I went several times to pick the perfect dress at David's Bridal. I'm not a dress person at all. Most of the staff were helpful and nice when helping me choose my gown. I love the Vera Wang White colllection they carry, but would have liked for them to have more sizes to try on. Many times, they had one or two sizes in each dress. I did end up purchasing a Vera, but had to come back and see about getting another one, due to health issues. The dress I had initially picked out was too heavy and needed to pick something different and much lighter for my body. While David's Bridal was willing to work with me in trading my dress in because I hadn't had it altered yet, they had a policy of purchasing an equal or more expensive gown ( or store credit). Fortunately, I did like another Vera gown about the same cost and bought a sash with it. All in all, I found my dream dress there, so it really was all for the best. I also purchased my shoes from there which I love.
Alterations at David's Bridal were okay. They gave me my dress on time but had to adjust the alterations once to get it right.
I would recommend David's for the value you get there...and Vera Wang!!
I purchase all of my bridesmaids and flower girl gowns here. The selection is wonderful and the service was great. When one of the girls' dresses came in too small they were able to order and ship a new one to her in a remote location with not hassle and on time.
I really enjoyed my experience at Davids Bridal. I love my wedding dress and I choose one color and let my bridesmaids all pick out their own dresses. I did feel like the workers were struggling too hard to "make a sale" I feel like the girl who helped me really would have sold me anything. Overall Davids bridal is really decently priced and I had a good experience.
The only thing I was satisfied with was the cost of my dress. I caught a decent sale and got a $1000 dress for $250, part of the reason was because they discontinued it. I was not happy with the service, the sales person spent more time with other brides to be than she did with me. She rushed me out. The alterations department did a beautiful job I was just unhappy with the cost. I actually refused to have them hem the bottom of my dress because of the cost, and they charged me $185 to put 3 bussels on and spaghetti string straps. I wish I had done some "shopping around" before having them do it. Part of the problem was the salesperson, she mislead me to believe that they would do the small details for free since I bought my dress from them. NOT TRUE at all. Most brides have a great time shopping for their dress, I hated it!
Ann was a godsend. My first trip there was a nightmare and then manager Ann stepped in and personally assisted me until i found just the right dress for me and my girls!! The only thing i didnt not like was that even tiaras cannot be returned once purchased.
