David has a lot of creative ideas and is very nice. It was a pleasure working with such a nice and talented photographer.

David was suggested to us from fellow brides. I cannot thank them enough! We fired our original photographer and thankfully David was available. I've seen a few teasers and that was enough to solidify my insanely high opinion of him and his wife, Amy! David put up with my crazy emails and the day of, my mother with her own camera! He and Amy came over and went right to work. When I got the dress on, I panicked and got very nervous. He and Amy kicked everyone out and took pictures of just me and completely calmed me down. Amy and Dave's best friends were getting married the day of our wedding so Amy left after the first dance and they had asked another photographer, Joe, to work with them. Joe fit right in with our Italian families. He was with Jim and the guys before the ceremony and kept them laughing. He was a fantastic addition. I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of pictures that were taken. Even when our reception site did not have a table for them to sit at for dinner, they were completely relaxed about it (I on the other hand was horrible embarrassed!). I don't think I can express my thanks and appreciation to Dave, Amy and Joe for their work and I haven't even seen all the pictures! Dave has been so kind to us and even helped Jim out during his job search last fall. They are amazing! We are doing our Trash the Dress photo shoot with them on Sept 8th and we cannot wait for it! Highly recommended!

David and Amy are THE BEST!! They are a wonderful husband and wife team that work so well together and have SO much talent. We clicked with them immediately, they were the only photographers we met with and we knew they were the ones! They made us feel comfortable throughout the entire wedding process, from our mini-engagement session to the wedding day. They were never obtrusive, and were so flexible - they even toughed it out through the rain during our outdoor ceremony. They never once complained or lost enthusiasm for our big day. They put up with our families who wanted formal shots with every table and family at the wedding! David and Amy are a class act and totally exceeded all our expectations. My husband and I generally don’t like getting our photos taken. They made us feel sooo comfortable. Can’t believe Dave was rolling around in the grass trying to get the perfect shot. (We felt kind of guilty.)

I was very impressed with David Lau and his fiancee Amy. David was just beginning his wedding photography business, so his rate was very affordable for what we received in return. David and Amy showed up to the hotel early and was in the right places at the right times. I gave them creative freedom and I'm glad I did.They were unobtrusive- I hardly noticed them. They also captured all of the moments that were important. I was impressed at the details that they captured that are easily forgotten- the kids table decorations, placecards, etc. They had very inventive ideas about where to shoot and in what groups/combinations of people that I wouldn't have thought of. The background and lighting was beautiful. One of the best features was the fact that we were able to get a CD with the photos and the rights to reproduce the pictures. I would recommend this, because we were able to take all of our photos and email or make gifts/prints for our family and friends.

David and Amy were the perfect choice for photographers at our wedding. When we started looking for a photographer, we did what many of our friends did, we asked around to our married friends for recommendations. Most of these were local photographers, that didn't really meet our vision for our special day, especially in quality and passion of their work and the fact that we would be able to kept copies of our digital negatives. After so many disappointments, we met David and Amy. After being kind enough to meet at our house, we discovered that David and Amy were gonna be married in a few months and this make a big impact on our decision. We could see that they truly understood what we as a future bride and groom would want as the pictures of our wedding. Eventually we booked them to do our engagement pictures, which was a short session by our decision but was enough to truly see how fantastic David and Amy work really is. It brought my mom (groom) to tears as she thought that we looked like celebrities. During our wedding day, David and Amy were punctual, incredibly friendly, very accommodating we all special picture requests for our families and most of all extremely accurate at capturing the intimate and personal details our special day. Also we had a photo booth which David and Amy have as part of their services and everyone should definitely use it for their wedding. Those pictures are priceless and share moments what we never knew had happen in our wedding day. We got our proofs and photo album within the promised time and the quality of the work surpassed our wildest expectations. David and Amy has also been very kind in mentoring me with my new digital camera. If you're still looking for a photographer, look no further. David and Amy were absolutely amazing the day of our wedding. He was the first and ONLY photgrapher I looked at because his work truly speaks for itself. Not only was he professional throughout the whole process, he was a great addition to the wedding party mania with his sense of humor. Both him and Amy were able to get the shots they needed with all the craziness occurring.

