davids bridal has some beautiful gowns, and i must say mine was PERFECT in every way. my husband, myself, and everyone loved it. i did not like the way davids people ran things though. i was talked into buying a dress to small for me, so when i gained 3-4 lbs. i couldn't put it on. then the alterations were unreal, they said they needed to buy more fabric for me to fit and charged me an arm and a leg. so i went somewhere else and she fixed it perfectly for so much less, and she never once had to buy any fabric!!!!

I cannot remember the lady who helped me, but she was the one who encouraged me to try on a dress that I would not have on my own. That dress ended up being "the one". I love it!

I would not recommend this place. It was a zoo every time I went in. I got so mad because on three occasions I made appointments and all three times I received very little one-on-one help. It was not the dress selecting experience I imagined. The dresses are in rough shape and dirty. They sell the gowns right off the rack which I did not like at all. I paid $699 for my gown and another $250 for alterations plus another $200 for undergarments & $50 for shoes. Not worth it at all. I would highly recommend visiting another upscale bridal studio to gown shop. I made my bridesmaids go somewhere else for gowns. The telemarketing will drive you insane as well. They called my phone so much I had to block the number. The staff are not on the same page at this place.

We got my bridesmaids dresses at Davids and didn't seem to have much trouble picking one out, but we did it with absolutely no help from our sales woman. I had made an appointment for 6 girls but only one dressing room was assigned to us. After the lady finally opened up 2 more dressing rooms for us, it went a little smoother. When we got the dresses, most of them had fitting problems and weren't sized correctly so they had to be altered.I gave Davids such a low score because I went in to try on a wedding dress and they schedule so many appointments that EVERY time I came out of the dressing room with a gown on I would hit somene. Not only that but then I wouldhave to wait for a podium because they would all be taken. Even more my consultant wasn't there for just me, she had 2 other people she was taking care of as well and so it took a lot longer than it should have. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time.

Dress, Shoes, Flower girl basket, Pillow and Bridesmaids dresses all came from Davids Bridal. Rachael was my primary associate and never failed to periodically check with me as to whether everyone was fitted! She was so sweet and easy to get along with. She was also professional and very organized. My dress fit great and the value for the cost was amazing! Our wedding colors were regency purple and kelly green...they looked AMAZING together. I also wore regency peep toe pumps which I got on sale for $19 and Davids dyed them and they were fierce and flawless!! I truly love Davids but my only issue was that I had about 5 weeks left prior to the wedding and they were unable to order the hair clips I needed for the little girls (they claimed that the would not arrive on time). I really felt as though they could have overridden the command and I would not have complained if they did not arrive on time since they were only $15. Also, I was unaware when getting the preservation kit that I had to pay extra money for extra items (undergarments, accessories) and fixes; i should have been told this upon purchase as I ended up paying $50 extra to the preservation company. Oh and I do not like the no return/exchange policy!!! Anyway, other than that I really loved my dress and the service...WE WERE ALL GORGEOUS!!!

Ryan is awesome! For the budget bride, you can certainly find what you need!

I bought my dress at Davids Bridal in Richmond and I was very pleased with it and the customer service. However, I am a plus size and their selection wasnt that great at the time I went there. I tried on about 8 dresses but some of them didnt feel right becasue i had to try on dresses that were to big or to small. However the dress I bought was beautiful and looked great on me. The people are much friendlier here than other David Bridals I have been too.

We LOVED our bridesmaid & flowergirl dresses! They were perfect and a few of my bridesmaids have already worn their dress again (I ordered one for myself as well). All of my girls thanked me for the reasonable price of the dress too. They were all comfortable and thought that the dresses were really great (loved the pockets). The store was always really busy but we had helpful employees every time. The girl that orginially helped us pick them out ended-up moving soon after we were there so we would have liked a call about her leaving because after she left we had to deal with different consultants everytime we called or went into the store. One of them gave us incorrect information but quickly rectified the situation so all was good. Overall, we were very pleased with our decision to use Davids Bridal.

The only person who really helped me was Delphie. She is the sweetest woman

The dresses are reasonably priced and there is a pretty decent selection. For some brides this would be a good place to shop, especially if you find something you like on the website. I know some who have had good experiences and dealt with nice consultants here. However, I did not have a good experience during my two visits. Both times I visited, the consultants did not seem very receptive to what I was looking for in a dress. One in particular was being very pushy with me and said denigrating things about my preferred dresses, trying to push me towards dresses I did not care for just because "it's your wedding day". I did not feel comfortable there. The other said something very negative to me when I decided not to buy that day. I understand that the dress style I had in mind was something they don't carry and I don't hold that against them. I just wish that they had not made me feel uncomfortable about my tastes and preferences.

