I went to 5 different salons, and all of the salons told me that my hair could not hold a curl for any amount of time, because I have extremely thin hair that is down to the middle of my back. When I finally went to Lisa at Crowning Glory, she spent a lot of time teasing my hair, and using natural products that were GOOD for my hair, and she made my hair beautifully curly, and it held all day until 3 in the morning. So others saying no possibility of curling, to Lisa keeping my hair perfect from 9am until 3 am, is astounding. The price was great, and it wasn't like other salons. She spent time talking to me, and making sure everything was going ok, it made the time fly! She also made sure that I approved of how my hair looked every step of the way, instead of spending time getting the whole style finished and then asking how it looks, which made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend this salon, Crowning Glory, to any bride that is looking to have the perfect hair on her perfect day!
My little sister also had her hair done by Lisa. Her scalp is very sensitive, like to the point to where if you brush her hair to hard it brings her to tears. Lisa's expertise used products that helped with styling Emily's hair in a way that was pain free for her. Even washing it out and brushing it the next day was easy and painless. That is a feat all in itself!
I got married in October of 2008 and Lisa was my stylist. I was really happy with the way my hair came out, she did an amazing job. I never wear my hair up, but my husband mentioned he wanted to see me with an "up-do". Even though I wasn't quite sure about it Lisa worked with me and styled my hair during our trial run until it came out just right. She took pictures and notes and made sure it came out the exact same way on the wedding day- two days later. (This was a destination wedding, so she was able to schedule me in for a trial run and get an assistant for the wedding day all within short notice, for which I'm really greatful for!)
She is very professional and helpful, I highly recommend her. Lisa and her assistant arrived on time and fully prepared. They styled my, my mother-in-law's hair, and my seven bridesmaids... and they did a fabulous job. Looking back at all the photos I'm really pleased, everyone looks great!

I have been a client of Lisa Schultz even before she opened Crowning Glory Salon in Costa Mesa, CA. which has been in business now over 10years. She is an amazing stylist and is very knowledgeable about hair and color! I would know! I have witnessed many brides come into her salon and actually observe Lisa's ART with Hair and her very happy Brides! She has a very warm and inviting salon which is Trendy and Hip, with a touch of Victorian Romance about her and her Salon! You always feel welcome and look forward to a day back with Lisa. It is not uncommon to see her clients stopping by just to say a quick "Hello". As a florist and with a past history of being involved in the Bridal Salon industry I have seen many Brides and Many Sylist. I have picked out and purchased a headpiece/veil and it's not ready, should I come to my preview appointment anyway?
If your wedding is less than four weeks away, borrow one from the source where you purchased your veil. If this isn't possible, let us know and we can provide a makeshift veil.
Are there any considerations in the hairstyle if the tulle on my headpiece is detachable?
Absolutely, we'll build a style that accommodates removal of the tulle before/after pictures or during/after the reception for your comfort and convenience.
I have some hairstyles in mind, will you be able to accommodate my request?
Should you decide you want your hair up, down, or half-up and half-down, we'll go to great measures to change your dreams into reality. Feel welcome to bring any and all communication tools (i.e. photos, magazine clips etc.), to help us better relate to the look of your dreams.
Can I successfully wear fresh flowers in my hair?
Indeed you can! We'll work with our florist, or be happy to work with yours, to make it all happen just the way you want.
Do I need to provide my own beads, decorative hairpins or ornaments for myself or party members?
Not necessarily, we have access to custom hairpiece and headpiece makers. You may like the headpieces at www.erincole.com
I am considering a hairpiece possibly for length or thickness how will I know if I really need to use one?
Bring your hairpiece to your preview consultation. It is also the ideal time to address any changes in regard to the hairpiece's texture, color or thickness.

How long before my ceremony do I need to book an appointment?
Your preview appointment should be scheduled 3-4 months in advance of your wedding. This gives your hair time to grow, be colored, extended, etc. and gives your skin time to heal, or tan etc. in time for the ceremony.
