Dana Markos was incredible to work with! From the first meeting, we instantly felt comfortable with Dana and were excited that he understood the vision we had for our wedding day. We also loved how familiar Dana was with our venue. He was able to walk us through the space and offer many great suggestions. We were concerned that with our budget, we wouldn't be able to have the amazing arrangements we envisioned, but Dana was quick to work around it and reassured us that our flowers would be wonderful. When Dana showed up at the hotel with the bouquets, they were incredible. I instantly fell in love with my bouquet -- and the flowers for my girls were fantastic. They complimented the color of the girls' dresses and had the contrast we had talked about in our meetings. When my husband and I finally walked into our venue on our wedding day, it was everything we had imagined and more. The arrangements were spectacular and we received SO many compliments. We can't thank Dana and his team enough for making our dream a reality!

Sometimes what you envision for your daughter's wedding and the reality of the day do not match up. However, sometimes the reality far surpasses your imagination. This was the case for our daughter's wedding in Boston and their reception at the Crane Estate working with Dana Markos Events.
Dana's vision was "right on" and he captured not only all that we requested but carried our vision to the next level.

I absolutely adored working with Dana Markos and his team. I did not have strong ideas about what I wanted for my flowers, but during the first meeting my mom and I had with Dana, even before we decided to work together, he came up with several creative ideas that really resonated with us. In fact, we ened up using nearly all of his ideas from that first meeting in our wedding! He really took the time to get to know Aaron (my husband) and me, and to understand our style and vision so he could make recommendations that would truly reflect who we are. For example, in that first meeting, Dana learned that Aaron and I love nature and the outdoors, so he recommended that we use birch poles for our chuppah. We loved that natural but beautiful touch! He also recommended the perfect flower combination to complement my bridesmaids' dresses, and I never looked back. We were so impressed with his ideas and impeccable taste, and also with how responsive and flexible he was. He knew just the right times to offer his own opinions versus letting us make the decisions, and it worked out perfectly. Ultimately, it all comes down to the final result, and we could not have been happier. My bouquet was breath-taking – just the perfect blend of fall colors that I’d hoped for. The striking orange cala lilies for the bridesmaids’ bouquets were absolutely gorgeous (and matched the groomsmen’s boutenirs perfectly!), the chuppah was the perfect blend of colorful and understated, with bright flowers wrapped around the birch poles. And the flowers on the dinner tables just perfectly completed the look. Dana also coordinated with the lighting vendors, which helped a lot. All in all, we were thrilled with the work Dana did. He was the ultimate professional, incredibly creative, and just executed every last detail impeccably. We got so many compliments on our flowers – we’ll never forget the amazing work that Dana did, and I'd highly recommend him to anyone!!

I LOVED my flowers! Dana understood exactly what I wanted. I was overjoyed when I saw my beautiful bouquet on my wedding day. I got MANY compliments on my bouquet.

As soon as I started planning my wedding I began looking for an amazing florist. I interviewed 3 florists, and was unimpressed. Then someone gave me Dana's name, and the minute my mom and i met him, we knew he was our florist. His completely understood our vision, and his ideas added to the ones we had. He and his team incorporated our family traditions and all our special requests. Not only is Dana an incredible and talented florist, he is a great guy and now that my wedding is over, I miss working with him! The flowers were absolutely stunning, and people are still raving about them. Dana also did the flowers for my bridal shower, which was a tea party at the Boston Harbor Hotel, and they were beautiful. My wedding flowers were breathtaking, and I would use Dana again in a heartbeat. I have never seen such a gorgeous flower display at any wedding. Dana Markos (Dana Markos events) is the best florist I could have ever imagined. I’ll be honest - flowers were the probably the thing I was most nervous about. I didn’t know a lot about flowers, and I was pretty indecisive about what I wanted, yet I knew they had to be perfect! Our first meeting with Dana was wonderful. A big brainstorming session where we looked at images together, but also talked about style and feel. Dana asked to look at a photo of my dress as part of our brainstorming. He gave me things to think about, and when we met the second time, I had a better idea of what I wanted. I was able to tell him what I liked that he had suggested, and what I wanted different, and he seemed to understand exactly the direction I was going. I was still nervous headed into the big day - My best friend had told me that at her wedding, her only regret was that she didn’t love her bouquet, and she wished she had said something, and seen if the florist could do anything about it at the last minute. So I asked Dana, promising I would not be ridiculous, but if, on the day, I wanted something adjusted just a little bit, would he be able to do it? And he said, yes - no problem. I want you to love it. Well when Dana came and presented me with my bouquet - I was speechless. It made me cry it was so beautiful and so perfect. It was better than I could have ever imagined. His artistry was just amazing. I couldn’t believe I was moved to tears by flowers, but I was. The bridesmaids bouquets were gorgeous as well, perfectly tying in the two colors (pale yellow and wine) we were using for the wedding party. As the day went on, all the other floral aspects were amazing. Pew decorations that were repurposed for cocktail tables and gorgeous centerpieces that everyone admired. Dana Markos was awesome. I highly recommend him for your wedding day!

