From buying the dress to alterations the team at David's was wonderful. I bought the dress in Feb 2010 and I had lost 40lbs before the wedding. They let me come in and get the dress in a smaller size and even let me change out my undergarments! They were all so helpful and wonderful from start to finish.

First of all, my dress was beautiful. My dress was a fantastic price. Those two things alone are enough to make me recommend Davids Bridal for your wedding dress. Now, the negative part of that is, you will have to deal/settle with some less than desirable things along the way. The store itself (Southside) is a bit tattered and the lighting and mirrors are not ideal for their purpose. The appointments are booked poorly which results in your salesperson leaving you for extended periods of time to help other brides. On a positive note, all the salespeople I met were very nice and helpful when they were available. The worst part of the experience for me was the cost of the alterations. I had minimal alterations and a bustle and it cost me almost $200. One of my bridesmaids had her dress altered and it cost more than the dress itself. The alteration shop itself only has appointments on certain days of the week, which can be limiting depending on your schedule. I feel somewhat torn recommending this vendor to other brides. If you have a bit of patience and are on a budget, then this could be a great option for you. If you are looking for a stress free fairytale shopping experience, look elsewhere...

So, I went to every Bridal Shop in town, and I picked my dress from David's Bridal. Why? Well because for the value for the money was the best I could find and they had an amazing selection! At some other shops, I tried on gowns that were between $1200-$5000 and there were some beautiful ones. However, if you're looking for an amazing dress for under $1,000 then David's Bridal can't be beat! Did I mention that I had so many compliments on my dress! I went to the Avenues location and worked with Aline and had a great experience!! She was so patient with me and helped me find the perfect dress. Plus she gave me her honest opinion on what was most flattering on me, and I really appreciated that! I also got all my bridesmaids dresses from here which was easy and fun. One word of advice. Make an appointment before you go and try to go during the week if you can. They're open till 9pm during the week and it's not as hectic as the weekends!

I am so thrilled!! I put my dress on layaway! I have a gret experience so far! They were wonderful abotu getting me the dress of my dreams, and the woman helped me try on 10 different dresses and helped me complete my look with tiara and veil and jewlery to match! I really felt like a princess!!

All their sales associates are very helpful but I found the store manager to be very rude and a bit condescending. I would recommend them just stay away from the manager. Other than that I LOVED it! Awesome prices, and even better staff. And they got everything I needed-- even last minute things right on time!! Very Helpful!

We had a great David's Bridal experience! I went with my sister (also my MOH) and my mother on a Wednesday afternoon. The store was empty, which I hear is not the case on the weekends, so go during the week and during the day if you want great service since they are slow then. I was there for six hours and the woman helping us even missed her lunch break by several hours to help me find the perfect dress. I wish I could remember her name because she was soooo helpful and nice. My advice, give David's a shot, just choose the time you go wisely.

Davids Bridal had the best selection at reasonable cost. My consultant did not listen to my budget, all the dresses she brought me were over budget and the price was not told to me until after I tried them on and fell in love with them. She was very patient however, as I tried on ALOT of dresses.

David's Bridal was wonderful I am from colorado and had one day to find my perfect wedding gown and I did it was the perfect gown for me. I interracted with lots of davids bridals one in akron ohio and 2 in colorado (aurora & westminster). Florida was wonderful they helped me figure out what i wanted. I went to the shop thinking i knew and quickly realized what i thought would look nice definetly didnt. They helped me realized what would look nice for my body type and coloring was an aline ivory because white washed out my face. Everyone told me i loked beautiful and my gown matched my venue perfectly. Thank you davids for making my day perfect. your customer service and williness to help was wonderful. All of my bridal party looked wonderful as well.

Davids offers a huge variety so there is something for every style and price range. The consultants are very helpful in helping the bride (and the bridal party) complete their entire ensemble from dress, to shoes to veil, etc. Alterations were prompt and professional and a reasonable price.

David's Bridal was the third shop that I went to. I had been so disappointed in the sales staff and the selection at 2 supposedly upscale shops. Kristine at David's Bridal could not have been more attentive or helpful. She listened to what I wanted and brought me dresses in my budget. I can't recommended them enough.

I had a wonderful experience with David's at the Avenues. My consultant, Odette, was AMAZING!! She was up front and honest with me. She was also very helpful. She listened to what I did and didn't like about previous dresses I tried on and suggested different dresses based on my preferences. I had not looked at the dress I ended up with but I am SO glad she brought it to me.
When the dress didn't fit and I ordered and size bigger she stood up for me when we realized the bigger dress was too big. She helped me figure out which would be more cost effective for me as far as alterations were concerned.
All in all I had a wonderful experience!

