Going to Curvy Girls was the easiest and best decisions I've made since becoming engaged!

The store is impressive! I was given a tour of the store before even looking at dresses which was something I wasn't expecting! I loved the waiting room for men - great touch!

We walked to the back and pulled out a few dresses. After I tried on 2 dresses, Kim suddenly brought out the one. The dress was exactly what I wanted for my special day. Also, I caught the dress on clearance! Ruth came to the room and introduced herself. CGB does not pressure you to buy and truly work with you to find the one. I was able to say YES to the dress! Go to CGB, you will not be disappointed

6 months ago I absolutely would have given this place a 5/5. After my fittings...not so much.
When I first went here, Ruth and the girls were so wonderful and helpful. I got the first dress I tried on and absolutely adored it. They were really helpful and responsive, and I got a great price for my dress.
When I went back for my fittings I was not as impressed. I don't know if they've gotten more popular now and so Ruth and the usual girls aren't there, but when I went in the girl at the front desk was REALLY rude. I also did not love the fitting room because it was really dark.

As a full figured bride, I was extremely nervous about trying on dresses and being told that one looks great on me when in reality, I looked liked a stuffed sausage trying to get out of its casing, lol. I was about to go to another bridal shop that caters to full figured brides, despite the lowest costing dress being about $1500 (way over my budget) and then by the grace of God, I found Curvy Girls. I went there on a Monday, during the day, and the experience was a millions times better than I imagined. I only tried on 4 dresses until I found the one and despite it so not being a dress I would have picked out myself, it was perfect for me. It was great that my consultants were the owners during my appointment and that made the whole experience even more impressive.

My next concern was getting something added to the dress to cover my upper arms. Valerie (the alterations Queen) was a wonder to work with. She took the pics I showed her and the ideas I had and made it work. The bolero turned out great, didn't make me look matronly (which was what I was afraid of) and it looked like the dress came with the bolero already. All my wedding guests but most importantly my husband loved the dress on me and the pics turned out great.

Even if you're not a plus size bride, I would definitely go to them just to get the experience that all women should have when shopping for a...

CurvyGirls Bridal was the first place I went to when I start dress shopping. It was fantastic from the moment you step in the shop you feel "special." They really make you feel like they are there for you! I was really nervous to start shoppinig for a wedding dress especially since I'm a bigger girl...size 18/20. Anytime I stepped foot into a smaller bridal boutique I felt so out of place and knowing the sample sizes are only 6/8 I didn't even want to put myself through that pain. Curvy Bridal has lots of sample dresses in bigger sizes that make you can try. They helped me narrow down some styles that look best on me. My mom and Maid of Honor came with me and they loved the shop as well. I really like several dresses that I was thinking about buying, but in the end I ended up going somewhere else that had the dress I like, but their customer service was not anywhere close to Curvy Girls Bridal. I would highly suggest everyone going to this bridal shop, they truly make you feel special and help you through the process of getting a wedding dress!

Curvy Girls was wonderful! All their consultants and seamstress were very helpful. I only have one complaint, if you are going to market your boutique as one that caters to us larger ladies... THEN DONT CHARGE EXTRA FOR A GIRL WHO IS OVER A SIZE 16!!! It makes no sense! Otherwise, I would reccomend to anyone!

Curvy Girl Bridal is a no brainer – all curvy girls (and non curvy girls!) need to go there and purchase their dress. The boutique is just that -a beautiful boutique. I am a size 18/20 and dreaded dress shopping because most sample sizes are a bridal size 8/10 which is actually a street size 4/6. Curvy Girl was actually the fourth store I tried and the minute I walked in I knew that my dress was waiting for me. Kim was my consultant and Val, the seamstress, also helped with the appointment. I described my ceremony and reception venues as Kim gave me a tour of the boutique and she began pulling out dresses.