We cannot say enough about Dana and his flowers! Our wedding would not have been complete without his beautiful masterpieces and his attention to detail. He added his own personal touch to our wedding and it could not have been more perfect! We highly recommend Dana!!!

While a picture is worth a thousand words in most cases, it's not true here. Even if I attached photos of the magnificent floral arrangements Dana Markos provided for my daughter's wedding, it would not tell the whole story. Dana was everything the mother of the bride (and the bride) could wish for: responsive, professional, creative, funny, flexible, sensitive, but above all, he listened and gave us what we wanted, even though through most of the process we weren't even sure what that was. It didn't matter because he did. Did I mention he is a marvelous human being? And the bouquet was so beautiful it will be in our dreams for a lifetime!

Dana Markos was absolutely amazing in every way! I went into planning this wedding having a vision of what I wanted. However, I had no clue about flowers, table settings, lighting and basically anything else it takes to make that vision real. Well, Dana completely understood what I was envisioning. After meeting with him for the first time, I felt completely relaxed and comfortable. He took my vision and made it a reality. He made my wedding day everything I had hoped for! He went above and beyond, helping my mom and I with every question we had, whether it was regarding flowers or not. I can not express the feeling I had when I saw the ballroom I got married in. The ceremony flowers & candles were breathtaking, it literally brought me to tears. When the ceremony was over and I walked into the transformed ballroom where the reception was taking place, it was the most beautiful room I had ever seen. He made my dream wedding come true and I will be forever grateful for Dana making my wedding the most amazing day of my life.

Working with Dana and his team for our wedding was a dream come true. He asked us to describe in a few words the feeling we were going for with our wedding. We described it as natural, family oriented and loving. Dana turned those words into a magical creation of mother nature and elegance that we would never have imagined. Amazing!!! For all brides who dream of the perfect wedding day, Dana Markos is the one. Dana was referred by a friend, and from the time we met, I never looked back. We met for coffee to go over details and he even drove a long distance with me to check out the venue. He listens and truly cares about making your wedding day the day you always dreamed of. The flowers on our wedding day were incredible(more than we ever asked for) . Throughout the night, guests were commenting on how beautiful our centerpieces, bouquets, etc. were. Dana makes every bride feel special and I would recommend him to anyone. Most importantly, Dana is willing to work with you on budget, but still ensure your flowers are exactly what you want. Dana and his team were amazing - My wedding was absolutely beautiful. I was very specific about what I didn't want but not necessarily as great at articulating what I did want. Or so I thought...Either I did better than I thought or Dana is a mind reader-- or just VERY VERY good at decorating, because down to the smallest detail my wedding was gorgeous. It also felt very me. I don't like wedding-y things. My wedding was classy and beautiful. Even better, the room (basically a fancy conference room) was TRANSFORMED! I couldn't have asked for more. I wish I could post pictures. I'll make sure he gets some for his website because that's all you need to convince you. Plus Dana is a great all around person, answers calls quickly and totally makes you feel like you couldn't be in better hands, which is awesome when you are juggling the stresses of a wedding.

