I went shopping in my hometown, Abbotsford, BC for my wedding dress, and everything was SO expensive. I went to David's and found my dress, veil, blusher, necklace, earrings, bracelet, bustier, slip and headpiece for such a great price! I ended up spending $35.00 less on everything, than the price of just a dress in Canada!! It was such a great value, although I had to pay a little bit of duty crossing the border, it was so worth it! Very friendly, and made me feel right at home!*Make sure to check that you receive everything you order before you leave! I was missing a couple items, but caught it. They apologized and made sure that I got everything.

Even though I didn't purchase my wedding dress at David's Bridal, they were wonderful to work with. The dress I chose was an extremely difficult dress to match. It was a deep merlot and very difficult to not to make the brides maids stand out more than me. They helped me search many times, even when I didn't have an appointment. The employees were amazingly helpful and cheerful to work with. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding or formal dress for any event.

I felt the same way about sizes at David's Bridal. I normally wear a size 12 and she was bringing me size 18's telling me that it's more my size. Then I mention something on my way out about feeling big and another girl was like- i have a hard time believing that you'd be wearing size 18, you look tiny. I am not tiny nor am I a size 18....just an overall weird feeling when they are talking about your size. I felt weird and a bit crabby after that. I will say that the way they give you a strapless bra and slip- as well as helping you in your gown is quite good service. I went to Sposabella in West Edmonton Mall- I couldn't get a smile let alone a bra or slip. At least David's Bridal is set up well with friendly staff and efficient procedures!

I had an amazing consultant and she found the dress of my dreams for me.

The first person I worked with was Rebecca. She was great. Intelligent and very sweet with me. She made me feel good about myself, and took her time working with me. If I buy a dress from David's Bridal it will only be from her. She even gave me a hug when I left. Go to her first!! :)
My second experience was not as nice. I worked with a different person. She kept talking about how size 18 was going to be discontinued, even though I only tried on one dress in that size, and that was only because the dress ran 4-5 sizes smaller than my normal size 12/14. It made me feel like she was picking on my weight. Then later she told me if I wore a certain dress (some fictious dress I did not even ask her about). I would have to wear an even larger size. Size 20. I tried on dresses at several other stores, and I did not need that size. How is that supposed to make me feel better :( Not only was it insulting, but it was not accurate. The point is I never asked her opinion on the subject, so I thought it was inappropriate. It hurt my feelings. There are plenty of ppl who are that size that is not the problem. It is that she size jumped me for a dress I never tried on.
Then she told me there was only one store with my size 14W (Tukwila). She wanted me to put money down on a dress that I never tried on. She says, "Trust me I have been doing this a long time." Well ladies, do you know how many ppl trusted someone from David's Bridal and ended up with the wrong size. I would have to pay for the alterations even if it was their fault. Don't fall for this line. They are always trying to get you to put something on layaway. Too pushy!
She did say that the dress I liked was stunning, and she was quick about putting the dresses on. I did ask her to clarify a few things, and it sounds like she was not trying to be rude. However, I would prefer someone not to randomly talk about stuff that makes a bride feel bad. Lastly, she was my size so she should know better. Both my mom and dad were a bit annoyed. I was anxious for the rest of the day.

The gals at the Burlington David's Bridal work very hard! I was in the shop multiple times and they were always friendly and accomodating. I was over charged on a sale item, but went back in and was refunded the money quickly, no questions asked. My dress and accessories came in before scheduled and I LOVED my dress (and it was only around $500!!).

I have nothing but good things to say about David's Bridal in Burlington. I have a very short engagement (3 months) and within 5 minutes of meeting my consultant Megan, I feel that we had an instant bond. I had my mom and my two teenage daughters (my bridesmaids) with me and everything that Megan pulled was right on the money. The ones that I pulled were a disaster! She was bright and helpful and although the shop was very busy all the associates were smiling and attentive. Megan and my mom helped me find the most beautiful dress and when everyone around me told me that I would be stupid not to get it, I knew that it was the one. Fit like a glove, NO alterations were needed at all. I found my bridesmaids dresses there at a later date and through my girls are both XS, Megan had a great idea to fit them in Jr. Bridemaids dresses, which I would never have thought of. They had to be ordered and came in promptly, in the correct color. I bought my shoes and everything else I needed there and all the staff that I encountered were awesome. This is a great place if you are on a budget, they understand that everyone may not be in the same financial situation, but treat everyone equal. My dress happened to have been on sale for $349 down from $800 and well worth every penny!! I'm glad that I came all the way down from Vancouver BC to check them out. I would and have recommended them to anyone!