I went to a couple of full-service bridal salons and then ended up buying my dress at David's. For this budget bride (by choice--I couldn't see spending more than a grand on a dress to wear once) David's provided the best selection of inexpensive and yet fashionable dresses plus I loved that they carried plenty of dresses in my size to try on (I wore a street 18 at the time). I cannot express the frustration of trying to try on sample dresses that are too small and fit funny, or being limited to the few styles that come with larger samples. I also had to order extra length because I'm tall which was efficient and inexpensive. Our consultant was wonderful even though I know she was overworked and torn between helping a couple people simultaneously. My advice, though, is don't go on a Saturday if you can help it, especially not in prom season or right after Valentine's day. We stopped by one day to pick up a dress and it was a zoo. In mid-November, though, (when we shopped) it was fine.

I was not very impressed with this shop. I felt unimportant and rushed. I had an appointment at a certain time (as well as 2 others apparently) with one sales person. In the middle of me trying my dresses on she disappears and I see her helping someone else. I ended up having to take off and put on my own dresses. After falling in love with one of the dresses she goes on to tell me how it was on sale that day and the sale ended soon. She didn't know how long they were going to have that dress available. I needed to hurry up and order the dress if that was the one. I am not one for a sales pitch and that store is nothing but a sales pitch. Yes, they have a large selection of beautiful dresses but first impressions are a biggie with me. I even went back 6 months later with a girlfriend who is also getting married and they used the same pitch with her. Thankfully, she showed up at a slow time. I did not and will not buy any dresses from there.

LYNN from Davids bridal on west broad street was absolutely wonderful very helpful and made sure to contact us when items came in or there might have been a sale for other members of the wedding party. She was so polite and considerate and helpful.. A very dedicated person and made sure we got everything we wanted and that we were pleased.

the worst experience I have ever had at any retail store. This davids I would never go to again. Terrible.

I bought my wedding dress from Davids Bridal in Richmond, VA. I really like this particular store and absolutely loved my dress! The staff at this store were all very helpful. The only thing i did not like was the alterations department...they put a bustle on my dress and when i picked up my dress they had ripped the front a little...but they did fix it for free. Also, the bustle had broken during the reception...it was very weak and they did not do a good job on it. But Davids Bridal in general was very helpful and most importantly i looooved my dress, it was perfect and also i got all my accessories from there and they were all beautiful :-)

David's Bridal will never get my business again. We ordered my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and Mother's dresses from them. The bridesmaids and mothers were happy with their dresses, just the staff was rude and not helpful, except for Crystal. She helped with my mother's dress and was fantastic. I wish she could have helped with my dress. She needs to teach them all how to act towards customers. My dress assistant was whiny, and pushy. I love my dress however I had to go back three times for fittings and it was still to long. I literally tripped on it going down the aisle. I had to repeatedly ask them to do things like fix a broken eye hook and to clean it. Cleaning was a whole other story. They said if I bought a dress of the rack they would have it cleaned. Then when I took it in they said they would spot clean it. Which was a joke. I was so mad about the spot cleaning and constant return trips that I left my shoes on the counter at the store after waiting in line for 45 minutes to pay for their horrible service. When I called to tell them I left them, they said they would put them in the back and I could come get them. When I went to get them they recognized me and said hey you are the bride who left her shoes, recognition means nothing b/c after them looking for an hour they couldn't find them and told me to call back tomorrow. I called back every day for a week and only to have a Manager call me and tell me I never left them there and that they do not have them. I was so furious. So now I have a half correctly altered dress and no shoes (which the shoes were altered to that dress). Then my favorite thing was they had the nerve to send me a brochure rating them. In closing if you want a cheap dress and poor service go see them...they are the WALMART of wedding dresses.

I found a few dresses there with pretty reasonable prices. They had a huge diverse seletion that makes it easy for any bride to find what she wants.

I ended up getting one of their $99 dresses and once a seamstress was done with it, I loved it. It was pretty boring to begin with, but I had some pretty drastic alterations done to it (NOT at David's) and was very happy with the end result.

The staff is very professional and helpful. They strive to make you happy and find the perfect dress that brings back your childhood dreams of your future wedding.

I bought 7 bridesmaids dresses here and I really like them.
They refused though, to switch out the sashes so that I could have the color of sash I wanted. This was a negative.

The dresses are amazing, but you have to know what you want before you go. Check the website first!