I am so glad I trusted her. I fell more and more in love with each dress until I put on THE ONE (Denver by LA Sposa), she was and still is the most amazing dress every. She is also a dress that I would have never dreamed of wearing unless I was able to see her in the store. I never thought that I would have the opportunity to wear much less try on a couture gown. I was never pressured to make a decision and when I did they lovely ladies poured me a glass of champagne and indulged me as I would walked around the fitting area while staring at myself in the mirror a dozen times or so. The fitting rooms are spacious and they provided a robe in each dressing room I was also assisted into and out of each dress I would recommend Curvy Girl Bridal to every bride, full figured or not.

The staff at Curvy Girls was great - they let me try on as many gowns as I needed and didn't even mention that I was going over the scheduled meeting time. I bought my first gown on Saturday and when I called Monday in tears because I bought a dress I didn't love, they let me come in that day and change my mind without any problem.

Alterations were done quickly and professionally.

Curvy Girls Bridal is the best Bridal Shop around. They came through for me in a time of need. I just wish I had known about them sooner. I had a bad experience with Davids Bridal and went to Curvy Girls Bridal to get a new wedding dress just months before our wedding. Ruth and Kim spent a lot of time helping me to select my perfect dress. They made me feel like I was special and I knew we had found the right place to get my wedding dress. As Always alterations had to be done, lucky for me they do alterations in house. I was able to set up an appointment with the seamstress and get the alterations done before my wedding which was one thing I was concerned with having only 2 months till the wedding. I went in for the final fitting the Monday before our wedding and was able to pick the dress up that Thursday. It was already steamed, and came in a wonderful garment bag. Curvy Girls was very professional and friendly. For the guys or while you wait they have what they call "The Man Cave" with couches and a TV. We just loved them.

I loved Curvy Girls Bridal from the moment I first walked in. It's a beautiful salon with a very nice but not overwhelming selection of dresses. Bob, Kim, and Ruth really made me feel welcome. Mimi was wonderful and helped me into all the dresses I tried on. I had their full attention and less than 3 hours later I found my dress. There was absolutely no pressure to buy. I also got an exorbitantly expensive headpiece but it was my fault for not checking the price before I signed the contract. I was one happy bride ready to go home and write all 5 star reviews. The dress needed minor alterations but there was plenty of time to do them. I paid for pricey alterations in the salon because I didn't want to take my chances with a wedding dress somewhere where people might not know what they're doing.

My first alterations appointment came and they called me to cancel because they were too busy. Valerie, the alterations manager promised to call me back in 1-2 weeks. 4 weeks later I called her. I went for a fitting and the dress didn't fit. It was still too large in the bust area (as it was from day 1) and she cut the straps too much so the dress was hanging around my neck. I was promised it was going to be fixed. I came for the second appointment when I was supposed to pick up the dress, and NOTHING was done to it, although I was told it was ready to go. In addition, the alterations person tried to convince me that the dress HAD TO hang around my neck and that nothing could be done about the fact that it was too large on top.

It was time to get Kim and Ruth involved. They were really nice and professional, and tried to remedy the situation. At least they actually saw that the dress did not fit properly. 3 trips to the salon later in the last two weeks before the wedding, I picked up the dress. It fit better but still not exactly right.

I also brought in the headpiece but they couldn't figure out how to make it stay on properly. They said my hairstylist would know. In the end, my dress never fit properly. Nobbody could figure out what to do with the headpiece, including my MUA, my photographer, my bridal party and 2 hairstylists. I just had to leave it behind.

At the end of the day, I still think they're great people and have a nice selection of dresses at reasonable prices. But that doesn't change the fact that I had to give up my headpiece on my wedding day because nobody could make it fit properly. It also doesn't change the hassle I had 2 weeks before my wedding, which is a really very crazy time. And it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth because I had a dress I loved, but that didn't fit well on my wedding day.

Loved this place! I did NOT want to shop for dresses because I just knew there was no place in the world that would have dresses for plus size girls that did not look like muu-muu's. I was so wrong. My maid of honor made me go upon the recommendation from a friend. Brand new shop. friendly, solicitous, and they made me feel like a princess! I was shocked how easy it was ...never set foot in another shop...tried on about 15 gowns and made my decision on the same day!

My sister purchased her gown from CurvyGirls. When we originally drove down from Baltimore we weren't sure what to expect. We'd seen photos of the construction of the salon on facebook and we were hoping that it was everything it appeared to be.

