i just rec'd my mantilla from candi and all i can say is WOW!

candi is very easy to work with - i dont live in SoCal and it was still very easy to communicate what i was looking for

candi gave me options for tulle and lace and out of her options, i chose illusion and alencon lace - i couldnt have chosen a more beautiful combo!

thanks to candi - i will be wearing a fantastic veil, hand stitched quality for a fraction of what the bridal salons are charging!

do not buy your veil from anyone else!

Candi is awesome! I went in not really knowing what I wanted and she had me try on all sorts of her samples. She's great, professional, and funny. She was very patient with me and my parents. Her prices and attention is hard to beat. I highly recommend Candi's studio when looking to buy a veil. Its custom made for you and incredibly priced!

Candi is awesome. I received my veil and tried it on, and it was exactly what I was looking for - single tier, white diamond, extra pouf, cathedral. I was really concerned about buying a veil that was simple enough for my busy dress. I emailed Candi my dress, with samples of veils that I liked. She was so helpful in helping choose a style. My veil is perfect and it did not cost an arm and a leg (under $60 with shipping costs). I cannot recommend her enough.

When I first met with her, I was very unsure of what type of veil to get. She let me try on different sample veils that she had and really explained the differences between the cuts and lengths. She provided PROs and CONs to the various veils. She was very patient and understanding throughout the whole process.

I picked up my veil last Saturday and I couldn't be more pleased - It's exactly what I had imagined! It was beautiful, perfectly steamed/pressed, and ready to wear.

8/21/08 Edit: I just wanted to upgrade my review for Candi's work. I originally had four stars because I was worried that the lace separating would show up in photos. Now that I've seen the photos, you can't even tell! The veil was beautiful.

Candi Merle created a hybrid veil that I thought up. I wanted a Mantilla but I also wanted a blusher. Her final custom product was gorgeous. She shipped it to me because I lived out of state and she packed it up so that when I opened it, the wrinkles would fall out perfectly!

I loved the veil so much on my wedding day. The only thing that I didn't notice but my sister MOH did was that the lace was separating during photos before the reception. I didn't notice it and hope that it didn't show in pictures.

Other than that, it was a great product for the price, turn around and service!

candi is awesome!! i ordered a chapel length cut edge veil from her and it turned out so beautiful! its exactly what i wanted and i didn't have to break the bank to get it either. her prices are so reasonable! its really easy to do business with her as well. she is out of california and i am in arkansas, so we just stayed in touch via email. it took less than two weeks for the veil to be delivered from the time i ordered it. i highly recommend her work!

I live in NJ, and communicated with Candi over email only. I was very unsure of what type of veil I should get for my dress, and I couldn't find a bridal shop veil that I liked that was under $200. I sent pictures of my dress to Candi, as well as other information about my wedding, and she recommended a beautiful veil for me. I just got my veil today (cathedral length, ivory, pencil edge, mantilla cut), and it's perfect. She was very quick to get back to me, extremely helpful, and her work is of a really high quality. Even if you live 2500 miles away like I do, she is totally worth looking into.

I love my Veil!!!! It is beyond exquisite. I always put it on when my the FI is not home ( i was actually wearing it last night, lol). I wanted a two tier fingertip length lace edge veil. It looks like a drop veil when you put it on and it was perfect in every way. I am in Northern California and communicated with Candi strictly through email. She was very prompt with responses and requests for additional information.

After i told her what I wanted, she sent veil illusions so that i can match the tulle color with my dress color perfectly (since my dress is this weird off-white/light ivory color). Then she sent pictures of the types of lace available, I picked on and in about 10 days I have my new veil. It is my favorite detail about the wedding to date (aside from my gorgeous FI and dress of course)

Do not hesitate. I've done searches for veils of this style and lace quality and the veils I found were easily 3-4 times what Candi charged. If i didnt find her, I don't think i could have afforded my dream veil. Happy planning!

Candi was AMAZING! She was incredibly sweet and helped me out so much in picking out a veil. I live out of the area so I sent her pictures of my dress and she made some suggestions based on the style of dress. The veils turned out BEAUTIFUL- I chose a fingertip length with a chapel length underneath. She was super quick in turn-a- round time as well. I would highly recommend her- her prices are fantastic and she is SO great to work with!

