Reviews for David's Bridal
I ordered my bridal gown as well as my four bridesmaids gowns from David's Bridal. My dress came in wrong and they were quick to fix the problem and reorder me a brand new gown. All of my bridesmaids ordered their dresses online and they all fix perfect and were true to six. They all looked great and I recommend David's to anyone.
I had a wonderful experience at David's Bridal! My consultant was amazing in helping my pick out a gown and accessories! She brought me things that I never would have thought to get myself! She was also incredible at getting all my bridesmaids fitted and set with their dresses. We had everything all set and ordered within a couple of hours and the store manager told me what a joy my group was to work with (and it was a pretty big group- 10 people total!) I found everyone there to be very happy, friendly, and helpful!
My gown was in on the exact estimate date they gave me, and I found the alterations department to be extremely professional and my dress looked fantastic! I recently bought a gown preservation kit from them and they made it so easy so send my dress off to get cleaned and preserved! I would highly recommend the David's Bridal I went to in Danbury, CT.
The one in La Mesa is the best one IMHO. I called all over trying to find these really cute simple dresses for the flowergirls at the last minute (they both grew too much!) but all the sales girls had an attitude and told me they were not out for sale yet (they didnn't bother looking) When I called in La Mesa, "oh yes, we have both sizes right here!" Love it. I was in and out in 10 minutes. A+ for the La Mesa store, C-/D for the other ones in California -LA/OC/IE areas
I went to David's to get some ideas (didn't plan on purchasing a dress that day), but I found a dress that I LOVED, but it was discontinued!! Lucky for me, the one they had available in the store fit me like a glove, and to top it off, was only $150... I couldn't have asked for a better dress or a better price! I have no complaints about my experience with David's, everyone working there was very helpful.
I wasn't pleased with DB overall, which is why I did not purchase anything from their store. Before even stepping foot in the store, I had read several reviews online and most did not have good things to say. Furthermore, I tried to remain neutral until I had a chance to experience them for myself. I happened to be in an area of a DB one day while shopping with my mom at Trader Joe's and we decided on a whim to go in to peek an maybe even try on some dresses. Soon after we walked in and began looking at dresses, an associate came over and asked if we had an appointment for the day. When I said no, she informed us that we must have an appt. to try on any of the dresses and that if we wanted to continue to look at dresses that "I guess that would be okay." I have to be honest, by looking around, the store did not seem to be busy (enough so that my mom even made a comment about it). We immediately left and I called later on that week to book an appt. (why? I have no idea- I never should have gone back!)
When I arrived for my appointment, the "greeter/assocaite" immediately asked for all of my contact info (which I didn't feel confortable with) so I only gave my phone #. She started showing me package deals with invitations, bridesmaid options, and all these little "extras". I was there to try on dresses, not lose focus on other elements of my wedding. When asked the type of dress I was looking for, I got out a few words when I was then instructed to go to the fitting room and wait for the dresses pulled). I thought it was a joke that I didn't even have an initial opportunity to walk the floor and pull what I LIKED. A was also bummed that they hadn't even taken the time to ask the location of the wedding, an important factor (at least for me) when choosing a dress style. Anyhow, I tried on several dresses, but didn't receive a WOW factor from any, as the consultant continued to bring in styles/cuts of dresses I specifically mentioned that I weren't fond of.
From the time I left the store, I received 3 phone calls all within a week from DB. Even their "Men's" line re: Tux's called me. Week after week I received more calls and I was so irritated that I called them back several times before I asked the manager to remove my name from their listing and to contact their automated customer service center and remove my name from their list too. Don't give your phone info to them, it will turn out to be a big headache!
I'm glad that some girls are able to find their dresses here, but it was not for me. Actually, now that I think of it, I don't believe their prices were that impressive and the fact that you get the dress off the floor or transferred from another store irked me- it's not even new.
*Edit* 3-7-09
I got ANOTHER phone call from DB last week asking if I was still looking for a dress, after the manager assured me that my name was taken off of their calling list 2 months ago. My whole experience with them has been extremely annoying.
I didn't end up buying my dress from here, but the selection was great and they were very friendly!
This review is solely based on my experice at the DB store in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Two weeks after I got engaged, I was bored after work and dropped by DB. It was 7PM on a weekday and the place was desolate. The gal who helped me was courteous and helpful but not well trained. She let me look at a book and pick out some styles I liked. The first dress looked like something I had picked up at a thrift store and hot glued sequins onto, I almost left right then. BUT the second dress she brought over was perfect. It fit everywhere but the bust, big surprise, I'm always too large. The next day I went back and bought the dress and had a bra with less padding special ordered. I went back the following Saturday, yes I had an appoinment, to get my slip veil and shoes. Well, this time the place was insanely crowded. I was completely ignored while someone else got all the attention. I trapsed over and started tearing through the shoe section all on my own. It was rather difficult while in my dress. The girl I was supposed to see COMPLETELY ignored me, I was enraged. Another girl was actually well trained and she took a look in the back and found that "special order" bra for me. The other girl had apparently been too lazy to look. I left that day totally furious. I know that it was crowded and that I wasn't the only bride there but I HAD AN APPOINTMENT! When I went back a month later for the alterations I found a totally different atmosphere. Super proffesional, super helpful and just all around great people. All I needed was a bustle, so my grand total was:
Dress $500
Alterations $50
Veil $80
Slip $150
Bra $50
OVERALL:
Great value. Sucky service. I wasn't on a budget when I went in there and I didn't expect to find my dress there of all places. I just wanted to get some ideas of what looked good on me because eveything else was closed at the time.
Because I bought my dress there I saved a lot of money and got to spend more on my pictures and reception. I got lucky because my dress fit perfectly, but I have heard horror stories of mis-measurements wrong sizes being ordered and what not.
If don't mind bad service and you need to save money try it out for yourself.
I LOVED my experience at David's Bridal. We went in one Sunday afternoon with no appointment just to look around. We went to the Westminster, CO location. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and asked if we had an appointment. She told us it was fine that we didn't have an appointment and advised us to go ahead and look around and they would find someone to assist us as soon as possible. We browsed around and picked out a few dresses. By that time, they had a consultant ready for us. I got super lucky with my consultant. She was very easy to talk to and realized more or less what I wanted just by what I had picked out. She wasn't pushy or too focused on making the sale which was really relaxing and comforting for me. I knew she wasn't trying to put me in something just so she had a sale. She was very patient with us and very knowledgeable even thought it was only her first day as a consultant. I will definetly be going back to David's Bridal and my consultant for bridesmaids dresses, flower girls dresses, and whatever else we may need.
This is great for those on a budget who don't know exactly what they want. The staff can be a bit pushy, but at the end of the day they are trying to make you look beautiful.
I loved how the dresses turned out for my bridesmaids, my mothers, and my flower girl. The style and color flattered all my girls and the store was very accomodating and helpful. There were far more selections at this store than the other bridal stores we frequented. The lady who helped us out was very helpful in choosing a dress which made my girls look stunning.
I went to davids bridal and they helped me pick ou the exact color that I was trying to match with the pocket square I had gotten at the tux shop. I found an exact color and the exact style that I had seen online to compare with my girls as well as my dress. They really go above and beyond to give you the best experience.
David's Bridal was a one stop shop for all your bridal needs.Loved my invitations, and got a great price! We ordered online from David's Bridal.
I went with 3 of my bridesmaids to the Warwick store and everything went pretty smoothly. The staff was somewhat helpful, somewhat non-responsive. I went with the other 3 bridesmaids to the store in Yonkers, NY - everything went fine there too. I preferred it when they actually just let us look for dresses ourselves and weren't hovering over us. I ended up ordering the dresses from a store near me in Manchester, CT. Everything went fine but their arrivals were a little annoying. Every time one dress came in, they'd email me and say "You have to pick it up this week". Seeing it was ~25 minutes away, this was slightly annoying to go over and over again whenever one dress came in. The dresses all came in right sizes with no problems at all. We went there because of the selection in sizes and colors, the sweet prices were an added bonus! We did not do alterations there. Dresses took about 2-3 months to come in; I didn't think that was bad at all. I also got a TTD dress and a rehearsal dinner dress there with equally smooth experiences.
Very good prices alot of choices/colors. Although some of the quality was not that good and looked cheap. You really have to go and see for yourself. The price was def right though. I went there today and it took longer to place the order than it did to find the dresses for the bridesmaids and for them to try them on uggghhh..
I see that there are lots of mixed reviews here for Davids Bridal. My experience was fine, I did not expect the world from them beacuse I know they are not a couture bridal shop. The dresses appear mostly like knock-offs of designer gowns with less epxensive material, but everyone's got a budget ladies and this place fit into mine. The dress looked great on, had it altered and it looked even better. You can check out my professional pics on my profile to see. Good luck everyone on getting your wedding dress!!! Have fun!!!
do NOt go to the HARRISBURG david's bridal if you want to be treated with dignity and respect. my mom and i were "waited" on by Dara who was horrible to us!!!!!!!!!!!!also, the store is run incompetently....i made an appt for bra fittings for my mom and myself. upon my arrival, i found out i was not in the schedule book or in the wrong spot. i was then taken and shown my dressing room and told my girl is blonde with blue shirt named DARA. my mom and i got distracted looking at shoes while we waited. my mom then sat in a row of 4 chair that had been empty for the 15 MINUTES that we looked at shoes. my mom was then approached by DARA who told her she could not sit there. i was not aware of any of it because i was on my cell phone at the time. i then went to get the girl up front and asked if i could look thru bras and wait on myself because i felt dara was too busy. the girl then brought me TO DARA. in meantime i found out there was a "bra room" that was "full" of all these bras and the girls had to get it for me. so after i was introduced to dara, i looked her in the eye and said, "i'm sorry you got double booked." she looked me directly back, cocked her head and said, (VERY MEANLY IN A VERY RUDE VOICE)"no, i didnt get double booked. i got triple booked!@" i then told her it was for my mom also and started to suggest we try them on at same time to save her time. SHE THEN SNAPPED AT ME AGAIN, SAYING, "lets just take care of YOU first THEN we'll take care of her!"
