I had a decent experience with David's Bridal. For anyone looking for that one on one personal attention with a consultant, David's is definitely NOT the place. I worked with a great consultant, however, she had to leave me several times to go help other customers.

I used DB for my bridesmaids and MOB gown only, I couldnt find the perfect dress for myself as a bride at DB for the cost I was willing to pay.

Hello Everyone,My name is Kay and I am a consultant at David's Bridal in Bowie, Maryland. I just would like to thank all my brides and family members for all your great comments. I enjoyed working with you all! I give all of you 5.0!Kay

I had an okay experience. I found my dress without difficulty but when it came to getting my attendants looked after, we were left hanging. My mom ended up going to the racks to find dresses that could work. The only dress purchased was my wedding gown.
GUEST

I bought my invitations online without a problem. They came within a week of ordering them and everything was in tact and even had 5 extra invitations and envelopes. Very pleased!

After having a bad experience at the David's in Waldorf, they came in to save the day. (My dress came in with 5 holes in the overlay! Wasn't noticed when I tried it on because we were more concerned with alterations and fit.)They exchanged it for another dress, and was even a great help when I needed to return shoes (changed my mond on them) and needed a dress for another occassion.

I did almost all of my research online and knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in the store. Thank goodness I did beacuse they weren't much help. The lady that helped us was very nice but the store was packed and my bridesmaids felt rushed and we had to pull most of the dresses ourselves because waiting for them was like watching grass grow. I got the dress and shoes I wanted on clearence and got a bunch of coupons which was great.

My dress was expensive...but gorgeous so I can not complain there, but I tried to get a clip for my hair and it cost $150!! I think they monopolize the wedding industry because there are not many bridal chain stores out there. When I had my bridesmaid dress steamcleaned (it was Chiffon) they ended up getting finger prints all over it and I refused to accept it like that. The seamstress started arguing with me until I got the manager and she finally solved it by giving me a brand new dress to replace the one the seamstress ruined. I was happy with the wedding dress, flower girl dress and the bridesmaids all looked wonderful, I just think it was definitely one of the bigger chunks of my budget and always seemed to end up costing me even more money.
GUEST

My dress was great and well priced. But the service in the store was horrible!
GUEST

I loved my dress the day of the wedding.
GUEST

I had a few rounds with David's and the best one was Mrs. Kay she was help and kind my only disappointment was all the difficulty with alterations and the fact it too thre times to fix everything when all there was to do was a corset back and bustle the dress. They popped some of the stiching and my hem was not correct upon recipt of the dress from the wearhouse and for the cost it should not have been such a hassle but it turned out perfect for the wedding day!
GUEST

I bought my wedding gown from David's Bridal and couldn't have been more pleased. I bought one dress that I loved, and when it came in it didn't fit at all. I even took it to a seamstress and she said that she didn't think it would ever fit me properly. So I sulked back to David's Bridal, explained what happened to the person who helped us (Robert, he's amazing, ask for him!), and he immediately took the dress up to a manager and said "This doesn't fit her properly, we need a new dress" and that was that. Keep in mind that there is a no returns allowed policy, so this was beyond awesome. I picked out a new dress that I ended up loving a thousand times more, and LOVED it on my wedding day! If you go to David's, please ask for Robert! He was an unbelievable help. He picked out several really beautiful dresses and was a deciding factor in which dress I chose (he didn't recommend what he loved the most but what he thought was most "me").

I found my dress at David's Bridal. They have such a wide selection and variety of dresses. My consultant was really nice and friendly. I always felt welcomed when I entered the store and was always greeted by friendly faces.
GUEST

My dress was perfect for me. The dress consultant kept her focus on me and wasnt trying to do more than one bride at a time which made me feel special. We had "the dress" on tryon #3. My dress fit my budget and personality. I would recommend david bridal!

Working with the consultants at the Davids Bridal in Bowie was a great experience. I had visited other Davids Bridal locations and did not feel the same personalized attention that I was given at Bowie. I ordered my gown, 5 bridesmaids dresses, and 3 flower girl dresses from this store and received them all very quick and in perfect condition. The staff was able to accommodate any changes that I made to my order with ease. Overall the thing that made my experience a pleasant one was the fact that the staff remembered me by name anytime that I went in.
GUEST

Davids Bridal has a wide variety of different styles and colors of dresses. I selected this store for my bridesmaids dresses. The style of dress was great and the dress can be worn many times. Depending on which day and time you visit the store, it may be pretty chaotic. Just to wait for a sales associate to assist you may be awhile and can be annoying.
GUEST

My consultant's name was Tracy. She no longer works there, but she was fantastic. She remembered me every time I came into the store, and even wrote me cards. The manager worked with me on the spot to negotiate a price for a discontinued dress. The women doing my alterations were flexible and helpful. Most of the people I had experiences with were professional and quick. However, every time I was there the customers in the store were loud and rude. It gave a negative feel to the atmosphere. Overall the store had a great selection for decent prices and helpful staff.

