Richie Abrams from Cutting Edge Entertainment was the DJ/MC for my wedding about three weeks ago. I have nothing but absolutely positive things to say regarding his service! I have already recommended him to four friends that are getting married in the next year! I completely attribute the success of our reception to his ability to read the crowd and play just the right music the entire night! I can not recommend him enough!

Adam Brand and Steve did an amazing job of DJing our wedding. During the process that led up to the wedding. Adam was responsive to our changes (many changes) and were able to accommodate us. They even were able to respond to a last minute change with seamless ability to accommodate us. I thoroughly enjoyed them and I would recommend Cutting Edge Entertainment and especially Adam and Steve to anyone

Richie from Cutting Edge was amazing! He was super friendly and personable on all phone calls, during the two meetings and on the wedding day. You can see that he enjoys what he does and takes it seriously- it's not some "side gig" for him. Cutting edge played music pre-ceremony, for the recessional, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. They also gave us a microphone for the ceremony and hooked my brother's violin up to one of their amps when he played during the ceremony.
My guests were happy with his music choices, the fact that he didn't talk too much on the microphone and that he pronounced all of the last names correctly!! The only reason I didnt give all 5's was that there was some confusion with a song we wanted played during the ceremony and only about 15 seconds was played. The service was otherwise excellent. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM (especially Richie)HIGHLY ENOUGH!

Richie Abrams was our DJ for our wedding April 6th. When we first met him right off the bat he was so energetic and genuinely excited to be a part of our day. Richie created a timeline of events for the reception and was a huge help with giving us ideas to make it special and stand out. Also, he followed the timeline exactly as we worked it with him. So many DJ's promise you they will do things a certain way, then fall far short of what's expected. This guy and his company really delivered! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about our event! Any brides that ask me for a DJ I would say Richie from Cutting Edge DJ Entertainment is the one and only choice!!

We had the pleasure of working with Richie from Cutting Edge on our wedding day. We met with Richie a little over a year before our wedding and I knew immediately that I wanted him to MC and DJ our wedding. He has a great, upbeat attitude and is really friendly, you feel like you've known him for a while. We met with him again a few weeks before the wedding to pick out music and he really picked up on our taste in music very quickly, so the meeting was fun. On our wedding day Richie played all of the beautiful ceremony music and he also played music during the cocktail hour which was a nice addition. During dinner, people kept coming to my table to tell me how great the music was. Once the reception started, the dance floor was never empty. Richie played songs that made everyone get up and dance, and that is exactly what we wanted. We even put together a 80s-90s mix that everyone loved. After the wedding people kept telling me how awesome my DJ was and how much they loved the old school songs. I couldn't have been happier because music was one of the most important parts of the wedding for us, and the DJ was a hit! I would definitely recommened hiring Richie and Cutting Edge to anyone who is looking for great music and a great DJ! It was one of the best decisions we made.

Richie did an amazing job as our wedding DJ! Prior to the wedding he spent hours with us picking out the perfect music for both our ceremony and reception. We felt like we got personal attention with Cutting Edge, which was extremely important to us. He got to know our taste in music which helped him know the type of music to play. Throughout the wedding, he had everyone on the dance floor and even entertained my nephew with his DJ skills! People raved about the great music! There is no need to worry about your guests having a great time if you have a Richie behind the DJ booth - it's a guarantee that they will!

DJ Richie Abrams and his team were incredible!! We were married the week Hurricane Sandy hit and just wanted to have an amazing party with all our friends and family who could make the wedding. Richie kept the dance floor pumping and a vast crowd of tastes happy from cocktail hour until the last song. Not only was he great during the day-of, the time leading up to the wedding was amazing. He was extremely organized, attentive, knowledgeable, upbeat and genuine - as were the whole staff at Cutting Edge (thanks, Kim!). We went through a long list of DJs and knew 2 minutes into our meeting with Richie that he was the best we'd seen and we had to have him. I want a friend to book him so I can party at another one of his weddings! The uplighting upgrade got us more compliments than we ever could have imagined - go for it, it's awesome!

Cutting Edge entertainment did our music and lighting at the reception and did a great job! But what stood out the most was the extra work Brian put in. I wanted something special for my father daughter dance and he remixed more than a few songs to make it happen. The whole staff at Cutting Edge is a blast to work with from my first meeting with Richie, to contract discussions with Craig, calls with Kim, and all the fun with Brian it was a stress free experience from start to finish. Everyone should book them!

There was no question who our wedding DJ was going to be. Marc and the Cutting Edge team were a joy to work with from day one. Our first meeting was so laid back and professional at the same time - we left the office knowing our wedding was in good hands. We told Marc that we wanted a dance party and a good time for all of our guests. Ask and you shall receive! Our guests raved about what an amazing time they had dancing the night away! Marc kept the night running smoothly and on time. He worked with us on our introductions beforehand and they were so great! Our son felt so special being introduced as a wrestler, saying that Marc was "so awesome".

The uplighting Marc suggested was a beautiful touch to the reception. The room felt so cozy and intimate with the pink lights. And once the music started, the lights moved with the beat, really livening up the room.

Many of our guests have asked for our DJ's contact information and I am more than happy to forward it on. Anyone looking for a great DJ and company to deal with, should absolutely contact Cutting Edge Entertainment.