i once agian bit my tounge and did not react. tried mine on. decided right away. came out and told her which one i wanted. then when it came time to fit my mom, and DARA was forced to look more times than once to find a size, i noted that behind the curtain to the (BRA ROOM) i could see thru side that she was forced to getting down looking thru a box of bras and i could see that room was FULL of bras. the next choice she comes up with still does not fit and when i tell dara she tells me to put dress on with it/ so we do. when i brought my mom to dara she didnt remark that it didnt fit right even though there was visible evidence thru the dress that it didnt. even an idoit could see that. once dara walked away again, i tell my mom get dressed and we'll buy yours somewhere else. my sister had shown up randomly and found us and brought us to the girl that was waiting on her and treating her nice. so as i was across the room with my sister and the new girl, DARA finally decides to care enough to come and find out what i was doing. i then quietly told her that i will get my mom's bra elsewhere. still holding the bra and shawl i was gonna buy. however i went back to talking to my sister and watching her daughter try on dresses. when we were done with that, as i walked to the register to try and pay for my things, i passed by DARA and EVEN THANKED HER for HELPING ME!!!!!!!!!! i then stood at the register for another 20 MINUTES being ignored!!!! i then looked down at a $55 bra and the time which was 2 and a half hours from the time i had walked in!!! and decided i was ready to WALK OUT AND NEVER RETURN TO THAT STORE AGAIN...so i put the bra on a table and left with my mom, sister and niece. WITHOUT BUYING A SINGLE THING...TOO BAD CAUSE I GOT A DAVIDS BRIDAL CARD THAT I HAD ALREADY BOUGHT AND PAID FOR A DRESS FOR MYSELF, MY FLOWERGIRL, AND HAD PLANNED ON USING IT TO BUY ALL 5 OF MY BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES THERE...
A great place to go if you're letting your girls choose their own dresses, but in one specific color! They have a GREAT selection, and the price is right! It was important to me that my girls not spend an arm and a leg to be a part of my big day!
David's Bridal is wonderful! Great staff and they help you through everything. You can even view everything online and make appointments before you go into the shop. Also, without and appt. you can go into the shop and view everything and look around. Thier prices are great, not too expensive. Also, they always have their $99 dress sales. The dresses are beautiful. They also have tuxes, shoes, accesories, and bridesmaid dresses. They have all the attire you will need on your wedding day.
I absolutely loved my wedding dress and had a great experience at David's Bridal. I had simple alterations done to bustle the dress and take in the bodice. I had a very stressful time planning my wedding - I was working on graduating, planning a wedding, and moving across the country in just a summer and lost a lot of weight. The seamstress at David's Bridal actually altered the dress a second time for free since I was lost weight in such a short amount of time. The dress fit perfectly and I highly recommend them!
I bought my dress at David's bridal in Paramus. It was a very easy process. And I was actually pleased with the service I recieved there. My bridesmaids also bought their dresses there and had no problems either. We got all got our shoes there as well. The prices were good and I was happy with how they were on time.
I rated this 2 stars b/c I'm not a fan of David's Bridal However, if you are in Phoenix, AZ and need a super good seamstress for your wedding dress or anything else they have an awesome seamstress at David's Bridal named Joan who also works from her home. I went directly to her at her home just to have an elastic band put in my dress to hold it up better. At the same time she did a bunch of other dresses for me. She was sweet, fast, and great communication.
David's Bridal was a one stop shop for all your bridal needs. They are good with alterations but the lead time was longer than what I needed which is why I took it to another place.
There are many brides that use them though!
Good selections, slow to personalize so plan wayyyy ahead. I had to rush a part of the invitation as it looked like it was included but received just in time.
I would certainly not send anyone to David's Bridal. They have stores everywhere, which adds convenience, but the quality of the stores leaves much to be desired. The last thing I wanted to do was try on dresses when I walked in. The service is horrible.
David's Bridal is a good place to buy a wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses. They have a large selection of styles and colors and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in helping you decide what looks best.
All of my bridesmaids found dresses here. They were able to get them in the colors i needed and alterations werent to bad either!
They have a great selection of dresses, both wedding gowns and bride's maids dresses also. They are very friendly and very affordable for the everyday bride!
Good Bridal shop. Great place to go to try on dresses and find good deals on everyone's dresses. Although you have to make an appointment to try on dresses.
I first found "the dress" at the Tri-County location in Cincinnati. Like many girls say, it's pretty hit or miss for service at David's Bridal. On some occasions, I have been blown away by the attentiveness and service of the staff and on other occasions I have been very disappointed.
I didn't have any issues with my dress, the ordering, etc. at David's. My bridesmaids ordered their dresses from either Tri-County or Kenwood locations in Cincy as well as a location near D.C. No issues with sizes, etc. but a few of the girls had minor issues when picking up their dresses. Apparently David's now uses the bride's name on all the bridesmaids' orders as well and each time a girl picked up a dress they were, at first, told the dress was under my name instead of their's. They were all able to argue their way out of it but it was kinda annoying to hear that 4 of 5 bridesmaids had to do that... esp. when it should be common sense that the person who paid for the dress with their own credit card would be the person picking up their dress... not the bride!
I did get $20 off each bridesmaid dress because my dress was bought at David's. A small, but nice perk for the girls. I think most of them paid $125 or less for their dresses.
I am very pleased with the selection that David's Bridal offers on the invitaions. They have my color and you can choose to DIY!
If only my dress had been available at another salon.
The saleswoman who helped us was delightful, but from there the experience went downhill. The real problem was with alterations, which I wish I had chosen to take elsewhere. The alterations staff does not practice good customer service; they overcharge for less-than-adequate work (they forgot to sew on two buttons on the bustle!), and they did not convey accurate expectations from the outset. When I expressed concern about the dress slipping down, the alterations lady kept trying to tell me that it wasn't, but it was slipping down, right there in front of our eyes. I mean, my girls were showing, for crying out loud.
Also, David's has a very stringent policy regarding their discounts, so if you don't buy accessories on the spot, they refuse to cut you any kind of deal. The flimsy garment bag we bought for $10 fell apart, and they wouldn't supply us with another.
Again, I wish this dress had been available elsewhere, or at least that I had gone elsewhere for my alterations.
Alterations:
They were okay but you could definitely get a cheaper rate and just as good a quality at a local tailor.
Bridal Gown:
Super helpful, didn’t think they would have something I liked but hey had so many choices and they were really nice.
Bridesmaids:
Again really nice and helpful were so sweet and kept with what I had in mind.
We found our mother-of the bride and maid of honor's dresses at David's Bridal in Middletown, NY. The fall themed colors were available in all sizes right off the rack. Then, a few months later, my mother (mom of the bride) suffered a major heart attack. Thank God she is okay and is back to being herself. After the fact, she also no longer fit in her dress after losing around 40 pounds. David's Bridal got her into the right "new" size, (three sizes smaller) in no time. She looked beautiful as she always does. If they didn't prove themselves then, they certainly did when I found the most gorgeous chapel lenght veil... but it had a tear in the tulle and was not repairable. So, they hunted down the identical veil in Indiana (I'm in NY) and shipped it overnight for free! And if that wasn't enough, it was on sale for only $100- unbelieveable! All my girls looked beautiful and no one broke the bank.
I LOVED my wedding gown! The staff at David's was really friendly and helped me with everything. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend them!
I love the people here! I went to one the store in Colorado Springs, CO. My consultant was amazing! They were so nice!
I have not yet bought my dress because my mother wants me to look around but I have an appt. later this week to go back! I will be spending just over $1100 on my dress which was a little above my budget but it will be worth it because I love this dress! I wasn't sure when I saw it on the hanger but it looks amazing on me!
I also intend to go through David's Bridal for my bridesmaid dresses.
I also love the fact that you can get discounts on your grooms and groomsmen tux's if you go to Mens Warehouse!
What can I really say except that it's David's? They had the dress I wanted for a decent price. Besides being really pushy, our service was good the first time and crappy the second. If you buy your dress from David's, try on their crinoline and bra with it, but just remember what you tried on there and buy it somewhere else. I spent $80 on a bra that made me look like my dress didn't fit and left big red marks on my sides where the bones ended (pain.) - I would have been much better off if I had worn my Victoria's Secret strapless with it - and much more comfortable.
This price included alterations, a flower girl dress, 2 veils and a gorgeous wedding dress. At the David's Bridal in Novi Michigan, my daughter was catered to from the minute we walked in the door- this was a fabulous experience. Since my daughter lives in California, she needed to have alterations done at the Northridge store. We also bought the flower girl dress. The sales people ignored us or pointed towards the dresses in a self-serve kind of atmosphere. We had an appointment and it was a weekday, so there was no excuse in my opinion to be unhelpful (especially in this economy!) In Novi, we just walked in! I would give the michigan store 5 stars, and the value for money spent 5 stars, but as far as service in Northridge- 1 star. The seamstress in Northridge had difficulty communicating and it was hard to come up with a 2nd fitting date - not too accommodating, but in the end, the alterations were good and the dress did look beautiful.
Did not get my gown from here, but my bridesmaids did. My girls are all over, so I picked David's Bridal so it would be easier to get everyone on the same page, and it totally was! I was also in from out of town to meet with some of them to decide, and it was a very quick easy process! Dresses came in super fast! A++++ for David's Bridal!
The employees are helpful but somewhat impatient. Everyone has told me when you find "THE" dress you will know. My friends advised me while I was in the dressing room trying on dresses one of the girls helping me doing the loud sighs and rolling her eyes. And pretty much made it known that she was sick of finding me dresses. And really we did not have her do much mostly we just used the room, we went and looked for our own dresses but she also brought some that she thought I would like, which was nice, but as a bride you should be able to be somewhat picky when it comes to your wedding gown especially after how much they cost. In the end I did not end up getting my dress through them even though there was one I really liked and when we went to go do bridesmaids dresses the girl that was helping me almost got upset that I didn't order my dress through them.
If you want a stunning & elegant wedding dress, shop at David's Bridal. I bought my wedding dress & veil and my four bridesmaid dresses there. We had a great experience. The bridesmaids received %15 off their order because I bought my dress. The saleswomen were very accomodating and knew their wedding information.
