charges you on the lower end of your guest count. We told her we would probably have around 100 guests and she gives you the cake that serves say 100-114 ppl but only charges you for 100 ppl.

We LOVED our cake from Gerhard Michler Bakery. We worked with Mary in the planning. She is SUPER friendly, helpful and extremely patient as we thumbed through books and ideas. They can do pretty much anything you'd like. Her office where you meet in the main bakery part where you see them making everything. The bakery is huge (based on my very limited bakery experience). There are many people working in the bakery and the thing that I noticed the most was that everybody was smiling and talking and friendly and seemed like they really enjoy what they do.
During the tasting, she had samples of icings, cakes and fillings and gave us 4 small cakes to take home and enjoy.
The day I brought our flowers for the cake, I met with the lady who was going to ice and decorate it. She was extremely friendly and wanted to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted.
The cake itself was beautiful and exactly what we asked for. We had 3 tiers, each with different cake, fillings and fresh berries. It was DELICIOUS!!!
We also had a creampuff tree for the Groom's Cake which stood 2 feet tall and looked amazing with chocolate covered strawberries and powdered sugar here and there...
Overall, I would give Gerhard Michler my highest recommendation. The prices are very reasonable (for the Bay Area), the cake is delicious and the service is terrific!

Absolutely delicious and stunning. I had them made a croquembouche as my wedding cake. It was a 3 ft tall tower of cream puffs. The cake definitely blew all my guests away. Not only it look stunning, the cream puffs were delicious. The were super nice to work with. One afternoon I went to met Mary, and not she gave me different puffs to taste and help decide the final look of the cake, she also gave me some other delicious cakes to take home. Because such cake is a very time consuming and very unforgiving (required gluing of 300 puffs into a tower that looks nice and last), many bakeries couldn't even do it off for me. I asked for Bouchon bakery in Yountville, and they were going to charge me MUCH more. And to be honest, I don't like their puffs as much because it was too over baked for me and sharp to eat. Gerhard Michler's were just perfect, not too sharp but not soft, creamy and looks great!

A friend of mine got married recently and had Gerhard Michler do her cake. It was absolutely delicious!
Highly recommended.

Mary and Gerhard Michler are amazing. Mary does a lovely presentation for the tasting, and put up with my numerous calls and visits while I designed and redesigned my wedding cake. I just couldn’t get confident about what I wanted because it was hard for me to visualize. She provided a test tier, then die-testing flower petals, all at no cost. It must have been a pain for her to put up with, but she handled it all with grace and patience.
Also, their cakes are the cheapest ones I found!!! They figure out the range of people the cake could feed, then charge you on the lower number. For example, we were planning on 85 guests, but our cake could feed 75-87 say, depending on how big you cut the pieces. We were charged on the 75 headcount. And the cake was amazing! We also got a small groom’s cake that is off their regular list of products – so scrumptious. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a wedding cake.

Wow, can't say enough amazing things about this wedding cake designer. Our cake tasting alone was wonderful. Easy going place, down to earth, listened to what you wanted, and gave a lot of options continuously telling you pricing as you went along. Only prob was finding parking. This was the most inexpensive place we went and ended up being the best part of our wedding! The design replicated our ocean theme with edible starfish and shells! Many people complimented it and we had fresh raspberries and chocolate in it! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE

Yes, we got the croquembouche! We're so excited because it's so different. We had a tasting with Mary Michler and she was great. Even though she knew that we wanted the croquembouche, she still gave us the cake tasting which was yummy. She even gave us the leftovers to go but unfortunately it melted in the car :(. We also went to Patiserre Delanghe on Fillmore/Bush. They are more bakery-centric so didn't offer as much customer service as we liked. Around $3.50 per person. ( 5.06)
They gave a sample croquembouche to try out. We wanted to try it out right there but we didn't have a camera so the photo is from FI's cell phone. Sorry for the blurriness but it looked great! I took a better picture of the remains when we got it home. It tasted great too! ( 07.06)
The croquembouche was a hit! Delicious and unique. Some guests thought it was a tower of garlic (??). Unfortunately, I only had the bite from the cake cutting and I should've asked for the leftovers. Eat your cake!