All my photos came out beautiful and I've received tons of compliments for them. They were done and ready in a few short weeks and I was so pleased with the way they turned out. David and Amy are absolutely wonderful! We had already booked our wedding day photog, but were looking for someone for an engagement shoot, and we found David Lau Photography online. From the beginning, David was extremely easy to work with and very responsive. Although our e-shoot day was rainy and cold, David and Amy stayed flexible (even offering to change the date) and created a beautiful portfolio of shots for us. We had a bit of a time crunch, and they sent us all of our proofs, album, and enlargements within 2 weeks- incredible! Wedding planning can be stressful but our experience with David Lau Photography was nothing but pleasurable. I can't say enough good things about them- I highly recommend them!!!

We could not have been more pleased with the photography services provided by David Lau. He met with us numerous times before the date to discuss everything from style options to what to expect at the ceremony. At the wedding, David and his assistant (his wife Amy) did a great job of capturing the shots we wanted, and some he thought to get – which we loved! They were respectfully off to the side when we needed them to be, and they handled and directed a challenging wedding party very well. Afterward, our samples and previews were ready before we got back from our honeymoon. David met with us again to offer assistance with the album layout, and advise on different options. All in all, we got a terrific wedding album and a lot of wonderful photos for a very reasonable price, along with professional and dedicated service.

Words can not describe how ecstatic we are with David’s work. Unfortunately we didn’t not get to work with Amy on our wedding day because our wedding was on a Friday and I don’t think she works Friday weddings, but we did get to work with David’s friend Joe. (Amy did do our engagement shoot – they are the cutest couple and work wonderfully together!!!!)

From the second I looked at David’s website and blog I was hooked. His work is absolutely amazing! He was a pleasure to work with. He is not your “typical” wedding photographer I have been to many weddings and have looked at a lot of wedding pictures and I can say that David’s pictures always stand out. He truly has a style of his own and it’s amazing! My family didn’t even realize he was at the wedding – he captured every second of our day without being in the way. I have been to weddings before and the photographer always seems to be in the way following the happy couple around. David and Joe did NOT do this at all. When our family was looking through ALL our proofs (there were sooo many) they didn’t even realize some of the pictures he took. When you witness David working you can tell this is his passion – he will do whatever it takes to get the best shot… even if it’s going in a fountain or laying on the cold ground. David and Amy are definitely the team you have to hire if you want photographers that will treat your special day like a special day to them! David and Amy were wonderful. Photography was one of the most important aspects of the day. I wanted a photographer who captured candid emotion as well as traditional formals. David and Amy were very friendly, unobtrusive, never bossy, easy going, and very dependable (I think they have 2 GPS units going to make sure they are where they are supposed to be). I liked the idea of having a print of all of the shots, a CD archive from which to print additional shots, and a traditional wedding album. I was very pleased with my decision to have them as our photographers. I also think it is nice that they get to spend the weekends together at work.

I first met David Lau a few years ago when I was MC'ing the wedding reception of a friend of mine-- he was her wedding photographer and, after seeing her photos later, I was amazed.

When I finally got engaged, David was my first and ONLY pick for photographer! I showed my fiance his work and we both agreed that we had to have him-- he and his wife, Amy, did not disappoint!

I cannot express how phenomenal they are. In my opinion, their work leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. They are detail-oriented & punctual, covered all bases (especially ones my wife and I never would have even considered), were patient and flexible... But more than that, they are kind and friendly which, as couples grow more and more frantic, is something that you'll definitely appreciate!

They offer affordable packages and their creativity is pretty much boundless, which means that you're going to get some awe-inspiring shots and you may wonder how a photo of yourself actually looks as great as it does! :-)

Within a couple of weeks, he emailed us a link to view ALL of our photos online. We later got print-outs of all the pics, and all of the photos on CD. The album creation process was simple and seamless and we couldn't be happier.