I worked with Rachel and she was very friendly and helpful. I think I bonded more with the fun consultant at the first shop I visited but I have to say that I found far more dresses that could have been "the one" at David's. They let me pull a few to start and then my consultant was very good about going to find more as we narrowed it down. She also was super sweet about helping me try on the final two choices multiple times as I hemmed and hawed. I didn't have to order my dress because the one I tried on fit like a glove so now I just need to go back in to have cups added and the bustle done.
I also plan to have my bridesmaids order their dresses from David's since they offer a super cute and stylish tea length strapless cotton sateen dress that is very close to my original vision and each of them will get $20 off since I bought my dress there.

David's Bridal was the vendor for my bridesmaid dresses. They are inexpensive, but difficult to work with, have terrible service, and are disorganized.

David's Bridal has a huge selection and their prices are awesome. That was enough for me. And that's good because I found them to be disorganized, the staff there is over worked and spread too thin. I felt like they had NO time for me (and I'm pretty low maintenance to begin with). They require months on end for alterations, want you to pick up your dress the day it is ready, have no time for questions, and generally are just running all over the place. Not a calm or beautiful experience. But I got a great dress for an even greater price. I did want a hair piece they didn't sell anymore and one of the women who work there called me later in the day to say she had tracked it down for me in one of their California stores. So they get points for that!

Malita was my assistant at Davids Bridal and it was like she could read my mind. She new exactly what I would like, I tried on the dress that I had found on line and she got the shoes, viel, and accessories. It was perfect. The cost was less than I had expected and they did not make me pay all at once - They were all so sweet and seemed to want my day to be as perfect as I wanted it to be. They are great and when my daughter is old enough to get married if she does not want to wear my dress then we will MOST Definetly use Davids Bridal for her dress.

At David's Bridal (DB) you have to be slightly independent & a self starter/mover. We found my dress in one day at the Lynnwood DB. I had the help of 2 of my sisters which probably made a big difference too. We are all very proactive & decisive. Our employee lady was fairly helpful, & after trying on many dresses ran off to find a certain one that she remembered based on our comments & it ended up being THE dress. & it was on sale! $490 down from $800 in September. Thank you DB. I have received constant compliments on the dress & never seen anyone else in one like it. Go to Dillard's online though for bridesmaid dresses, better prices huge selection just search for evening dresses.
One star is lost for DB's complete lack of Petite sizes! if you are below 5' 2" (I'm 5' 0") a lot of the busts, trains, torsos, arm holes, &/or sleeves will be too long which either looks stupid (& they try to tell you it looks okay) or requires expensive alterations. They would NOT order in petite's for me to try on, unless i paid for the dress first & then there are NO returns, ri-friggin-diculous!! Who would buy a dress without trying it on first??? (i fortunately found a regular strapless which worked for my body)
The second star is lost for their alterations department. Since my dress was way too long due to my afor mentioned vertical challenge, I needed the back & the front hemmed for it to look proportionate when bustled. They will ONLY hem the front & a little to the sides because hemming the back is considered altering the original design & is not allowed. Plus they charged around $185 to hem just the front half & make a 3-point bustle (needed because of the excess train and it made my back side look huge). I found an independent seamstress who did the entire 4+ layer tulle hem all the way around & managed a sleeker 1-point bustle beautifully for only $100.
Maybe go there, after you've been to a couple other places & have an idea of what you're looking for. We also found my mother's dress at the Burlington location while browsing on a whim (she already had an okay dress planned but this one was better) & even though the poor girl Jessica was obviously running around for a couple brides, she took a minute to open a room for us & later found a good foundation garment that made all the difference. Thankyou Jessica in Burlington!