Of all the bridal shops I went in to look at dresses, this one was the least professional. Yes, I know they are the ones who are known and therefore they are swamped. I was told in the first one I went in that I could not even look at the dresses without an appointment. I go home on that evening and make an appointment. When I show up to my appointment I have to wait 15 minutes to sign in and another 30 to get a dressing room ( which are smaller than Wal-Mart dressing rooms). I have no attendant to help me find dresses. If my mother and brother, who was not allowed to come into the back to see me but could sit on a couch in full view of the dressing rooms ) had not have been there, I would have been finding and trying on my own dresses. I left within thirty minutes of getting to a dressin room. I tried on only four dresses and spent nothing! I was totally disappointed with David's Bridal, and I went to two.
The bridesmaids' dresses were different styles and colors. They were ready on time which was very important.
I bought my dress from the David's in East Lansing, MI and it was a great experience. I went back around 5 times and at each appointment they were very helpful. They have such a great selection and can order and receive the dresses in such a timely fashion that it really took all the stress out of it. I tried on dozens of dresses I hated before I found the one I loved and They were not impatient with me at all!! I also got my bridesmaid dresses there and it is nice to have a place with locations all over! My girls in different cities didn't even have to travel.
David's Bridal was a great place to start my dress shopping, but I felt like many of their dresses weren't unique enough. The sales associate was very nice and helpful, but I did feel a little pressure from the associate which made me just a little uncomfortable, but not enough to not go back. I will definitely get my bridesmaid dresses there, but did not purchase my gown there. Good starting point.
I used them for my bridesmaids dresses. Since they have locations throughout the country, it made it much easier for all the girls to get what they needed.
Not very much for the alternative wedding goen, but lots of choices for the bridal party. You choose the colour and the fabric, and your ladies get to choose a dress style that works for them.
David's Bridal has many choices for Bride's Maids, but they do not carry many sizes in their dresses. When my friends were trying on dresses, one of them had to try on one that was 4 sizes too big!
I had an appointment to go in to try on wedding dresses at 2:30. We got there a few minutes early and gave our information to the lady at the front desk. We then proceeded to wait long past when we had our appointment. We started looking around at dresses and were scolded because the lady at the desk we spoke to had actually forgotten who we were at that we had already checked in, and thought that we had skipped this process. When we were finally moved into a room to try on before I could try anything on they made me move to a different room so that bridal party could use the area I was in and I wouldn't be in there way. The only positive thing about the experience was the helpful woman who ended up working with me in the end. I would not recommend using David's Bridal.
I had heard worrisome stories about dresses from David's Bridal but ended up getting my bridesmaids dresses there because there was a location near each girl and because they are so reasonable. The dresses arrived in three weeks, are beautiful, and the saleswomen were very flexible about exchanging a dress for a junior bridesmaid who grew more than expected. I also found dresses for my flower girls on clearance for $40 each. It was a great experience!
OK service, don't go if you are a small size, they had about 3 dresses my size. It felt very forced but the ladies were nice.
the most colors the most designs i found dresses for everyone if they are 2 6 15 or 25. something for every style size age everything and compared to other places they were surprising low priced!
They were extremely helpful with getting the right dress for me and my bridesmaids. The only complain I have about them is that they told me that a color was going to be discontinued and I found out later that it was not.
Through David's Bridal, My fiance and I attended two seminars and received a 6 certificates for free honeymoons at various areas.
My bridesmaids used David's Bridal due to the last minute nature of my wedding. They were able to find a lovely dress, albeit a tad different from what I'd originally wanted, but it worked out perfectly. I'm glad they had the dresses on hand so that my bridesmaids could just go and pick them up.
All of my girls got their dresses from Davids. I allowed them to choose their own dress. David's worked with me, so I didn't have to go with each girl. Instead, they gave me a phone call when each girl ordered her gown, and when they came in.
wonderful!
I walked into the store and was looking around. There were 3 salespeople there that day. I was there for 20 minutes and not one of the sales people even acknowledged my presence! I left and called back later to complain to the manager. Guess they didn't think I looked like a bride!!!
I had to have my dress hemmed and bustled, and David's Bridal was very accommodating. My appointment was really close to my wedding day, and I was never charged a rush fee. My dress looked wonderful. I lost too much weight in the last couple days before my wedding though, because my dress wanted to fall off my top once dancing, which also made it ever so slightly too long. But I would recommend the alteration services of David's.
Alterations:
I liked David’s for picking out the dress and for the bridesmaid’s dresses; however, my dress was altered only slightly and I was not happy with the result. I had them add a little bit of padding in the bust because it was a strapless gown; when I tried it on, it was actually too tight and actually pushed my bust up too high, which was uncomfortable for me because I had to worry about it all morning. Also, my bridesmaids went to different DB’s to get their dresses, and each one was a different length after alterations. They should have standard lengths across the board.
Bridal Gown:
David’s was extremely helpful with helping me pick out my dress. A wedding consultant spent almost four hours with me, and allowed me to try on as many dresses as I wanted. They were very helpful with the selection of accessories (shoes and veil), as well as very helpful with opinions and suggestions as to which dress best fit my figure.
Bridesmaids Dresses:
David’s was very helpful with picking out a plain, simple dress in a modest price range that all my girls could afford. The suggested accessories, though we decided against them, were very creative.
I went to the Costa Mesa store with a list I created online. I had made an appointment and walked right in and was assigned to someone. She immediately went and started helping me pull the dresses in my size and then once I got in the dressing room, she was off to find me a bra and the underskirt thing. I was by myself and she was fantastic - she even offered to take pictures of me when other stores had told me no. I found my dress (the 4th one I tried on) and it was on sale. I bought the gown of my dreams as easily as buying a pair of shoes.
I took my girls back to the same store to get their dresses. They were on clearance, but the associate ran around looking for sizes in other colors, just so they could get an idea on fit.
Even though they have a sign about picking up gowns in a timely fashion, my maid of honor took like 4 months to get hers and they didn't bug her at all about it.
The bustling was a breeze and I loved the coupons that I got for other stores. Everything was a great experience!
I bought the bridesmaid dresses here online. And it was a great bargain. And the quality of the dresses came out nicely too. I was so afraid that I would not be able to easily return the dresses if they did not work out. However, I just got a refund today for the extra bridesmaid dress that I bought in the wrong size--no problem. Thank goodness! If you buy online, read the reviews carefully and call the store for the measurements of sizes or get your bridesmaid to try on a similarly styled dress at any of the david's bridal locations. But be careful if you buy from the outlet section online or clearance, that is not returnable. Anyway, I'm happy because DB was a cost effective way to go, without sacrificing quality and pretty-ness. :)
I purchased my bridal gown and bridesmaid's gowns at David's Bridal. The alterations were done correctly and my grown look like it was made for me. It was ok, I just wish they would allow you to return your dress if you didn’t need any alterations. The dresses were very nice for the girls- however, they didn’t give you much help when came to picking the right gown for each girl.
At David's bridal you have to be slightly independent & a self starter/mover. They do not cater to princesses. We found my dress in one day. I had the help of 2 of my sisters which probably made a big difference too. We are all very proactive & decisive. Our employee lady was fairly helpful, & after trying on many dresses ran off to find a certain one that she remembered based on our comments & it ended up being THE dress. & it was on sale! $490 down from $800 in September. Thankyou David's Bridal. I have received constant compliments on the dress & never seen anyone else in one like it. Go to Dillard's online though for bridesmaid dresses, better prices huge selection just search for evening dresses.
one major problem for me was David's Bridal's complete lack of Petite sizes! if you are below 5' 2" (I'm 5' 0") a lot of the busts, torsos, arm holes, &/or sleeves will be too long which either looks stupid (& they try to tell you it looks okay) or requires expensive alterations. They would NOT order in petite's for me to try on, unless i paid for the dress first & then there are NO returns!! Who would buy a dress without trying it on first??? (i found a regular strapless which worked for my body)
A second problem is the hemming. Since my dress was way too long due to my afor mentioned vertical challenge, I needed the back & the front hemmed for it to look proportionate when bustled. They will ONLY hem the front & a little to the sides because hemming the back is considered altering the original design & is not allowed. Plus they charged around $185 to hem just the front half & make a bustle. I found a seamstress who did the entire 4+ layer tulle hem all the way around & bustled it beautifully for only $100.
Maybe go there, after you've been to a couple other places & have an idea of what you're looking for. We also found my mother's dress at a different location only a week beforehand while looking on a whim (she already had an okay dress) & even though the poor girl was obviously running around for a couple brides, she took a minute to open a room for us & later found a good foundation garment that made all the difference. Thankyou Jessica in Burlington!
David's Bridal is a great place to find the perfect dress. The service was mediocre but the prices made up for that. The first one I tried on it was magical and I knew it was the dress. Cliché but true. There is a variety of styles ranging from elegant, modern, simple, and trendy. I purchased my shoes, tiara, and bridesmaids dresses there as well.
I was confused when I first entered the store and found out you have to have an appointement to even look at the dresses.
Great selection of dresses and personalized service. Dress arrived much quicker than expected. Great price.
Customer service was wonderful. They were a little pricey, but they have great deals during the summer. My consultant helped me choose the prefect dress for me and was completely honest when providing her opinion. They also worked with me within my budget and didn't try to talk me into buying things that I didn't need or couldn't afford. Overall, it was a great experience.
I got my bridal gown, bustier, and petticoat here. I got the gown altered a little to fit my small chest. When the gown came in the first time, they had to replace one of the cap sleeves because the embroidery was incomplete. My bridesmaids also got their outfits here and had no trouble. It was busy when we went but they did their best and took care of us. It's nice that David's Bridal has a fairly wide range of styles and prices.
The curtains covering the dressing rooms in the alterations department were too small. There was an approximately 5 inch gap on either side of each curtain! However, the dressing rooms in the rest of the store are very nice.
They are too showy. We wanted something simple and it was hard to get that across. The alterations and sleeves cost more than the dress itself. Sales people are overworked. They would not give me the right size bustier for trying on dresses and I hope it won't affect the alterations.
Davids is the ideal choice if you have bridesmaids in different parts of the country. The help we received when picking out the wedding dress was great. The attendants were friendly, polite, helpful and honest. Sometimes it may be hard for them to be honest, especially if the bride likes a dress but it just isn't the right one for her. I appreciate the honesty they gave my daughter and she looked beautiful on her wedding day. The alterations were handled quickly and efficiently. I would definately recommend them!