I've been a little late in writing this but I definitely wanted to let people know that Cutting Edge is a great company to go with and Richie was an awesome DJ!! He made our wedding reception a true party. The dance floor was literally packed the whole night. We had met with a couple other places before picking Richie and we were sure glad we did. The one-on-one meetings were great b/c we just sat around and listened to music and talked. It was a very stress free environment and Richie made it fun and easy. Anyone who plans a wedding knows how frustrating dealing with vendors can be but this was one company that I enjoyed planning with and would highly recommend.
Everyone also knows how annoying brides can be but Richie was super chill and responded back to me right away whenever I called or emailed. The best part about having Richie as our DJ was that he literally let us do whatever we wanted. From letting our bridal party walk into Pantera (which was awesome) to playing five Backstreet Boys songs b/c I was obsessed with them back in the day.
I wanted to acknowledge my grandparents at my wedding and toast to how long they have been married. Richie did everything I asked and my speech and toast to them went perfectly. My grandparents got married 55 years ago so clearly their wedding song was not very well know anymore but I asked Richie if he could try and get it and he did!! It was a great feeling getting to see them dance to their wedding song 55 years later.
Overall Cutting Edge is great and my only experience with them has been with Richie so I highly recommend him. He played all the music we asked for and went above and beyond to make our day one we will never forget.

We interviewed several DJ's, but when we spoke to Richie Abrams at Cutting Edge, we knew he was our man. He was so interested in us and what would be important to our guests. We are in our 50's so with an bit older crowd we wanted someone who could span the generations, keeping the night moving and lively while relating to a few old fashioned traditions we had. Richie was awesome. He was so professional and fun, it was always about the bride and groom and our guests. His music choices were perfect and the wedding was one big dancin' machine. Even people who never dance were on the floor like crazy fools. People are still saying it was the wedding of a decade, largely because of Richie! His pacing, music choices and personal charm made him the DJ of the decade too! Thanks Richie, you are awesome!

We had the privilege of having Brian Lacivita as our wedding DJ at the Hyatt at the Bellevue this past weekend and he was awesome! He was great at reading the crowd and kept the dance floor packed all night! Multiple guests asked me for his playlist the following day. We can't thank him enough and highly recommend him!

For our reception, we wanted only one music genre played, and our DJ, Craig took the time to meet with us (twice) in his office before the event to cement a playlist. He really understood what mood we wanted to create and defended our music choices against guest requests without hurting any feelings. The whole team from Cutting Edge was professional and worked to make sure our guests truly enjoyed their time on the dance floor. They didn't come cheap, but they were worth it.

My wife found Cutting Edge on websites such as this and we feel compelled to give back to the community which gave us such a special day! Richie was our MC and he did a fantastic job! From the day we met him we were very impressed with his professionalism - And here I thought they just play some songs for you, right? Wrong! I had no idea how much thought and preparation goes not only into the music, but into the whole evening's structure, and Richie walked us through in a thoughful manner always asking us for feedback, etc.

Finally, after months of preparation the night's celebration was a huge hit! Richie was awesome, so personable and fun, and the choice and flow of music was spot on - from dinner to dancing the night away, everyone commented how great the song selections were. And poor Richie had to contend with certain music requests which he knew we either wouldn't like or could kill the mood. As promised he just stayed true to us - never saying "the bride and groom doesn't want this", but rather "I'll try to get to it"...perfect!!

We cannot recommend Cutting Edge and specifically Richie enough. They did a great job!

We found Cutting Edge Entertainment and after reading other reviews, requested Richie for our September wedding. We were sold after meeting with him once and became so excited after sitting down with him to review the plan for the day. He had great suggestions, worked eagerly with the songs and traditions we proposed, and was able to fill in the gaps when needed. The day of, from the ceremony to the dancing, the music was spot on! Richie kept the crowd energized, interacted well with our guests, and provided great introductions. Everyone had a blast and I know a large part of that was due to Richie and Cutting Edge Entertainment!

My wife and I recently had Richie Abrams as our DJ for our wedding at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown. He couldn't have done a better job. We had a great time meeting with him and going over the music we did and did't want played at our wedding. He picked up on our music preferences immediately and made our wedding a blast. We had a lot of requests, such as starting songs at specific spots (1 min 15 seconds into a song) for our processional and wanting certain songs played at specific times during the wedding, all of which where done exactly as asked. Richie was the best and we would highly recommend him!

My wife and I recently used Cutting Edge DJ’s for our wedding. They did a fantastic job throughout the entire process. We worked with Adam, who was very attentive throughout the planning process. He was very good about responding to emails and gave us lots of ideas for specific dance songs. They did an excellent job having a remote speaker during out cocktail hour, which was out of view from guests but we were still able to hear the music.

During the reception Adam kept a good pace of dancing and breaks for speeches, dinner, etc. Also the noise level of the music and microphone was excellent, not so loud that you could not hear people speak, and not too low that you cold not hear the music. My wife and I would recommend Cutting Edge DJ’s for a wedding.

DJ Richie Abrams and his team were amazing at our wedding! They were very professional and personable. He provided great music and kept the party going to the very end. He definitely provided a very memorable wedding day. One of the most important items to us out our wedding was that everyone had fun on the Dance Floor. If you get Richie, you will not be disappointed!! He kept everyone on the dance floor and rocking all night long!!

Brian from Cutting Edge was such a wonderful MC for our wedding! He understood the music we wanted played, and did more than just "play music" -- he kept the party going all night long, and provided the perfect soundtrack and narration to keep energy levels high. Not only did he do our reception, but he provided cocktail and ceremony music, too. In meeting with Brian, he understood our likes (ranging from country and rap (husband) to everything in between (me), and provided the perfect mix to keep all our guests happy. There were a few obsucre songs we wanted, and right in our meeting, Brian made sure to find and download them.

We found Cutting Edge Entertainment's packages to be extremely competitive, and one of the best bonuses was they have inexpensive uplighting, which truly took our reception decor to the next...

