Picking the photographer was the only real assignment my now wife gave to me, but we both agreed it was the most important vendor. I spent hours and hours looking at photographers and their styles online. At one point I had a spreadsheet with about 50 photographers rated and profiled. After figuring out exactly the style we were interested in, I narrowed it down to three to meet and get pricing from, and Daniela Hood was at the top of my list based on the albums on her website. She wasn't as well known as some of the other photographers we met with, but her pictures spoke for themselves, and we figured she'd be one of the most expensive (she wasn't at all). After meeting with photographers, Daniela's personality was our favorite, and her pricing was really reasonable and fair. It was the easiest decision because we liked her photos the best too, and we are thrilled we picked her. She has a very artistic documentary style that tells the story of your entire wedding day, so you can remember it forever. Her photos of us were just as beautiful as the albums she has on her website, if not more so. We took photos on Lasalle Street, in a small park next to the Art Museum, and then at the Museum of Contemporary Art where our ceremony and reception were. They were all amazing, and she made it really easy to be natural in front of the camera. Instead of feeling uncomfortable or like we were posing, she had us be natural (and kiss a lot :-) After 3 hours of photos around town (our choice) we were still relaxed and happy, and ready to be married. We would recommend Daniela as a better alternative to the expensive well-known studious with high priced photographers. Daniela is better.

The bride/groom had to reschedule the engagement shot twice because of a move and a death in the family, Daniela was very understanding. The engagement pictures turned out beautifully! Can't wait to see the wedding pictures!

Daniela is wonderful to work with. She is very responsive and very kind. Her pictures are beautiful and she is a pleasure on the day of the wedding. She took pictures of so many things we did not even have a chance to see. We recommend her 100%.

We can't say enough about our wedding photographs ... they are simply stunning!!! Daniela flew all the way from Chicago to Maui to help capture our wonderful day and she did it with the true eye of an artist. We are wedding photographers ourselves by profession, so obviously this was not a light choice for us. It was a difficult thought to give up control and let someone else capture the day, but with our choice of Daniela we never once worried, knowing that she would capture every moment and detail in the same fashion we would! For us - obviously - photography was the MOST important part of our wedding day and there is no one else we would have trusted it to. We highly recommend Daniela Cardili - she is amazing!!

Daniela is a very talented and professional photographer. She did everything she could to ensure a seamless wedding experience: She creates a calming environment so that the bride and groom are comfortable, she has an incredible portfolio, she visited all locations that were discussed for photography prior to the wedding day, and she was on time and stayed beyond the time she was contracted for her work. The photos Daniela and her assistant took were fantastic and it was very clear that a lot of effort was put into making every single photo as beautiful as possible. There are so many photos that my husband and I love that we can't possibly narrow it down to a favorite! All the walls of our home will be covered in them!

First, we would like to start with our engagement session that was included with our package and let everyone know how much fun it was! We didn't know what to expect, but Daniela was so amazing and positive that she really put us at ease, and above that, got us so excited for our wedding day with her!

After we got our absolutely amazing photos back, we ordered some and when we showed them to friends and family, everyone was blown away, saying how lucky we were to have such a great photographer.

The day of our wedding was the most memorable time of our lives and Daniela was able to capture every moment in all of her photos. She was non-intrusive, professional, and her personality blended very well with our wedding party. We would highly recommend her to anyone for any occasion, and plan to use her services in the future.
