We met with several photographers leading up to our wedding, but Daniel beat them all by a long stretch. Dan is an artist. He knows how to capture the important moments and how to make them beautiful. He pays attention to the details and brings the story of the day to life. Most importantly for me, he is passionate about what he does. He has all the technical knowledge, but this is a labor of love for him and it shows in his work. Impecable and amazing. 5 stars all the way.

Daniel is an exceptional photographer and working with him and his company was the most positive vendor experience I had throughout the entire wedding process. When I met Dan a year ago, I immediately liked his work but more importantly his spirit and personality. I wanted my shots to have candids and show moods, emotion and feeling with less posed/formal cookie cutter shots. Dan had a great/balanced amount of photo-journalistic and creative shots for both the engagement session and the wedding. I’ve had numerous people ask about our photographer for their future events and our photos were featured on two different publications.

Clearly when you check Dan’s website you can tell that he has perfected his craft, but it's also important to take into account WORKING with him:
1- Dan made our engagement session fun and carefree. It also gave us a better sense of his personality and style prior to the Big Day. Being a little over-ambitious about the number of locations in NYC that I wanted to take shots (and a clothing change mid-way), Dan was very patient and accommodating
2- The Day of the wedding, it down-poured (unexpected thanks to the weatherman); Dan helped gauge whether or not we should still try for outside/walked the grounds to see what areas we could still get some shots in and we made it happen (you'd never know from the pics that we had had such bad luck)
3- After the wedding, Dan sent me the link to a “Flaunt” page - This was an easy way to share my photos with families in a professional way rather than having to upload them to a 3rd party website.
4- The quality of the Save the Dates and Thank You Cards that Dan created stood out
5- The Photo Albums process was very simple. Less than a week after picking our photos, he sent us website that showed all of the photos in the exact design/layout the actual album would have. It also had areas for us to make comments and changes.

Dan was amazing! He not only provided us with beautiful photos, which completely captured the day and all the emotions surrounding it, but he was professional and made us feel completely comfortable.

The end output was everything we asked for, they were candid and we really saw our personalities come through in the photos. After viewing my photo album my bridesmaid asked for Dan's info for her wedding because they were so great!

Every step of the way he was totally helpful, flexible and supportive. We always knew we were in good hands. Even down to the smallest touches he was all over it - we even got a Starbucks gift card from him a week before the wedding, which just added those personal touches that let us know he was thinking about us and our big day.

I HIGHLY recommend Dan. I cannot say enough great things about him and how much we love our photos!

Dan was wonderful to work with. If you are thinking about meeting with him, do not hesitate! From the first time I saw his work (an acquaintance of mine had used him previously), I knew I wanted to meet with him. From the first time, we met with him, I knew I wanted to book him as our wedding photographer. He was a pleasure to work with form start to finish. As soon as we met with him, we felt immediately comfortable and felt he had a great personality. This was something that was important to us in a photographer, other than the quality of his work, because on the day of, you spend so much time with your photographer, more so than any other vendor. Throughout the entire planning process, Dan was always responsive to our concerns and questions. He's flexible in setting up meetings with you and takes all your wants into consideration. He was the first photographer we met with and we were really uneducated in the world of wedding photography at the time, but Dan did not take advantage of that and instead provided us with honest opinions and information. The day of he was so professional, flexible, and easy to work with. He made sure to get all of the shots we requested and at the reception him and his other photographer made sure to be accessible for any picture we wanted. When the skies opened up during our photo session, he was able to find new locations on the spot, and that was with me telling him I hated the lobby and didn't want to use it for pictures. Later on, when the sun came back out, he was able to pull us outside to get some shots by the fountains that I had originally wanted. He got them done quickly so we didn't miss too much of our wedding. All of our pictures came out beautifully! For a bride that is incredibly critical of pictures, I can honestly say I am in love with my wedding photos. We have received so many compliments and I have recommended Dan to numerous people already, and will gladly continue to do so!

My husband and I had the pleasure to work with Daniel J Photography for our October 2011 wedding, and we could not have been happier with our decision. From our very first consultation with Dan in February, when he was kind enough to customize a package to suit our needs and wants, to his coverage of our wedding day last month, Chris and I were very pleased. Dan brings a level of professionalism, artistry, and genuine care and warmth to his work.

On our wedding day, he managed to put everyone in the wedding party at ease as he worked. He captured all of the shots and moments on our "wish list." He was, by far, the best vendor we worked with during the wedding process.

And his final photographs were absolutely stunning. He even put together a slideshow of the "best of the best" of our photos with our wedding song as the soundtrack - above and beyond our expectations, and so very thoughtful of him! We will definitely reccommend him to all of our family and friends in the future - he was an absolute pleasure to work with!