Very happy with using David's Bridal for my bridesmaids' dresses. I picked the color marine for the dresses, which was a beautiful color. Also, DB offered a wide variety of dresses, of all different lengths and styles in this color, which was perfect, because I had all 8 of my bridesmaids choose a different dress, and everyone was able to find a dress offered in marine that looked great on them. Also, the sales people were great, very helpful, and the prices were very reasonable.
The customer service here was horrible!! My MOH and I went in to look for bridesmaid dresses and after our one experience with a super snooty sales clerk we will never go back. Rude, rude, rude!
David's Bridal was very helpful in helping me figure out what kind of dress I wanted. They were, however, expensive. With the dress, veil and undergarments, it woulda cost at least $700. They did have a large seletion of dresses in just about every size though. If you don't have to worry about budget, then they are definately the place to go.
I tried on one dress before my wedding and absolutely loved it! I chose David's Bridal for price and convenience, at first. But when I saw my dress I knew it was the one I wanted! It was very easy to coordinate my wedding party using David's Bridal, they had so many styles to choose from in my colors (my dress was champagne, and my bridesmaids wore latte). It made it easy for me.. I just gave the girls the color and told them each to pick out a style they liked. Everyone's dress was beautiful and really fit her personality and body type. The alterations I had done on my dress were perfect, it fit beautifully. Overall, I had no complaints with the product or the service!
They were the pushiest and most arrogant bridal shop I've ever been to. They were like a used car lot more than a bridal shop. Not to mention they have limitation on what dresses you can get in what color and it is just not fair.
Yes. That's how much my wedding dress was on David's Bridal.com. They have AWESOME sales online. I didn't buy my dress for the price, I bought it because it was exactly that I had envisioned. Then I saw the price when I clicked on the next screen and was blown away. Saving this substantial sum allowed us to buy more alcohol for the reception and to purchase the sabres for the groomsmen.(It was a military wedding and they used the swords to make the arch. They didn't know at the time that they could keep them.) My dress was absolutely perfect for the occasion. It was simple, elegant, and timeless. No one in my family believed me that I got it for such a steal. Just know your dress size by going into the store and trying on a similar dress by the same designer. I wear a jean size 4, but my wedding dress was size 10 and it was tight! I don't know why they make women's sizes so variable. Anyway, you can get $300 and $400 dresses online here for $100. Make sure you order waaay in advance so you can get it tailored.(I think they make them fit wierd on purpose to extort alteration money out of us!) It is worth taking a look at in case you run into a budget crunch and have to trim it off somewhere or if you're sensible like me and realize that you're only gonna wear it once! (Hopefully!!!)
The representative was extremely helpful on my first visit, giving advice on what accessories should or should not be worn with the dress that I decided upon. The alterations were done quickly, yet they don't offer many days to pick-up altered dress. My MOH got her dress there and again, the representative helping her was very helpful. Her dress had to be ordered, and it arrived a little earlier than anticipated. This company has so many dresses on sight and at reasonable prices, that I would definitely recommend a bride or bridal party make this their first stop for dress hunting.
First I did not find my dress at David's Bridal. They do have a large selection, but the selection is mostly strapless dresses. That is not what I was looking for and a little disappointed that they didn't have a large selection of others. I did enjoy the online programs they have on planning weddings and the wedding party's clothes.
I was able to go into David's bridal when I was looking for my dress and sure I wouldn't find anything that looked good on me. Christine was able to help me find my perfect dress on the third try. They have also been very accommodating with my huge bridal party of six brides maids and a maid of honor.
I would have to say that their commercials don't lie: it's true that "You'll love David's Bridal." Over the course of my wedding planning I visited the local salon in Tampa on Westshore Blvd about 2 times. My only complaint that stopped me from rating them five stars is that you NEED an appointment and, even with an appointment, you will most likely have to wait awhile before a consultant takes you to a fitting room. I did also find it a little cheap that they charged me $5-10 for the dry cleaning style bag you take your dress home in. That should come complimentary with the gown and accessories. They're very good if you're on a budget. I bought my wedding gown during a $99 gown sale. The $99 gowns are few and far between but the sale does also include varying discounts from about $100-$400 off the other gowns depending on their normal price range. Also I was able to find a dress really last minute that fit off the rack without any alterations needed at all.
This was the last place I thought I'd find my dress! But it was the second one I tried on! The girls are really good at picking out good dresses that fit your desires and body type!
David's Bridal does offer lower cost dresses, but be very careful here - there is a reason these places are cheap (other than cheaper material). Their staff is not well trained at all in customer assistance or professionalism, so if anything goes wrong, be prepared to be very, very stressed.
I found exactly what I was looking for at David's Bridal for my bridesmaid dresses (which is why it gets 2 stars), but that is where the fun ended. I had created an account there and they had inputted the style and color of the dress I chose for my bridesmaid dress, and I thought all was well. However, when the girls went to try on the dresses and give their sizes to order, we were told that the dress was discontinued in my color... and I was never notified of this at any point, even though this selection and color was in their database, and it had been no longer than 1 month from the time I had this put into the system to the day my friends went into the stores. I was horrified and didn't know what to do, and the girl helping us just stood there telling us "too bad," when what she should have done was a) get a manager and b) begin calling around to other stores to see if there were any left - which, eventually there were, but we had to call around to all the stores personally to find them which was unbelievably difficult. David's Bridal didn't even offer to help us call around to the stores after they had made this horrible mistake. It was nearly a total nightmare.
Be very careful here; I don't see any way of preventing this from happening again to anyone.
They're not the only game in town but they weren't a bad choice. I got roped in to the "$99 bridal gown event" Let me warn you - this means there is a rack of about 14 dresses that are marked down to $99. The good news for me was I found my dress on that rack and then paid an additional $200 in alterations.
Here's what I didn't know.
Most of the dresses only ran about $250 anyway. And you'd most likely have to have it altered.
That being said, there's something reassuring about a company that's been doing a great job for so long. They did a terrific job and were really informative for explaining timelines and expectations!
again, nothing but headaches.. only plus is they let us switch gowns for another style two weeks before my wedding.
David's Bridal is also a great place to get your outfits for the children in your wedding. They are comfortable and not too pricey.
I bought 2 bridesmaid dresses this year from David's Bridal. Both had to be ordered. One from the store, one online. Either way, I was given the best customer service possible. I got what I needed and in the time promised.
I got the exact dress I wanted, a $200 discount and restoration/storage all in one price~ My dress is being restored in NY and I'll receive it in the mail when it is finished. Would definately recommend!
I got my girls' dresses at David's Bridal and they were on final clearance, so we had to buy them a year in advance, but they were BEAUTIFUL!! I absolutely loved it. The women that worked there were extremely helpful, as well.
We found the bridesmaid dresses on our third trip into David's. We had such a hard time narrowing it down before but when I saw this specific dress on all my girls, we knew it was the one. They worked with us to make sure we got them ordered on time and that the dresses arrived quickly (and they did...way before the expected date!) Thanks, Davids!
I got my wedding dress from David's Bridal where everyone was amazing. I went in with 21 dresses that I had seen online and liked. I tried a few on and eventually my bridal consultant started bringing me dresses that I hadn't considered and wouldn't have choose to try on. The one I got wasn't on my list and I would have NEVER had thought to try it on. It was the perfect dress for me.
I really don't like David's Bridal very much. Their dresses are overpriced. You can get a gorgeous Maggie Sottero wedding gown for the same price. But I feel in love with the color blue velvet. I picked my bridesmaid dresses out at David's and was very happy with my choice.
The dress of my dreams and Paula helped me find it. This place is always busy but they have the very best for the very best price!
The dresses were great! They were all delivered quickly and there was no problem with the dye lot they all looked great! Lots of styles to choose from.
me and my friend was looking for a cheap dress and i thught that in David's Bridal i will never find what i was looking fro because i thught it was really expensive but she found this beautifull dress in sale and I am a really big women the dress was my dream dress the only one they have left and it was my size it was a dream i try it on and i didn't want to take it off me lol.
The bridemaids all purchased their gowns from Davids' Bridal. I allowed them each to purchase using my DB credit card so that it wouldn't be a burden on anyone to be apart of our special day.
My flower girl was able to get a mini version of my dress from David's Bridal. She is so excited that they treated her like a little princess while she was getting fitted. I'm grateful for their patients dealing with a six year old running around the store.
The staff and selection at the David's Bridal salon in Roanoke was amazing. I loved being able to search online for the dresses I liked and then go into the store and actually try them on. Dresses were always in stock and in excellent condition.
I loved having a personal attendant while I was there who didn't blink once even after the 10th dress I tried on!
I loved knowing that their in-house seamstress was skilled and had years of experience with wedding attire.
I was able to fit all of the ladies in my party with similar style dresses. Wide selection of styles, colors and lengths.
Although the dresses were beautiful, the placed was always packed. I also felt that your consultant did not give undivided attention. Also, the dresses had to be ordered and took forever to come in.
The service I received at the David's Bridal in Brookfield, WI was pretty good. The lady helping me was very patient - even when I couldn't decide between two dresses. She went above and beyond and dressed two mannequins for me so I was able to see them side by side. I would definitely recommend having an appointment when you go - they won't see you with out one. My bridesmaids dresses were also purchased at this location. We had a minor issue with one of the dresses being much smaller than the original (we knew this because two of the dresses were the same size - one fit and the other didn't.) They were happy to exchange it for a different dress. Overall, happy with the service I received!
Alterations:
They did a good job but took a really long time.
Bridal Gown:
Surprised by how good the selection was. They were helpful and let me try on a million different dresses!
Bridesmaids Dresses:
We found the dresses we liked at Davids and scoured ebay and craigslist for them. We ended up finding all but one!
Loved my invitations, and got a great price! We ordered online from David's Bridal.
Well as much as I love davids bridal they were not very good when it comes to bridesmaid dresses. I felt like the staff didnt care about the dresses at all. I felt like the staff would be more than willing to help you for a bridal gown but when it came to bridesmaid dresses you are on your own!
I had reservations about using David's Bridal since I had heard so many horror stories about them.
