I purchased my gown at this location. I can honestly say that my rep was wonderful. I tried on four gowns, but I fell in love with the very first one she brought me. They took there time with me and my party to ensure that we were satisfied. The other good part is that two of my bridesmaids live out-of-state and they were able to go to locations in their hometowns to get fitted and purchase their dresses.

i originally went to this location to get a dress, they were so busy the girl that was helping us was no where to be found. they didnt have a bra in my size to try on dresses with... i had picked out my bridesmaids dresses and they brought the wrong one! it was bad. didnt buy a dress here, went to davids bridal in toledo Oh they were super nice didnt need an appoinment and found the dress of my dreams!

I loved my dress that I purchased from Davids. Loved, loved, loved it. The tailoring that they preformed was also great – thought the lady I worked with was a bit rushed and a bit rude. Thought, it looked perfect after they were done. The only complaints really have is that the lady at the front was rude to me on my first visit. I will say that TONYA and the manager saved the day!
I would definitely recommend Davids to other brides because they have a huge selection of dresses and the dresses themselves are very reasonable – plus the discounts you get to help with the rest of the items is great. They also offer lay-a-way, which I took full...

overall, im ok with this bridal shop. but honestly, i am glad to never have to go back (until my sister gets married, of course...) everyone is friendly in general, and the dresses are nice (just like anywhere, you get what you pay for) you only wear it one day, so the quality of the dresses didnt bother me. the value is fair, they have dresses in all price ranges. my biggest complaint is that it is the most disorganized facility ever! nobody knows where things are, what the policies are, no one is on the same page. seems to me, they need more training there. but everyone who has helped me there was nice. we had TWO major mixups (they told me my dress was discontinued - it was a BRAND new style! i had MONEY in my HAND and they barely looked it up. turned out, it was a different dress that i had tried on once that was no longer available. and my MOH's dress came in with 2 different tags on it...it was 10 sizes too small and we had to lug it back and order a new one. my advice is to leave yourself time, order everything at once, and make sure everything is right so you can fix it on time. if you are a patient person, i would suggest going here. in the end everything worked out, but once i got my dress, i took it elsewhere to get altered. (it was about the same price, and much better care was taken with an outside alterations lady)

I went in to buy my dress a week before my wedding. Needless to say, they were in a frenzy trying to find a dress that both fit and was not completely cost unreasonable...they found the prefect dress and accessories in less than an hour and I walked out of there with a beautiful gown that didn't need alterations and it was perfect for my special day.

Pros:
The dress was beautiful and they had many selections for strapless dresses. Reasonably priced, I think. Though, I've been to places since then and saw similar dresses for lower prices.
My veil was beautiful too.
Cons:
Staff seemed rushed.
The rooms were a bit small
We went on a Saturday, and the place was pretty crowded--felt bad about taking my time looking at the dresses because other brides were waiting (felt rushed).
The alterations were a bit pricey for what was done, though I suspect other places are just as expensive.
Their long sleeve options were extremely limited (my wedding was before Kate Middleton's, so perhaps their selection has increased since then). I really wanted a longer sleeve dress, but had to buy a little jacket for the dress that I actually liked (the jacket was an extra
The price of the veil that I got was really expensive compared to the other ones, but my veil looked like better quality than the other ones (I think that the price should have been lower nonetheless).
**I would recommend this place, however, with a few...

I really have no major complaints. My dress was beautiful. My alterations were done perfectly. The bridesmaid dresses were amazing and their alterations were also done perfectly. The flower girls dress was on clearance for only $30! All in all.. I had a solid experience with this store.

The staff at David's Bridal did a great job helping me to pick out my dress and were wonderful and understanding I needed to get alterations on my dres.
GUEST

Everyone was very kind, and were patient enough to let me try on nearly a dozen dresses, and several different dresses for my Maid of Honor and bridesmaids. It was lovely service.
GUEST

I didn't have any problems with this store, and we were in here often for bridal and bridesmaid dress selections.

This David's Bridal has many pro's and many con's. On any given Saturday or Sunday, it's a zoo! I made several appoinments trying to find the perfect dress, and at two of those appointments were triple booked. I was putting all of my dresses on BY MYSELF. I seen my sales associate maybe a total of 5 minutes. They salesgirls are very friendly though. In the end, I did find the perfect dress and a great price!
GUEST

I loved my dress that I purchased from Davids. Loved, loved, loved it. The tailoring that they preformed was also great – I had to have it taken in and shortened. It looked perfect after they were done. The only complaints I have are that the sales reps are not as friendly and helpful as you would think they would be – which I would attribute to the fact that they overbook the sales reps - and that their alterations are pretty pricey – not so much for the bridesmaids/flower girls but for the bridal dress – wow. Alterations were about half the price of the dress itself.
I would definitely recommend Davids to other brides because they have a huge selection of dresses and the dresses themselves are very reasonable – you’ll be ok there with any budget. I tried a few bridal salons in the area but they blew them out of the water with variety of styles and prices. Also, they have a great selection of bridesmaid dresses and colors.
GUEST