I have a strong passion for photography, so I knew that I wanted the very best for my wedding photos. All of the time and money that you spend in planning your wedding comes down to just a few very important hours on your wedding day. The photos of your wedding might be the most important - you need someone to capture those moments to remember forever! After an exhaustive search of photographers in the area, I found Dan's website and instantly loved his work. His mix of photo-journalistic style and great eye for composure was a perfect fit for us.

We first met Dan over coffee to discuss his experience and to see some more of his work. We talked with Dan for about an hour and found some packages that worked well with our expectations and our budget. As my fiance and I walked out the door to leave, we both turned to each other and at the same time said that he was the photographer for our wedding. His personality allowed us to instantly connect with him and very much put us at ease. He was very thorough with describing what to expect for our wedding day and what he would be doing.

We had Dan do an engagement session for us, and we were absolutely floored with the photos. Our shoot was in downtown Philadelphia and they came out amazing. We received so many complements from our friends and family. Our wedding photos became available a couple of weeks ago and we really could not be happier. The day was beautiful and Dan captured it perfectly. My wife and I are so thankful that we found Dan and that we now have photos to look back on for the rest of our lives.

Where to start? Dan was great to work with from day one - planning was a breeze, and we were able to lay out exactly what we were looking for and he was totally receptive to everything we requested. He spent some time to get to know us, which was really nice - with all the craziness of planning, it was great to not have to worry about pictures - we felt like we were in great hands from the get-go.

The wedding itself was so smooth-we got all of the family and bridal party shots we were looking for without spending half the day posing and missing out on the fun. During the ceremony and reception we barely noticed he was there, but he certainly was, capturing every great moment of the day and night! He and his wife (his second photographer) were totally professional, courteous, and easy-going. The whole experience was awesome...

They really seem to tell the story of the day. Looking through our proofs felt like reliving the event from every angle, being everywhere and seeing everyone at once. Daniel's work behind the lens is simply speculator. Dan was able to experience our wedding and capture not just images, but the feeling, essence, and emotion of our day.

Dan is an amazing photographer and has a wonderful personality. I remember when we first met him to learn of his services, we walked out of the meeting feeling like we had just had coffee with a long time friend. We loved his work product and his flexibity in offering us what we needed. Dan did our engagement pictures, our wedding day, and a "trash the dress" photo session. All three occasions he captured some wonderful shots of us. Everytime we show our photos to family and friends we get nothing but great compliments about our pictures. On our wedding day our bridal party and family loved interacting with Dan and his assistant throughout the day. We had guests from our wedding compliment us on our photographer and how open he was to taking pictures at the table upon request. We would and have recommended Dan to other couples we know are getting married. We've also decided on having Dan be our family photographer for futures events. I heard about Dan from a close friend that had recently used him as her wedding photographer. She raved about him, and with good reason - As soon as she sent me the link to her wedding pictures, my search ended. I had found my photographer! Dan takes GORGEOUS pictures. His work is so artistic and is at a different level than any other photographer we had viewed before him. Also, working with him was so easy. He is a really nice guy that took the time to get to know us, and really seemed interested in making sure everything was perfect for our day. When i was planning my wedding I knew that one thing i wanted and couldn't go without. An artistic eye and beautiful pictures to cherish for years to come. Dan walked into my barbershop needing a haircut. What I didn't know was that i NEEDED him! He gave me his card on his departure and as soon as he left I loaded up his website and fell in love with all the moments he captured for others. Dan was interested in my handmade wedding and loved hearing all the details that went with it. I did have some points of interest that I wanted but I mainly left it up to his own creative mind to the work. I was extremely pleased with how it all turned out. Thank you Daniel J Photography! You are absolutely wonderful! My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dan and our experience. Dan is incredibly talented, creative, and imaginative. He's also very funny, kind, and respectful. (As a bonus he's great with kids!)

Dan never intruded or interrupted the personal moments, and yet, we have them to cherish forever. Dan is "the man" when it comes to "invisibility," especially during a religious ceremony. No one saw him but he caught every little glance and each "I do." Dan went to some incredible lengths to capture each of those special and intimate moments. My husband and I witnessed him climb on bridges, stand in a stream, stand on chairs, and climb rickety balconies to get "the shot." (I'm sure he was in other crazy places that we didn't see!)

Since I was a control freak, perfectionist seeking, hard to please bride I insisted to my groom that we get the right photographer for our special day. As I was told by well meaning friends and various wedding web sites, you had to have the right photographer so you could relive your day via your wedding day photos since the actual day flies by so fast. Well, I can not tell you how right they were and how pleased we were that we didn't just get the right photographer, we got the greatest photographer we could have gotten for our most special day!