I'd also like to add that Dana drove out to our venue twice before the day of the event so that he would have a sense of it. It was hours away from where he lives. What amazing dedication!! And it paid off.

I can't possibly say enough about Dana. He was able to help me put the completely unorganized and sometimes conflicting ideas I had into something cohesive, creative, and absolutely beautiful. It was more than I ever could have asked for or imagined. You could tell just how much care and attention was put into each item. It was all perfect.

My mother saw Dana Markos a year before I was engaged and was so impressed with his work and personality; she kept his business card, knowing that he would be the one she would want to use for my wedding someday. Dana was truly a pleasure to work with. He is a genuinely caring individual who not only helped us all with the flowers and decorating, but provided true heartfelt support for my mother, trying to go through the crazy, stressful, emotional process of planning a wedding without my father, who we lost 4 years ago. I loved working with Dan Markos on my wedding. My fiance and I had a very specific ideas and wanted an old world Mediterranean look with eclectic and vintage elements, not an easy look to achieve! Dana understood our inspiration right away and executed everything flawlessly. The centerpieces were an amazing conversation starter as each one was a different collection of vintage bottles and vases. I received so many compliments on the flowers both at the reception and at the church....not to mention my extravagant bouquet! Also the linens he suggested pulled everything together and gave the room a rich luxurious feel. We were married in January so we were very concerned about a cold feeling and we wanted to ensure the room look warm, cozy and inviting. Moreover this whole process was made so easy due to Dana's professionalism and creativity. I strongly recommend Dana to any bride. I was thrilled to see the decor at our event and even now as I go through the photos I still see details I missed on the day. Thank you for the amazing job!

I really enjoyed working with Dana and his team. When I met Dana and described to him what I envisioned for the wedding day, he got it right away - and perfectly. He did a fabulous job for both the wedding and my bridal shower. He has impeccable taste and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Working with Dana on planning our event all the way through to the details he perfected on the day of was a true delight. Dana has an incredible eye for detail and sense of occasion; he is a great listener and works above and beyond to deliver on every aspect of the day (or in our case, multi-day event).

We were planning our wedding remotely and Dana and his team provided a truly amazing level of on the ground services and support for us as we tried to put together an event in Massachusetts from our home in California. Dana provided overall wedding planning services, as well as sourcing and coordinating event rentals, managing all decor brilliance (truly, the flowers and fell were spectacular) as well as day of event set up and across the board coordination (spanning the rehearsal dinner, as well as ceremony and wedding reception). Dana provided his own spectacular flower arrangements for all events. Among many gorgeous touches (dramatic centerpieces, gorgeous flower arrangements evoking a natural outdoor landscape in the church), he created the bridal bouquet I had dreamt of - paying homage to my grandmother's bridal bouquet but with a fresh, timeless brilliance.

My husband and I couldn't have enjoyed the process of working with Dana and his team more, nor could we have been happier with the outcome. Dana has an incredible ability to listen to exactly what you have in mind, and to be creative in finding ways to deliver that vision, and then going to great lengths to make that a reality on the day.

A few examples where Dana went above and beyond: I had my heart set on particular rare style of champagne flutes to be used for our first toast, but they were very hard to find. Dana and his team searched high and low, country-wide, and evenutally found a great option that we used. Another example: at the last minute, we decided to increase the number of outdoor heaters at our event - Dana was able to organize these, assemble them and get them going with less than 12 hours notice. Working with Dana and his team was at every moment a joy and a part of our wedding weekend and wedding planning experience that I treasure.

While I will never plan another wedding (at least, not my own) - I hope I will have the occasion to work with Dana and his skilled team on another event in the near future.