I bought my wedding dress, veil, and undergarments through the Davids Bridal in Bowie, MD. I also did all of my alterations through the same store and am now in the process of having my gown preserved. Overall, I was pleased with the experience. I found a beautiful and unique dress (CWG324) for a reasonable price (under $1000) that was able to be delivered to me in less than 3 months. One of the best things about Davids is that they can deliver dresses much quicker than most boutiques. My first visit was a weekday and I was the only person in the store; I would highly recommend this as it allows you a lot of personal attention and time to try on many of the dresses. My consultants were OK, they did not fawn over me but they provided the basic service, and that's all I really cared about. They are definitely trying to make the sale but I came back for a second visit before purchasing the dress. The only major issue is that they do not want you pulling dresses yourself; understandable, but they shouldn't be so strict and unfriendly about it, especially when the store is empty. Also, they do try to sell you all the accessories instead of listening when you say you are not interested in jewelry or shoes, etc.My dress was delivered quickly and I was able to easily set up an alterations appointment. Alterations were great; they made the dress fit like a glove!I would recommend Davids for the large selection and reasonable prices.

My overall experience with at David's Bridal in Bowie, MD was positive. Their stock is budget-friendly and diverse. The staff members are patient and knowledgeable. No matter your style, you are very likely to find everything you need for your wedding at David's Bridal.

David's Bridal is not the place to go for personalized service and attention. But if you don't need a lot of help and just want to have a nice selection of dresses (bride and bridesmaid) for a good price, it works just fine. I got my wedding gown there and was VERY happy. I had all my bridesmaids pick dresses in the same color and length, since they were in different states. Everything came in quickly and easily (except for one hiccup on a shawl that wasn't ordered and had to be rushed in) - everything was beautiful. But one word of warning from a previous experience and hearsay from others all over the country... Do NOT, under any circumstances, use them for your alterations, no matter how simple!!! You'd be better off going to a high school home-ec class (do they still have those - have I just dated myself?).But for nice dresses that won't break anyone's bank, they're accessible everywhere and won't disappoint.
GUEST

I worked with Kay at the Bowie David's Bridal and she was the nicest person. She was so friendly and sweet. I had heard some negative things about David's Bridal, so I was hesitant to buy a dress from them. Kay was the main reason I bought my dress from them - she wanted to get me in a dress that I loved. She wasn't a pushy salesperson. She was genuine and I was so happy every time I went back in there to see her. I loved their service so much that i ended up buying my veil, slip, bra, my maid of honor's dress and flower girl dress as well as everyone's shoe there. Everyone that I dealt with in this store was fantastic. I would definitely recommend them.
GUEST

Having already had two bad experiences at other dress shops, I could not be happier with David's Bridal in Bowie. Not only were they professional and courteous, as a bigger bride I didn't feel out of place in a world of size 6 samples. They had a large selection of dresses in every size and had every single dress I had picked from their website in stock and in a size that I could actually try on. They actually ordered me a new dress in since the sample one had a snag and alterations went extremely smooth. My only issue was that the closest David's Bridal is 2 hours from me, so each appointment I had to make a 4 hour round trip drive. However everyone loved my dress and the drive was totally worth it!
GUEST

I worked with Vanessa and she was the best thing ever. She helped me all day to find the dress I liked and all the accessories. It was a great experience and she was a joy to work with.
GUEST

While they worked well with me in giving as many alterations as needed (my dress was a discontinued item purchased a long while back) I really feel that DB overcharges for services. I would say that maybe it was just becuase I needed alterations and bustles, but then I realize they charge the BM's the SAME AMOUNT!! I mean, really, every dress will need alterations, and they make the BM dresses so long you HAVE to have them altered as well.. what I dont' understand is why certain details (like bustles) can't just be done as a "thank you" for buying from them.. but all in all, I was very pleased with the outcome.. I only wish they didn't charge SO MUCH for the little things.
GUEST

David's Bridal was perfect for me. I didn't want to spend a lot on a dress. I ended up finding the perfect dress and it had the perfect price! The nice thing about David's is that if you get your wedding dress from there, then your bridesmaids get a percentage off of their dresses, which is a bonus! I worked with Dinetra at David's and she was so sweet! She gave me her opinion when I asked and was super helpful. I had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone!
GUEST