I recently got married at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia and utilized Cutting Edge Entertainment for my DJ and MC. We were lucky enough to get Brian as our DJ / MC. Richie was the MC/DJ at my cousins' wedding. Everyone had a blast so I HAD to book him for my wedding too! Our wedding was AMAZING and everyone had FUN. What I valued most was his personal touch.
We were having a traditional Asian Wedding but wanted American customs and music. Richie met up with us several times and helped us incorporate 3 cultures! Chinese, Vietnamese and American. The older generation was very pleased. He also went beyond his duties and mixed us our first dance song. He really made our wedding UNFORGETTABLE!

We were SO happy with Cutting Edge for our MC/DJ. Having both the MC and DJ was a great choice. Brian our MC was great to deal with! We felt confident after our first meeting that Cutting Edge would be great. Then, meeting with Brian a few weeks before the wedding went great and he made us feel totally confident about our day. We had such a fun time dancing and received many comments from guests that they had a blast . They played a great variety of music so all generations could dance and we never heard a song from our do not play list!!

Cutting Edge was awesome through out the entire process. Richie Abrams was great, no pressure, our first meeting was relaxed and a ton of fun. Cutting Edge was amazing! It all started when I was just 13 years old. Craig was the DJ at my Bat Mitzvah and he was fantastic. My parents loved him and he made me feel so comfortable. When I got engaged a year ago, I knew right away that I wanted nothing more that Craig to be the DJ at my wedding. I was a long-distance bride, and he was so accommodating. We met when I was in town, but did much of our communication via email and telephone. We gave him some song choices that he made sure were played, but we left much of it up to him. He made our wedding day the most special day of our lives. After the reception was over we got so many compliments regarding the music. These compliments came from our friends and family members of all different ages. Craig did such a great job of make sure all age ranges were entertained. I would absolutely use Cutting edge again. Both my husband and I will recommend them to all of our friends!

Richie of Cutting Edge Entertainment was an AMAZING DJ and so easy to work with. He was very attentive to our needs and kept the party going all night. I was very particular in my DJ choice. I wanted him to keep the party going without stealing the show or being too in-your-face. He did both flawlessly. Everyone kept saying what a fabulous job he did. We met with him in depth before our wedding to go over song choices, and he delivered as promised. Our one request was to have a very long, kick-butt hora, and people are still talking about it! He did our ceremony as well which was seamless. People actually though we had a string trio during the ceremony, but nope... it was Rich! We used Richie Abrams and Cutting Edge Entertainment for our September 2011 wedding. I found them online and called for a quote. Richie contacted me by phone and we went over the details of the wedding. I was impressed with their price as they were coming in lower than other big names in the area. I arranged to meet to make sure we liked him and it was a great meeting. Everyone at Cutting Edge was really responsive anytime I had a question, even the owner called to ensure I was getting the service I needed. The night of the wedding Richie and his DJ were right on. The music was great and he worked seamlessly with my wedding coordinator to go through all the formalities. We had a small medical emergency with a guets which stopped the wedding for 45 minutes. Once everything was okay, Richie was able to jump start the party and people actually started dancing again! IT was great to be able to end the wedding on a fun note which was possible because of Richie and Cutting Edge entertainment.

Richie is exactly what couples look for in a DJ; motivated, accomodating, professional and personable. From start to finish, Richie was an absolute Ace in terms of coordination and planning. At no point did we have to chase Richie about details, if anything he was consistently following-up with us. Our wedding was at Cairnwood Mansion, in Bryn Athyn, PA, and not only is Richie highly recommend by the venue, but demonstrated working knowledge of the layout. We had full control over the music played, which provided a wide variety of music and excluded anything that we didn't want to hear (line dances or heavy rap music). In addition, Richie gauged the audience on the dance floor and adjusted accordingly, essentially achieveing exactly what we wanted, a fun environment with a great mix of music and keeping everyone on the dance floor. An absolute pleasure to do business with, I would recommend Richie in a heartbeat.

I would say the hardest thing to do with Brian at Cutting Edge Entertainment is to pick a place to start raving about him.

Our wedding was supposed to be an outside wedding. However, the rain did not cooperate with us and we were forced to change venues for the reception three hours before our ceremony began. Upon arrival, Brian was informed of this. I would guess this would put a hitch into any DJ's plan for a gig, but Brian took it in perfect stride. He had the ceremony set up so that we could use one microphone for our vows then had a hidden microphone in the crowd for one of our guests to sing as we walked out (pretty cool surprise). After the ceremony, he was able to break down and get to the new venue, set up, and start music before any of our guest arrived.

During the reception only the grandparents were sitting down (obvious reasons) but everyone else was up dancing and he kept them out there too! If something was not working, he changed it and if it was working he rolled along with similar music. One of my groomsman requested that he could sing a song to the bride and Brian cleared that with me before he
handed over the microphone (never know what a drunk guy might do).

To be perfectly honest, all of our guests told us they had a great time and our DJ had a huge part in that. It really means a lot when you look around at your wedding and see people up and dancing, smiling, laughing, and mingling. Brian made that happen for us and we would greatly and whole-heartedly recommend using Brian!

Highly recommend Cutting Edge / Richie!

Reasons:

First, I was planning my wedding from abroad, which is not so easy. Richie was very flexible in when I could call him and speak about the plans. He was very friendly and easy to work with.

Second, my plans were up in the air but Richie worked very well with my caterer and myself to help us build a solid timeline and gave very good recommendations for the plan / music selection.

Third, the day of my wedding was so hectic but Richie was very good with keeping to the flow / adapting when necessary.

Fourth, the party was AWESOME and Richie and the DJ kept the party going. They are def professionals and know what they are doing.