Thankfully, we didn't have any issues, all the girls dresses arrived on time and were exactly the size, color, and style ordered.
My mother and I walked into the store of David's Bridal in Springfield, Va one day in hopes of finding the perfect dresses for my 3 bridesmaids. The thing that concerned me the most was that my 3 dear friends were all shaped very differently and I didn't want them to feel uncomfortable with what I selected. I was about ready to choose a color and let them select their own style dress to best fit their shape and style.....
When you walk into the door of David's Bridal it is VERY overwhelming!! Fortunately they greet you quickly and get you signed in. They gave me my very own personal assistant, Jedda. Which was wonderful, her sense of humor put me at ease and made me able to focus on what it was that I really wanted.
Her experiences with wedding planning proved to be very useful for me, especially when I told her my thoughts on letting the girls pick out their own dresses!
She told me that in the past when brides have done such, they learn quickly as to what their friends taste in clothing is really like. Sometimes even ill fit clothing was chosen, and the entire guest list was to stare at THEM during the service! I don't think so!!
So I decided on a tea length A-shaped dress, with 2 different neck lines, that was VERY flattering on all 3.
My thanks to Jedda, she made it VERY enjoyable and easy!!
I got the most beautiful dresses for my flower girls, the staff was so helpful and the dresses were on sale!!
David's Bridal had great customer service, a good selection, and the best prices of all the bridal shops I visited. When I went to buy my dress, I had heard that a sale was going on, but I found out when I got there that the sale had ended a few days before. I decided to wait and come back when there was another sale. As I was driving away, the young woman who had been helping me called to say that she had just talked to her manager and found out that a sale was starting the next day, and that her manager would honor it that day. I went in immediately to buy the dress! I was amazed and so glad that she called me!
davids bridal had many beautiful dresses and were very helpful when we made our appointment to go look at them. They helped us find the right dresses for my girls and they werent really expensive...which was a plus...
Nice satin dress great price! I looked all over for a different dress, but they were outragously over priced. David's had the basic satin white dress I wanted and I just had it altured to fit my tastes. the price was great for a strapless wraparound style gown.
I actually won a pampered bride package with through David's Bridal with Mary Kay. It was a wonderful experience. They reach out to you in many different ways with special coupons and all. They really made things easier for me as a busy bride!
My bridesmaid dresses were stunning! They were also half price. Each of my girls looked so beautiful in their dresses. I couldn't believe it!!!
With regards to the bridesmaid's dresses, David's won out again because of ease, convenience, and variety. I decided to choose a color and let each of my bridesmaids choose their own style, and this worked out really well. However, the dresses are very typically "bridesmaidy" and certainly won't be worn again. I was reluctant to be the kind of bride who makes her friends buy dresses (most around $110) that they'll never wear again, but it was hard to avoid this reality when David's was the only available chain for my bridesmaids, who live far and wide. In retrospect, I wouldn't have chosen otherwise.
David's Bridal is a good place to go if you want to allow your bridesmaids to wear different styles, while still having the same fabric. Unfortunately, the wedding gowns are very expensive and having a payment plan option is just not enough to make me buy one of their gowns. They do have a discount rack which goes down to about $300, but I found prettier gowns at lower prices in the locally owned stores.
The people at David's Bridal are very helpful, but I found it annoying that you are pestered with emails and phone calls asking you about your experience there after you've visited- even if you didn't buy anything!
I bought my dress, headpiece, veil, and slip from here. They were the only bridal store in Columbus, Ohio who were nice to me and offered me one on one help. They helped me try on each and every dress and helped me stay within my budget. They were fabulous to work with
My bridal gown and bridesmaid's gowns were purchased from David's Bridal. I first saw my gown in a catalog, and fell in love with it. When I finally saw it in person, it had a bit more silver on it than I expected, but was beautiful! It also had gorgeous floral and crystal embellishments. The staff at David’s Bridal was very helpful during my gown selection. I ran into problems, however, when I went for alterations. During my second fitting, the gown was still a bit big and needed to be taken in again. They claimed I had lost weight, even though I had not. So, I was charged a second time for alterations. At that point, I simply wanted my gown so I didn't make too much of a fuss. My bridesmaids looked fantastic- David's was even able to accommodate a pregnant bridesmaid of mine. I was very happy with that.
We purchased our wedding invitations through David's Bridal. They turned out as expected. But, for the price you pay, the bows should come on them. It took a lot of time to tie 150 bows!
My sister lives in another state and was able to walk into David's Bridal down there, check out the dresses and found one on the sale rack that looks amazing! Great prices, fast service.
I found that I loved all the dresses in there, but they were WAY over my budget, and my girl's budgets.
David's Bridal is a true one stop get it all store. They have everything from dresses to invitations to ceremony and reception needs. There is a dress for everyone and in everyone's price range. My dress is in their designer line and the bridesmaids dresses scream pure elegance.
I was able to buy my save the dates, which unfortunately, was the only issue I had with going through David's because they took longer than they were supposed to, BUT they did get them sent ASAP when I had called them to tell them that I still hadn't received it.
I purchased my dress at David's Bridal and recieved alterations through them. The dress itself was ridiculously on sale, but the sale price only made up for the expensive alterations. My dress needed to be shortened about 6 inches and taken in 3-sizes but $200 seemed very expensive to me. The end-result was still beautiful.
Unless they can give me the deal of a lifetime on the perfect dress, I will not be going to David's Bridal. We had a bad experience there for my friend's wedding. I mean we found nice dresses and all but the overall experience kinda sucked. One lady was downright rude, another was kind of unprofessional and made the bride-to-be really uncomfortable, and a third ditched us for another (obviously wealthier) bridal party. There was only one nice and professional person working there - I wish I could remember her name - I really liked her!
What a horror my bridesmaid dresses were from Davids. Davids was one of the only stores I found that had the dress color emerald green. My bridesmaids and myself found a dress we liked and one out of 5 girls bought their dress. I was told that if the dresses were discontinued we would be notified since 1 girl did buy her dress. Months later I took the rest of the girls to Davids to buy their dresses just to find the dresses discontinued for a while and impossible to get. The workers were useless and did nothing to assist in this situation. It wasn't until I called their customer service/corporate line did I recieve any assistance. They were able to find all the dresses in the sizes needed which was amazing and everyone got the dresses for the clearance price of $40 which was even more amazing but the headaches and the weeks it took to figure it out was hell.
I do not recommend ANY bride OR bridesmaid going to Davids Bridal. I was considering getting my bridal gown from Davids; however, I walked into the store to have a woman record my life story into a computer then to have her try to help me with a dress, while she was helping about 4-5 other brides. She would rush, put a dress on me 1/2 way, then walk away and not be back for another 1/2 hour while she waited on others, only to come back and tell me that EVERY dress that I tried on was "it". The same sort of thing happened when I brought in all 4 bridesmaids to try on dresses. No personal assistance, brides running around in chaos everywhere!
I looked around, but it was hard to beat the combination of price, selection, and size range that David's Bridal offers for bridesmaids.
I bought my wedding dress from David's Bridal. I visited both locations in San Antonio. In both cases, the staff was extremely helpful without being pushy. I'm a small person (size 0-4 depending on brand). I really liked DB because they had a good selection of size 2 and size 4 dresses (about 40 size 2, over 100 size 4). They also carry bras, veils, petticoats, shoes, and headpieces; so even if you aren't going to buy everything at once, you can try your dress on with everything to get the full effect.
I bought my dress at a David’s Bridal store. I got a really good deal on it! I also had the alterations done by David’s Bridal, but it was a bit expensive. I ordered my invitations and guest book online. They shipped both of these fast and the invitations were very organized. Since I purchased my dress at their retail store I had a coupon to get a discount on my invitations.
I gave in and bought my dress at DB in Woodbridge. My dress was amazing and just what Iwanted considering I didnt want to over spend on a dress I would wear for 6 hours. The only bad thing was the level of service when dealing with DB as a whole. We almost got our BM dresses from them but they couldnt get it together when it came to helping me pick out the right dresses and ordering. My dress was perfect for the night and I got lots and lots of compliments. Def love Woodbridge location of springfriend.
You can find awesome deals here, and even though they're busy sometimes, their associates really try hard to help you find what YOU want... not what your maid of honor/mom/nearby strangers think you want :)my dress was a designer sample, originally $1600 and was marked down to $250! it's gorgeous! exactly what i had envisioned!
I have only purchased my wedding dress here so far. They were very helpful and I found the dress I love! I will probably purchase the bridesmaids dresses and the tuxes from here also. They have a great selection to choose from. I would recommend them to everyone.
I went here to try on wedding dresses. The girl helping me was split between two other brides and, though she was as helpful as she could have been, there were definitely times when I was left on my own for a while. My mom was with me and eventually took matters into her own hands to go get dresses and veils and such. It wasn't a horrible experience, and they had some nice dresses, but I wasn't overly impressed.
Found great, reasonably priced, color coordinated dresses for bride and bridal party. Personal experience at my local store was OK. not enough employees to support high traffic times. got more individualized attn going at night 1-2 hrs before closing time. Other than that, I'm very pleased.
I ordered my wedding invitations from davidsbridal.com. They had a great selection and the best price I could find for the style I wanted. The website was easy to navigate, and the invites shipped very quickly. Everything was perfect, and they even included extra invites at no charge.
I ordered my dress from David's about a year before the wedding, and like so many other Brides, I had some problems. The staff just isn't nice! I was so excited, and they are so plain about not caring. Bad customer service. I also had a problem with a return (we bought 2 dresses from there for my mom and they wouldn't take back their own dress?). The only thing they seemed interested in was selling me something new every time I was in there. How many times can I tell you that I DO NOT WANT A TIARA!! They don't seem to care about connecting with you at all.
Great and friendly staff. Beautiful selection of dresses and bridesmaid dresses. Able to alter dress to fit my style.
I’m not a big fan of David’s. I feel like the stuff is so cookie cutter…from the shoes to the dresses to the tiara. We did end up buying the flower girl’s headpiece there. Good for budget weddings or for brides who want a one-stop shop with standard choices.
