Dad's Tacos and Burritos

Our event was not a wedding but a baby shower. The reason I'm listing my experience on this wedding website is I would hate for someone else to be victimized by Greg Olguin from Dad's Tacos and Burritos. My sister-n-law and wife secured them to cater our baby shower costing $540.00 for 2 hours of serve time including 3 meats (beef/asada, chicken/pollo, pork/al pastor) for 80 to 90 attendees but not to exceed 90. The overall experience and service was a disaster, their flour tortillas were moldy so they couldn't serve them. They limited our guests to 3 tacos for the initial serving with a dab of beans, dab of rice and deep fried tortilla chips. The 3 taco limit was a shock since this wasn't disclosed on the paperwork or at the time of the tasting. We had roughly 50 guests and not even half of the people went back for seconds because of their experience with 3 taco limit. It was apparent they were stretching the food. They actually ran out of corn tortillas during the second hour and my wife's sister had to get packages of her own corn tortillas to give to them. Also wanted to note, at the time of the tasting we noticed the corn tortillas were larger than usual and Greg confirmed those would be the size he'd use at our event but on the day of he switched to small corn tortillas. We also agreed there would be a choice of nachos, burritos, or tacos but this never happened. The paperwork clearly showed "buffet" and "taco bar" and at the time of the taste sampling Greg said he'd provide the 3 food options (nachos, burritos, tacos). At the end when his employees were collecting the balance I let them know the problems with our event and they got Greg on the phone. He was extremely defensive from the onset of the conversation and was outraged that I was implying he shorted the food. Greg wouldn't listen, kept interrupting me and tried to play down the issues explaining he's been 12 years in the industry and knows how to order enough food and has NEVER had an experience with running out of food. He also denied the agreement of providing 3 food options (nachos, burritos, tacos) and explained he stocked our event with 120 plates and all those plates were used therefore he provided more servings then contracted. His story and excused had so many holes, he began to contradict himself during his explanation, saying..."this isn't my 9 to 5 day job which seems to contradict his implied expertise via 12 years experience...moldy tortillas, I can't inspect every package of tortillas I get from Guerrero..." I hope this helps, please beware and if you choose to do business with this shady character then get everything in detailed writing.
