Cupcake Cafe

I have sampled the bakery's cupcakes in the past, so I imediately thought of them for the big day. At first, I wanted to do a cupcake tree, but ended up deciding on a regular cake because I wanted to do the ceremonial cake cutting. I met with Ivan, who was delightful. He offered my groom and I samples of the different cupcakes to try. They seemed to be geared for larger weddings, but were gracious even when learning we were only planning for 20 people. He even boxed up the rest of the samples to take home with us, which was very thoughtful. There was a little trouble with the delivery person finding the restaurant on the big day (but even I get confused below Union Sq) so the cake was a wee bit late in arriving, but looked beautiful and tasted great!

The cake was decorated with beautiful flowers. Our guests loved the lemon cake with raspberry filling!

The best cake we could ever imagine! Not exactly a wedding cake place, so sometimes the customer service lacked a bit, but again, the cakes they make are so delicious that any hassles were well worth it.

Though Cupcake Cafe has the option of the traditional wedding cake, we chose the tier cupcake instead. They were very good in terms of recommending different flavors, and also giving us everything to taste test.

Totally great. We did cupcakes and a small round cake to cut.