I was VERY hesitant to even try on dresses at David’s Bridal because I assumed their quality wasn’t the best and that I wouldn’t have a special and personal experience trying on dresses, like I would at a high end wedding boutique. I have to say that they definitely know what they are doing there. They made me feel like the only bride in there, even though it was a busy Sat. I found a dress that I fell in love with, plus it was on sale and I used a coupon. I know that you only where your wedding dress once and that it’s a waste to spend a fortune on it. I was looking for a nice shopping experience and that’s what I got from David’s Bridal.
The seamstress was very attentive with my (wife's)
Alterations and its costs. They took great care in helping me by adding a veil and the right shoes appropriate for the wedding dress and summer weather.
I was actually really surprised to find that David’s Bridal had an excellent selection of wedding invitations. I was looking online at wedding dresses with my mother and we noticed that there was a sale on wedding invitations. Online the wedding invitations templates are really cute, really cool looking, and very affordable. I was going to make my invitations. Instead, we made a template of what I would want my wedding invitation to look like and ordered one sample. It was of great quality, so we ordered a set of invitations and place cards. I was really happy I was able to get affordable cards that were nicer than expected. The delivery was fast, too.
I went to the location in Montclair. Very friendly and great service! I got both my dress and BM dresses. Everything came out great and exactly how I ordered them. If you order your dress through them you get lots of discounts for your BM and even your FG and mother! Can't beat the prices!
The sales associates at David's Bridal were extremely helpful and professional. They helped me pick the dress that would fit me best and dressed me up like a Barbie doll! I loved it! My mother cried because of some words of wisdom one woman gave me. They're very helpful when it comes to my bridesmaid's dresses too. I can't wait to go with my friend's to pick their dresses out.
Reasonable price. Lovely dress. While I was a touch frustrated that the saleswoman did not listen to what I wanted at first and tried instead to show me more expensive and more elaborate dresses (I'm an older, 2nd time bride), I did eventually convince her and found exactly what I wanted.
I was NOT pleased with the high-pressure sales ("you'd better get this now because it might be gone if you wait."). Back off, OK?
Beautiful dress: "Strapless chiffon A-line gown features side drape, beaded lace, and lace-up back. Sweep train. Available in White or Ivory. Style 9V9409 available in sizes 14W-26W."
Loved my experience here. I ended up buying a bridesmaids dress to wear as a bride and they gave me no flack. My person helped me and brought stuff to my room, she was very sweet!
We looked online for the mother of the bride and groom dresses. When we found what we wanted we went directly to the store looked up the item and was done. Quick simple and easy!

They were okay, I am upset that I could have gotten a much better price if I had gone to a local tailor.
Bridal Gown:
Pleasantly surprised by the courtesy and service. Though with it being such a huge chain it might lack in both departments but they were good.
Bridesmaid's Dresses:
They were pretty pricey for a dress they would wear only once but you cant beat the selection of colors and styles.
We originally ordered our invitations online from David's Bridal, and that experience was just HORRIBLE. The customer service was horrible and plain rude. We kept calling to have our invitations corrected, but they kept giving us attitude. To top it all off, even though we ordered everything correctly on our end, they messed up BIG TIME on theirs. First, they print on the WRONG invitations. When we call them to tell them that, it was a battle just to have them say that they will fix it, which they never did. Ended up having to order our invitations from Exclusively Weddings.
Alterations:
Took longer than expected, but the alterations were good.
Wedding gown/ Bridesmaid's Dresses:
Lots to choose from. Very crowded, so the individualized attention wasn’t there. But we were able to find something for everyone with Mix & Match separates.
The online shop is full of dresses and you can view each one using an interactive 360 degree viewing. I loved the dress I picked- a halter- and thought the price was very reasonable (less than 200.00). As soon as we paid, the dress was shipped. It arrived quickly and fit perfectly. The online sizing chart was very accurate.
Bridal Gown:
I had a problem with them honoring a coupon that was given out at the bridal show. It took several phone calls and several people to get situation resolved
It was the best choice I could go with considering all but one of my bridesmaids were out of state. The color selections were nice and everything turned out okay in the end, but the alterations were way too pricey for the work performed.
I bought mine at the David's in Oxnard. We didn't even have an appointment and the sales staff was very helpful in finding EXACTLY what I wanted: A long-sleeve dress with a sweetheart neck. I found the one of my dreams and it was discontinued -- so I got a HUGE discount on it. :)
I had a great time looking for my dress. My bridal consultant was wonderful. She worked with me when I totally changed what style of dress I was looking for, and went and found the new dresses for me. The only problem I had was they couldn't find me in the appointment book, but they still fit me in.
They were very helpful with giving me a lot of dresses to try on. The only downside is they are often very busy and don't take the time to really "dress" you up. They didn't put a veil on me, or jewelry. I didn't feel like a real bride. I ended up getting my bridesmaid dresses there because they have a lot to choose from, but not my wedding gown.
The staff were very helpful and had a great variety of dresses. The prices were very reasonable and it was very easy for my bridesmaids to order their dresses online from all over the country.
easy to find dresses. Wonderful staff. Also easy to use their online services. they have so many others vendors if you need them such as limo services, tux services, cake and banquets searches. They also have after marriage services, forms you need to change after your names changes.
We had a very wonderful experience picking out the wedding dress and accessories. You set an appointment and you are placed with a person who helps you through the entire event and making you feel like a princess.
I went to David's Bridal to check out their gowns and was not impressed with their selection or the attendant they assigned to me. I told the attendant I didn't want a veil, yet somehow ended up with her sticking 3 veils in my hair at one time. I did, however, like their bridesmaid dress selection and ended up ordering those. I called often to make sure the orders were on track and they did arrive on time and looked great.
They have a beautiful selection of gowns and accessories, but alterations are expensive. You would think they would be cheaper being such a big company, but they aren't.
Lots of variety and colours to select from. Your bridesmaids can try the dress in her size to ensure it fits before it's ordered.
David's Bridal has an excellent selection of Bridesmaid Dresses! I found my bridesmaid dresses at David's Bridal in Manchester, Connecticut, and my bridesmaids only paid $50 each. I loved the dresses, and so did my bridesmaid's. They had many colors to choose from, and many styles and fabrics. I did not consider shopping anywhere else for my bridesmaid dresses. The nice option also is that I had the choice of ordering the dresses in Florida, and my bridesmaids in Connecticut could get them there, however I did not need to do this, as I found the perfect dresses in Connecticut and bought them right on the spot.
I don’t really feel that this store is the greatest place to get your dress. It’s obvious they are trying to make the sale and aren’t very personal.
i picked a very elegent tea length dress and a sash to go with it and it was all on sale that day we went and it was so wonderful to have my girls be happy to be party of big day
My girls really loved that they wore diff tops and still looked coordinated. The sales people were very helpful as well.
I had a really good experience with David's Bridal. They were very professional and my consultant was friendly and not pushy, and she seemed to get a good idea of what I wanted. In fact, the dress I ended up choosing was one that she picked out, although I had saved it to my favorites on their website. It is all-over lace, which at any other retailer would have been an exorbitant price, but I got it for $100 off the original price, which was not very expensive to begin with (comparatively). I also bought my veil, jewelry, slip, and flowers for my hair at the same time.
When I went in for my appointment, they took my contact information, asked me about my wedding and the style of dress I envisioned, and had me look around and pull dresses that I liked. All the gowns were kept in clear garment bags so they were in very good shape. Also, my consultant provided me with a slip and corset to wear underneath while I was trying dresses on, which was really nice.
I had my alterations done at DB as well, and that went completely smoothly. The dress arrived sooner than anticipated, and I received an email to tell me it had come in. It fit nicely when it came in and only had to be taken in a little; they also did a beautiful bustle on the train. When I came in for my second fitting, everything was perfect, and when I took the dress home the seamstress packed it very nicely on a mannican bust so that it will retain its shape. Since I bought my dress so early, they are letting me bring it back just before my wedding for a complimentary steam, instead of steaming it before I took it home. The whole process, from choosing my dress to taking it home, took about 2 months I think.
I am not a fan of DB's return policy. You can exchange things for items of equal value, but you can't get any money back once you buy something. I have also heard that you cannot exchange a wedding dress, but I didn't try myself so I don't know what the policy on that is.
DB has their own line of credit which includes 12 months of no payments and no interest, so I can pay my dress off without having to pay any interest, which is great. Application did not take very long and the amount I was approved for allowed me to make my entire purchase with the credit card.
I love my dress and I had a really great time trying on all the gowns at DB. I would go there again in a heartbeat.
I know, if I said once I will probably say it again right?! David's Bridal was the absolute best place I found anywhere around here for a flower girl dress. I searched everywhere from Once Upon A Child, to second Wedding Shops downtown where they sell wedding attire that was only worn once, to shops that sell white, plain baptism gowns for children of any size, and I went right back to where I started at David's Bridal. They have such a great selection of dresses from the ones that match real close to the bride's dress to dresses that can be spruced up with ribbons and sashes that match the color of your wedding. The dresses for the little girls were absolutely adorable and perfect for just about any style of wedding. I made sure to go in a few times and look like when they had their change of season gowns so I could get a feel for two different lines and I went in when they had some sales a few different times. I went in with the flower girl and tried the dresses on after having a chance to go in and look at the dresses myself just to see what I though I liked and then what I found I really liked and I was shocked at how it all changed once she had the dresses on. David's Bridal employees were great at working with me to add some color in some of the dresses to show me how I could change them around and they looked like a completely different dress when you try some of the little tricks they have! And don't forget her hair, it is just as important to her as your hair is to you! :) David's Bridal has some really good options for making the flower girl feel extra special that day in her dress and in her hair that day as well without having to have her hair pulled back in a bunch of bobby pins she might end up pulling out before the ceremony even starts. And the bonus, if the bride buys her wedding gown at David's Bridal, the rest of the wedding party gets a discount on all of their wedding attire and the bride gets a discount on any party dresses she wants to buy for all those bridal showers and bachelorette party you are going to be having! Definitely consider them for these important girls on your important day!
I really disliked this company very much. I signed up online on their webpage for the chance to win a bridal dress, and then a few weeks later I started to receive emails even thought I’m pretty sure I clicked the box that said I wasn’t interested in receiving emails about their promotions. I was also really surprised to receive a call from Men’s Wearhouse saying that they would book my husband for a fitting. I really don’t like when my contact information is distributed, and for this reason I don’t like the company. I feel like if they distribute a potential client’s information, or bombard a client with emails, then they really don’t understand or care about customer service.