For the record, I went to the David's Bridal in Bowie, MD. I had nothing but good service from them. Some of my bridesmaid's went to the Rockville location and did not have such a good experience (one of my bridesmaid's was told that a)they couldn't find my entry and then b)that she wasn't on the list of bridesmaid's...totally bogus...I'm guessing they still couldn't actually find me in the database and just lied to get her off their back. Very frustrating.) However, like I said, I dealt with the one in Bowie and they were great! I got both my wedding dress and my bridesmaid's dresses here and they were absolutely gorgeous. I found a style that flattered all of my bridesmaid's and there were several wedding gowns that looked absolutely beautiful on me. I put the value for cost as 4 instead of 5 because I probably could have found the same dresses for less elsewhere, but at the same time the prices weren't really outrageous either. The alterations department was good. I had to reschedule one of my fittings and that put it awfully close to the wedding date, but they worked it out and I had my dress a week before the wedding. I had a very positive experience working with them.
GUEST

First let me start by saying, I love my wedding dress. I am so happy with the one I picked. However, I was NOT happy with the quality of service I received at David's Bridal. I had gone in to look for BMs dresses and wound up looking at wedding dresses too. I don't know if my BMs and I annoyed our girl, or she just didn't like the fact that we weren't planning on buying that day, but once she found that out, I felt like the whole dynamic shifted. Not ONCE when I was trying on dresses did she come check on me. My BMs had to go find the sizes. I finally decided on the dress and had to go the register to get someone to help me. I thought buying your wedding dress was supposed to be a joyous occassion, not one that is full of stress.
GUEST

I was able to find the dress I wanted for myself and my bridesmaid.

I had come to this location for my bridesmaid dresses after visiting the Waldorf location. The customer service here was MUCH better. The associates were much more attentive and friendly and actually valued us as customers. They were very helpful in getting us the correct sizes/colors and made the experience overall pretty painless.

If you go in to this place knowing that you are walking in to a huge store owned by a national chain, then you won't be surprised when you don't exactly feel like the most special person in the world. I definitely had to wait a while to get service, even if I had an appointment. Even then, I got the gist that it was, "Let's get it over with so we can free up the dressing room." I recommend going during the week if you can, as the weekends are TERRIBLY busy. During my first visit, I had a great consultant who worked well with me and really listened to me, but then on my next visit I got a cold, careless women to help me (another bad part about going to such a big store). You definitely don't feel like the service is "personalized". On the other hand, I LOVED my dress and it was VERY affordable. The tailoring services were great - the woman who worked with me was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. I ended up paying as much for the accessories and tailoring as I did the dress, but I'm the one who wanted 17 bustle ties! David's is David's, let's leave it at that.
GUEST

My dress was spectacular. Only had a little problem with the bussell on my dress. Other than that they were good.
GUEST

I loved my dress but the customer service at David's is not good. They have a huge selection which is nice if you can put up with their attitudes.
GUEST

I visited this David's Bridal to purchase my wedding dress and wedding party dresses. The consultants were only interested in showing me a couple of dresses. After choosing one the consultant recommended I buy my dress one size big to accommendate my larger bust and have it altered to fit the rest of my body. I visited another David's Bridal and tried on the same dress in my size which fit perfectly. I returned to the Bowie David's Bridal and asked to exchange the size after explaining my concern about the fit. Not only did they refuse to allow me to exchange my dress, I was charged a couple hundred dollars for the alterations. BUYER BEWARE. David's Bridal may have the lowest prices but you will have to put up with poor customer service, a no return or exchange policy and high cost in alterations.

Ok..DB does get very passionate replies. If you look through the posters, you can summarize, it depends on who you are. Thats right I daresay that. If you are generally big-boned, you will be OK. Otherwise tough luck. It does have a warehouse feel i admit too. Its more of a downscale version so as someone said, just go there with that expectation- brace yourself! To the other posters, I agree if you paying the money, you expect certain level of service.Personally we got the dress at a good price but had to have it altered elsewhere, long lead times etc etc. Its a one time event these weddings anyway.
GUEST

Went to DB in Bowie Town Center- my consultant ( Kay I believe) was wonderful, really helpful. You do get quality at an affordable price- I love my dress and the service was excellent. The only thing I wish I'd been told was that alterations were not included with the price of the dress..other than that my mom and I had a wonderful experience!
GUEST

The staff was very patient and the process went very well. I had a lovely dress!
GUEST

I purchased my wedding dress at David's Bridal and had no problems with the transaction. I loved my dress and the woman that helped me was very friendly and seemingly knowledgable. My dress was also very reasonably priced. I went back with my bridesmaids to look for there dresses and had a very different experience. The person who helped us was anything but and it was very unorganized and awkward. We passed and decided not to purchase the dresses there. I might add that I did not have alterations done on my dress at David's.
GUEST

I went to the David's Bridal in Bowie Town Center and upon arrival to their store I decided that I would not go to another store. They helped me to find the right dress for me with the right price even though I had to try on about 30 dresses they were patient with me and gave me advice on the best material for different times of the year. I would recommend everyone to go to David's Bridal in Bowie Town Center.