I purchased a fingertip mantilla style veil with crystal edging. She was easy to work with and very fast! I thought I was going to get a sewn beaded edge but got a glued edge, but I did not clarify that to her when I ordered it. I had a mishap with the edging with the desert heat - glue stuck to itself during shipping and tore the edge of the veil (very small, almost unnoticable). Candi send me extra beads so I could fix it. I did not like the way the beads were glued on to the top where the comb was. Otherwise, she was great to work with and you can't beat her prices.

Candi is such a joy to work with. She's extremely talented in all things veils and has become a bit of an institution with the OC brides here at The Knot. She's extremely prompt with her emails/phone calls and is such a riot! She's really candid and funny and loves what she does. To insure quality at a good price, Candi cuts out the middle man and doesn't invest in flashy websites and the like. She makes gorgeous veils at a fraction of the cost.

I was so pleased with the veil she made for me, that I can't believe it only cost under $35! Thank you for thinking for the thrifty, yet fashionable bride, Candi!

Candi made me a gorgeous veil for MUCH less than the one I saw in the bridal salon. The veil I fell in love with in the salon was over $200. Candi made a replica for $35! She is the nicest lady and was a joy to work with. I HIGHLY recommend her to all brides.

Candi was PHENOMENAL!!! She has an amazingly friendly and spunky personality and will go out of her way to help make you the perfect veil! She was very patient in helping me try on many veils and helping weigh the pros and cons of different lengths, cuts, etc. Her price was also extremely reasonable and the quality of her work was great! My veil was about 75% less than what it would've cost elsewhere!

Definitely lives up to the hype! I got a simple veil from Candi. It was so great to go to her house and try on different styles. She is so nice and easy to talk to. The veil she sent got lost in the mail (through no fault on her part). She was so accommodating and apologetic. She sent a replacement right away and communicated everything very well. She made what was a stressful situation (it was a week before my wedding) so smooth based on her professionalism. My veil was perfect and very affordable.

Candi is amazing to work with...She is fun, and knows her veils! I was not sure what I wanted, but I knew I wanted simple. She tried on different veils, until we found the one. It was so easy...what color, what style, how long, what trim...bam! Here is your total, she needed a deposit, and then 4 days later...I got a call saying it was ready! Are you kidding me! I picked it up, and it was exactly what I wanted, and the price cannot be beat!

Candi is so awesome! She squeezed me in last minute and was so nice about it all. She did a custom veil for me in 4 days. She had me try on all different kinds of veils just so I was comfortable with "The One". I recommend Candi to all brides who want to feel special and have a beautiful custom veil made. The quality of the veil is so Supreme, the tulle she uses is so soft and not stiff at all like store bought ones.

Candi Merle made me a diamond white cathedral-length pencil-edge veil in TWO DAYS for $55. She rocks. Totally recommended.

she let me prance about in her home studio, in my dress, as i tried on her various sample veils. it was a very useful exercise in order to decide on the best combo of tulle color, cut, edging, and embellishments for a veil that would suit me, my dress, and our event. candi is fast, produces veils of great quality at a reasonable price, and is such a warm person to boot. while picking up my very basic drop veil, she showed me an in-progress, intricate veil with lace and beading to match a bride's gown. the contrast of the two next to each other spoke volumes about the range of what she can craft.

Candi is an amazing person and super fun to work with. Her veils are gorgeous and I couldn't have found anything better at any bridal store, especially for the price. The veil I loved at the bridal boutique was just under $400 but Candi made a similar one but even added beading on the lace to match my dress for $55. I would also recommend bringing in your gown if you have it because Candi is very creative and can help you decide on a design that will compliment your dress. I can't wait until October so I can show off my unique veil to everyone!

I ordered a simple drop veil with silver edging and ceremonial veil with lace from Candi. She is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! I think I got my order in less than 2 weeks. I went to her home to try on veils and ordered on the spot. She is very easy to work with, knows what she is doing, honest and sweet.

I cannot recommend her enough.

I know she's not an LA vendor but if you're in the area, she's definitely worth checking out. Candi made my single layer, cascade cut, diamond white, 65" long veil with a thin ribbon edge for $39.50 and it was done in 4 days! She has done several OC brides. I highly recommend her!