Last, the best man was drunk as heck and kept trying to hand more tips Richie but Richie was very nice about it and did not accept the money.

Overall, great experience!

Richie did an absolutely amazing job and my husband and could not be happier!! He is very professional and personable. We went through a timeline before hand, so we knew exactly what to expect on the day, and things couldn't have gone any smoother than they did. He is extremely patient and helped us pick out all of our songs - from the entrance song, to the last dance. The dance floor was packed the whole night and people were fighting to keep their spot on the dance floor. He played a variety of songs, including all of our requests. Richie is FANTASTIC!!!! I was a bit worried at first, because its our wedding and we wanted it to be perfect, but we realized that everything cant always go as planned, but let me tell you that Richie and his crew really impressed me, and went above and beyond our expectations. They were prompt and ready to go about an hour and a half before the ceremony, Richie went over all the plans he had for our guests that night. He was more than a DJ, and really brought the wedding to life. It was really kind of him to be respectful to come ask me if he can do an activity. He asked me even though it was an awesome idea. I'm happy to say that Richie was a professional through the whole process, and even called me after the wedding to thank me for using his services, which in our day and age, is really thoughtful and considerate. Awesome vendor! We worked with Brian as our MC and he was friendly, personable, helpful, etc. He catered to our husband and I more than our caterer. He also had great music, kept the party going and did everything we asked. SO many people commented about the good dancing at our wedding. One thing that I think it exceptional about cutting edge is that you have 2 people - a DJ and an MC which helps A LOT!

Cutting Edge Entertainment was one of my favorite vendors for my wedding day. Richie did a great job the day of the wedding,and everybody had a great time. He was also great leading up to the wedding,and was easy to contact and promptly responded to emails. I also used Cutting Edge for lighting services. I highly recommend the uplighting..the room looked stunning,and exceeded my expectations. I have absolutely no complaits,great vendor!

My wife Keri and I were referred to Richie and Cutting Edge DJ's by a trusted friend and it turned out to be a perfect match. From the beginning Richie worked closely with us to personalize every part of our wedding. He was open to all of our unique ideas and tastes, and at the same time drew upon his previous wedding experience. When the big day finally came we had an absolutely jam packed dance floor. We even had multiple side dance areas open up because the main one was so packed. Richie and Cutting Edge were able to perfectly read the crowd and to mix in our previously requested songs along with what the crowd was looking for. Most importantly to us, he avoided our extensive list of DO NOT PLAY songs. On top of the great music, as Emcee of the event Richie made the entire night flow perfectly. I personally recommend Cutting Edge DJs, and especially Richie for any wedding or event.

Richie kept our wedding moving all night long and had the appropriate music playing for every different event of the wedding celebration. It was a wonderful wedding with great music and atmosphere!!

The service was especially amazing as we made some last minute changes to the reception minutes before the beginning but Richie and his crew handled it beyond our expectations. We do not have anything to say about the DJing but praises!!

I was a pretty laidback bride, to be entirely honest. I just wanted my guests to have a good time. My fiance and I had very little specific requests and basically told Richie, "We trust you-- do what you do best." And he did!

We loved Richie-- such a charismatic, sincere guy-- and we were so thrilled to have him as our MC. As we began planning our wedding, he was prompt to respond to random questions and some last minute issues we had with the reception-- always helpful and always cheerful. He asked us all of our preferences and also provided us suggestions that were helpful. He knew what he was doing, for sure. We were entirely confident in his ability to make our day awesome!

Richie laid out his plan for our reception in terms of the events and set lists. Everything at the reception was smooth as butter. The way the events were scheduled over the course of the night was awesome! He spread things out to give our guests something to look forward to and gave ample opportunity to get everyone involved.

I received SO many compliments about our DJ. Everyone-- and I mean everyone-- danced the whole night. We had limited alcohol and were afraid if people weren't loosened up, they wouldn't dance. That was not a problem! When we'd met with other DJs and told them our above concern, they kind of winced. Richie told us immediately that wasn't a problem-- and that it was his job to get people out there. He certainly did! We were so thrilled to see everyone have a good time.

We really cannot recommend Cutting Edge enough!

Every review for Cutting Edge Entertainment on Wedding Wire is dead on. They are fabulous! The dance floor was packed all night. Two months later I'm still getting compliments. The great thing is that these compliments are coming from every age group and every taste in music. No one was left out.

Richie was our MC. He and our DJ played every song we requested and dozens more than I never would have thought of. When they played the theme song from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the dance floor went crazy!

It also was important to us that our wedding DJ not be "cheesy." Richie created the perfect balance between being super professional at all times and also being a lot of fun. His interaction with our guests was great. I still laugh now thinking about how he turned on the charm for some of the older women among our guests.

Bottom line - you won't regret Cutting Edge!

I highly recommend Cutting Edge and DJ/MC Richie who made sure the party atmosphere of our wedding night was just as successful as the ceremony. Not only did he ensure everything went smoothly, but he did it with class and a whole lot of fun. The planning process, in particular, was where Cutting Edge set themselves apart from other vendors.