By far my favorite wedding vendor. David and Amy are so talented and you should snag them before they are booked. Their pictures brought tears to my eyes and friends and family have been raving about their work since the day we received our pics. David and Amy Lau Photography was our favorite vendor. I lost count of the number of times I've told my husband that they need to hire me. Everyone was amazed with how well our engagment pictures came out.. We were so relaxed and at ease with them after the engagement session that I was even more excited to see the wedding pictures. They captured everything even stuff we didnt even know took place. Our problem now is deciding on 80 of them for the album. There is way to many good ones to choose from. They are both extremly professional and get everything done and sent to you very fast. I've recommend them already to friends and even strangers on the street. We heard about David Lau through my wife’s sister. She had booked him to do her wedding. When I saw her wedding pics, I thought they were from a magazine and that this could not be my wife’s sister’s wedding! They looked TOO good. Low and behold they were. We booked David immediately for our wedding. When we met David he knew exactly what we wanted and was great to talk to. He also cut to the chase and stated here is what he offers, this is what you want, and here is what we can do for each other.
Come wedding day, David and Joe fulfilled our expectations. They were willing to take numerous shots, used the area we had booked to help the pictures look great, and were always around, snapping away.
In the end, we received our pictures and couldn’t stop looking at them. We knew they’d be good, but David helped them look extra wonderful. I forgot most of my wedding, due to being a groom and running around, saying hello to everyone. The night went by so fast. But David’s pictures helped me remember a lot, and these pictures will help my wife and I remember what a beautiful day we had for years to come.

David and Amy were recommended to us by a mutual friend and when we saw their work, we were super interested. We decided to go meet them and right away, we felt comfortable around them. I really enjoyed that this was a husband and wife team, because I felt that 2 photographers were better than one and that they would be able to give us two different perspectives. We booked them right away for our wedding and we also booked them for our engagement shoot. David came with an assistant at the engagement shoot and it allowed us to get to know David better and joke around with him. During the shoot, you could really see the passion and dedication that David has to his work. He would even get down on his hands and knees, just to get the perfect shot!

During the wedding, both of them were professional and on top of their game. The final prints came in the time they said it would and they turned out GREAT! They really captured all the emotions throughout the day and the photos were creative and artistic. I have nothing but good reviews about David and Amy!! My wedding was just a few weeks ago and I have only great things to say about Dave and Amy. They were amazing!!! They made sure that they not only got every shot that my Husband and I requested, but all the important pictures as well. Any time we wanted a spontaneous picture taken, they were right there for us. They also allowed us to pick a park after the church ceremony to go to and take pictures before the reception. My Husband and I knew right away after our first consultaion with David Lau Photography that they were the ones, and were going to be great...and we were right! I strongly recommend this team!

My husband and I used David and Amy as both our wedding and trash the dress photographers. I can't say enough about them and their work. They were great to deal with on our wedding day and took some amazing photos. Our wedding was on the beach and they definitely utilized the scenery. Everyone that has seen our photos either on their website or from our wedding album can't believe how amazing the photos look. I have gotten so many compliments! Their style of photography is so unique and they captured many the perfect moments of the day. They captured so much emotion in each photo that we couldn't have asked for any different.

As for our Trash the Dress session, we went down the shore again for some photos that would never had been taken on the day of the reception; who wants a really wet dress?! Those photos too were gorgeous and my husband and I felt like models taking the photos. When we got those back, they too were so amazing! I have never felt so beautiful.

From the beginning David was timely with his response via email or telephone. He met us in our home for the pre-wedding meetings. Our wedding album and photos from the trash the dress session got to us very quickly and we never had one bad thing to say or problem.

I cannot say enough about David and Amy. I have reccommended them to everyone I know. We just welcomed a little boy into our lives and I would love to have them capture some of the moments we have ahead in our lives. They did an incredible job of telling the story of our wedding through photographs and would love to have them tell the story of our new family.

I absolutely adore David and his wife Amy. He is such a sweetheart and choosing him and Amy was the best choice I made about my wedding (6/4/06) aside from choosing my wonderful husband of course. They were there all day long and I could see that they were not simply doing a job; they genuinely cared about getting beautiful pictures of our wedding. This trait separates David and Amy from a lot of vendors, they are both absolute artists and their passion for their art is truly inspiring. Amy was actually more like my bridesmaid that day and helped me into my dress and calmed me down before the ceremony-something that no one in my actual bridal party was able to accomplish. I love her for this and am truly grateful for her thoughtfulness and kindness-she was in no way obligated to do any of this, she did it because she cared and wanted to help me. I must say that I was wonderfully surprised throughout the whole process by David and Amy's professionalism, talent, and wonderfully kind hearts. They were always timely to answer all of my questions and quell any of my neurotic concerns. I was completely wowed by the gorgeous pictures David and his wife took and continue to be blown away by the photos they take of my baby daughter. I would recommend them to anyone with absolutely zero reservations; they are fantastic and I am so extremely happy that I decided to use them as our wedding photographers.

