Elizabeth at Damselfly provided me with such a beautiful veil and gorgeous earrings. She was also happy to ship all the way to the UK, and her communications were prompt and really friendly. Now, do I get to buy a new veil for my first anniversary?
My jaw literally dropped when I received my veil today. It is just... stunning. Expertly crafted, amazing attention to detail, and perfect execution. The seller was extremely prompt with communication & shipping. Turn around time was also very fast. The thing that sets Elizabeth apart was that she clearly has a vast understanding of her craft and is able to offer expert advice on aspects that I had not previously thought of. I couldn't keep away, and ordered my bridal earrings through Damselfly Studio as well. The dangle is 2" long from the leverback finding, which has a 4 mm CZ. The finding is Sterling Silver. The beads are a stardust finish sterling, which have a really neat finish that almost looks like white gold.
I can't sing Elizabeth's praises enough. She is the single best seller on Etsy I've found (and I'm an Etsy junkie!). She has SO much talent, puts so much thought into her pieces, and really takes pride in her work. And it shows. I *highly* recommend you check out her shop if you are in need of wedding jewelry, hair accessories, veils... you name it!

I found Damselfly Studio on Etsy after my bridal salon quoted me and outrageous price for a chapel length veil. From her shop photos and descriptions, it looked like she had what I was looking for. I didn't know it then- but this shop was one of the luckiest finds during my wedding planning!
From the first time I contacted this seller- she was not only friendly and prompt, but she clearly knew what she was doing! We corresponded a few times so she had a good idea of what I had in mind (and suggested some fabulous things I hadn't thought of) and then she promptly sent me a swatch of the fabric so I could check it against the color of my dress. Perfect match!
My veil was completed very quickly, was 1/4 of the price I was quoted at my bridal boutique, all emails were answered promptly, and it was just a fun process having a custom made veil for my wedding. When it arrived at my house- I was so excited. But when I opened the package, my jaw literally dropped. This veil was the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen. It was so clearly designed and constructed with so much skill! I'm not typically one to ooze over this sort of thing, but oh- did I ooze. And on my wedding day when my mom put my veil on, I had people just ooh-ing and ahh-ing over it. Some of my wedding vendors said they'd never seen anything like it (and that's saying something!)
After ordering my veil I was so taken with this seller, that I ordered my wedding day earrings from her as well. Again, we discussed what I had in mind and she designed them to compliment my existing bracelet perfectly. They were exquisite! Again, the compliments flooded in.
I recommend this seller for any bride or bridal party member. Your purchase will far exceed what you can get elsewhere and at a fraction of the price!

Elizabeth Payne is a Central Pennsylvania native now living in Erie, PA. Her background is in Fashion History and Design. She formerly designed wedding gowns and formal wear in a home studio for about 10 years before entering
the world of retail bridal as a salon manager and buyer. Elizabeth saw that her customers were dissatisified with the "throw away" and "wear once" plastic pearl jewelry with a charm that was being sold at the

FAQ for Brides by Damselfly Studio
I also make fascinators and simple millinery, which may be appropriate for Bridesmaids and Mothers of the bride as well as the Bride. Appropriate lead time must be given in case there are special colors needed.
If possible, I like to have at least 6 weeks to design a custom headpiece.
How much time is needed for a custom Bridal Veil?
If I have the fabrics in house, I can make and ship in 7 days. Please allow 4 days shipping unless you would like an express shipping upgrade.
How much time is needed for a standard jewelry order? For a stock jewelry style, made from stock crystal colors and sizes, usually 1 week for a single item, 10 - 14 days for a group. If crystal needs to be ordered, then I may need up to 3 weeks for special colors of crystal, or special gemstones.

The prices underneath the thumbnails are what you would pay would you buy these pieces in a bridal salon. My price directly to you is much less! You can contact me either from the information given here, on that website, or through my Etsy shop. If you see something from the catalog site that you would like to order, we can work through Etsy and or PayPal for payment. PayPal provides secure payments, and is a free service for you. I'm the one that pays the fees!
How long should my bridal veil be? Your veil should fall to a flattering place on your body, and a flattering place on the detail of your dress. Usually, the top of the shoulders, bottom of the shoulderblades, fingertips, below the knee, chapel length (short train) and cathedral length (long train) are the common lengths. As your height varies, so does your veil. This is why having a custom veil can work better, it is custom made to suit your needs, rather than you having to depend on a one length fits all from the salon.
I do suggest that you pay attention to the back detail of your gown. You do not want the hemline of the veil interfering with any of the pretty back details of your wedding gown.
And with a shorter veil, you do not want to see a short path of skin between the veil and the top of the back of your dress. In pictures, it will look like a tan stripe.
How is my veil shipped? I fold my veils very carefully, with lots and lots of tissue to minimize wrinkles. They are shipped in a USPS Priority Mail box. I always send some sample tulle so that you can test your iron before doing any touch up pressing.
How is my headpiece shipped? I ship my headpieces in plastic presentation boxes, with tissue, or in a silk pouch. Hairpins and jewelry are shipped in a gift box. I use USPS Insured Priority Mail or First Class insured mail depending on the size of the package. Insurance is included in the shipping fees. Purchases $100 and over receive free shipping!
How is my jewelry shipped? Depending on the size of the order, your jewelry is shipped in a gift box, in a padded envelope, or if it s a group of jewelry, USPS Priority Mail

What Gemstones do you carry? I carry a selection of semi precious stones that relate to the most common colors of the ready to wear. Amethyst (purples, lavender), a variety of greens - Peridot, Aventurine, Prehnite; Aquas and teals - Chalcedony, Florite, Apatite, Moss Aquamarine: Blues: Iolite, Lapis, Chalcedony, Blue Lace Agate, Navy Goldstone, Sapphire; Reds and Pinks - Carnelian, Garnet, Rose Quartz, Pink Chalcedony, Pink Freshwater Pearl; Browns - Tigereye, Smokey Quartz, Ebony, Rust Goldstone; Whites - Rainbow Moonstone, Freshwater and Akoya Pearls; Black - Jet, Onyx, Obsidian, Gray Moonstone. Also available are a large variety of colors of Czech glass beads in a variety of finishes and colors. If we decide to work with those, I can send you pictures of the colors. I also carry interesting wood, shell (Abalone and Paua), and Pressed glass beads in floral and leaf shapes! My friends tease me that I have a bead store!!!
Do you accept returns? Only 21 days before the wedding date, or if there is a defect in the making of your piece. If a defect, I will repair, and return at no cost to you. There are no returns on custom designed items. During the custom design process, we do lots of talking. I send lots of pictures during the design process so that you know what you are going to receive. If you do not like your order, you can return for a credit towards another item in my store, if returned at least 21 days before wedding date. No returns or credits will be given after the wedding date. All returns receive a credit in my shop for jewelry items or design services.