First off, we were able to get two DJ’s (Richie who acted mostly as MC and another young man who was sort of like an apprentice and I hadn’t met until the day of the wedding) plus uplighting for close to the price of what other vendors were charging for a single DJ. We found this to be a vital reason for the success of the evening, as Richie was able to spend time coordinating with the catering staff, making announcements and doing more “directing” than just standing behind a CD mixer. He was interactive with the crowd without being overbearing. The worst thing I could imagine is a DJ trying to “steal the show” at a wedding… and I’ve seen it plenty of times at other people’s affairs. Thankfully, Richie knew how to strike the right balance, while maintaining the right level of energy. While the price may have been a tad higher, we found it to be the biggest “bang for your buck” as far as the difference goes (you know, like $100 more in flowers adds very little value, $100 more in food gets you one more plate, while $100 more in DJ costs gets you a smoother operation that also LOOKS more upscale)

As for the lighting, the Cutting Edge options provided just what we needed for a fraction of the cost of “lighting designers.” To each their own but I couldn’t imagine spending more on lights than my videographer, which some lighting “artists” wanted to charge me. Cutting Edge added it in for very little extra cost and Richie and his crew were even able to install them at first in the ceremony space with a simple white light and then transfer them to the reception room, where the same lights produced vibrant blues, amber, etc. There were many color options all in the same light because they use LED, which also has the benefit of being energy efficient & cool to the touch (good for little kids) and reduces the chance of a fire in the middle of your wedding. Seriously!

The biggest reason I recommend Richie & Cutting Edge is that they listened to us. It was disturbing and shocking that certain competitors told us point blank “I won’t play the music the bride and groom want to hear, my job is not to listen to their desires, my job is to get people up and dancing so that guests will remember they had a good time and recommend me for future business.” Umm, I get that this is a business and all but as a contracted vendor you are working for ME, not referrals. Heck, if I hired you to play polka all night long that’s what you would do because that’s why I’m paying you. Fortunately, my wife and I have much better music tastes so it wasn’t an issue. And Richie was not only OPEN to playing songs we did want to hear, he made it FUN to talk about songs. We had a meeting for I’d say an hour where we sat around in the office and played songs off iTunes and went over different options for “events” such as Father-Daughter Dance or Cake Cutting. Richie had recommendations, while we also brought in a very long list of songs we liked and hoped to hear (and a handful of “must plays”) It helped him understand our style more and cater his setlist to our tastes. We wanted a mix of everything from Motown to Oldies to Beatles to Funk to Stevie Wonder to Michael Jackson to 80’s to modern danceable pop like Justin Timberlake, and he was knowledgeable about all of it. The most “alternative” song choice we had was entering to MGMT’s “Electric Feel.” Not only did Richie know the song right away, he had a few remixes as options. We felt comfortable immediately that Richie “got it” and were put at ease that our reception would have people dancing all night long. This, of course, turned out to be true.
I also want to point out how important it was to have certain songs NOT played (i.e. chicken dance, line dances, Celine Dion, etc) and again, Richie took this into consideration and guaranteed a “do not play” list while other DJ’s threatened to “play whatever THEY wanted.” Insane!

Acting as MC also meant that Richie went over (and adjusted) a “timeline” of events with us in advance, which as the detail-oriented wedding planner groom that I was, I found really important. Of course it’s impossible to plan for everything at a wedding but having a meticulous schedule in advance made it feel more orchestrated than doing everything “on the fly”

One final note: Cutting Edge’s policy as far as I understand is to dress professionally, and Richie & crew showed up in black tie… so that should put your mind at ease about DJ’s who wear jeans to formal events.
Overall, again, a big thumbs up for Cutting Edge and ask for Richie if he’s available!

Craig was our MC, and Steve was our DJ. We were concerned that our guests were of varied ages (my fiancee and I are in our late 30s), and a lot of our guests were younger. We wanted a very eclectic mix, and Craig (the owner) brought a great understanding of our older crowds tastes, while Steve, his DJ, handled the more current stuff, and did a great job. Craig was interactive, and allowed our guests to actually sing into the microphone for lots of songs, which really let so many of our guests become more of participants than invited guests. We are still getting calls from friends (months after) and we could not have been more pleased. It was great to have a 2 man team, because all aspects were handled with precision.

Not only would we recommend Craig and Steve, but friends used Brian from Cutting Edge, who did as great a job as Craig. I didn't catch the name of the DJ who was with him, but again they were awesome (although I'm biased, and think my wedding was better :))

Cutting Edge did our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music. It was fantastic. They were incredibly detailed in our prep meetings and got everything together. They also did our lighting for the reception as well. It really made the room pop. The dance floor was full all night and my guests said it was the best wedding they ever went to - a true party. I can't reccomend them enough!

Thank you for everything especially during our music meetings. You spent so much time ensuring you understood us as a couple and our ideas, expectations, etc. We totally took to heart what you said about dancing all night and everyone else would – best advice ever!

The dance floor was never empty, except for the cake cutting, but was back to full capacity right after. And I can think of no other DJ that would track down Eric Cartman from South Park singing “Poker Face” for our reverse garter. You made our night so special!

Right from the start my husband and I decided that the music was going to be one of the most important aspects of our wedding. We interviewed quite a few DJ's and when we sat down with Richie from Cutting Edge Entertainment, we were so pleased and excited and knew right away he was the one for us! I can not put into words how much of an incredible difference he made at our wedding. The precious moments were perfect with such sweet romantic music in the background and the party was incredible! EVERYONE, from young to old was up dancing and having a blast. Several people commented on what a wonderful DJ we had found. Many said it was the best wedding they've ever been to and that they hadn't had that much fun in years. Richie, another member from cutting edge , my husband and myself spent some time before our wedding just hanging out, talking about music and getting to know one another. This had such a positive effect on our wedding day because it wasn't just your typical wedding songs..it was music that really reflected who we are as a couple. I would recommend Cutting Edge, and specifically Richie to anyone. Out of the 4 million decisions that go into putting a wedding together, deciding on Cutting Edge was by far the best:)

My husband and I chose Cutting Edge thanks to the recommendation of an excellent friend. He told us that the company is great, providing a DJ AND an MC, lighting options, and always having extra equipment available in case of any issues. He raved about Richie, who is an MC but also mixes amazing beats and happens to be the best in the Philadelphia region. We met with him and were instantly convinced that he was the man for the job. He was professional, accommodating, and had a great confidence and vision, completely exceeding our expectations. Also, he helped us to pick some newer, non-cliche songs for our ceremony.