Candi is the veil making queen. She is famous on the OC boards. She is the nicest and sweetest lady. She made my fingertip veil in a week for such a great price. She will even ship the veil for you if you don’t have time to pick it up. I had originally had a slightly longer veil made for me. When I received and tried it on, I felt it was too long for me. Candi wanted to make sure I was happy with it and made a shorter veil for me free of charge.

Candi was great at my sister's wedding. She did a wonderful job.

Candi is professional and makes the most beautiful veils at incredibly low prices. I ordered two veils from her and the whole experience was just wonderful. She let me try on several of her samples to make sure I choose a veil that I will love.

Candi is the nicest, sweetest lady who has great ideas and does great work! Upon seeing my dress she instantly had a feel for the veil I should wear. She let me try on almost every single sample veil she had in her room (some of them I tried twice!), but in the end she was dead on w/her initial vision. I had a 58" single-tier, cut (plain) edge, ivory veil that's less full with rounded edges. When she told me the price, I stared at her like an idiot, waiting for the punchline.

Candi is as energetic and as kind as they come. She has a great assortment of sample veils for you to try on and she lets you take as long as you like to make your decision. I never felt pressured at all. Her prices are really unbeatable for the quality of the work she gives you. I ordered a standard cathedral length veil in ivory with pencil trim (I think it was called) and I loved it so much. I loved, loved, loved my veil. I've already recommended her to a couple of my friends getting married and they have all had great experiences with her as well.

I contacted Candi to make a veil as a wedding gift for my cousin. Candi had been highly recommended by several of my friends. My cousin was looking for a two-tier fingertip length veil that had a crystal beading and embroidery. I sent Candi photos of my cousin's dress and veils she had been looking at. Candi was very patient and quick with her correspondence. Candi sent several photos for me and my cousin to view to help her refine the veil she wanted. I cannot say enough about the level of service she provides. We must have sent 20 emails back and forth.

After sending payment, the veil was made very quickly. It was done in a little over a week. When it arrived, we were both stunned by how gorgeous it was. It matched her dress perfectly. The quality is outstanding. Similar veils were triple the price I paid. I cannot recommend Candi enough. My only regret is that I didn't use her when I was planning my wedding 2.5 years ago.

I ordered a custom mantilla veil from Candi all via e-mail. I live in Los Angeles but did not have time to head out to Brea to see her so we emailed back and forth about the choices I had. It was so easy. I chose the width,length,color and edging myself. I received it 2 days ago and it is beautiful. I can't wait to wear it. Her prices are amazing and she did an amazing job. Candi made me the most beautiful mantilla veil for around $40. I sent her photos of a similiar ($200!!!) veil & she made me one even prettier. I got so many compliments on the lovely veil she created for me. She is a sweetheart!

Candi did such a great job. I went to her house we figured out what I wanted and what looked good with the dress. I went home and thought about it and wasn't sure if that what I wanted. Scattered pearls and crystals through out the legnth of the veil. She emailed me before she made the veil to make sure and we discussed my fears of haveing a pearl or crystal right in front of my eye. We decided to go a different way, just have them scattered on the bottom 2 inchs. She was apsolutly acomidating and had the sweetest personality. I recomand her whoel heartitly!

She made a 2 tiered Crytal pencil edged Cathedral length veil for me. The veil was done within a week. Super fast service. She is such a sweet lady. If you need a custom made veil, she is your lady!

Candi Merle has to be one of the best vendors I've dealt with throughout this whole wedding planning process. I went back and forth on veil styles and couldn't decide what I wanted...she offered several options and I ended up choosing one I found on the internet. I made my purchase and the veil was mailed to me within a 2 weeks. Her packaging couldn't be more perfect, as I rolled it out and all the wrinkles fell out. She's very quick to answer emails and is extremely patient.

Candi is such a sweet person, she had my veil done so fast. It is so beautiful and I just couldn't imagine spending over 200 bucks for a piece of tulle at a bridal salon! mine was about $55 for an ivory, single tier, fingertip length veil. I added on a few more inches though then the standard fingertip length and had her widen the sides a bit more for the cascading look. Also, she put small and medium crystals...it came out so pretty!