helped me with picking out my dress and deciding on what needs to done to it. They were very professional. All my bridemaids purchased their dress from davids bridal and so did our mothers
GUEST

I loved my dress. Dress selection is great! Customer service was hit or miss....depends on who you got. My consultants, Jennifer and Kay were awesome. One of the managers (Keandra I believe) was very accomodating when I changed my dress at the last minute. However some of the staff were rude and unprofessional at times.
GUEST

My Dress was beautiful, the perfect princess dress that I wanted. However, I didn't like my experience when I first went in to try gowns on, I felt very rushed. Also, the dress was altered correctly, even tho i had my wedding shoes with me, they didn't make the dress short enough. We didn't realize this till the day of the wedding till I actually had to walk a whole lot in it.
GUEST

We looked everywhere for bridesmaid dresses that didn't break the bank, and that would fit all of the different body types. David's had exactly what we were looking for. Great dresses for a great price. Customer service on the try on side could use some help. Maybe they should have more sales associates on the floor on Saturdays. They were swamped and the sales associates just couldn't keep up. The bridal gown was absolustly perfect too. It required alterations and the altersations staff was great! They were very careful to make everything fit like a glove! Kudos to alterations!

ITS FUNNY BECAUSE I WAS ACUATULLY ORDERING MY DRESS OUT OF THE BRIDAL MAGAZINE AND WHEN I WENT WITH MY BRIDEMAIDS TO TRY ON SOME DRESSES I WAS SUCKED IN AND JUST FOOLING AROUND AND ONE OF THE CONSULTANT SAID TO ME, "WHY DONT YOU JUST TRY ON A DRESS SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR". SO I DID AND LORD AND BEHOLD I FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT DRESS(APPLE RED AND WHITE). THEY WAS SO VERY PROFESSIONAL AND WITH CLASS I WOULD RECOMMEND ANY AND EVERYONE TO GO THERE OR ANY ONE FOR THAT REASON.

I bought two wedding gowns. I like their price and quality if dress

AMAZING deal. I took a chance and ordered my dress online even though I couldn't try it on (although I hear alot of the online collection are just bridesmaid dresses in white-if that helps anyone!). I went according to their measurement chart and it fits! I ordered it on a Saturday, it shipped first thing on Monday and I received it on Tuesday! I love it and it only cost $199. I went to this (Bowie) David's for alterations and my only issue was the price. The LOWEST charge for a hem (what I decided I wanted) was 75.00. It was better than many boutique charges so I went there. At my second fitting (3 weeks before my wedding), it was way too short. I thought I was going to panic but the lady was wonderful. She simply took the hem out and asked me if I minded having it done by hand, instead of machine. She took 15 minutes of her time and fit the dress right on me...and it came out BEAUTIFUL. They were very friendly and obviously flexible!
GUEST

The dress shipped to me didn't fit the same as the one on the rack, and more alterations were needed than I'd anticipated.
GUEST

First off, I loved my dress. I wouldn't have traded it over a $3000 gown. I received so many compliments and I truly felt like a beautiful bride in my dress. The quality and selection of the dresses aren't the problem at David's Bridal......the problem with David's Bridal has always been with its customer service. It's beyooooooond subpar. But if you know that going in, you'll be fine! Seriously, they have some amazing dresses. And for the money, you can't beat it. Their staff is clad with camel toes and their store burns your eyes with their awful fluorescent lighting and warehouse feel. They do not notify your bridesmaids when their dresses come in, but they will email you. It's not hard to forward an email - or better yet, give you an excuse to call your bridesmaid and give her a little TLC!One huge plus with DB is their alterations staff. They know what they're doing and they are not nearly as costly as some of the other vendors.
GUEST

We liked the dress, which is simple and beautiful with good price. The custome service was not impressive though except their alteration staff, who are very professional and friendly!
GUEST

We ordered 3 of the 6 bridesmaids dresses here and while it was not a horrible experience, the staff was not helpful at all. I took 4 of my 6 girls, all different sizes and shapes and we basically had to fend for ourselves. Which in most instances would be fine, but no one tried to help offer suggestions for which dresses to try especially when I had a bridesmaid that nothing fit. The girls that was supposed to be helping us was no where to be found until we were ready to check out. The dresses also arrived 2 weeks before the promised date and no one was ever call. I happened to stop in to check on them on the date they were promised and was told that they had never called because they were backed up. This is a nice store but the service left a lot to be desired.
GUEST

I went to David's Bridal only to purchase my shoes and shoes for my bridal party. I had a horrible time with their service from the very beginning. There wasn't anyone in the shoe area willing to help us out, even though several employee's passed by us. We finally had to grab one of them to look up some shoes for us in their stock. My bridesmaid's ended up ordering ballet flats to have dyed in Apple, and they informed me that the dye would not run off at all, even if they got wet. They were supposed to come in within a few weeks, and then dyed apple. After a few weeks, I hadn't heard anything from them, they never called me when they came in, so I went to the store two weeks before the wedding and they couldn't find the shoes anywhere. They looked and looked and finally found 1 of 4 pairs, so they kept looking. They never found them, but decided to pull them off the floor, and I was informed that my order was put out on the floor and were never labeled with my order slips, so any customer could have come in and bought them, if I hadn't come in when I did. Needless to say, they finally dyed the shoes and when I went to pick them up, the dye job was very poor and I had them touch up their spotty areas. Overall, I had to go through such a hassle to get these shoes for my bridesmaids and would not recommend their services for anything.

