Cut Arts - Karl Johnson Silhouette Artist

Karl was the hit of the wedding! Our guests loved him and were amazed by his talent. We ended up needing him beyond the contracted time and he was very generous about staying a little extra. A very reasonable price for how happy he made our guests. I would absolutely refer him to friends and strangers. I have actually already referred him to a friend. He is very professional and punctual and well-dressed :)

Karl and his incredible silhouette artistry was a highlight of my wedding. The silhouettes served as both entertainment and as a favor. It is a wonder watching Karl zip through these intricate keepsakes. My guests literally lined up to get their cut outs done and to this day (almost a year after our wedding) I still get notes from people who have framed and hung their silhouettes in their house! I swear, each and every person had one done. Even the men!!

The great part is *I* have a copy of each silhouette too. (Karl cuts two pieces of paper simultaneously) On the day of the wedding, I had our guests glue my copy of their silhouettes in a over sized book and write a note. It is a lovely keepsake that I look at often.

Also... it is a super convenient favor for guests who have to travel.

Karl was the very first vendor I booked for our New Jersey Wedding. After seeing a spread in the Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine I knew I had to have him. Our entire wedding theme was built around the silhouettes. We used silhouettes of ourselves for the invitations, the seating chart, the programs, and of course our favors were custom silhouettes of each guest. The duplicate silhouette of each of our guests was placed in a guest book and each person signed or wrote a message. It is amazing how you don't even have to look at the name or message to know who it is! The silhouette theme and favors made our wedding absolutely unforgettable for us and all of our guests! Everything from the contract up through the planning, to Karl's arrival was seamless thanks to the great communication of his "associate" and wife Lauren. It was such an honor and pleasure.

Karl, We can't thank you enough... you are insanely talented and we were so privileged to have had you at our wedding!

Almost everything about our wedding had our silhouettes on it, so it was obvious to book Karl. Dealing with Lauren in the booking was a pleasure. She was so warm and helpful. Karl was amazing! Karl came in ready to go...and we don't think he had a bite to eat b/c his line was constantly around the corner of the room! Everyone loved him and people are still talking about him! His accuracy and attention to detail is superb. So many of the ladies in attendance had hairclips and feathers in their hair, and Karl captured each and every one of them. And since he made a duplicate silhouette of everyone, the duplicate went to us for our wedding book. It is our most cherished item of that day. His presence 'made' our event, and we can't thank him enough!

The absolute best part of our wedding... Karl Johnson is a very well-known and highly skilled silhouette artist (go to his website!) that made the ENTIRE wedding for us. Even almost a year later, all of our guests still talk about how unique and classic it was to have a real silhouette artist cut silhouettes of each guest. Not only did he very considerately make two copies (one for the guests to take home, and one for a book---which the guests then signed next to their silhouette), he was kind, good-natured, well-dressed and very professional. In addition, for the unique experience of having a real gifted artist create classic keepsakes and memories, he was VERY WELL PRICED! We were so lucky to have him, and I will forever be thankful. If you don't book him, you are REALLY missing out.

Karl was a huge hit at our wedding! Such a rare treat, that everyone was wow-ed by his skills. Karl can do two - one for the wedding couple and one for the guests. We had the guests paste them in our guestbook. Makes a great favor for the guests too! If you want something unique and classy at your wedding, I'd highly recommend Karl.

Karl did silhouettes at our wedding reception on 1/9/09. Everything was absolutely amazing!! Everyone loved him and people are STILL talking about it. Everyone loved him so much he didn't even get a chance to take a bite of his food until it was time to leave!
I can't get over looking at our guestbook and recognizing our family and friends just with a glance. He kept every detail! Most of the girls were wearing hairpieces or headbands with feathers, and he got every one of them. Astounding! Thank you! Thank you!!

Lauren and Karl thank you for providing the cut Art at our daughter's wedding at St. Regis Hotel, Dana Point, Cal. Karl did an excellent job for over 4 hours at the wedding with our guests.... some guest were disappointed they missed him.