I absolutely adore Candi! I just picked up my veil today from her, and it's absolutely gorgeous! Before you buy an expensive veil at a Bridal Salon, take a trip to see Candi. She is a super talented lady (and a sense of humor to boot) that can probably make your dream veil for a fraction of the cost. Like most wedding vendors, if you have a picture of a veil you like (whether it's the back or front or how it falls on someone) bring it with you.

One of the many benefits of working with Candi is you get a custom veil made specifically for you-- so if you want it to fall a certain way around your face or down the back of your dress, she can cut the veil to do just that. If you are looking to have your communion veil incorporated into your wedding veil, Candi can do this too. When I picked up my veils, she was finishing another stunning veil for a bride who was using the fabric from her mother's veil that had been improperly stored (meaning it had holes) and Candi managed to make the veil look brand-spanking new.

Just go see her, and you'll see why we all love her. She rocks the veil world!

Candi did a FANTASTIC job on my blusher that I wore with my Pronovias Chapel Length Mantilla. Its exactly what I was looking for-- so much better than what the bridal salon offered and so much cheaper too! Plus she is the nicest lady ever!! I love her and am so happy with her work!!

I never got to meet her in person, but she was great to work with. i sent her details on what i wanted for my veil and she was quick in responding to e-mails. She sent swatches of the colors so i could pick the right one. She kept me posted on the status and the veil turned out great.

I just received my veil and it's gorgeous! I can't wait to wear it! Candi is so fun and she has amazing prices. She will even mail you the veil if you don't live in her area (Brea). I ordered it and in a week and a half I received it in the mail. She is very talented and uses illusion (not tulle) for a very soft and flowing veil. I highly recommend her!

Candi offers very competitive pricing for bridal veils which was a plus when everything wedding cost an arm & a leg. She's quite responsive to my e-mails and did my veil under 5 days (for a rush fee of course) since it took me a while to figure out what I wanted. On the pick-up day I couldn't meet the time we had agreed on so I left a message with someone at her house to see if I could come by another time that would work for both of us. I'm not sure if the message got to her correctly but she was rude when she called back. But Candi was quite nice in person and she made the most perfect veil for me.

I had been searching everywhere for a lace trim Mantilla. I met with Candy for a consult and designed my veil that same day! She made me a gorgeous custome Mantilla for under $50! She is such a sweet and funny person. All the more pleasure doing business with her!

Candi is the sweetest lady, she was a pleasure to work with. I hate leaving her only 3 stars, but I have to. She made me a beautiful veil at a reasonable price. I loved the way the veil looked. The reason why I'm not completely satisfied is because the veil separated from the comb during my wedding. I wanted to wear the veil all night and had the hair dresser pin it into my updo. However, soon after the reception started, the veil fell off. The veil and some loose threads just fell to the ground. The plastic comb was still in my hair, part of it visible, and I heard it looked pretty bad. It was very difficult to remove without risking ruining my entire updo. Luckily my cousin saved the day and removed the comb without completely ruining my hair. This happened right at the beginning of the reception (before all kinds of activities like the first dance, cake, bouquet toss). The veil mal-function added a bit of unnecessary stress to my day. Good thing it lasted through the ceremony!

Candi truly is divine intervention. She provided her wisdom and passion to make me a perfect veil to match my dress and the style of our wedding. The veil she created was absolutely gorgeous and sooooooooooo affordable. On top of this, she was so nice and truly loves helping brides create their perfect day!

I just picked up my veil from Candi last weekend. I recommend her 100%. I think I was more excited about my veil then I was about my dress! Her work is beautiful and her prices can't be beat. Most of all she genuinely loves helping out brides and cares about what you want. When I first met with her, I had no idea what I wanted. She let me try on several samples and I was able to pick and choose everything! My veil couldn't be any more perfect! I can't wait until I can wear it!

Candi is fantastic. Over e-mail, she came up with a quote for the VERY detailed cathedral veil I wanted. She is willing to work with you on designing something completely unique, even down to using motifs/appliques from other fabric you might have! Plus, her veil cost less than HALF of the rest I've seen!