Kay was the bridal consultant who assisted me at David's in Bowie. I can't say enough about her . . . she was wonderful. I was able to find the perfect dress for my wedding, along with all the accessories needed. She was also great in assisting my mom and the bridesmaids in finding the perfect dresses. I had to order a few items, and they were all received timely. The staff in their alterations department were absolutely wonderful, as well. My experience with David's was truly a pleasant and enjoyable one. They are great!
GUEST

I don't really recommend using David's Bridal. You are just another number.
GUEST

I found my bridesmaids dresses at Davids Bridal my first experience at the Bowie store was great. The bridemaids ordered there dresses with no problems. When it was time for them to arrive the first person to order her dress was the last person to receive it. We called the store and spke to the shipping manager he was the worst. He first told her that she didnt order a dress, then that she was not the first person to order, and then he had no tracking information and didnt know where it was, and then he would order her another one to be delivered the morning of the wedding and then he said maybe he could get ot to her the Thursday before the wedding as if she wouldnt need alterations. After all of that he called 30 minutes later and told her that the dress had just come in and she could come and pick it up. She went to the store and was told that she could not take the dress. The shipping manager is an idiot. The other ladies in the store gave me great service.

There are always mixed reviews about DB, but I was very satisfied with their service. I found MY dress at the DB in Bowie. My associate was very helpfulÂ… not pushy at all. I made sure to tell her my price range up front, and she only brought me styles in that price range. I thought that as a larger woman, I would have a hard time finding a dress that I liked, but the store had a ton of Plus sized dresses in stock to try on. I bought my dress off the rack on the only day I went shopping. I found the BMs dresses on DB website (style F12688). I was looking for a dress that came in a variety of colors that would look good on a variety of body types. All the reviews about the dress are A+, and for good reason. I made sure to take each one of my BMs to DB in Bowie so they could try the dress on in their size, because they had a ton of sample sizes. All my BMs LOVED the dress. It made everyone look beautiful, no matter what shape they were. It was reasonable priced as well, so that made everything nice too. All the dresses came in a few months prior to when the BMs were told they would be in. I will probably get one of the dresses, just to have myself!
GUEST

great dress for the price and exactly what i was looking for!!
GUEST

Okay the issue with this david's bridal is that they didn't take time with you and even when they messed they acted like they couldn't compensate you. They didn't call me when my dress came in I had called them about alteration and just said let me check to see if my dress was in and it was. I wouldn't recommend brides go to this David's, go to the one in Rockville or Waldorf.

So a lot of people talk bad about David's Bridal, but I have received nothing but the best from them! We originally started planning our wedding to take place in 2006, but we soon found out that we were expecting a baby boy and needless to say we postponed the wedding. When I was looking for a dress the "first time around" I had gone to all the bridal boutiques and thought I had found a dress (though it wasn't purchased). I came down to NC to visit one of my bridesmaids and we went shopping at David's for her gown. While we were there I thought, what the heck, and tried on some gowns too. Before we started, the consultant sat me down on a couch and asked what I was looking for and if this was the first time shopping. I replied and she said, "Well, obviously somethings amiss because you're still looking". She then told me to close my eyes and describe what I wanted to look like on my wedding day. Once that was done she disappeared into the gowns and came back with all of the gowns that fit my description. To my surprise I found the perfect gown (which was nothing like I thought I wanted). I bought it that day!Fast forward to 2008 when we started re-planning our wedding. I sadly no longer fit into my wonderful size 6 gown from David's so I had to buy a new gown. I, again, went to all the bridal boutiques and purchased a lovely gown from one of them. I had a nagging feeling that I wasn't going to like it though. While I was at David's looking for my mother's dress I tried on some more gowns just to make sure, and I should've known I'd find the perfect one there! The sales consultant was very gracious and together we found the perfect dress! I should have just saved my time, and money, and gone to David's Bridal in the first place. Their gowns are beautiful and with so many you are sure to find the perfect one! Not only that, but it's nice to have gowns in all different sizes to try on. It's not so easy dress shopping when you're not a perfect size 6 or 8. Go to David's and save yourself some money and time!
GUEST

My initial experience with David's was perfect. I explained what I wanted in a wedding dress and they pulled it off the rack immediately and it was perfect. It took all of 10 minutes!!! The bridal party experience was a little different. Some members of the party were called and told their dresses were in, and when they in for the fitting, the dresses were not in. One member of my party had several miscommunications with Davids but at the end of the day, everything went great. Just a little unorganized.
GUEST

This particular store had the most wonderful, personable, and professional workers who made purchasing my wedding dress so pleasant and easy!