Dan does incredible work, he completely exceed all of our expectations, both with his approach as an unobtrusive photojournalist when taking our pictures and with the photos themselves. Normally we do not like pictures to be taken but Dan put us so at ease that even the formal photo part of the day went smoothly for us.

Our guests, the priest that performed our ceremony, and even the wedding coordinator at our venue (yes, we showed them all our photos) told us how impressed they were with Dan's interactions on our wedding day and how amazing our photos were. Since there were so many incredible shots taken we, and our parents, had a difficult time picking out the exact photos that would be a part of our albums and Dan was even a big help to us with that.

We just can't say enough how pleased we were with Daniel J Photography, truly we wish we could hire Dan to photograph all of our family's special occasions!

Daniel was very easy to work with. Even with all the craziness of planning the wedding I looked forward to meeting with Dan. As soon as I hear a friend is engaged I give them Dan's name & website. He is great to work with and his photography is incredible!

When I was getting married earlier this year, picking the right wedding photographer was very important to me. I did not want ordinary pictures that anyone with a camera can take. I was looking for a photographer who had the right artistic perspective and who really took the time to make an event relivable through pictures. Daniel J was one of the first photographers that we met and we liked him instantly. He is incredibly easy to get along with, very friendly, and very helpful in customizing a package that meets your budget. After meeting him we met several other, very popular photographers to make sure that we did our homework, but none matched the picture quality and overall likeability of Daniel.

We could not have made a better choice. On the day of the wedding Daniel and his assistant capture everything in a very unobtrusive manner. For the formal shots, which are never fun, he gets them done efficiently. Our pictures/album is far and away the best out of any that I have seen. When I first saw them in a customly created online slideshow that he made, I didn't even believe they were me. It looked like something straight out of a wedding magazine or advertisement.

Daniel is relatively new to the area, but in my opinion, should be the go to guy for wedding photography.

When we got married in New Jersey, we were faced with the challenge of finding west coast aesthetic and artistic sensibility in a sea of pre-packaged, formulaic wedding services. Dan's portfolio broke through with a unique and creative style that we truly couldn't find anywhere. His calm demeanor put us at ease, and his high standards for a customized album gave us confidence. Providing creative ideas during the walk-through, Dan inspired our trust in both his 'eye,' and ability to work with us and our guests to get the best shots possible. When time for the wedding, we were thrilled with his un-intrusive yet active participation. (He even brought his wife along as a second photographer, as a value add!) We are thrilled with our photos, to this day. We recommend Dan for those who want to see their experience reflected in beautiful representations that capture the style and mood of the couple and event.

We used Daniel J Photography for our wedding and could not have been more pleased with Dan and his work. I was a pretty hands off bride, planning my NJ wedding while living in Ohio, and really wanted professionals who I could trust to do their job without me breathing down their neck. I felt like Dan did just that, adapting to my "bridal personality" perfectly. I explained to him that I didn't want to sit and pose for photos all day, I wanted to capture moments because those were the photos that would ultimately be important to me. My photos are natural, unique, and exquisite, and Dan did not miss capturing a single moment of our day with an artistic eye. He was very flexible on the package, too, since we did not do engagement photos, he came and photographed our rehearsal dinner! My sister is getting married this year and didn't even bother looking for a different photographer.

A word of advice for engaged couples: Your wedding lasts a day and the photos last a lifetime, so don't skimp on your photographer and do your research. After all the planning and hype of the day, they are all you have left to remember the day.

When planning our wedding we must have met with 10 different photographers before we met with Dan. Once we met him and saw his work we knew we had to book him. We LOVED our engagement photos and our wedding photos! We couldn't be more happy! Dan is friendly, professional and is extremely talented. He captured moments that no one else saw that made our wedding day unforgettable! Absolutely the best photographer in the area!!!

Dan is AWESOME. We found him looking through wedding websites and his website. We instantly connected when we met and his relaxed style and fresh vision were exactly what we were looking for. Our pictures came promptly and every one of them is beautiful! My friends were very impressed and couldn't stop raving about the great shots he took. He captured the details of the day in a photojournalist style and featured his favorites in a slideshow that we were able to email to family and friends.

I am a huge picture person so for me the pictures were the most important part of our wedding day. I put a lot of time and effort into researching photographers and then I came across Daniel J Photography on a wedding website. I took one look at his picutres and I knew he was the photographer for us so I contacted him. He was extremely professional but also very friendly. We felt comfortable with him. He was very accomadating and in comparison to other photographers we got so much more for our money. All of our pictures came out beautiful and our wedding album is AMAZING!!! I've seen many wedding albums but I haven't seen one that can compare to ours. I have been recommending Dan to anyone I know getting married and I will continue to do so. He is a wonderful and gifted photographer and an all around nice guy.