The dress looked expensive than it's real price and I loved it! I've always been a practical buyer and when I found the dress @ David's bridal I knew that it was the dress I wanted. Something simple and elegant. After I had it altered, the dress was perfect! I looked like Cinderella on my wedding day! And everybody loved my dress!

I purchased my bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal. They assisted me in finding the perfect dresses to compliment an outdoor wedding. I wanted the girls to have the same color, but wanted them to pick out a dress that fit their personal style. The consultant was so helpful and worked with each girl to find the perfect dress. I couldn't have been happier with the selections. Even though each dress was different, they complimented one another and made for a cohesive look.

I found my dress on the sale rack, so that was a score, but when it came time to have it altered I was very disappointed with their alteration department. What they told me originally they could do (alter the neckline and hemline) they were then saying they could not do it. I was very upset and they charged a ridiculous amount of money for simple alterations. There were extra threads and strings hanging off that I kept having to point out to the seamstress as she cut. I also had to have 4 fittings, because they could not get it right. Finally I just took the dress and steamed it myself and cut off the extra threads myself. I paid almost as much for the alterations as I did the dress. If you have it in your budget, go to a different store all together. In the end I was pleased, but only because I couldn’t deal with it anymore.

David's Bridal was the last place I expected to find my reception dress. But once i got there and realized there was so much more to the store than I ever knew. The ladies were extremely helpful and sweet. The alterations were spot on and the experience could not have been easier.I was so pleasantly surprised.

They have low quality of service compared to Alfred Angelo and other wedding gown stores in Jacksonville. The attitude!! They pressure you to buy the dress you like and say something like "What if the dress is gone tomorrow?". The sales person left me as soon as I paid for the dress at the cashier. She didn't even come back to see how the alteration was going. I needed to ask some questions but no one was helpful after I bought the dress. It seems like they only care about their own profit.

My experience with trying on and buying dresses wa wonderful. All of the consultants were helpful and gave their honest opinions. I was able to take advantage of the 12 month financing, which made my $1,000 dress seem a little more affordable. I brought my dress in about 3 months before my wedding to have alterations done, as I was changing quite a bit and wanted to give plenty of time. When I came in for my final fitting, my dress still wasn't ready. They had the dress for alterations for 2 months and waited until the very last minute to work on it. When putting my dress on the day of my wedding, I found out that they had removed the snaps or my sleeves..so I had to sew my sleeves on myself! I ordered my invitations from David's Bridal because I got a discount, and I'm really happy with how they turned out. I received them only a few weeks after placing the order, and everything looked perfect. All in all, I'd recommend them for purchasing your dress and invitations, but not for alterations.

Bridesmaids dresses were beautiful and it was easy for the bridesmaids since they were from different cities to use the David's Bridal shop in their home city.

I went to the David's Bridal at the Avenues. The consultant who helped me was great. She said that I could try on every dress if I needed to. It was such a stressful decision but she was so supportive and helpful! I couldn't be happier with the dress I picked.

I had a great experience with my local David's Bridal store here in Jacksonville (the Avenues location). They are a chain store so service can be hit or miss depending on when you visit and how busy they are, but both of my consultants were excellent. They were really patient with me and let me take all the time I needed. My Oleg Cassini dress was absolutely beautiful, and I was really impressed by the quality of the lace and beading which was far better than most of the other designers I tried on. Best of all, the gown arrived after only 3 weeks even though the estimated shipping date was 15 weeks.

Great selection of dresses and I absolutely loved my consultant. The manager was a bit pushy on the accessories which turned me off to buying anything but the dress.

I'm not gonna lie, my first experience with Davids bridal was horrible. My bridal consultant was more interested in making a sale than in finding me the dress of my dreams. She was terrible, and when she found out I wasn't going to buy any of the dresses I tried on, she left. She just walked away and when I asked her to help me again, she refused. But I went back, and explained what had happened and got a new bridal consultant. Her name was Stephanie, and she was AMAZING!! She found me the perfect dress and it was only the 2nd one I tried on!!! I would highly recommend her to everyone!

David's Bridal have the most beautiful dresses. I found my dress on my first visit. They give you an appointment and a planner that will assit you on your visit.

I know everyone says they dont want to get a dress at davids bridal because they'll have a dress so many other people have too. but. i went there because they were having a sale on their dresses. and because the other dress store i went to put their noses up at me when i told them my price range. i bought a dress that i loved and then took it to a family friend who added straps i wanted a a train with antique broaches to the back. it was great. i got a a lower price dress but ended up with the one i wanted with a few adjustments. i highly recommend it. even for the girls who want a totally unique dress like me.