Everything went according to plan and the staff was excellent. The only trouble to be found was that I was not articulate enough to communicate what I needed at alterations. I take most of the responsibilty as I was overrun by the opinions of my family members
GUEST

A lot of their things are over priced. My dress was beautiful but I wish there was more choices.
GUEST

I used David's Bridal for my bridesmaids dresses and I loved it! I actually head a lot of bad things from other people but I guess its important not to listen to everything you hear! The dresses were beautiful and a good price. They all came in at a reasonable time and I didn't have any issues!
GUEST

I loved my Dress. The service I received when I first purchased my dress was wonderful and the woman who did my bustle and alterations was also very nice. Aside from those two trips, the rest of my visits to Davids were accompanied by less than professional service. We had questions about Bridesmaids dresses but were basically left to fend for ourselves. My bridesmaids ordered sashes and somehow they came in two different colors. With David's as with any establishment you get what you pay for...their prices are very affordable so their service is less personal and not necessarily the best but the products seem to be good...
GUEST

The consultant at David's was very busy when I went to try on dresses so my future mother-in-law and I pulled them ourselves. I preferred it this way, however, because I dislike sales pitches and being rushed. We never felt rushed at all, in fact. My dress ended up being on sale and I came back to put it on Layaway within a couple weeks.
I needed to gain weight before the wedding and bought the dress a size bigger because of this. When the time came it didn't happen, so I brought my dress and receipt into the store to ask about an exchange, but the manager was very rude to me. She cut me off when I started to explain the situation and when I showed her my receipt she seemed annoyed and surprised. I didn't end up exchanging the dress because the size wasn't available but I left very unhappy anyway.
Alterations were quoted at $250+, which is almost what I paid for the dress to begin with, so I went elsewhere.
GUEST

A great place to find your perfect dress at a reasonable price.
GUEST

It was very easy to make an appointment, but when we got to the store it was very busy! There are a ton of dresses and it is kind of overwhelming.
GUEST

Loved all the choices I had just too many people trying on dresses all at the same time.
GUEST

VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE!!!!!! Dont waste your time, the staff is very rude and unhelpful. If I wouldn't of feel in love with my dress I would of definetley gone else where.
GUEST

I enjoyed my particular consultant. She worked with the girls and I with patience and a big smile, but the store in general was a little overbooked, and when I would call to make a payment on our dresses, I was constantly being put on hold or being told that someone would call me right back. So that was a little frustrating but overall it was a great experience. Thankfully, I'm only getting married once!
GUEST

horrible experience. would recommend to pay a little more and you get way better service and quality
GUEST

My dress was beautiful but......The service is horrible!!! You are rushed from the second you walk in, they assign you someone who is working with 4 other clients, so you never get the time or attention you need! If you don't have alot of money to spend on a dress then go here, but don't have it altered there because they took way to much out of my dress and I didn't have to money to have it fixed before the wedding. I had to have it pinned! Buy your veil and other accessories somewhere else because they are VERY high priced! Over all not a horrible experience but I wouldn't recommend them for anything other then buying your dress!
GUEST

Absolutely loved my dress. It fit perfectly and I received many compliments on it. Terese did a great job in helping me find the perfect dress.
GUEST

I thought I was getting an amazing deal on a beautiful wedding dress, which it was beautiful and not too expensive, but I'm rather tall so I had to order an extra long dress for $50 more, and then when it came in it was so long I had to spend $130 just to have it hemmed up again. My specialist was very professional, but the alterations department is outrageously priced, and the lady there couldn't even understand me when I was trying to explain how to bustle my dress. I wanted my bridesmaids to get the discount for using them for my bridal dress. On the wedding day, one of my bridesmaids zipper blew out so when she went to the store to replace it they didn't have one available and she had to drive out for 45 minutes to the next store just so she could get a new one. Each time we went into the store they didn't seem to recognize me, and I had been in there countless times for each dress fitting for each bridesmaid, myself, and the mothers, which was a little discouraging. I wouldn't recommend them unless you have a lot of patience.
GUEST

I was extremely pleased with my dress and the service I received. People couldn't believe my dress was from David's Bridal it was so beautiful.
GUEST

The staff at this location wasn't as friendly and helpful as in other stores. But they did allow me to return a dress and exchange it for a new one when I dropped a few sizes prior to the wedding.
GUEST