David and Amy are great! Because they've been through the process pretty recently, he was very understanding and went out of his way to make our day very special. He agreed to look at sites for formal pictures because we were nervous about how they would photograph and when we were running late, even offered to pick my sister up from the train station! They arrived early at the site to help set up a photo booth and were genuinely excited to help with getting it going. He really went above and beyond to make the process very easy and the photos turned out so beautifully. They were very affordable, very professional, and we got our pictures back very soon after the honeymoon. David and Amy were wonderful photographers. David did our engagement session and was able to put my fiance, who does not like to pose for photos, at ease. He quickly sent over the images and book and they looked amazing! The photos from the wedding were also very beautiful (and i got to see a lot of the moments that I missed!) and when we got the hundreds of photos, it felt as if we were reliving the wedding again; they had captured every moment. The hardest part was probably winnowing the photos down to make an album, which Amy was able to do quickly and beautifully. All in all, they were our best vendor and I would highly recommend their services!

From the moment I saw David's work, I knew he had to photograph my wedding. He is truly gifted with the ability to capture a moment in time, forever. He took so many pictures that bring me back to that very moment the day of my wedding-something I have never experienced before. David is so funny, and his wife Amy is lovely. David Lau was a fantastic photographer. I would recomend in a second to any other brides. He has a truly amazing eye and all of his pictures are artistic and beautiful. He and his wife are a great team. They both were very prompt in returning any phone call or email. They were very open minded in the sense that they did whatever i asked of them. The year I got married, NJ was hit with the only hurricane on the very day we were married. So we had no outside shots at all. David contacted me half a year later and offered to retake some outdoor shots of me in my gown again and my husband in a tux. He did all of this free of charge. We spent the day in Princeton and he and his wife took several shots through out the university. I don't think there are many photographers that would do that for their clients. David and Amy are wonderful and I couldn't have been happier that I found them for my wedding. Any bride would be lucky to have their services.

David Lau is the most talented photographer that I have ever come across. His perspective on our wedding was truly amazing but at the same time, it was if he was invisible while he was taking the photos! One of my bridesmaids already booked him for her wedding in 2010! I cannot say enough fabulous things about the photos - but it must be obvious how beautifully out wedding was captured as it made it into The Knot magazine (all thanks to David). Our album is gorgeous, and exactly what I could've wished for. If we ever need a photographer again for photos of our new baby-to-be or for my sister or friends wedding, I would not hesitate one second to use David Lau Photography. I'd be too nervous to trust anyone else with taking photos of such an important event!

David and Amy were the clear choice for photographing our wedding. After seeing their website and the extraordinary photographs, and meeting with David, we didn't waste much time in booking with them. We are a laid back couple, and were distraught at the thought of having to do some of those silly poses you often see, but because of their expertise in photojournalism, they took so many natural (and beautiful) candid shots, and even the formal pictures looked gorgeous and depicted unique perspectives. Both David and Amy were so kind and had such a calming presence as I was getting ready (as a makeup artist, I did my own makeup and was completely at ease while applying my extra eyelashes!) and I think the relaxed atmosphere made for some great pictures. They were really on their game, and despite the over 100 degree heat of the day, they stayed motivated. Our photographs were top priority to us, and we couldn't have been happier that we chose David and Amy. David & his wife Amy were fabulous! I love my album & parents albums! I would absolutely recommend David to anyone. David and Amy's work speaks for itself, this much is obvious from the photos featured on their blog (webiste/ facebook page) but their professionalism and easy-going disposition is what truly makes them unique photographers. My husband has an acute sensitivity to camera flash and subsequently can't help but close his eyes when he detects the first part of the flash, so his eyes appear closed in about 95% of photographs (because of this sensitivity, my husband HATES posing for photos). If you can imagine, we were less than super-psyched to make David and Amy aware of this problem, as we thought it would be a source of frustration for them given the nature of their business. When we finally got around to telling them (about 1 month prior to our engagement session), not only did they not make a big deal out of it, they immediately started brainstorming possible ways to get around the problem (shooting from alternate angles, integrating distance, etc). My husband was so relieved but still not looking forward to our engagement session (like I said earlier, he HATES photos). You can imagine my surprise when we got in the car to drive home from the engagement session when he said... "That was fun, they're great." I owe it all to David and Amy. They had us cracking up all day and the wedding was the same. They really listen to what you want and execute perfectly. They're not cheap, but totally worth the investment, we LOVE our wedding photos!!! David and Amy are especially good at capturing the emotion of the moment in their candids, these are our favorites :)