I got the perfect dress from Davids Bridal, and the tailoring was on time and better than I could have imagined, however, aside from the tailor, the staff was less than friendly, but not until AFTER I had bought my dress. I was minding my own business trying on dresses for a simpler version of my wedding dress for an after party, when an employee came up to me - while she had another customer in tow - suggesting the size I picked out was too small. Without my having asked her, and a week before my wedding. Luckily I was able to prove her wrong. :)
Buying the dress was a pleasure, but my needed return visits were not so much.
I also had my bridesmaid's purchase their gowns from this location. Super fast shipping, looked great with the groomsmen's matching vests.
David's Bridal's color-matching vests literally made the color scheme at my wedding. They did a thorough job and following up with the groom to notify him who still hadn’t gone to get their tux a week before the wedding, to ensure nothing was overlooked.

David's Bridal ws Okay. I was impressed with the attire. I wasn't impressed with their attentiveness. They were too buzy to be soley with one person. They waited on several people at the same time and you were made to wait. they were punctual with the dressess being deliverd, though.

I absolutely adore my dress from David's bridal. However... when I ordered my dress, I specifically asked for it with no train. They told me that ordering a train would cost extra anyway. I left happy, but then went back the next day to double check that they had ordered the one with NO train. After looking in the computer, they informed me it had no train. Fast forward a few months- my dress was in. I went in to try it on and it had the train. After first informing me it would be no problem to reorder a new dress express with no train, they then said it was not possible because my dress was also ordered with extra length because I am tall. This supposedly made it "special order" and could not be expressly made and shipped in time for my wedding. Luckily, the alterations woman at David's is amazing and she was able to cut the train off and still make it look beautiful and perfect, exactly how I wanted it. David's did not charge us for the alterations because of their mistake. The big problem with David's is that everything is made in a factory in China. Dresses are discontinued all the time and often certain colors aren't available on short notice (meaning a few months). Just make sure you order well in advance to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for.

We used David's bridal to purchase my wedding dress, accessories, men's attire, and the bridesmaid's gowns. They have great color coordinating options which proved beautiful in the pictures. It was helpful to do the matching all at one location! The staff was friendly and assisted as needed. Everything I ordered arrive in a timely manner.

They were very nice. It was easy to get into alterations. I was able to get my dress for my wedding in less then a month!!!

The David's Bridal staff was unhelpful, unprofessional, and impossible. The first time they ordered my dress, the wrong dress came in. I drove a few hours to go to David's Bridal because I live in a rural area and my sister lived near DB. Knowing this, the staff was still rather difficult and inflexible in scheduling fittings. I made several phone calls to the store during which I spent over twenty minutes on hold (long distance). Thankfully, I eventually got my dress, altered to my needs, and it was beautiful and not terribly expensive. The dress was perfect; the staff was proably not worth it. My bridesmaids all indicated that they had a difficult experience with their respective visits to David's Bridal stores in their areas as well.

Great staff. Very helpful ran around ALL day for me even gave a follow-up call. I didn't purchase on that day. Bought a different dress went to Davids two weeks before looking for a slip and found my gown (the one I like the first time LOL)

I got my wedding dress along with my flower girls and brides maids gowns here at Bowie, MD David's bridal. Over all the dresses were bueatiful and my dress was exactly what I wanted. The price was great and they do offer payment plans so that you can get everything you wanted. The only thing that bothered me was that the people there are rude. They don't really have manners and they act like they don't see you when you are standing right in there face. I originally got a dress put it on a payment plan and when I went home I kept thinking about another dress I saw. I mainly got that one because a lot of my family member liked it but it wasn't what I wanted. I decided to go back try on the dress I kept thinking about and I fell in love. I wanted to exchange the dress I had on the payment plan for the new dress and they would not allow me to. I had to pay off the other plan first before i could do that. So I had to start a new payment plan and I had to pay off the other one on top of having to pay on my new payments plan then on top of that for them to put my veil and accessories with the new plan, even though I found another veil I wanted it had to cost exactly the same as the other payment plan or they wouldn't let me because they would be loosing money they said!! Talk about stressful. i was very upset with them on that one!!