Good selection, I found the perfect dress. The girls got red gowns that looked outstanding.
We purchased our wedding invitations from David's Bridal. A great variety of invitations at competitive prices. It’s an even better deal if you buy your gown at David’s Bridal and receive the coupon book. Good quality and good turn-around time.
Alterations:
The dresses were altered well and they fit us nice.
Wedding Gown:
My gown was gorgeous. The price was reasonable – I went for the $99 sale.
Bridesmaid's Dresses:
The bridesmaids could actually buy their gowns at the store without having to order them. Lots of dresses to choose from.
David's Bridal has a huge selection. Any style any color and shoes to go with the dresses. Only disappointment is the dress on the website was a completely different color from the dress my bridesmaids received. Their website say the colors are slightly different, in my case there was a huge difference. I had picked a terracotta colored dress and the dress was not terracotta, it was a salamander color. My advice to future brides, browse through the website but make a trip to David's Bridal and see the color in person.
After going everywhere else I ended up at David's as a last resort. I ended up finding the perfect dress and paying less than $400 for it. They lost a star for the alterations, but that doesn't surprise me based on the other reviews.
My bridesmaids were on quite a lower budget and this place fit the bill. The girl who helped us was a little bit rude but she did help us find what we all were looking for. They are very affordable and the dresses are very nice.
You're just another bride. All they're concerned about is their commission. Be prepared for it to be crowded, unorganized, and overpriced. The only reason I used them for my girls' dresses is because I loved the dress. It wasn't an actual bridesmaids dress. It was really unique.
I got my jewelry here I really like it and they had a great selection.
My bridesmaids and I were very pleased with the results of our purchases at David's Bridal in Monrovia, CA. I had four bridesmaids of different sizes and shapes... I used the David's Bridal website to pick out the style and color of their dresses ahead of time. We went into the store and tried everything on a couple of times. Our order arrived properly and with more than enough time to make sure everything fit. I even bought a back-up outfit for myself in case I got tired of wearing my wedding dress (which was handmade and NOT from David's Bridal). The associates were friendly and very helpful. Highest marks!
I loved my dress! But they were really slow at getting my alterations done. A week before the wedding this still wasn't complete. Only when I got upset and talked to a manager did I feel like they were going to do something.
I got my dress and had it altered at the Tampa store. Ask for Kerry Trombetta. She was very patient and professional with me. I had no problems with the purchase or alterations.
My dress-shopping experience with David's Bridal felt like I was the only customer in a private boutique, and the woman who helped me effortlessly found dresses that look stunning on me. I haven't made a choice on a dress yet, but when I do, I will probably go with David's Bridal. My only complaint in that in the process of signing up for my consultation, I had to give them my name and contact information, which they then sold on to third-party customers. I get mysterious phone calls on my private line all the time now and for the first time I am actually considering putting my number on a do not call list. That is definitely NOT a boutique experience.
David’s Bridal has the best alterations, I waited to do my alterations until a week two weeks before my wedding and they had my dress ready the week before. I will be sending all of my girlfriends to David’s Bridal in Frisco, TX (9288 State Highway 121 Suite #100, Frisco, Texas 75035)
My sisters got their dresses from David's Bridal. They both live in different cities, so it was nice to know they had to option of getting their dresses and fittings when it worked from them. Unfortunately, my younger sister did have some trouble with getting her alterations done on time.
I had a great experience working with David's Bridal. Their associates were very useful in helping me choose a dress, veil, headpiece, etc. They were very friendly and upbeat, and treated me like a princess! They actually helped me try on the dresses, unlike some bridal shops that I previously went to. They were everything that I was looking for in a full-service bridal shop. The dress also comes in at a decent time. The only thing I did not like was that some of their merchandise was a little overpriced. But they have such a great selection and a great rewards program!
Quick and reliable. Very easy to work with. Probably the easiest part of the whole wedding!
David's is great because it has dresses of all sizes - and some of our bridesmaids were plus size girls. My wife paid $99 for her dress. Need I say more?
I knew what dress I wanted from day one. I'd actually picked it out 2 years prior to the wedding and started there. I was very happy with the quality of my dress and the veil and other items that I purchased here, but the customer service was horrible. Not once when I went in there did we ever feel welcomed or like they really wanted to help. So we would just go in and do our own thing without the help of the people there. They have great selections and lots of colors, which is why I picked them to get all of our dresses there. The other good thing if you buy your dress from David's Bridal you get money off on your bridesmaids dresses and the tuxes if you get them from the places that they recommend.
I had a total of 5 brides maids and 1 maid of honor, we purchased all the dresses but one from David's bridal my dresses were purchased from Texas to New Mexico so it made it very convenient for all of us because they are such a big chain. In the color that i picked for the wedding they had so many dresses to choose from there was no fighting over who wore what. They all got to pick the dress they wanted. The reason i didn’t pick the maid of honors dress from them was we wanted her to stand out just a little more then the rest of them. Just to tell you how much they have to choose from my sister drove in from New Mexico and had purchased her dress there, when she got here it really didn’t go with everyone else's. this was the day before the wedding so we rushed over there and they had so many to choose from she bought another one and returned the one she bought in New Mexico. we all almost freaked out so it was a good way to end our drama.
I got my dress at David's - I really loved it. We actually found our bridesmaid's dresses and flower girl dresses there too. The bridesmaids dresses were tea length and white with black flowers. Very cute and fun!! They were very different, but looked great and everyone one at the wedding was talking about them.
My dress was gorgeous! The people who work at the David's Bridal near Bassett place that helped me were a little clueless though... don't go in if you don't know what you are doing! The value for the cost is good, but do your research before you go into DB. You will save a LOT of time if you already know what you are looking for. I bought my dress the 2nd time I went in, and it was easy because I got the numbers of all of the dresses I liked from the website, went to the store and tried them all on and picked the best one.
The David's $99 Sale is for real. I walked in - fought through the crowd - dug around a little bit - tried on 4 gowns and walked out with "the one." Nothing could have been easier or cheaper. I was thrilled! I actually felt bad that my gown cost less than my bridesmaids' gowns. But theirs were only $25 more than mine was. And they were beautiful.
Gown: David’s Bridal was a surprising experience for both of us as a nervous wreck couple, preparing for our wedding and running out of time. As I remember we had about 3 weeks prior to our wedding date the day we walked into the Albuquerque location. As shopping for a wedding dress is mass confusion if nothing is planned in mind, David’s Bridal has a nice selection for every budget, more importantly a nice selection for a low budget (unlike many shops). The staff were interested, welcome and more interested in making our day as special as possible within our budget than making us feel like our wedding would be more special the more we spent in their shop. (Been there done that…..). They performed all alterations for my wife themselves (what little was required – nearly a perfect fit).
Alterations: Outstanding alterations although minimal required.
I hate David's Bridal. It's a zoo! The only reason I chose to get my bridesmaids dresses there is because five were out of state and also because my bridesmaids were of all heights and sizes. For these reasons, they have a lot of options in a lot of sizes. But, don't count on personalized service, and count on frustration with the long lines and crowds of rude people.
Really disappointed with this shop! Service quality does not match the prices. First few times I was in the shop service was mediocre. When I had to return for fittings and other services, shop was busy and I had alot of trouble getting helped. If consistent good quality service is of value to you, I whole heartedly encourage you to look elsewhere. Too many other chioces that are a better value to pay high prices and be overlooked.
David's Bridal had a large selection and beautiful gowns. I would recommend going during the week because it is a lot less busy. Stores (particularly on weekends) can be swamped with brides-to-be. This store has lots of different labels to choose from like Gloria Vanderbilt, Lady Eleanor, Oleg Cassini and others. There were many people from their staff that were eager to help you and give their honest opinion. Sometimes it is hard to find the dress in the exact size that you need but they can always order it. Make sure that you go in plenty of time in case they have to order your dress. It takes around three months for summer weddings! My dress was lace but completely beaded and cost approximately $600.
I loved the selection of the bridesmaid dresses at David's Bridal! They had tons of colors and styles of each dress. The one problem was that since you are able to buy the dress right off the rack, sometimes they do not have many sizes to try on. When I picked the bridesmaid's dresses they only had a size 2 and 10 for my bridesmaids to try on! It was so easy going in there knowing that each of my girls would be able to pick the same style of dress and could choose different straps or wraps for each to feel comfortable and unique. My girls dresses were around $125 not including the alterations. Most girls will need alterations made to their dress unless they are fairly tall. Again, it will was about two or three months order time (plus another two months for summer weddings) for the alterations.
The ladies that did the alterations at David's Bridal did an okay job but were MUCH more expensive than if you were to find an alterations place separate from David's Bridal. I had some trouble with them when they hemmed the bottom of my dress. When I went back to try it on the front and back lengths of the dress did not match and they had to fix it. That means extra trips to and from the store and of course fighting all the other bride's getting fitted for their dresses! Make sure and make an appointment ahead of time and give yourself plenty of time for them to fix anything that you are not satisfied with. Because of the beading on my dress to have the alterations done was about $230.
They did not receive 5 stars because it was annoying that you couldn’t grab the dresses you want, the salesperson had to grab each one (you weren’t allowed to grab dresses). Otherwise, good service, reasonable prices are why I gave it 4 stars.
I found a simple dress for 200.00. They fitted me too!
I got my dress here but I had a hard time finding a dress that will fit my body type. But they managed to find one with a headache for me. But the dress looked good on me.
Good selection & the alterations were perfect!
He rented his suit here, he didn't complain so I figure he had great service. The suit looked good on him.
horrible customer service very rude people dress selection was not good. they didn't have many of the plus size dresses to try on.
Wow what a selection, my girls were very pleased with what they picked out, I was able to have coordinating colors. My girls looked beautiful!
I was very happy with the dress I chose at David's Bridal. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed with their customer service. I had an appointment and it was during the week, but our salesperson always seemed to be off doing something else. They have got great dresses, but don't expect top notch service. Make sure you have people with you to help you in and out of the dresses. I think they have gotten too commercial. After we bought my dress and the bridesmaid dresses, spent hundreds of dollers there, they actually wanted to charge us $2 each for color swatches! Can you believe it?