At the wedding, Richie set up the microphones for our ceremony and played the music that he helped us to pick. It was a huge success and felt very personal. On to the reception... Richie coordinated everything with the kitchen to ensure that the evening flowed smoothly, and he had the perfect choice of music to entertain guests of all ages. My parents commented how the volume was perfect, especially during the dinner hour. They were able to hold a conversation for as long as they could before we all just had to hit the dance floor. The entertainment couldn't have been better. Not only that, the price for a DJ and MC was as good as most companies who only provide a DJ, and trust me, you want both. Richie from Cutting Edge Entertainment was the MC for our reception. He also contributed music and ran the mics for the ceremony. He was fantastic. We had a lot of requests and thoughts on how we wanted the reception to go and Richie was very accommodating. The pre-wedding prep is thorough and fun. He worked with us to make our wedding exactly as we had envisioned it. Aside from playing many of the popular songs we wanted played at the wedding, Richie did a wonderful job with the Indian music my wife requested. He is comfortable behind the mic and does a great job at engaging the guests. He will keep the dance floor full. We highly recommend him.

Criag was great throughout the planning process but did not follow through on the day of the wedding.We were overall disappointed that many of the songs we requested they play were not played, and genres that were specifically asked to avoid were played at the reception.

For the money, they were ok but I would request a different emcee if i used them again.

I'm originally from the Bucks County area and have been familiar with Cutting Edge Entertainment for many, many years (lots of Bar Mitzvahs during my youth). I also had a number of my friends working for the company as dancers or DJs-in-training. One of these friends was Rich Abrams whom I have known for 20 years. I ran into Rich at our 10 year high school reunion, he told me that he was DJing full time, and I immediately thought to ask him about my upcoming wedding. When I called to talk to him about this, he was beyond excited to help us out - including driving to our wedding site in Brooklyn, NY!

Leading up to the wedding, Rich was in constant contact and kept promising to make this "the most amazing day of your life - one that everyone will talk about". He didn't lie. He was more than flexible in terms of price, music selection, arrival time, amplifying our outdoor ceremony, microphone time, any every other aspect that we requested. The wedding went off without a hitch, everyone tells us what a wonderful time they had, and, in my opinion, it was largely due to the excellence of Rich and Cutting Edge Entertainment. My now husband and I only met with one entertainment company. After our meeting with Cutting Edge there was no doubt in our minds that there was no need for us to look any further. Our meeting with Richie was great. He was easy to talk to, helpful in picking out songs by playing them for us and if we didn't like them he would make other suggestions. He really took the time to go through our selections with us and wanted us to be happy.. The price was was by all means reasonable for the entertainment we received. Myself, my husband and ALL of our guests had a fabulous time! We danced until the last song was played. My feet hurt so badly after all the dancing that at the end of the night I had to give myself a foot massage. The hurt was well worth the pain!! We chose Rich at Cutting Edge Entertainment because of our first-hand experience at a friend's wedding. We enjoyed the music and his willingness to mix songs to make our day unique to our personalities.

Upon our first meeting, Rich explained the typical layout of a wedding and asked for our basic songs. When Rich realized we had nothing in mind, in took the time to make suggestions and play the songs right there at the office. Rich even worked with me on special requests. I wanted my father/daughter dance to be a mix of 2 songs, and I wanted the entrance into the reception to lead right into our first dance. Rich gave us his opinion on the situation, but did not force us to follow his ideas. He worked with us via e-mail and phone to ensure the mixed songs were perfect.

During the wedding, his experience was evident as he did not require my fiancée’ and I to submit a lengthy song list. We were able to trust his choices at the wedding.

I was apprehensive about how much “fun” our wedding was going to be since it was on a Sunday afternoon Rich’s music selection was perfect because his choices were able to provide the elegance and beauty of an outdoor wedding, and then turn our Sunday afternoon reception into what felt like a Saturday night bash. . Rich’s experience as a D.J., as well as his willingness to work with what the bride and groom desired, helped to create an unforgettable wedding experience.

Richie (and the rest of the staff) at Cutting Edge was fantastic to work with from beginning to end! He listened to what we wanted and made it happen. From intros to cake to special songs and dances all the way to the very last song it was exactly what we envisioned. I can honestly say of the dozens of weddings I have been to, I danced more at my own wedding! I'm writing this review for Richie Abrams at Cuttign Edge Entertainment. Richie did a fantastic job preparing for and executing our wedding day DJ services. I have to be honest, my bride and I thought we had all the "bases covered" with the music, but Richie was so "hands on" in thinking about and walking us through all the little details up front that we had absolutely nothing to worry about come our wedding day.

Besides that fact that Richie was uber professional and a great guy to work with, here's some more insight about Cutting Edge Entertainment in general:
- the speakers and DJ equipment used sounded great
- there package was flexible for our needs and we didn't feel pressured to "over-buy"
- like I mentioned above, very professional and methodical in preparation
- price was extremely reasonable (you get A LOT of service for the money!!)

Craig and the team at Cutting Edge Entertainment are like the glue that will hold your wedding together. We had a band and a singer, but the DJ helped everything run smoothly and was well worth it. Craig is a really fun and caring man who will help guide you with the right choices without being pushy. What was great was that he needed very little prompting to get it perfect, so dealing with him during a very stressful planning time was actually a respite from all the wedding craziness. They are helpful, responsive and above all a fun company. I suspect you wont regret using Cutting Edge Entertainment. Book them!