My experience with David's Bridal in Bowie was not a pleasant one. I chose David's Bridal in Bowie Maryland for my attendant's attire. Needless to say, the service was horrible. For starters, no one ever called me to tell me that my attendant's dresses had arrived. Once the dresses were altered, I went to the store to pick them up, two days after they were promised to me. When I arrived at the store my flower girl's dress was not ready nor pressed. A rude sales woman told me I just had to wait. I'm sure she took her lead from the rude manager that she was working with. I stood there with my wedding party witnessing the sales associate and manager displaying horrible attitudes and terrible customer service skills. We ordered dyeable shoes for the attendants from them also. When we placed our order, we instructed them on the color they were to be dyed and this information was placed on the order form. This however did not stop David's Bridal from calling me 3 times to inquire about the color the shoes were to be dyed. The last call was made to me 1 day before we were to pick the shoes up. Upon arriving to pick up the shoes of course they could NOT find them and we had to wait. Overall, my experience was not a good one and I would not suggest anyone go there if they are looking for quality service.

I found a lovely dress at a very reasonable price, and was very happy with the service we received. I know it generally takes some time to complete the dress ordering/shipping process, but I received my dress in a very timely fashion, and we encountered no problems!
GUEST

They were okay.
GUEST

The sales lady that helped my with trying on dresses was awesome, value for money was great. Dress was awesome, as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one!
GUEST

I felt as though they were willing to do anything they had to in order for me to look perfect.

I loved the selection of dresses and different styles. The only thing I had a problem with in the Bowie, Md David's Bridal was the employees. When trying on the bridemaid dresses they were not very helpful. When I came to try on wedding dresses the woman that helped me, was very friendly and extremely helpful. The other few times I came back to look and/or pick things up I hd to ask someone for help, and noone asked us if we needed help while trying on bridesmaid dresses. Also, I was told of discounts for other things after ordering a bride's dress, and opening a credit card with david's bridal. I had to call the company and ask about the discounts, they in turn told me I should of received coupons booklet, or something in the mail, which I did not. I did still get the discount when ordering the bridesmaids dresses over the phone.

They have good prices on their dresses for the brides and the attendants and color coordinate but so many people go there that they don't have time to take with you.
GUEST

This was truly the worst vendor I could have picked and it ended in a lawsuit that I won. RUN from this store!! I only picked them for the sales but I could have done much better!!
GUEST

I absolutely loved my wedding gown- and the price wasn't bad for what I got. Still expensive! :) The service was fine while I was in the store picking out my dress with some of the gals- but my bridesmaids had so many problems with their dresses, etc. I was very bridzilla with David's Bridal a few times.
GUEST

I got a great dress and a great bustle afterwards. BUt they provided me with a ton of headaches. They didn't put things in the computer for my bridesmaids can purchase their dresses. I got a new representative each time. They also told my bridesmaid to purchase the wrong dress. Great clothes in the end but a pain in my butt the whole time. I tried to set up everything 8 months in advance and I was still struggling with them 3 weeks before the wedding.
GUEST

My dress was beautiful and reasonably priced, however their alteration prices are very expensive so I had my alterations done with someone else. The dress arrived quickly, as did my bridesmaid dresses, which were also well-priced. Stores can be crowded and under-staffed. I had a hard time getting someone to attend to us, but depending on the time of day, it might be better. Overall, they have a large selection and can even order sizes not in stock.
GUEST

This David's Bridal is very professional and helpful. One of my bridesmaids is extremely obese. They were very tactful and kind in providing someone who could work with her size. I'll be back for my renewal of vows ceremony.
GUEST

Great dresses and a bit pricey in my opinion. They messed up my bridesmaid orders, but got it straight in the end.
GUEST

it was ok..better for my wedding party then me
GUEST

It's good to go here if you don't want to spend too much on your dress, but they're often very busy and you won't get the attention you feel you may need while shopping for your big day. ALSO you may want to go somewhere else if you don't want one of your friends to get the same wedding dress that you wore on your wedding day... happened to me and I'm still pretty ticked off...
GUEST

Everyone uses David's Bridal. They are very good and they offer very good discounts for you wedding party. When I bought my dress my bridesmaids got 20% off their dress. I know this my sound cheesy but I recommend you go to target.com and order your dress once you have the size. I paid $400.00 at davids bridal and found the same dress at target.com for $75.00. I would however tell your wedding party to get their dress way in advance. It takes 6 weeks for the dresses to arrive. They only have samples in the store. The bride's stuff, other than some of the veils and jewerly, are already in the store and ready to buy. But if you have to order anything from there order 3 months a least before the wedding.

