Culinary Excellence Catering

We had Culinary Excellence cater our wedding reception recently, and we absolutely loved working with them every step of the way. They were always very helpful and easy to talk to, and really helped make our reception a success. We did not have a wedding coordinator, but CE worked directly with our other vendors to make sure everything went off smoothly. Of course, a caterer is nothing without good food, and theirs is spectacular. They're also very flexible, and helped us add plenty of personal touches to make the day even more special. They may not be the cheapest caterers in town, but we definitely got more than we paid for. We miss them already!

How many times do you hear people rave over the food at a wedding reception? Or the cake? We had Culinary Excellence cater our wedding and I think I heard as much about the food as I did about my dress!! The quality is WAY up there - both salmon and tri-tip were top of the line crowd pleasers. The side dishes are treated with the same care and concern for quality as the main course and the appetizers - oh!!! When we tasted them, my husband commented "is this really for US?!!" And yes, wedding cake can be delicious!Chris and Katherine are both wonderful to work with. We planned our wedding from three time zones away and they bent over backwards to fit in a tasting when we were in town (around the busy December holidays, no less!) and to coordinate phone confrences to handle details. The staff on site for our reception were the epitome of professionalism and a pleasure to deal with.Best of all, these are simply good, honest, fair people to deal with. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Culinary Excellence catered our wedding at the Bently Reserve. The service was absolutely tremendous and the food incredible. Chris and Katherine worked very closely with my family on every detail of the wedding and were exceptionally kind and helpful. On our wedding day, they made us feel extremely well taken care of - everything just unfolded seamlessly. The food was tremendous - absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent - our 200+ guests all commented on the timely and organized service. I recommend them without any reservations, they are wonderful!

Our wedding cake was superb. Chris Hardy is a genius as well as a first rate baker. People are still raving about the cake to us. We wanted something different looking and not the standard typical cake and Chris stepped up to the plate. People just could not get over the look of the cake and how spectacular it was. Not only did it look amazing, it tasted amazing. It was fresh, moist and tasty. Not like some wedding cakes that I have had that were dry and uninspired. This was just fantastic. While we did not use their other services this time, we would not hesitate to do so. We have heard nothing but compliments.

Culinary Excellence provided excellent service. The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. The reception room was absolutley beautiful and decorated exactly as I requested. Many of my guests have since told me it was the nicest wedding they every attended. Catherine responded to all my phone calls promptly and oversaw the rehearsal and wedding day so that everything went smoothly. Culinary Excellence was the epitome of professionalism, Catherine and Christian are not only great at what they do, but are also the nicest people you would ever want to meet.The entire event was so elegant and impressive. One of my guests went to another wedding in Carmel at Pebble Beach the very next day and she said mine was far more beautiful and memorable and I'm sure theirs cost 3 times as much. With Culinary Excellence you get far more "bang for the buck". Catherine made planning the wedding easy due to her flexibilty in meeting me around my work schedule. The entire experience was more "fun" than "stressful"!

When we found Chris and Catherine at Culinary Excellence we were a little dismayed to say the least with the wedding planning business. We did not have a good experience with our first venue and left losing a deposit. Chris and Catherine renewed our faith and brought back the joy and excitment. That was only the beginning! They worked with us very closely and showed us what true professionals are really like. From start to finish they are like family in every sense of the word. You are treated as if you are their only clients. Now for the really good stuff, THE FOOD!!! WOW!!! It was the best food we have ever eaten at a wedding!!! Our guests were so incredibly happy. All night long they were commenting about the wonderful food and service they were being given. There was never an empty hand or empty glass. The cake was also wonderful and beautiful, exactly what our daughter wanted. Chris and Catherine are very visible thoughout the evening and go around to each table making sure everyone has what they need. The staff is awesome as well. I only wish we would have found them alot sooner. We could have saved ourselves alot of heartache. We would have given them the budget and just let them go! Their attention to detail is incredible! You cant go wrong with Culinary Excellence!!! They are truly one of the best in the business!!!

I could not possibly say enough good things about Culinary Excellence! Without hesitation, I would recommend them to anyone who needs a caterer. We used Culinary Excellence for our wedding at the Dunsmuir Estate. Chris not only did the catering, but also did the cake, the flowers, the chair covers, and took care of all the linen and assorted rentals.

Chris is fantastic to work with – he does not get stressed, he is on top of the details and he always gets back to you in a timely manner. Chris was also a great resource for bouncing ideas off of. Chris also takes so much of the stress off of the bride and groom on the wedding day. We were planning on having an outdoor ceremony, but it rained the day of the wedding. Chris told us not to worry about a thing, he would take care of all the last minute changes (we had to move it inside) and he allowed us to enjoy the day with our friends and family.

The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, the flowers were exquisite, and people are still talking about how beautiful and tasty the cake was. Culinary Excellence exceeded all of my very high expectations and all at very reasonable price.

They were wonderful! Any questions I had at the last minute, or little details (like table numbers and holders, extra table for the DJ, returning flower stands to the florist,) were instantly taken care of. I had absolute trust in them and they came through all the way. They are professional and very friendly. The food was great to. We spent about $10,000 for a seated dinner of 100 people and that included all our table, chair, and linen rentals and the cake too. the service during the wedding was great, all the staff were very prompt and friendly. I can't say enough good things about them, they made they day go by so smoothly and helped me feel at ease all throughout the planning. They have a lot of options ofr entrees and were helpful with accomodating vegetarians and vegans. They also gave us a great tasting before we booked with them.