Please do not buy dresses from here. If you try on the dress in the store prior to order and order it, you will be disaapointed because the dress does not fit the same. If you get there late and pick up the dress without trying on the dress, if the dress does not fit or don't like it, you are out of luck; because the dresses are final sale. A horrible place!!
GUEST

The staff was friendly. David's Bridal has a huge selection of gowns! It would be impossible to to find something that you like. What I didn't like about this particular location is that there was always a long wait at the register. They never seemed to have more than one person ringing at a time(although there was more than one register). This was very frustrating at times. Especially when I would see other employees standing around doing nothing.
GUEST

I used David's because I had a lot of out of state bridesmaids and I thought it would be more convenient for them to order their dresses from a store that was local to them. Initially, the saleswoman seemed friendly enough although we were curtly welcomed when we came in to browse bridesmaid dresses without and appointment. Since my mom and I had dedicated our day to shopping for wedding things, we decided to take a peek at the gowns on the sales rack. As soon as I started looking at those, I was told by the associate that if I wear a size 6 jeans that I would wear a size 8 in wedding gowns. Trusting her, I started looking in the 8's and found the same dress that I'd been checking out. To make a long story short, I decided on getting that dress and was measured for all of the alterations that day. After being sticker-shocked by the cost of the alterations (almost double the cost of the dress!) I realized that I had been scammed. Within 5 minutes of walking out the door, I went back in and told them that before anything was done, that I wanted to try on the 6. It fit almost perfectly. Even though all of their sales are final, they did do the exchange -- probably hoping not to make a scene in front of the other customers. I think this is a chain-wide policy because I heard the same thing told to another customer when I was at another David's Bridal location. I refused to deal with the Madison Heights location anymore after that -- so I took the dress for its complementary cleaning at the Port Huron location. There, they kept putting off cleaning my dress, telling me that since my wedding was months away it wasn't a priority. (It was a priority to me though, considering that I was taking it to a seamstress for alterations). My in-laws and my cousin both had problems at this location too because the Madison Heights store had messed up my profile in the computer so they couldn't bring up my dress selections.
All in all, the dresses were beautiful, but the hassle was not worth it. You can find beautiful dresses at much more honest establishments. Oh yeah, and on more than one occasion, I witnessed other guests resort to yelling at the manager because they couldn't get the service that they needed after trying to deal with the associates. Each time they swore that they would never again do business with them, and that they would tell everyone they knew to do the same.

I wanted a very plain simple white dress, as I was adding my husband's kilt pattern as a sash around my waist (called an airsaid, it traditionally goes over your shoulder and across your chest, but I wanted a more modern look). David's Bridal was the ONLY place I could find such a dress (no sequence, beads, lace, giant bows, puffy sleeves) and while I had my reservations about DB's, I knew I didn't really have a choice. I made an appointment, and was pleasently suprised. The woman helping me quickly found my dress, and grabbed a couple more that were similar. I wish I could remember her name, but it was over 2 years ago. She was very friendly and made me feel very comfotable. I tried on my dress first, and knew the other two she grabbed were pointless. The dress was absolutely perfect. It needed no alterations. I think I was there less than an hour. Everyone knocks DB's, but my experience was almost perfect. The only problem I had was upon picking up my dress (they needed to hold it so it could be cleaned) was the woman insisted I try it on again, and when I did she tried to find something to alterate. (This was a different woman.) It still fit me perfectly, but she tried her darndest to squeeze another penny out of me. In the end, I won, of course.