This was for my wedding dress, the orginal price on it was $1,100. The sale price was suppose to be $700 and when we got to checkouts it was only $570 that was a great gift in itself.
We really enjoyed getting the special treatment. We had one person help us with all our dresses. We also got everything with a discount.
Georgeous dress that fit my body perfectly- and I am nopt easy to fit. I felt like I'd bought something expensive but saved tons. by choosing something simple and clean it only made it that much more elegant. I don't know why this place is looked down on. It was a zoo shopping there but it only made it that much more exciting. I talk up David's Bridal every chance I get.
When going to David's Bridal in Maple Grove, MN they told me when I set up my appointment they would have my favorites from the website pulled. When I arrived they didn't know I had favorites and refused to look at them to pull them. So we went through their book and gave the sales associate numbers for the gowns I wanted to try on. She pulled one of the 15 styles I gave to her. She brought dresses she thought I would like instead of the ones I asked to see. Needless to say, I did not order my dress there as they were very rude and didn't help much at all.
David's Bridal has elegant and sophisticated designer wedding gowns to satisfy the style preferences of any bride. They have over 50 years of bridal experience and knowledge. They also offer matching accessories (shoes, jewelry, handbags, gloves, headpieces)
I found my dress and my bridesmaids for a good price.
I liked that they provided the slip and bra and shoes to wear with the dresses you try on. The thing I didn't like was the extremely low selection of modest dresses to choose from. If you wanted to make something modest, you would have to spend at least 200 extra dollars to make it presentable.
Found my dress here. Not to expensive they have a good selection of dresses.
I had a great experience picking out my dress and the wedding party stuff. The ladies that helped me were wonderful.
David's Bridal has a huge selection with tons of colors to choose from. The dresses are pretty inexpensive as well.
They ordered the wrong dress for my maid of honor but they did correct the situation eventually. I like their dresses though I just think they're a bit too popular and overdone now.
Your basic wedding/bridesmaid dress factory. But they really were great. I didn't want my girls to have to spend a fortune but I really did want actual bridesmeaid dresses. They were very accomadating and I really liked that since they have so many nationwide locations, my girls from out of town could go and get measured and order right where they were.
David's Bridal in Natick is where i got my wedding dress & my bridesmaids dresses. I worked with Shawna & she was very helpful. The dresses came in ahead of their planned arrival date and were fine. I also used them for alterations. I felt the alterations were a little on the expensive side for what I needed done - just bustle and hem, but I don't know much about that stuff.
They are all about selling you the complete package - shoes, veil, tiara, undergarments, and accessories. I found that some of their stuff was overpriced and not of the highest quality. But if you are looking for a 1-stop shop and don't care about the costs, they do have it all.
I still have not found the dress I want, but I know that when I find the right one it will be perfect. And they have a really great selection for bridesmaids as well.
The dress is gorgeous and they helped me pick out just what I wanted! They also made getting the bridesmaid's dresses easy and affordable!
We really liked the rented tux from the Houston location on San Felipe.
David's Bridal was fabulous! David's Bridal was the very first place my five bridesmaids, mom, and I went to look for dresses, and it was also the last: we found my dress, the flowergirl dress, bridesmaids dresses, and my mom's dress in just 3 hours on that very day! We had a helper named Lauren, and she was wonderful. I told her kind of what we were looking for, and she came back with lots of dresses for me to choose from, and she even chose dresses that she thought I might like just in case: and sure enough, the dress I ended up buying was one I didn't really want to try on, but Lauren told me just to try it because you never know. And sure enough, I loved it when I put it on. My bridesmaids found a perfect dress that looked beautiful on each of the bridesmaids different body types, and since it was black and stylishly simple, they each have already worn them again!
Prices: My dress was on sale for $350, my mom's dress was on sale for $120, my bridesmaids dresses were on sale for $90, and the flowergirl dress was on sale for $60. We were all extremely pleased with how little we paid because we had budgeted for more. It was a really great experience at David's Bridal: oh, and our dresses arrived early, too!
I was lucky to find the perfect dress for me pretty fast and also they had a sale going on at that time. The alterations were pretty expensive, but over-all service was good. I would not go to them for bridesmaids dresses: their color selections aren't too good and they are a lot more expensive than going to a local bridal boutique. Also, don't let them push you into buying any other accessories that you don't really need: bustier, bras, veils, and so forth. They have a decent collection of shoes as well, which was a plus for me since I could not find white shoes anywhere else.
The girls will be wearing dresses from Davids Bridal. The downside is that some of them are more generic/ typical bridesmaid looking. The upside is that there is a wide variety of items to choose from.
I shopped here for the dress I purchased. I was very happy with my wedding dress!
David's Bridal (Novi): A+
Our sales consultant was one of the few vendors to remember me when I went back to place an order. Her name is Emily and she tried very hard to be helpful. Shipping was faster than expected, too.
They're very popular, but this place was disgusting! Not my idea of the place to take your bridal party.
The lady who helped me at Davids Bridal didnt know what she was talking about. I tried on a size 4, which was too big. I asked to see a size 2 and she wouldnt even let me try it on telling me she didnt think I could fit. Instead, I had to bring it to get altered and the alteration specialist said I should have gotten a size smaller. I had to pay a couple hundred more dollars to have it altered.
Bridesmaids dresses looked so cool.
You can't get better quality for the price. Problems are that the customer service is poor and the would rather push you out the door and have you come back another time than have a few people getting help at a time. Fitting can be difficult as you can only try on dresses they have in stock, and they do not always have all sizes of a dress available -- therefore, you have to try on something similar and order a size... then deal with it if it doesn't fit right. The alterations are expensive, too. But they do have everything you could possibly need for your wedding clothing!
If your stuck for bridesmaids dresses and cant stand another argument about what everyone will be wearing, please do yourself a favor and send them to Davids Bridal. You can even see a virtual picture of your wedding, were everyone stands nicely (and not yelling at eachother)and looks virtually picture perfect.
If you need them to be modest, there are options for covering up 'boobage' and making sure your priest or rabbi doesn't have a heart attack when he sees them coming down the aisle.
This has my stamp of approval... and it's just sooo easy to do!
www.davidsbridal.com
They have the most adorable flower girl dresses!!! (Without busting your budget for something the girl will only wear once)
I found the most beautiful $600.00 dress on clearance for just $100.00. The sales people were helpful and put up with me spending over an hour wandering through the store to look at many different dresses. My only disappointment is that they did their jobs as salesmen and talked me into buying $400.00 in accessories (veil, headpiece, shoes and corset) that I could have gotten much more cheaply from another vendor. But then I am sure the accessories I got at David's Bridal are a higher quality than a department store such as Target.
I picked out my bridesmaid dress here because most of my bridesmaids came to my wedding from all over the country and David's Bridal has multiple stores across the U.S. I picked out the dress I wanted, the store built a profile for me, and my bridesmaids were able to go into their individual stores to try on and order the dress. Definitely a good place to shop if your wedding party is scattered across the country.
David’s Bridal sold me the most perfect wedding gown I could have imagined. Their tailors were fast and efficient, and they made my gown look beautiful on me, as if it was custom-made just for me. The thing I love most about David’s Bridal is that the saleswomen were helpful, but not pushy.
I shopped here for a dress and veil and got neither one from them. They are overpriced and too busy for personal attention. I ended up getting my veil from Ebay for a fraction of the price that they were selling theirs.
Great service, easy to work with and you can't beat their prices! They have a huge variety of dresses. I found my wedding dress there and the mother of the bride dress. I also ordered my save the date cards on their website and I was very happy with them!
My bridesmaids and flower girl bought their attire here. I thought that they did a great job with how they handled the bridesmaids dresses. I just wish I had bought my dress here too because it would have made life a little easier. Plus they offer the bridal party a discount if the bride buys her dress at David's! The dresses were beautiful. I highly recommend David's!
David’s Bridal is NOT the place to go if you want a unique wedding dress. Simply put, they offer “cookie cutter” designs at low prices. However, their selection of accessories is wonderful – think headpieces, jewelry, and even adorable bride/groom gifts.
dresses were perfect, staff was not very friendly and open to help
Reasonable price for nice dresses.
Low prices. My dress was fancy, but still inexpensive.
This was for the Jr. Bridesmaid dress...she's 12 and will grow out of it! Waste of money! David's is over priced...and the color didn't really even coordinate as they said it would!
They were very helpful with what I wanted. I knew exactly what I wanted my dress to look like and they did a great job with alterations. They even made sleeves for me that they had never done before and it's really cool because the sleeves are made from the fabric they took off the bottom of the gown and the sleeves are actually detachable so I can dance at the reception with my tall husband! Alterations were great, but several times they lost my bridesmaids' names and/or sizes. Overall, I got what I wanted for a good price and I'm pretty satisfied with the customer service.
David's Bridal was great for us. There was no pressuring and I found the prices to be very reasonable. The ladies were really helpful and truly listened to what I want. They were kind and did a great job finding dresses that matched my taste. There weren't quite as many options for my bridesmaids as I would have liked, but still... there were options for them as well. I'd recommend at least starting at David's Bridal.
Found my dress for a very good price. I was very happy with the customer service and dress.
We rented my husbands suit from here, he absolutely loved it.
David's Bridal has so many different gowns to choose from. I truly looked like a queen and did not have to spend my entire life's savings. They have this cool thing were they can preserve your wedding dress for many years to come, it just takes three weeks. But we were on our honeymoon so the time didn't matter. Also, they were able to dye my shoes to match my dress. Very Cool! I really enjoyed working with them.
It is a wonderful place to get a great-priced wedding dress, but no one should ever feel like a number when preparing for their wedding. It is a tad too commercialized for my taste.
My dress looked great on me but it was a hassle finding one my size. But they helped me and altered it.
VERY NICE SELECTION! WAS ABLE TO CUSTOMIZE, MIX AND MATCH! AND BROWSE ONLINE! A DECENT PRICE FOR WHAT WE GOT TOO!
Beautiful flower girl dresses with a wonderful selection to choose from! After trying on dresses all day long... it became a quick process when we went to David's Bridal.