Despite the sweltering heat during our wedding day, David and Amy were very patient and professional. They were so pleasant to work with and the quality of the photos were phenomenal. My wife and I highly recommend them.

David and Amy did an amazing job on all our photo sessions. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, give us everything we asked for and more, and gave us unbelievable pictures that captured our wedding day in the most beautiful way. They also adjusted their own personal plans to take our "trash the dress" photos on our honeymoon in Maui. Now my husband and I have AMAZING pictures on a Hawaiin beach at sunset. They treated us as if we were their family and not just clients. By far, the best decision we made for our wedding!

David and Amy were our photographers for our engagement pictures and wedding ceremony/reception. They are incredibly professional and gifted photographers. They captured every important moment with exquisite detail and perfection. They meet every one of our needs. They arrived early for our sessions. They were flexible. They did everything they said they would do. The quality of their work was exceptional. Also, at our wedding ceremony and reception they were very respectful of the space and never intruded.Their style is photojournalistic, although they were open to doing posed shots that were important to us.The turnaround time was very quick - within 1 month our photos were online. A short time later we received the DVDs with all the pictures, 4x6 prints of all the pictures AND a slideshow that they put together. If I had really understood quality of their work, I might not have gotten a videographer.I give my highest recommendation to David and Amy. My husband and I absolutely love our pictures. In fact, we are giving many of them away as Christmas gifts this year.

From start to finish they both made us feel comfortable and at ease that they would go above and beyond to capture the images and look we were going for our wedding which was modern chic. We hired David and Amy Lau for our wedding in September 2010. I would highly recommend them! I loved the photos from their website and after meeting with David, we decided we had to book them. They were very professional and personable. David was the only vendor we didn't have to track down weeks before the wedding, he contacted us to discuss last minute details, etc. I think it's very important to be comfortable in front of your photographers, and we felt at ease with David and Amy. The photos they took at our wedding are gorgeous, I have received so many compliments. David and Amy's photos captured the feeling of our wedding perfectly. And the slideshow they put together for us was an added bonus to show friends and family. They also took some of the most amazing photos of everyone dancing at the reception. I don't know how they managed to get some of those shots without getting their cameras knocked out of their hands, the dance floor was so crowded! My only regret is not having more time with them! We got the 9 hour package, but we would have loved an extra hour or two.

We could not be happier that we selected David and Amy as our wedding photographers for our June 25th wedding! After seeing about 6-7 wedding photographers, we started to become frustrated that we would not be able to find a great photographer in our budget but then we met with the Laus. We were blown away by their pictures...they capture moments and details of the day as opposed to corny-posed pictures and their work was beautiful and creative! The couple also has a passion for their work and is on top of the lastest technologies. It was also important to us to have vendors that were friendly and fun...afterall we would be spending one of the most important days of our lives with them. David and Amy are such a fun couple..they felt more like friends then wedding vendors. At the same time, they were very professional always returning emails and calls promptly. We knew right away, we HAD to have them for our wedding and booking them was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process!! Our pictures are so beautiful and unique and something we will cherish forever. Also, it should be mentioned that David and Amy lost a VERY close family member only days before our wedding. We thought for sure that they would not be able to attend and honestly we would have understood. Considering the circumstances, I'm not sure if I myself would have been able to go. But they both came in high spirits and did an amazing job! I feel incredibly grateful that they put aside their own grief and pain to help make our day the best it could be. What more could you ask for in a vendor?!! I also wanted to add that we originally did not book an engagement session but added one a few months before our wedding and I am soo glad we did. The session gave us a chance to feel comfortable in front of the camera and get to know David & Amy better. (Plus we felt like celebrities getting our picture taken all around our town). I immediately sent a message through their website and set up a meeting, we met David and Amy a week later, and booked that day. David and Amy were so easy to work with, professional, friendly, and skilled! We were so comfortable with them during our engagement session, and we couldn't be happier with how our photos turned out. I had no doubt that we'd love our wedding photos too. Come day of our wedding, they captured every moment perfectly - from getting ready, to formals, to ceremony, to reception. After returning from our honeymoon, we received teasers from the wedding, and then soon after, the full gallery. When it came to our album, Amy did a wonderful job designing it and it couldn't have come out more beautifully. We are so glad David & Amy captured our wedding - when we look at our photos we have nothing but wonderful memories of our special day.

