Davids Bridal

I thought David's Bridal might be the last place I would find my dress since it seemed so "cookie cutter." I was pleasantly surprised, however. They have many more dresses than boutiques have for a much better price. Although, there were several dresses I didn't care for, they did have some that were elegant and beautiful. I ended up buying my wedding dress for $500 and it is stunning. ( Also, they do have other colors than stark white. My wedding dress is soft white.) The service I received was good too. The lady who helped me was down to earth and gave me her honest opinion. Give David's Bridal a chance. You might find THE dress and save hundreds of dollars in doing so!

My bridesmaids were all from out of state/out of country so Davids Bridal was the only choice. I would not recommend them to anyone. Every single David's bridal told us different information. Nobody could ever find my account. One of my bridesmaids did not receive her wrap with her dress despite the fact that it was ordered with the dress and at the store where she picked it up.

I loved my dress, but felt like I was downplayed in my alterations needs at the time of purchase. When I met with the seamstress, she had lots of recommendations (original was only to take up the neck of my halter) that when she pinned in place made the dress fit and look so much better. Got the dress for a great price, but spent half as much to have it altered as I paid for the dress itself. They really came through for me though, a week before the wedding when I realized that my wedding day was going to be cooler than expected and helped me pick out the perfect wrap and way to wear it.

Although I did not purchase my gown at David's Bridal, I do need to give props to Jenny, one of the consultants at the Gateway location in Austin. She was very very patient as I tried on essentially every dress in the store. She was also happy to stay late even when I was there past the store closing time. Never did I feel rushed or felt like a burden to her - she was always there and happy to help. Even after I told her I was not purchasing a dress from their store, she called just to check in on how I was doing. If any brides go to David's Bridal I highly recommend speaking with Jenny!

They have a ton of dresses, but I had no clue where to start & the staff wasn't very helpful either. If I truly had no other options I would certainly have purchased my dress here, but everything I liked seemed to fall within the price ranges of other bridal shops so I opted to purchase elsewhere.

The one convenient thing about David's is that because my entire bridal party were in different states, it was easy for us to match colors since my bridesmaids were wearing different styles of dresses. However, since the store is so huge, I felt like I was in a supermarket of dresses where people were hired without a lot of experience. I didn't feel like we got a lot of one on one attention and getting some items were difficult because the colors were discontinued. The dresses came out fine, but I felt they were overpriced for the product and the service that we received.

My bridesmaids all got their dresses here. They had the exact color we were looking for & several different styles to choose from so I tink all my girls were pleased.

They have such a huge selection. Be sure to order early. I'm a smaller size so they definitely had to order mine in, but when it came in I was more than pleased & it didn't cost a fortune.

Found my dress & bridesmaids dresses on the first trip! We had fun trying on dresses & everyone was all smiles because it wasn't as expensive as we thought it would be.

I got my dream dress for very cheap and the woman I worked with understood exactly what I wanted.

I loved my dress from David's Bridal. I like the convenience of the store and the fact that they seem to have the process down well. I was very happy with the price of my dress too - it was less than my husband's suit!

I had a wonderful experience at David's Bridal and it was all because of the woman that helped me, Paige (Austin store). She was so sweet and really acted like she cared about my wedding dress. She was so so helpful and lugged dress after dress for me. It's great that they store your information and the bridal party can get a dress anywhere in the country. And TUX has men's coordinates. Some of my bridal party did not have good experiences (mainly d/t the staff they worked with). In Waco we were completely ignored and did everything for ourselves. Didn't even get greeted at the front, we just got the dresses we wanted and secured our own changing rooms.

My mother knew the branch manager which I have no doubt helped us in service (but no, we did not get a discount). I found my dress three months before the wedding and it was altered and everything in time (barely!). I had some major alterations too! I had a private appt to choose my dress so had great attention and help. They were a little pushy about the veil, but caved in to my request for none. I had only a maid of honor and had let her get her own dress as long as it was "sage-ish" in color. She bought it there on clearance and they even looked it up for me so that I could know exactly what color it was (our schedules hadn't allowed me to see it except in pictures yet).It's also definately cheaper than most places which was great on a budget.

Although my dress was beautiful, it was tough finally getting one. Not only did it take forever to get a convenient appointment, but then the fittings were even harder. The people were nice, but their schedules were so hard. Then when I finally got in for a fitting, they didn't take the correct measurements and it had to be altered twice.

David's Bridal has a good range of dresses, in style and price. The bad thing about them is how long it takes for alterations, etc. If you're in a rush, be prepared to pay extra and to worry about your wedding dress/wedding party's attire to be pushing the deadline. I ordered everything almost a year before the wedding, and still had some close calls getting the proper attire in. Overall, the quality of the alterations and the gowns is just fine, considering everything is worn for just a day! I felt so much better knowing that I spent hundreds, instead of thousands like other brides, on one very special day.

The experience was very positive as I was given several styles of dresses to try on, and once having found my dress was given several accessory options. I did not feel the salesperson was directing me towards the most expensive items in each category. I felt like she was trying to stay tuned to the style I was attempting to capture as a bride. It was very affordable with very friendly service. I ended up buying my veil, shoes, and undergarments all there. I received a discount book with coupons for dress cleanings, alterations, and other services for before and after the wedding.

They had the dress I loved at a great price and the bridesmaids dresses were all reasonably priced. We order from site and they shipped them to the out of town girls homes for $15 which was not bed. We only purchased the gowns and fittings were done elsewhere.

While my dress turned out ok it was a disaster. Alterations weren't done properly or in a timely fashion, when I went to my first fitting they hadn't even started the alterations with no good explanation. You get what you pay for I guess.