David's Bridal had a huge selection, and I loved that they didn't just have one sample size of each dress. The dresses are moderately priced, but the accessories are EXTREMELY overpriced. The woman I was working with just dressed me up with a veil and headpiece and stuff, and since it was for my wedding day I just said "I'll take it!", knowing the price of my dress but not the rest of it. The veil was $150, the headpiece, a small jeweled comb that was like 3 inches, was also $150!!!! and everything is non-returnable! I found the same comb at Claires in the mall for $16. Not cool. I also got my invitations from Davids Bridal online, and I loved them. They were very reasonably priced and good quality. I would recommend ordering a sample first so you know what you're getting. We got the bridesmaids dresses there as well, and those were great but the alterations were overpriced. I would recommend them but look at the price tag of things first.

The service was good and the dress was absolutely beautiful. Their prices were also reasonable.

Great Service. Always busy. Go on a week day!!

Despite what people might think, Davids Bridal was GREAT! They had everything I needed, it was reasonable and all the alterations were perfect. I wouldn't have gone anywhere else. The dresses were beautiful for all my maids and flower girl. My MOB got her dress here as well. Fantastic and helpful staff!

I used David's Bridal for my bridesmaid dresses. They have a ton of colors and styles to choose from. I had bridesmaid from three different states, and since David's Bridal has numerous locations, it was easy for my bridesmaids to go to a store close to them and get sized and order their dress. If you choose a local bridal shop it becomes difficult for out of town bridesmaid to get sized and order dresses. Also, since I purchased my dress from David's Bridal all of my bridesmaids recieved discounts on their dresses, which were already very reasonable priced even before the discount. Again though make sure to make an appointment, and it is best to go during a weekday morning.

My dress was beautiful and when I went to try it on the staff was wonderful. I bought a dress that was on clearance and was told that I had to take it out of the store the night I bought it and they wouldnt store it for me, I was also told I could bring it back once and have it steamed/pressed for free. When it was time for me to have my portraits done they told me I couldnt have it steamed and they wouldnt do it no matter where I bought it because I had taken it out of the store! Needless to say after much trouble I was told I could bring it in and I would have to wait IN THE STORE for 2 hours while it was steamed. I was treated very poorly while I was there waiting and everybody seemed to act as if they were doing me a favor or as if I were in their way and not like a customer who had purchased a gown & veil from their store. While I must admit they have beautiful dresses for a reasonable price they have horrible customer service and are very rude when you are in the store for something other than buying a dress at that moment.

My first visit to Davids Bridal left me in tears. The gentleman who assisted me made me feel horrible about myself and my size and he seemed to have no idea what to recomment to me. So I decided against going back. But after talking to several friends, I decided to give the store another try. And boy am I glad I did. I got a wonderful lady who was full of recommendations and was very receptive to my thoughts and concerns. I bought my dress right off the rack!
GUEST

The lady we had for the bridesmaid dress fitting was wonderful! As we had 9 Bridesmaids, she had a lot on her hands, but handled it remarkably well. Everyone left pleased with their dress. We were in there about 2 1/2 hours, due to my decideing to let the bridesmaids choose their dresses as long as they were the same color.
GUEST

Everyone knows about David's Bridal. My dress purchase was a smooth transaction. Erica, the sales lady, was a great help with questions. My more negative response arises out of dealing with the alterations department. The fitting was fine, but they will only let you have your final fitting and pick up on a Wednesday or Friday. I was an out-of-town bride who just started a new job an hour away and could have only come on a Saturday. They wouldn't let me. So I had to have one of my bridemaids pick up the dress and I tried it on at home. There was some bead work that was not completed, but I didn't have the time to take it back.Summary: you can buy the dress from here, but have it altered elsewhere.
GUEST

I had horrible experiences with David's Bridal. They switched my consultants 3 times among alot of other things.
GUEST

Was very nice and helped us pick the perfect dress.
GUEST

The sales ladies were great in helping me pick out my dress. The alterations were expensive and unprofessional. I had to go back for 3 seperate fittings because they could not get my bustle correct.
GUEST

We planned the wedding in 4 months, so buying something off the rack was a must. I still found something unique to my style at a reasonable price. Amy, the girl who helped us, was really friendly, helpful, and remembered me when I came back in for alterations and other extras.

