David Didio was an awesome wedding officiant. We got so many compliments on our ceremony. David helped us write our ceremony and revised it as many times as we wanted. He made our wedding day so special!

My fiance and I had put off choosing an officiant until the very last minute and despite only having approximately one week to put together a customized ceremony, David pulled it off marvelously.

We received countless compliments for our ceremony during the reception and no one could believe that he had only known us for a week or so prior to the ceremony.

David did an excellent job weaving our personal history into the ceremony as well as balancing the demands of an interfaith (Secular/Protestant) ceremony.

While his services are a bit pricier than the average NYC officiant, you'll get your money's worth.

Rev. David Didio was so warm and comforting that I felt like he was a friend who knew me and my husband, but yet very professional We worked together so well, and I was very comfortable with him. I am Catholic but am divorced with young children and could not get married in the Catholic church again, He made my ceremony Catholic and Church like for me, which made me and my family very happy.

David was amazing!

He really took the time to make our ceremony very personal and special. Very easy to work with, and most importantly really cared about our special day. I am still getting compliments from my guests on how great our ceremony was, it was the perfect balance of humor, spiritual and personal elements.

It was exactly what we asked for!

David wrote beautiful vows on our special day and made sure he added personal touches to them. We really appreciated that he took all the feedback from us and made our vows truly unique, especially adding significant moments that led to our marriage. We are truly grateful that he was part of our wedding!

What officiant services do you provide?

Civil Union, Interfaith Ceremony, Non-religious Ceremony, Single Religion Ceremony

Can you accommodate the hearing impaired?

Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site?

Yes

What is your attire for the ceremony?

Usually, a dark suit, unless there is a certain symbolic or meaningful attire that is preferred.

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?

Yes, always. You can write your own vows with or without my help, or leave it to me to help and make suggestions.

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?

Yes, always.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?

I have many selections from which to chose, religious, spiritual or non-spiritual, or you may suggest and use your own, or we may use a combination of the two.

How long are your ceremonies?

They can be very short and simple, or longer and more elaborate, as you prefer.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done?

No, but I do meet with the couple before we work together, and offer counseling as part of my services, if desired.

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?

Always open for discussion, as needed to make everyone comfortable, and ensure a smooth process.

Do you supply a sound system?

No.

Additional Advice

For couples who wish to have a small, private wedding, but want something more special than city hall, I offer a Champagne on The Park ceremony at my home overlooking Central Park in Manhattan.

This service can accommodate up to four people, including a photographer of your choice, and may be performed on the large terrace or indoors.

If you are coming to New York from out of town, or simply want to plan a honeymoon weekend, or few days, or just an evening of celebration, I am also able to connect you with a professional concierge service to take care of all your needs.