The store is beautiful. They have things organized very well, they even have a "man cave" with a television always on ESPN and snacks. The ladies on staff are all extremely nice and you really feel like part of the family when you're shopping there.

The selection is pretty good as well and the prices are reasonable for plus size dresses. And let me just say that the fact more salons are popping up that have size 18 and 20 sample sizes is the most amazing thing ever. Every single dress zipped up and then had to be clothes-pinned tighter on my sister. It was nice compared to other stores where you're squeezing your size 16 thighs into a size 8 sample.

As a plus size bride, I will readily admit that I spent time crying in the parking lot outside a different bridal salon. My consultant, April, was wonderful. She listened to what I was looking for, and then encouraged me to try on a few dresses outside of my ideal. I found two dresses that I looked incredible in. I selected a chiffon gown by Allure, paid for a rush delivery, and waited. It was 2 weeks late, which had me in a panic as I needed serious alterations done. It was difficult to reach April, and everyone wanted to take a message instead of helping me find my dress! The dress came finally came in and I was promised that everything would be fine. The seamstress was brilliant and designed the cap sleeves I wanted to add on. I was told the dress would be ready in a week. Two days later I got a call, she needed more time for a specific blade for her sewing machine. I came in, and the dress did not have a single stitch added. The sleeves were pinned and the train was chopped off, but nothing else had been done. I was assured the dress would be ready in a couple hours. It wasn't. The seamstress was so highly booked by brides picking up their dresses, she didn't have a chance to touch mine yet. We waited another hour. Still not ready, the steamer wasn't working properly. Finally, it was done. My mother insisted I try it on before we left. Thank goodness we did-- the hem was dramatically uneven in one spot. The seamstress took care of it with a smile-- she was truly very gracious and determined to make sure I loved my dress. We finally got it right, but I was totally emotionally exhausted. I recommend this salon because they truly have the best selection of dresses in every size imaginable. But don't tell them your real wedding date! My dress was ready two days before my wedding!!!!

If you have had any trouble with other salons in the area, you need to try CurvyGirls! They mean it when they say they are for women of all sizes- my best friend got married last month, and we were able to find her dress, my maid of honor dress, and the bridesmaids dresses. We all have VERY different body types. The customer serivice was also amzing- the girls who work there help you put on dresses, and work very hard to help any way they can. The owners\' Ruth and Kim were so honest about each opinion of the friends\' dresses. They even gave us champagne to celebrate finding the perfect dress! It was an all-around excellent experience, and I would definitely recommend them to any future bride.

I went to CurvyGirls before they even opened. Ruth and Kim, the store owners, were very sweet and helpful. They were willing to open their own home to me, and let me make an appointment around my own schedule. I was worried I wouldn\'t have enough options meeting with them before the store was officially opened. I was pleasantly suprised. They made me feel very welcome, and we tried a ton of dresses till we found the perfect one for my body type. Unlike the nine other stores I tried before CurvyGirls, the dresses I tried on actually fit me. I could see what the dress fit like on me without having to imagine it. I ended up finding my dream dress, and had my dream wedding. Without CurvyGirls, I would have had to settle for something less than perfect- no one wants to do that on their wedding day! I highly recommend their salon for the customer service and beautiful dresses.

Being a full-figured woman, I had a difficult time finding dresses that fit me and were still stylish. Everything at other stores was outdated and unnattractive, or made for a stick figure. CurvyGirls was the exception. Definitely worth your time.

CurvyGirls is an excellent resource for brides shopping for wedding gowns and want to have a pleasant experience. The staff at CurvyGirls is topnotch in their industry.

CurvyGirls Bridal is ALL ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE!!! The Shop itself is Classy and Sassy! It's modern, it's unique, and their staff is absolutely fantastic!! From the moment you enter, you are in another world. You and your family are ALL kept comfortable (thanks to the Man Cave and the Kids Room) and they have everything it takes to help you find the perfect dress with as little stress as possible!! Ruth & her Team are some of the best in the business I have EVER MET and they come very highly recommended!!