Cutting Edge did an amazing job at our wedding. The thing I remember most is that they brought so much music, even stuff that we forgot to request when we met with the DJ (Tony). There were a few songs that my bridesmaids were like "He has to play this!" and I was like omg, I forgot to request that stuff but it turned out he had EVERYTHING!! I was happy to know he didn't just bring the stuff I requested, but way beyond. He was very professional and cute, and my bridesmaids loved him. My dad loved it too because he played my parents wedding song, which was unexpected. It was all totally amazing.

We were very pleased and happy with there services. The DJ's were great, they did an exceptional job. The dance floor was never empty and everyone had such a great time. Mary who took the pictures throughout the day did such a great job and was able to capture wonderful candid pictures throughout the night

Cutting Edge Entertainment was a great find for our wedding. Our wedding was right before Christmas and I knew that I wanted a mix of different types of music at our wedding. I am a huge Disney fan and wanted to have some Disney music played but didn't want it to be extremely noticable. We decided to make an appointment and as soon as we walked in I knew this was the DJ for us! They have Disney memorabilia all over! I thought this is great, they will totally understand what I am trying to do with the music and still have the dance floor packed all night. We were not let down at all.
Richie was our DJ/MC and from Cocktail hour to the end of the night we couldn't of been happier with his services. He did a great job of mixing in Disney songs during cocktail hour and then switching to dance songs for the rest of the night! Everyone still talks about what a great time they had.
We honestly didn't worry about a thing all night!

Cutting Edge did a great job at my wedding. They are extremely professional and responsive, and they did a good job reading the crowd at our wedding and knowing what music to play to keep everyone dancing. My husband and I didn't really have any idea what songs we wanted played for our first dance, the father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, etc. and Cutting Edge provided great suggestions and ideas. My only complaint is that there were specific things we did NOT want played (i.e., we didn't want any 'line dances' like the Electric Slide, etc) and, despite having communicated this to our DJ, he still played a couple of these songs. My advice is just to be really, really clear on your musical preferences. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with Cutting Edge.

These guys rock!!! They have an awesome staff and had answers for all our questions. As for the reception our DJ Richie had 95% our guest out on the dance floor the whole night. Everyone had a blast, they still keep asking when we going to have another party like that. I would highly recommend Cutting Edge to anyone looking for a DJ to provide entertainment for their event.

I wish I could rate higher than a 5!!!!!! Rich from Cutting Edge was the easiest part of our wedding planning! We had an unusual first dance and he worked with us every step of the way to get the music just right and give our guests quite a suprise! Every song was perfectly executed! The way our venue was set up, there were no seats in the dance floor area, there was a quiet coffee room on the other side of the building for guests who didn't want to dance.... needless to say, not a single chair was moved! Everyone was on their feet dancing the whole time from age 3 - mid 70's! We even ended up extending the reception an extra hour because everyone was having such a great time!

We were lucky to have reccomended Rich to a friend for her wedding almost a year later and he was every bit as wonderful and engaging to the guests at her wedding!

If I could do it all again, besides my husband, Rich from Cutting Edge Entertainment would be my #1 go to guy!

We got married at Cairnwood Mansion in Bryn Athyn, PA which isn't an easy venue to DJ. There were multiple rooms and the dance floor wasn't anywhere near the dinner tables. We needed someone who knew what they were doing. We met with Richie Abrams from Cutting Edge Entertainment and we were 100% sold he could make everything perfect for us. Richie is very friendly, personable and professional...the whole team was. We didn't have to but we provided them with a list of some songs we really wanted to hear during the night. They played them all and everything else they played kept the dance floor full all night long. The multiple rooms were not an issue. We probably could have used a bigger dance floor there were so many people having a great time. Everything was seemless! We got married two years ago and our guests still rave about our wedding and how much fun they had. James and I were extremely happy. They were the Perfect DJ for our perfect day..!! I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have an excellent and professional DJ at their wedding or party.

This kept my wifes family dancing for quiet sometime since they didnt want to talk to my family.

My wedding day was something that I have dreamed of since I was a little girl so I wanted to make sure that everything was perfect. Through all of the planning I knew that the entertainment was the most important part. I tossed around the idea of having a band until a co-worker of mine suggested Cutting Edge Entertainment. She was just at a wedding and said that the entire party did not sit down once. So I decided to meet with them and see what they were all about. As I went into the meeting I was unsure of having a DJ at such a big affair, but needless to say I walked out of the meeting booking them for my wedding. They answered all my questions, helped me plan the music choices for the night and just placed me at ease for my special day. They were everything that I expected and more the day of the event. Tony and his staff were professional and outgoing. They talked to everyone from the flower girl to my grandmother. I was nervous that no one would dance but there was nothing to be nervous about after the first set. All of my guest were up dancing and singing and having a great time. On such a special day you have so much to worry about but I did not have to worry about Cutting Edge Entertainment or my guests having a blast. I want to thank Tony, Craig and the entire staff at Cutting Edge Entertainment for making my special day everything I have dreamed of and more!! I highly recommend Cutting Edge Entertainment for any affair that you are planning. They are the #1 pick!

I have to say, I usually don't write reviews, but Cutting Edge definitely deserves one! Tammie and I had DJ Jason at our affair and he was GREAT! Cutting Edge is such a warm atmosphere and when we went in to visit with them they were very receptive to our plans and helped us pick out the perfect song for our bridal party. They are extremely professional and even called us a few times before our wedding just to check in on us. For the price, you won't find a better DJ. DJ Jason was great and if you're looking to book someone, definitely ask for him!