I had an overall nice experience at David's Bridal in Burlington, WA. I went in there only to look for bridesmaids dresses, thinking I had already found 'the dress'. I was gently told that they always have the bride try on dresses first. I was kind of irritated by that. However, I was a bride, so trying on dresses sounded like fun! So, I decided to go along with it. I gave her a few suggestions, and she brought back about five gowns. I found MY gown that day and also decided on wedding colors!! I put my gown on layaway on the last day of a sale... they have a 'special', if you will, that when you buy your dress, you get all accessories 15% off that you purchase THAT day. Since I put my dress on layaway, I inquired as to whether I would get that 15% off when I went in to purchase & pick up my dress. I was told by my salesperson and a manager that I would be able to. When I went back, I was told I could not do that. However, I didn't let up, and I had witnesses that heard what I was initially told as well. So, I got my discount.Every time I went in - every time - the person who was at the register could not figure out how to work it without help. I thought that was a little odd. I went back three times for fittings. My initial fitting was to do the hem. I called back the very next day, because I decided that I did indeed want some taken in around the middle. (The fact that I didn't do that at my first fitting was my fault. I thought it would be OK since the back of my gown laced up.) They didn't really have any appointments available, but I was desperate, and they got me in! I received reminder phone calls for my fittings, which was nice. When I went in for my fittings, there was never a wait. They steamed my gown as well as my bridesmaids & flower girl dresses free of charge... weeks after I had purchased them and taken them home!

When looking for a budget-friendly bridesmaid dress, I took a drive south of the border to Burlington just for David's Bridal. Their dresses are mostly simple, elegant designs. However, there were a few problems which I cannot overlook just because my bridesmaids looked stunning in my pictures! Firstly, the smallest size available is not very small at all! If you have bridesmaids who are sized 0 or XS usually, you're going to have to alter the dress afterwards. Secondly, there were very few sizes available to try on, and since my bridesmaids were not sized 16 or 20, it was hard to judge the cut of the dresses. First rant: the staff measured my bridesmaids and guaranteed that their sizing was correct, but in the end every single one of the dresses came in the wrong size. Also, there weren't many colours available in store to look at, which leads me to another rant. I ordered my dresses in a certain shade of lavender, and had the staff double and triple check the colour code when ordering in, since the colour wasn't in store. After I drove the two hours to go pick them up, the dresses were there in the wrong colour! I had to reorder all of the dresses for colour and size, which seemed a little ridiculous to me. Overall, although the dresses were beautiful, their staff didn't impress me at all with their knowledge of the merchandise and the store.

This David's Bridal location was mediocre. I did find the dress of my dreams; however, the staff were not professional, nor were they always present when I needed help in the store. They convinced me to buy undergarments that turned out to be unnecessary. They also did not let me know that they would not de-wrinkle it for free if you first take it from the store. One good thing -- the seamtress (Theresa) was excellent and a pleasture to be around. The price for alterations was reasonable.

I would never recommend a bride going through David's Bridal in Burlington. My hopes is that the other locations are more put together and professional then this location, but I had a horrid experience from the very beginning. Just to mention a few things; the gal who helped me try on my dresses wouldn't let me choose the dress I wanted without forcing me to try on other styles first (lady, I knew which one I wanted the second I tried it on!!) and they lost the paper with the shoe sizes of my bridesmaids on three separate occasions (three? really?) and the alterations were almost as expensive as my entire dress and accessories.. ridiculous.

I was surprised, but I got great service. I felt like I was in an expensive boutique, and the dress I ended up with was perfect. It looked designer, but for so much less. The dress I tried on was only on the rack in gold, so I had to special order it in white. They didn't have any pictures of it in white, but the staff was very helpful in finding me a picture to look at. THey called so many stores until they found a picture for me. Very happy overall.

They were very helpful, and insightful about how if you want a certain look, color and flowers, which items would work best for me.
GUEST

The manager was initially very rude to me. I put up a lot of fuss when I was treated with such disregard, and then I was patronized, but at least I got the services I had already paid for.

They were really nice to work with. They listened to what i did and did not want and really didnt force anything on me. We found some great deals there and got our garments before they were actually due to arrive. It was easy stressfree.

They let my bridesmaid switch her dress one week before since she had gained some weight! They were so fun and understanding!