When my wife and I started to interview photographers for our wedding, we had narrowed down to three people. David and Amy were the last ones we interviewed with and we knew walking out of the door that we were going with them.The day of our wedding, David and Joe worked tirelessly with us, in drizzle, traffic and bad parking situations. David even drove us from our shooting site to the church, just so we could squeeze a few more pictures in after sending the rest of the group to the church. And through it all, David and Amy kept us laughing and smiling, making it really easy to relax and just enjoy the day.Joe, the second photographer for our formals and church shots was so great, too. He would continually stop us with "Just one more shot here, I think I have another GREAT ONE!" And all of the shots were delivered as promised: amazing!After the wedding, both David and Amy worked really hard to get us our pictures. They had shots up on their blog within a few weeks, the entire photo collection online in a month and our printed photos in two months. Unfortunately, my wife and were slackers and we did not submit our photos for our album until a year after our wedding. But even with this, David and Amy were extremely professional. Amy took our photo selections, designed an album layout and took our changes, all over email, which was very convenient for us. All told, we could not have asked for a better photography team. Great service, great people...just can't say enough nice things about them.

Everyone was amazed with how well our engagment pictures came out.. We were so relaxed and at ease with them after the engagement session that I was even more excited to see the wedding pictures. They captured everything even stuff we didnt even know took place. Our problem was deciding on 80 of them for the album. There is way to many good ones to choose from. I had a baby less then a year later and one of the first things I said to my husband was when can I book David and Amy for newborn picture. My daugthers pictures came out amazing now the hard part is going to be deciding on which one we pick for her birth announcement. Everytone we show any of their pictures to are like OMG they are so talented. They are both extremly professional and get everything done and sent to you very fast. I've recommend them already to friends and even strangers on the street. I can't wait to use them again as soon as I can figure out a reason too..

From our first meeting with David we felt very comfortable with him and with his style. We also liked the fact that they are a husband and wife team who were recently married themselves. We met Amy during our engagement photo session and was equally impressed with her and how well they worked together. They were very easy to deal with and responded quickly throughout our planning period and after the wedding. I can't say enough about how wonderful they were on the wedding day. Everyone loved having them around, even my cranky 80 year old grandmother! While we were getting ready and during the ceremony you barely knew they were around and I was amazed at some of the beautiful moments they captured. But, some of my favorite photos of the day were the formals of us, our family, and our bridal party. Everyone who sees them raves about how beautifully they came out! They took all of the photos that we asked for and were always around to capture the special moments. They showed us about 30 teasers very quickly after the wedding and we had our proofs (online and hard copies) as well as a disk with all images only 6 weeks after the wedding. Amy also designed our album. She works closely with you during the album design process to make sure it meets all expectations. I love the design that she did and I am really looking forward to seeing the final product in my hands! David and Amy Lau are amazing photographers and you won't regret choosing them to photograph your wedding! They are true professionals and artists!

David and Amy were wonderful--they ran all around the hotel with us, stayed until the very end of the night, and even showed us a slideshow of what they had taken during the night. They were such a source of calm and fun during the whole day, and the pictures are STUNNING. I seriously can't stop looking at them. During the planning process, David was extremely responsive to phone calls and emails--he even met us a truck stop to go over details the week before the wedding! His laid back approach continued at the wedding, where he rolled with all the punches...people running late, amateur photographers (one of whom handed David his camera for a family photo...unbelievable!), and a way-too-long list of must take posed family shots. They were wonderful, organized, professional, and fun, and provide fantastic quality. I recommend them without reservation.

You will receive all the prints, get them on a cdrom, and have them on your own personal website. Definitely a worthwhile investment for something that will last a lifetime.