I used Cutting Edge Entertainment for my wedding and I have nothing but rave reviews for them. Everyone at my party had the time of their life and my husband (sounds so cool) and I could not have been happier. They handled everything -planning prior to the event - from the ceremony through cocktails all the way to the last dance.
The DJ kept the dance floor packed and the MC handled everything so we could enjoy our guests.

Ok so my fiancee and I are picky... VERY picky. We used Cutting Edge Entertainment and Adam was our DJ/MC at the reception. Everything, and I mean everything was exactly as we dreamed, and all had a great time.

When we did our final wrap-up meeting at the office with Adam, we ended up staying there for three hours while Adam, and the owner (Craig) sat with us and helped us choose just the right mix of music. I was amazed at their knowledge of music and how much they had at their fingertips right on the office computer. I suggest everyone use these folks, because they know what they're doing and they're damn good at it.

These guys did my wedding on October 25 and my freinds are still talking about the music. They had all of us dancing in the lobby and they interacted with all my guests. My nana evne enjoyed the music they played for her which wasn't to loud. Craig and Cutting Edge are really cutting edge. They are doing my best girl freind's wedding in June. Also played all the type of music we discussed ahead of time.

Pedro was amazing! He made us feel like OUR day was the ONLY day that existed. Thank God he was there, because he got everyone dancing and laughing- even my cranky aunt and uncle who barely talk to each other were whooping it up on the dance floor. I really was made to feel special by CE entire staff. Thank you!!

Cutting Edge was my first and only choice for my wedding DJ. Our DJ as Richie Abrams. I could not have asked for a better DJ. We met with him personally prior to our wedding. He went over all the music we wanted and didn't want. I was so happy on our wedding. They respected all my songs (playing the ones I wanted -- playing the ones I didn't). I found out about Cutting Edge from a co-worker who used them for a 50th anniversary party she said that the DJ she had was the best. So I called and spoke with Maura. She was very helpful and full of information. When I asked about maybe setting up a meeting she was great (I was a bit worried that meetings were only M-F) and she gladly set up a meeting for a Saturday afternoon. The meeting went great and I got to see a video on some of the MCs. I told her I had to shop around a bit before I settled on a MC but Cutting Edge was defiantly in the running. So I called around and I could not find a better price (with all that the package came with) or a better company. I have to say that everyone from from Cutting Edge that myself or my now husband spoke to was friendly and informative.

Our wedding was amazing all the music was played at the right times, Ritchie(our MC) made sure that everyone was where the were supposed before he started to play a song for the cake,flowers,etc... The best part was that neither my husband nor I had to worry about a thing. All we had to do was have fun and enjoy our day. When we came back from our honeymoon everyone I spoke to said the same thing that they have never seen everyone at a wedding get up and dance and have such a good time. That is why I think Cutting Edge Entertainment is the best.....

My fiance Tom and I met with Maura last spring and chose Cutting Edge for the entertainment for our day. What we liked the most was the artistic control we had over the music played at our reception. Rich was our M.C. and he sat with us and worked out the music for our introductions, dances-we went into our day confident that the dance floor would be filled. The day was great so many of our friends said the music made the receptions and we would happily recommend Cutting Edge to anyone planning their wedding.

Cutting Edge was one of 3 DJ's my husband and I met with before my wedding. They were by far the most professional and informative. We met with Maura initially who showed us a video and talked with us about what they offer and provide at a wedding. They offered the most for their price and at first we were a little concerned that we weren't really paying enough for what they would offer. We just weren't sure how it would really turn out. Still Maura responded to all of the e-mails I sent to her and when Adam was chosen as our MC she sent me an email to let me know he would be in touch. That evening I received a phone call phone him introducing himself. We scheduled a time to meet with him and discussed the music for the reception. He made suggestions for us and we listened to some song samples and when I finally emailed him our choices he responded to me right away.

On the day of our wedding the dance floor was packed the entire time! Everyone had a great time dancing to the music and even the oddest of requests (a polka) was played. Family who originally was upset we weren't having a band were very happy with the music selection as there was something for everyone! It really made the reception memorable and a great time!

Several of my girlfriends used Cutting Edge, and of all the DJs I looked at they seemed the most attentive to my ideas and wants. My MC guy was Marc and he called us a few times after our meeting with him to go over the details, just to make sure we didn't have any changes. Not only was he a good DJ but he was a great guy. I think I felt like he was a friend by the end of the reception, and my only regret is that we didn't let him sit down and eat with us.

The music was PERFECT! The dancefloor was full, and Marc and his assistant were the best.

After a friend booked Cutting Edge for her wedding and recommended them to me, we met with them and eventually booked them. We couldn't have made a better decision! Richie made our night so much fun! We met with him personally a few weeks before our wedding and went over music and songs we wanted and didn't want. He was so helpful and knew exactly what he was doing. At our reception at the Manor at Commonwealth, he knew just what to play to get everyone onto the dance floor and keep them there. It was packed all night. (Also packed at my friend's wedding a few weeks later, same friend who booked Richie first!) Everyone had such a blast. Richie helped to make our day even more special and perfect! We couldn't have asked for better! I would recommend Richie and Cutting Edge to anyone! Thanks for helping to make our wedding the best ever!

We cannot say enough about how happy we were with Cutting Edge Entertainment! Rich was available to us throughout the planning process and actually listened to what we had to say about how we wanted our reception to flow. EVERYONE was up on the dance floor all night, which was exactly what we wanted! Rich knew exactly what to play in order to cater to a wide array of age ranges and made the evening run as smoothly as possible. We highly recommend their services!

Cutting Edge provided us with an exceptional DJ. The dance floor was constantly filled. I've been to other weddings where the DJ played inappropriate music. You don't have this problem with these folks. They are very professional and will ensure you have an amazing time.