Dana was such a joy to communicate with and his work speaks for itself. He transformed our library space into a magical place! The colors were exactly what I'd envisioned and he captured the vibe I was looking to produce precisely. His creativity is endless! Dana, Thank you for the fabulous flowers and chupah that you created for my wedding! Being in the wedding industry, I had a plethora of florist to choose from. Of course, I wanted the best! I choose Dana not only because I have seen his work but also because I knew that he was the ultimate professional. You can trust in Dana he will take your likes and maybe dislikes and create something far better than you could have ever imagined! His work is superior and unique! I got engaged in mid May of this year and our wedding was September 5th. Needless to say, time was of the essence. I contacted Dana Markos on a weekday around 9 or 10 pm and left a brief email. I had been emailing and calling potential vendors and most get back within a day or two. Well, Dana emailed me right back and we set up a time to meet right then. My final email to him that night was something on the lines of "I can't believe you got right back to me so late!". His response was " I'm always working, plus, the celtics are on". I liked him right away.
From there , it just got better. I knew someone who had worked with him for their wedding and she had told me " he exceeded my expectations" and I thought "blah blah blah". Nobody is that good. Fast forward 4 months, I am now married and one of those people who say "he exceeded my expectations".
I am still blown away by the attention to detail and the care & attention he gave us during the planning and on the day of. I have to admit, I am a cynic and it takes a lot to really get me....... Dana went above & beyond what I even thought I wanted.
We never intended to have a "wedding planner" either. Dana was just in our heads as the florist but by the 4th meeting, my hubby to be wanted him to take over the whole thing. I can tell you our wedding would not have been as incredible as it was had Dana not been involved. I could really go on & on here. To sum it up, Dana really put our head & heart at ease. Planning can be stressful and when it came down to it, he took it away and made our big day just perfect.

My husband and I (and ALL of our guests) were absolutely blown away by the design you brought to both our wedding ceremony and the reception at the residence of my husband's family following the exchange of our vows. There are so many words that describe the ambiance you created for our wedding day, but two really come to mind more than anything: romance and elegance. We knew from the moment that we met you in Ipswich that you had a pulse on what we wanted to create and you not only interpreted our vision - you made it even better than we could have imagined. We wanted to create an environment for our guests that combined all of the rustic elements of Squam Lake, New Hampshire with an elegant atmosphere....you made that happen. Thank you! Thank you! Dana reallly did take our vision and transform a tennis court into a gorgeous tent where our reception was held. Our centerpieces were stunning, the trees INSIDE the tent were beautiful and the entrance to the tent was fabulous! Thank you for listening to us when we said we wanted to preserve the natural beauty that surrounded my husband's family home and only add to it in ways that would create warmth and richness. You are THE BEST and we cannot thank you enough!

Where to begin! First and foremost, the flowers were simply stunning. Exactly what I wanted and was unable to articulate, Dana read my mind. I have received nothing but raves and compliments and guests were even taking pictures of the centerpieces and fighting over who got to take them home! In addition, the larger pieces simply made the room where we ended up having the ceremony. Dana's hard work and beautiful eye made the room glow. With the rain beating down and the candles flickering, he managed to create a haunting and romantic setting - more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. And even more, Dana's poise and kindness (and last minute flexibility!!) made working with him a true pleasure I will never forget.

From our first meeting, Dana and I were in sync! He knew exactly what I wanted, and went above and beyond. He gave amazing advice and ideas, and turned my vision into a reality! The Church was spectacular!!!! It was exactly what I wanted, it really set the tone for the entire evening. When my husband and I walked into our reception... we had no words!!!! It was magnificant. I sat down with Dana and gave him a pretty vague idea of what I wanted in terms of colors and flowers, but I really tried to let him go when it came to the final decor and style. I was extremely pleased with how my flowers turned out! Everything was absolutely gorgeous and the colors he chose really POPPED on camera. I trusted Dana because he was extremely professional and experienced, and clearly has an artistic eye.

I met with Dana and briefly described what my vision for my wedding was. He understood immediately and turned my vision into a reality. Dana is extremely organized as well, and contacted me every step of the way to make sure everything was in place in time for the wedding. Even more important than how beautiful it was, Dana swooped in and saved my wedding at the very last minute when my original florist had to cancel. While I had a small idea of what I wanted my wedding to look like, his vision came instinctively and he made it come to life. Dana did a wonderful job with the flowers for our wedding. He met with us multiple times before the wedding day to make sure that the flowers would be perfect, and even came to tour the ceremony venue with us. The flower arrangements were gorgeous & colorful. He is very easy to work with & has a great artistic sensibility.
