David's Bridal (Kansas City, MO)

I had the waist of my gown taken up to the empire style which required a bit of creativity on the part of the people doing the alterations. It looked wonderful when it was completed and looked like it had been originally made that way.

We went to David's Bridal to get my wedding dress as well as my bridesmaid dress. The day I tried on dresses, I purchased mine because it was perfect. They have a great selection of bridesmaid dresses in a lot of nice colors as well and the shoes were all on sale! The only downside is if you find a bridesmaid dress/flower girl dress and it's on sale, that means it is discontinued and you have a limited time to order.

They are always having a sale on bridemaid dresses and they can get your dresses sized and ordered the quickest around!

Ugh David's Bridal right? Nope! Using their website only, we were able to get the most adorable dresses. The price was decent and the fit was surprisingly good. A couple girls needed minor bust alterations and that was it. I picked a short strapless dress from their new party dress collection so that the girls could actually wear it again. I know a lot of brides say that, but this time its true. I kinda want to steal a dress for myself. I got lots of compliments on them. Issues:
1. It was a pain getting all 4 dresses since they were in such high demand being brand new. I think supply has now caught up with the demand.
2. The beading on the dress tended to stick together when sitting, so they had to check each other to make sure the dress didn't ride up.
3. There was a ... wardrobe malfunction. Hey, that's the risk you run with a strapless dress!

I went there looking for my bridesmaids dresses, and the girls were snotty and inconsiderate. All of the dresses for bridesmaids seemed overpriced as well. I mean really, They were over half of the price of my wedding dress. I would not recommend them. I would recommend a relative who can sew, and a great pattern.

If you get some many of the guys to pay for their tux, your hubby was free. I have no clue what the promotions are now but it was worth it for us. The tux's were very nice, they complemented the girls dresses.

I'm unimpressed with David's Bridal. The gowns are overpriced and most of them are nothing special. I might still go with them for my bridesmaids though - since they live all over the country and it's just more convenient that way.

David's Bridal is a huge store and so they are very busy. We had to sign in and wait about 20 minutes for someone to help us. It reminded me of waiting for a table at a restaruant. There was a little trouble returning a bridesmaids dress (unexpected death) and my matron-of-honor found out she needed a size smaller than what she ordered. They wouldn't let her exchange it for a smaller size and she was forced to pay $150 more to have it altered. They have a great selection and are decently priced which is why I gave them 3 stars. Customer service and exchange policy could be better since the dress we picked out wasn't a discontinued dress.

This places really sucks if you like individual attention like I do. The service rep helps about 5 people at a time and it's a mad house. It's like a Ross or Marshall's madhouse free for all. I went on a Sunday afternoon. I'm sure that's prime busy time. But they should hire the staff to accommodate the crowd. The woman who helped me did the best she could. She looked completely strung out. I didn't buy a dress from this place.

The dresses were beautiful in all of my pictures. I had one of the newer fall looks for all of my maids and they all loved them and some of them have actually worn them again to other events... I never thought that would happen, but it did. A pleasant experience overall. Although we did have some trouble getting someone to help us on our last trip there...

I really liked how this vendor treated my family and me while I was trying to find my wedding dress. They were very patient with me while looking through many dresses till I found the perfect one. On the other hand, they ordered the wrong dress size and said I would have to pay for the alterations, which I didn't have to pay in the end. It also seemed like I knew more about the dresses in stock than the employee helping me did, since I had spent much time looking at bridal party dresses and wedding gowns. The tailors in the shop were extremely helpful and gave my mom tips on how to alter certain parts of the dress, since my mom has some experience. Overall, I was very satisfied with the services.

I bought accesorries there and was displesaed when one store told me they had dicontinued the shoes I waned but another store was able to order them. It took some time to get the times because they were ordered and then I picked them up.

I am a younger girl who went to pick out my wedding dress, i had a app. set up and everything and got treated horribly, and my cost were way to high, way more then i was told. They did not order the actual size i needed so i had to alter a whole size down in stead of getting the right size. Everyone thought i was a young teenager who was messing around, but in fact i was very respectful, asked a lot of questions, etc. I ended up having to talk to the manager and then things went a lot smoother!!!

I know that alot of bries prefer a quaint little shop or a unique dress that no one has. I did and I got a beautiful dress (that I wore once) for 500.00 The service was helpful and my dress was four months early!

It cost me alot of money to get the dressed fitted...once it was fitted and I went back to pick it up they did not have time for me to try it on...nor did they make time. They did not show my girls how to bussel the dress. and to top it off 10 minutes into my reception the dressed ripped because they had the bussel way to low.

Though I do not like getting anything from them the dresses my bridesmaids got were beautiful and they got them in everyone sizes and they had a great selection. the girls were happy with them. they just went elsewhere for there fittings

The girls dresses are wonderful. The price was only $135 and was available in so many colors, and they could wear them again to any event.


We ordered a 125 invitations with envelopes, response cards and envelopes and reception cards for 125 people for not even $300. The staff was so friendly and helpful finding the perfect invitation for our wedding day!

The only problem with the alterations were that they were kind of expensive. I would call around to other places they might be cheaper.

We used Davids Bridal, and we thought they did a good job. The dresses came in on time and alterations we're done..I wouldn't recommend the location in Independence, the seamstress there didnt understand how i wanted my alterations done, but all in all, it was a pleasent experience.

The dress I purchased was a little costly but it was very pretty. What I didn't like about Davids Bridal is when it came to altering the dress. Everything is a seperate cost and it adds up. They forgot to charge me for something so I had to go back up there. The store was in Ft Worth and I lived out by Dallas. I payed for some things that didn't get done and my dress was not ready when they said.

The people that work here are very helpful and kind. They know what they are doing. I tried on several things and ended up with the very first dress I tried on. Very nice!

They were VERY helpful and patient! There were many designs to choose from, all beautiful at very resonable prices!

I picked the color of my wedding and I let my girls pick whichever dress they wanted in that color. This way each body type was able to feel comfortable in their dress and everyone picked their own budget.

So many selections of dresses - there is something for everyone there! Also includes suit rentals and bridesmaids dresses.

They have a huge selection of colors and I found just the right one for the bridesmaids here. Plus they got to pick their own dresses.

David's bridal was very helpful with bridesmaids dresses. The only down side was that they didn't have enough of the color i wanted so I had to go with 2 different colors for my dresses.

I would have to say when dealing with David's Bridal, at first was exciting. Because you're going in there to buy your wedding dress. But on the down side, the employees were highly rude and critical, and they didn't have the best of selection for brides on a budget.

Super helpful in trying on dresses both wedding and bridal. Staff was really great. Alterations specialists were awesome. Overall super helpful staff and great selection of dresses and colors.

I absolutely loved the options they had. I went to the store and tried on a few dresses that cost anywhere from $300-$500 and was willing to spend that on my wedding dress, but ended up finding just the right one on their online only line of gowns! its a great option for those of us who don't love going again and again and being pestered by sales-people trying to get commission off of you! I would highly recomend people to not consider it a "cheap" option, because the dresses are really very nice!!

I bought my dress and veil at davids bridal for less then a 1000 for both at once. so i recommend checking out davids bridal before any where else.