The dress shopping experience was great! My salesperson was very helpful and very accomodating! My dress was on sale and handled the bridesmaid dress on the same day

I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal. It was beautiful, everyone complimented me on it. It was really nice of them to provide a free pressing before the wedding. I highly recommend David's Bridal, they have tons of selection and the prices are not bad!
GUEST

Not very flexible, but best place I knew for a dress.
GUEST

I had a wonderful time there!! My helper was a wonderful lady named Amy who contacted me once a month untill the day before my wedding to make sure everything was going well and that i didnt need anything else. She became almost a friend someone who listened to my wedding problems and helped me sort them out!!!
GUEST

I loved the wedding dress I found at David's Bridal and it seemed to be very affordable for how it looked. My dress was from the Galina collection. They were good about altering the dress for the most part. They made the bustle too complicated and after the ceremony we could not figure it out. Also, they did not fully sew bra cups in, so they poked out occasionally through the night.
GUEST

Very happy with the service and the wedding dress I purchased from Davids Bridal. I did not purchase my bridesmaids gowns because the cookie cutter styles and colors of their bridesmaids dresses were not what I was looking for.
GUEST

When I bought my wedding dress, i felt like a number. No personal relationship. I was just a commission check. However, with the bridesmaids, we had a different sales rep, Holly, and we were able to go several times and develop a friendship with her. She was very helpful, very sweet. The quality of her service was outstanding. They generally kept up with our rather large party and were always willing to help.Very professional.Value - well, you can always get more for your buck, but it wasn't bad. Hopefully you know by now that the $99 Gown sale that ends on THIS Friday is just a ploy to get you in the store. Don't feel pressured to buy, there will always be another sale.As far as flexibility, they have pretty strict deadlines as far as when you can send your dress in to be altered, how soon all the bridesmaids have to order their dresses, etc. They just do this in an effort to protect themselves. We didn't have a problem, but I feel like they didn't have my interests at heart, they were just looking out for number one, y'know?
GUEST

The employess were great, friendly and very attentive to your needs. I like the fact that you could set appointments and be first to get helped.
GUEST

I would NOT recommend David's Bridal. They were very unresponsive, gave me a great deal of difficulty with my maid of honor and bridesmaids dresses (to the point that I didn't get my maid of honor's dress until a couple of days before the wedding!!). They are TERRIBLE. I would absolutely recommend that you shop around and not go to David's Bridal!Additionally, the particular store that I visited was extremely unprofessional and the customer service people argued with me about EVERYTHING, even small little things like promising my a particular color of dress and then telling me a month later that it was no longer in stock and that they wouldn't have the dresses ready by the time of the wedding.

I shopped at David's Bridal for my dress and accessories, not to mention by bridesmaid dresses. They give you a discount for buying all your dresses there! It was benificial to me as well as my bridesmaids. Definately would recommend them to anyone. P.S. Go when they are having their $99 sale...you can find the dress you love this year in maybe an earlier years' style for $99!!
GUEST

David's Bridal was great to work with! The staff was friendly and professional. I felt that they truly gave me individualized attention and their advice was priceless! We purchased my gown, my mother's gown, my mil's gown, and the bridesmaid dresses from them. I also purchased my veil, tiara, shoes and gifts for my bridesmaids there (purses and jewelry to wear to the wedding).
GUEST

Tip: Do NOT go on a Saturday! If you want personal attention like you get at the more expensive stores, go in the early afternoon on a weekday. I was the only person in there when I bought my dress. I came to pick it up on a Saturday and it was a madhouse!
GUEST

Seemed very disorganized, Overbooked for time, and took WAY too long any time we had to go to the register to pay for something. Prices were good though.
GUEST

I loved being able to try on some many styles in the correct size. Great value, prompt delivery of service and good coupons. Sometimes you get good help and sometimes it's nice just to look around on your own too. Would recommend but you also get what you pay for.
GUEST

The girl at this tore are wonderful, they really know how to make you feel great and comfortable, I know I drove them crazy and they never gave up on me.

David’s Bridal has such a great collection of bridal dresses. I bought the dress of my dreams, my shoes, and headpiece all for under $800. I felt like such a princess in my dress and I have never seen anyone with a dress like mine. I highly recommend taking a look before going to an overpriced smaller bridal boutique.
David’s Bridal was a good choice for my bridesmaid dresses. They ordered all the girl’s dresses together to make sure they came from the same dye lot. My maid of honor wore a completely different dress and we got that one from David’s too. The dresses were a bit expensive, coming in at $300 a piece. I was hoping to get a better price but they were absolutely beautiful and many of their designs fit each of my girls even though each girl has a different shape.
GUEST

I had an appointment during the week to get my wedding dress and was attended to very well, but I have heard from other people that the weekends are crazy and it's very hard to get in there without and appointment.
GUEST

I got my dress for $99 at one of their sales and they were absolutely wonderful with sizing and ordering my four brides maids dresses.
