Crowne Plaza San Marcos Resort

The San Marcos resort provided everything we needed to make our day amazing. The planning process was enjoyable and the coordinator listened to what we wanted. The day of the wedding we had to move the ceremony inside due to weather and they created a wonderfully intimate setting in the ballroom which was quickly turned into the reception after the ceremony. I would highly recommend this location!

The San Marcos is a beautiful venue. The ceremony space in the Fountain Courtyard is very pretty. The ballroom was well decorated and the staff was attentive.

Choosing the Crowne Plaza as my reception venue was the worst choice I could have made for my once in a lifetime day. They changed wedding coordinators twice before I had my wedding and then promised the moon and the stars only to not deliver on a single thing. We were unable to take any of our planned photos because there was another wedding booked in the very spot. We were promised we were the only wedding. They "lost" all of our wedding guest bags, so I was embarassed when I asked my guests about them. To this day we still do not ahve an answer on who toook them or where they went. We tried to pay the bill several times before the wedding and on the day, but couldn't because the wedding coordinator had left early and then didn't show up to our brunch the day after our wedding as planned. Because she hadn't received payment from us, the hotel fraudulently charged my parents credit card that was set up to take care of their hotel room instead of contacting us to discuss the bill. We obviously tried to resolve the situation but the catering manager would not return our calls after multiple attempts over multiple days. The hotel owner and manager was rude, unprofessional and made things ugly. I will never entertain the idea of doing business with any Crowne Plaza in the future, epecially the way I was handled when they knew they made many mistakes. Overall, it was a disaster and sadly now I have such a bitter taste in my mouth about my dream day.

I have to say Ashley Newcomer was amazing. She took Stacey Crisman's place as the planing cord. (Im not sure her exact title) But the transation was very smooth and between both Ashley and Jim I had the best day I could have imagined!
We had all of our out of town guests staying there as well as our wedding and reception.
They took care of every single detail and walked us through every step. Even when I thought I may have a freak out moment (nothing to do with them) they assured me that all would be ok, and they were right. The food was laid out perfectly and was over and above on quality. Tehir staff even took all of my hand made details and laid everything out for me just as I had imagined.
Ashley made everything personal and took care of not only myself and the groom but our guests requests as well.
They give you the most bang for your buck that is for sure... I would say if you are planning a wedding go and talk to them. Specially if you are on a tight budget.

I loved the setting and ability to use the grounds for our wedding photography. We had multiple people telling us how great our food was.

We were very pleased with both the venue and the services were received from the Crowne Plaza. The varied choices of reception hall and menu made things easy. We choose the stand alone lodge by the swimming pool on the east side of the main resort, and our out of town guest were very happy in the casitas around the pool. On a very tight budget, we were able to negotiate both exceptional room rates, and a menu that did not break the bank. A luncheon reception, the guests choose from three wonderfully prepared salads with chicken, and we served a rum punch along with a cash bar. The service was great, they worked closely with our DJ, florist and photographer, and the decor was exactly as we envisioned it. The staff handled the champagne toast and the cake serving with aplomb, and all went off without a hitch. The salon and spa associated with the resort (just around the corner) did a nice job on the ladies' hair, and the out of town guests enjoyed the restaurants and ambience of downtown Chandler. We could not have been happier.

I love this hotel, but wasn't too impressed with the way the new ownership is running things. We stayed here for our wedding night, and most of our out of town guests stayed here as well. They wouldn't work with us much on rates, even though a large group I am part of (Chandler Jaycees/ Junior Chamber of Commerce) had held large conventions here in the past. Would have been nice if they could of at least done something extra for us in our room.

Being able to hold the ceremony and reception at the same venue was fantastic. Plus it was a hotel where our out of town guests could stay, and where the wedding party could stay also. They also provided the food for the cocktail hour and reception as well as our wedding cake. They used Robert's Catering for the wedding cake, that we got to completely design ourselves. It was wonderful.
