Our wedding is in October '09 and I am thrilled to have Dave as our photographer! We met him at his charming home/studio for the consultation. He happily agreed to hold the date for us while we interviewed other photographers and would let us know if someone else asked for our date. No one else compared to Dave's documentary style and easy-going personality. An engagement photo session on the beach is part of the package and he responds promptly to any questions we have. Of course, I will update this review once our engagement session takes place, but have no worries!

Working with Dave for my wedding was the by far the best decision I ever made! His pictures are beautiful and I will look at my engagement and wedding photos for years to come. He made both me and my husband very comfortable and he was not a pushy photographer nor was he intrusive on the day of the wedding, in fact we didn't even notice him there! I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a great photographer for any occasion. Many guests at my wedding were very impressed with all my pictures and they plan on keeping him in mind should they ever need a photographer in the future, my sister is using him for her wedding in July! Use Dave... you will not be disappointed! Thank you Dave and Sandy for everything!!!

Everything was fantastic with Dave Richards ! My photographer was so nice to work with and really helped guide us all day. She stayed until the end of the night and we are very pleased with how the pictures and the album turned out.

I loved Dave as a photographer.

We did our engagement shoot at Disneyland, which as you can imagine we felt a little awkward at the beginning posing in front of the crowds but Dave did an excellent job making us feel comfortable. By the end of the shoot everything came really naturally and our photos turned our great. All of our shots looked so natural and he was really able to capture the realness of us.

On the day of our wedding, Dave was very prompt and easy to work with. He works with his fiancee as a second shooter. The two of them make an excellent team. Both are very professional yet personable.

I would highly recommend Dave as a photographer. I might even use him in the future for family portraits. :)

We looked at a lot of photographers in planning our wedding. Dave stuck out to us because you can tell he actually cared about us as clients as well as getting the best, most creative, and memorable shots possible. Our experience with Dave was extremely enjoyable and his style was not invasive or pushy. Plus his use of color and surroundings really made our photos pop from your average "formal" wedding photos and the all the colors add indescribable outcomes. I would recommend Dave to anyone in a heartbeat! Everything was extremely professional and we had the photos from our engagement and wedding in no time! Dave was such an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was always responsive (even to the most random questions), incredibly prompt, personable and easy to work with. Most importantly, he is an amazingly talented photographer and was able to capture the most beautiful and subtle shots that truly reflected our relationship. His style is very natural- without any distracting photoshop processing that many wedding photographers rely on these days. Every shot he's passed onto us has been flawless and gorgeous, and has been a true testament to his mastery of his art.

Our engagement shoot with Dave was the very first time either my fiancee or myself had be "photographed" in the formal sense, and he was patient and put us both at ease. Both friendly and professional, you can always be confident he knows what he's doing behind a camera.

On our wedding day, he was early to our venue to scope it out, did a wonderful job wrangling our families, and he was always open to my photo suggestions. He even set up a laptop at the reception so that guests could see pictures from earlier in the day, which was such a nice touch.

So far our preview shots have been stunning. He captured every lovely detail and our wedding looks even more beautiful than I remember it!

All in all, Dave was one of my favorite vendors. There are a lot of people out there claiming to be photographers, but he's the real deal.

After making the final deal with Dave we were so excited to take our engagement photos. At first we were extremely nervous because we had never done something like this before and we didn’t know what to expect. But from the minute we started to take the photos with Dave, he made us feel so comfortable and told us to act natural. At first it was weird but through his encouragement and positive attitude we had one of the best days ever! We were MORE than pleased with our photos and can’t stop raving about the amazing job Dave did to our friends and family. Our wedding is in June and we can’t wait to work with Dave again so he can capture the most important day of our lives.

My husband and I met with a number of photographers before meeting Dave. We knew our photographer would be an intimate part of our wedding day so we not only wanted someone that would take beautiful photos, but also someone that we would feel comfortable with. We knew we found the right person as soon as we met Dave. He understood all our ideas, has an amazing portfolio, and made us feel at ease instantly.
Dave took both our engagement and wedding pictures and we ended up with the best pictures possible! We didn’t notice him at the ceremony at all, but we have pictures from every angle. Dave is also very quick to respond to any phone calls or emails which helps any couple out immensely.

When I think about my wedding day I think about how fast that wonderful day went. All you have to remember from that day are the photo's that are taken. When choosing someone to photograph my wedding I wanted someone who I know could make me feel like I was there again every time I flipped through the pages of pictures. That is where Dave came in. He did that and so much more. His photos make the day come alive again and again. Not only are the beautiful there AMAZING!!. His talent for capturing all those special moments I cant even begin to put into words. My husband and I highly recommend Dave for your special day.

Dave did an outstanding job as our wedding photographer. He's professional, responds to emails quickly and is able to capture candid moments beautifully. We enjoyed working with him and we love our photos! Dave's photos capture who you are and the emotions shared by everyone present. They are amazing, so real and so full of life. With any event a photographer is the most important person you choose... especially your wedding! They are responsible for capturing every special moment so that they last forever to be shared on for generations. Dave did exactly that. He captured beautiful moments that we wanted and ones that were unexpected as well. We were given an abundance of pictures to choose from for our wedding album and picture frames. I look at the pictures today and can't believe it is my husband and I in them...they look like they were taken out of a magazine and placed in our wedding album. Dave was professional from beginning to end and very easy to work with. He was able to be in 2 places at once, or so it seemed! He answered all of our questions up front and made the process fun and easy. We got every picture we had requested he take and he was quick to suggest others that we now cherish. My husband and I agreed that the photographer is the most important vendor for a wedding, as he/she must capture and retain those memories that may fade with time. We found that perfect photographer -- Dave Richards -- and I could not be happier with our wedding photos, as well as the entire photo process. Dave made us feel at ease from the moment we met, and truly captured our style in the engagement and wedding photos. For a couple who feels very photogenic-challenged, we were amazed at how beautiful each picture came out. Dave Richards is the man. The best wedding photographer I have ever seen. The quality of the pictures and the price are unbeatable. After viewing our photos just about every one of our guests wanted too use Dave for some special occasion that was coming up. My sister was so impressed she is using him. The location where we got married is now using him for most of the weddings they do. Its just incredible how word of mouth works. All you really need to do is check out his website and look at his portfolio its beautiful. His artistic view on space, color lighting etc is remarkable. Dave Richards is the most amazing photographer. Both my brother and I used him for our weddings. I have heard nothing but rave reviews of our photos. It is not just the content that we love it is his style. He takes the most overdone wedding poses and makes them look like editorials from a bridal magazine. He is really professional but has the most welcoming personality. Through all of our conversations, the engagement shoot, to the wedding day, we had the best time working with Dave. I highly recommend him. In fact, it would be a shame if you did not use him.