I bought my wedding dress in December of 2005 and had wonderful service. The dress was priced incorrectly during their $99 sale (marked to be in the sale and was supposed to be $349.99) and we were able to get it for $99. The sales associate who helped us that day was professional, helpful, and wonderful to work with. Fast forward to 2007...DISASTER! I took my bridesmaids in to try on and pick out dresses. The sales help was lacking, the manager I spoke with about one of the dresses being altered was completely unhelpful and rude, one of the dresses in the order was the incorrect size, and the entire process took WAY, WAY too long! Prices on bridesmaid dresses could have been better too.*Also, I ordered a bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding in spring which none of the stores in the company had so I spoke with the MI store and ordered it from them over the phone. When I was ready to pay for the dresses for my wedding, they tried to tell me I had an outstanding balance for that dress when I had paid the other store for it long before.
GUEST

Horrible experience! If I had to do it again - I would go to a small shop, pay a little bit more money but have my dress more than 1 day before the wedding! Not worth the aggravation. Pick somewhere else.
GUEST

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH DAVIDS BRIDAL. I WISH THERE WAS MORE TO CHOOSE FROM BUT OVER ALL THE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT.
GUEST

They changed the color of my wedding gown from ivory to white a week before my wedding...it made me fill good to know that I could rely on them in this way....Very happy with the service. I love my dress!
GUEST

Very friendly and helpful.

I bought my dress my brides maids bought there dresss my flower girl bougt her dress and my mother bought her dress all from davids bridal. they were all beautiful
GUEST

Beautiful dress for a very affordable price. Undergrarments and tiarras are over priced.
GUEST

Store was very helpful in creating an account and getting bridesmaids dresses. It was very easy to use David's Bridal because all of my bridesmaids were located in different areas of the United States. They offer a great variety and multiple locations.

I used two David's Bridal's, the Bowie store and the Rockville store and they were both terrible, though Bowie was the worst. First, the dresses that my maid of honor picked out which were off the website we were told, no longer existed, yet for months after my wedding (until I tired of looking) they were still on the website, even through the changes of seasons. Secondly, the sales girl who helped with my bride's maids was rude. She insulted my maid of honor regarding her weight, which was unprofessional to say the least, and simply mean. Even once we decided on the dresses, paid for them, and now no longer had to deal with the sales girl we still ran into problems. I had one bridesmaid who was out of town, in Boston. Now the store assured us that this was "no problem" this is why they have stores all over the country to make it "easy." Her dress was supposed to be at the store in Boston where she tried it on. Instead weeks after my other bridesmaids had picked up their dresses, I received a call to come pick up my bridesmaid dress. I hadn't bought anything from the Bowie store, I bought my dress from the Rockville store, and I was the bride not a bridesmaid! Turns out I had to ship my out of town-bridesmaid her dress at my expense. I would however like to say on a good note, the tailors at the Rockville store were excellent, on time, professional and skilled. They hemmed my wedding dress beautifully. Since this experience I have told everyone I know NOT to use David's Bridal.

David's bridal treated me like royalty. I would highly recommend this to anyone getting married!
GUEST

They are great when they have the annual dress sale
GUEST

They were ok, but didn't call me when my dress was ready. Not alot of personal service.
GUEST

The sales staff were very helpful when I was picking out a dress, but they didn't have much available on short notice. I wanted to have their tailor do the adjustments to the dress, but the waiting list was horribly long. Instead, I went to a local tailor who did a wonderful job and I only had to wait a week.I was satisfied with my experience at this store and would recommend it, just don't expect exceptional service.
GUEST

The woman who helped us with picking out a dress at David's was wonderful! The service we got when we first walked in was a bit more abrupt, as we were chided for not having made an appointment, but they ended up seeing us very quickly. The person who helped us (don't remember her name) really listened to me and looked at the dresses I had picked out and found some for me to try on that I would never have picked out, but absolutely loved, including the one I got. The alterations were good, though they lost my optional straps that snapped on, and they were not so flexible about appointments. Overall, it was a good experience, but probably not as intimate as a smaller shop might have been.
GUEST

I was very pleased with my dress but service was anything but pleasurable. I had a salewoman I had been working with when I actually purchased the dress who then moved my return visits yeilded grumpy and rude salepeople. I bought my dress because I loved it and that my bridesmaids would get a discount. When my bridemaids went in to purchase their shoes and dresses we found out they no longer sold the dress we wanted and that the discount was no longer valid. It was then that I found out there is a time limit on the discount offer. No one called to inform me that those dresses would no longer be offered nor was I called when my dress came in. I called them and they said it had been in their store for 6 weeks. Then they wanted us to pay in full for the bridesmaid dresses to be ordered in from other locations in the country prior to us knowing if the dresses would fit. Needless to say I bought my dress there and after much complaining my bridemaids received their discounts on the shoes but we headed elsewhere for accessories and their dresses!
GUEST

Beautiful Dress for fair price. They did a good job on alterations too.
GUEST

The place was a bit of a mess and the girl who helped us was young and really didn't know to much but my dress was perfect, the only problem is they had strick fitting and alteration times because the women couldn't always be there.
I took a client there and she received great service with great prices!