With David's Bridal I'd say, "it is what it is" - a mass chain of bridal wear. With the exception of the Manager from this store, Karen, the folks we worked with were snappy, rushed and generally not the happiest to be around.We worked with David's Bridal in three states for our wedding and the experience proved consistent. But the bottom line for us was that we needed a shop that was convienent for all our bridal party (ladies) and this was it.The customer service with regard to follow up was terrible. The messages were curt, and somewhat demanding.

My ratings are solely on David's Bridal, but not the seamstress that worked there. I would look around a million times before the pressure you to buy your gown, and all the other bells and whistles too. They are worse than used car salesmen.It should be illegal to pressure brides to buy. After you buy anything....you have to keep it. There are no returns. So, make sure you look around. I actually dealt with one manager in particular and she was so rude. She didn’t smile, she acted like I was bothering her and she kept bragging how she doesn’t need this job, but she does it just for fun. Well, she stinks! She needs to be in a different profession.

I got my invitations from Davds Bridal because they gave you a discount if you bought a dress from there too. They were good quality and reasonably priced, but there were not very many stykes to choose from. Overall we were happy with them though.

They were so helpful, the gown was perfect, and anything I needed, they helped me get.

Had my wedding dress in stock, were very helpful to my mother, who purchased it. I only had issues with wedding dress vendors because I was living in Germany and trying to purchase a wedding dress from overseas - no one would take my order over the phone or internet.

I spent hours at this store with little to no help. The workers were rude and the person helping me left me in the dressing room and I could not find her when I needed her. She ignored me when I tried to get her attention. I would not reccomend this place to anyone planning a wedding...too frustrating! My wedding planner tagged along and had to complain to the manager.

Using David's overall was a great experience. I highly recommend using Stephanie if you come to this store. She can look at you and know the perfect dress for you, even when you already have one picked out! She did it with me and I loved my dress!

I spent over $1,000 at this store for my wedding. My maid of honor picked up my items the day before my wedding. When i got to the church I went to get dressed and I had no under garmets, my flower girls didn't have their slippers, and my shoes had foot prints in them and some of the stones had fallen out. I celebrated my wedding in a white dress with a black bra. My flower girls were bare footed and to make it worse I went to the store after my wedding and the manager I talked to showed me the receipt that my friend sign reading that she picked up all the items. I told the lady that I spent over $1,000 and If I was lieing it wouldn't be about $15.00 shoes and $32.00 under garmets. All I wanted was for her to say sorry what can I do for you. Insted she was so rude I ran out crying and said I would never come back. This was feb. 26, 2007 two days after my wedding. My wedding was Saturday and Sunday was a church day and the lady I spoke to on Monday didn't understand why I didn't come up there sooner if it was so important.

My bridal consultant Kristi was great. She was not pushy, but took her time to help me find my perfect dream dress. She was also easy to get in touch with, and available for help with my bridesmaids dresses, and other attire.

I was in between sizes, and was concerned about what alterations would need to be done in order to create a perfect fit for my big day... The ladies here were very helpful, and the alterations staff worked wonders on my gown!!!

The day I went to look for dresses, there was an unusually high number of brides trying on dresses. They were also experiencing a power outage. It took a lot longer than we expected for me to try on the dresses and choose one. They also tried to fight with me about the cost. I had gotten it off of a $99 rack, and they wanted to charge me $500 for it. Thankfully, the person who was helping try on the dresses vouched for me and I got it for $99. I also bought my shoes here.

I loved my dress & it came in in a timely manner, but my bridesmaid dresses were a different story. The attendant either didn't enter them into the computer correctly or something, cause it took 3 calls from me to get it right for my girls to order. Once they were here though, they were beautiful.

I loved my dress, but everything else that had to do with David's Bridal was a nightmare! Every time I had to deal with them concerning my dress or my bridesmaids' dresses, there was always some horrible turn of events. I would definitely not recommend them!

I had absolutely no problems with alterations or getting my dress. I had it in plenty of time for the wedding. I also had it cleaned and preserved through David's Bridal. It took a while for it to get back to me though.

I loved my dress and it was so easy. I was a plus-size bride and they had plenty of options for me to choose from unlike a lot of the specialty botiques.

I worked with a woman named Christina at the location on Southside Blvd., and she was so informative about the stores stock in dresses. She really listened to what I wanted, even when my mother and mother in law tried to push their own ideas. She really cared and was excited for me, and even asked for me to come back in with some photos from my wedding when we got back. I was so happy with her, that I brought 2 of my friends in to buy their dresses and bridesmaids dresses from her. She made my life so much simpler! Thank you!!