Take heed. Take my advice. Take your money and your one bride moment to a different vendor.
Horrible. Frustrating. Insulting. That about sums up my experience. The ONLY good thing about my experience was the cheap price tag on the dress. Guess you get what you pay for, and I barely got that! The dress withstood the evening, no casualties.
I am not a difficult person -- no seriously, I am VERY nonconfrontational and easygoing. Here's my experience start to finish:
I made an appt for a Tuesday about a week ahead of time. I get there, no appointment. They rummage me up a girl (by the way, I'm the ONLY customer in the store), and she sort of tells me what I'm supposed to do. First time in the store, every vendor is different, you need a little direction on how to start your search. She leaves for an hour, and then doesn't assist me when I am trying to get dressed. I had to ask for shoes, a bra, everything. Thankfully my mom and sisters were with me so I was able to get into / out of the dresses.
I find one I like -- much against my better judgement, but fact being it was my favorite. I order it -- it's August 2007, I'm getting married Aug 2008. It comes in Sept 07 -- they tell me I have 2 weeks to pick it up. And do what with it for the next 11 months?! When I arrive to get it, she hands it to me over the counter in a clear plastic bag -- NOT a dress bag, not even a white bag you can't see through! I ask if I can get one of those dress bags, nope they are out, come back. ( I live 30 miles away.)
June rolls around and I bring it in for a fitting. She pins, never measures. I come back 2 weeks later by myself to pick it up. It is CRAZY tight. It's mermaid style, strapless so I know it's supposed to be tight, but I don't know HOW tight. I struggle into it, have the seamstress do it up -- no joke, I have to shallow breathe. By the way, I'm a size 2. Being nonconfrontational, I ask if that is what it's supposed to look like. She says yes. I say I can't breathe too well. She says because it's strapless, it has to be that tight. I could barely walk -- says it's the style of dress. I asked if it can be a little looser, she says not if I want it to stay up -- "just don't get fat". Seriously, did she just tell my skinny butt not to get fat? I am not insulted by this for my mentality, but what if she says that to all the girls? Some brides would stop eating, start barfing, CRY -- any and all of the above. So I'm too frustrated and chicken to argue any further. I get home, call everyone I know to have them justify to me I am not crazy for being mad. My mom sees the dress a week later, and we can't even get the darn thing done up this time!
I call to make another appt -- furious about needing to as I am steadily running out of time. I return there only because there is no way I am paying for someone else to fix her mistakes, I'm demanding she do it for free (well, my angry mother-in-law-to-be is demanding). Earliest appt -- 2 weeks. It's now mid July, I'm to be married August 1st! Freaking out. We get there, I put the dress on, bend down to fix my shoe -- zipper blows open! Yeah, that could have been on my wedding day! 2 seamstresses and a manager later, we have finally manuvered the dress for another fitting. She doesn't measure me. I insist, she grudgingly does -- never writes it down. Dress will be ready July 25. WHAT?! That is ONE WEEK before my wedding! THE FRIDAY BEFORE!!! WHAT IF IT DOESN'T FIT?! Take it or leave it.
So I panic, pick out a dress as a back up from the greatest wedding boutique ever -- LAURA'S BRIDAL IN SHELBY TWP, MI. They can have my new dress ready in 3 days. Material is flawless, bead work exquisite -- you CAN tell (and I don't even usually care about that stuff!) They flaunt me, adore on me, cater to me... I leave, I cry. I screwed up. I could have been daunted on, which I don't demand or even need on a usual basis, but you know what -- you are a bride. You are a big deal for the 2 minutes you get. Find a store that understands that. By the way, the backup dress was only $300 more than the DB dress. SO worth it. (Alterations included, and it was from Italy).
Go back to DB's to determine if the dress is a go. I don't even like it anymore, but am convinced I should not waste money on a new dress if this one does fit. It doesn't. It's too big. We add a strap to hold it up (not what I wanted), but it's removable so I don't have to use it for the ceremony. I take it -- and tell everyone I can to buck up and go somewhere nice (ie my little sis who just bought the most gorgeous gown from Laura's Bridal).
GUEST

Although I found the perfect dress, they were misleading in their costs. I was told by one sales associate that my fittings would be free, then told they weren't. They ordered my dress 3 sizes too big and by the time the fittings were done, I would have paid more than I did for the dress. I took my dress to my hometown dress shop and got my fittings for half the cost of the dress and they were much more professional. I would not recommend using David's Bridal for fittings and alterations at all.
GUEST

loved them!
GUEST

Sandi- the consultant was amazing. The company its self is very pushy. Alterations are extremely costly- would recommend going to a ma n pa shop.
GUEST

I worked with Tonya Brooks at the Madison Heights location. She was very patient with me and allowed me to try on as many dresses as I liked. I gave her my budget and worked well within it. When my mom and I choose the perfect dress within seconds Tonya had the complete look (slip, bra, tiara, veil, shoes, and jewelry) put together within my budget. Due to my budget I ordered my dress in February only five months before my wedding date. The staff made sure my dress came back early. My dress was back in April. As for my bridesmaid, they did an excellent job with them also. The dresses were beautiful and all came back accurate. No matter how late we may have ordered something or changed something, they made it happen for us. It was truly a great experience.
GUEST

My dress was great and I didnt have any problems, one of my bridesmaids had some problems with her shoes!

very dirty store. sales people were very rude. felt as if they didn't want to really be there let alone help us find what we were looking for. would not recommend this location to anyone.
GUEST

I was happy with my dress and service, but my bridesmaids weren't. There wasn't a whole lot of selection for the mother of the bride and groom, and I felt the flowr girl selection was poor and ridiculously high priced!
GUEST

I had 2 problems with David's. Our sales rep barely paid attention to us after she made her sale and I didn't receive 2 important calls from them about when items of mine arrived. Alteration prices were very high, too.
Other than that they had a good selection and the price didn't kill me, either. If you decide to go to David's I recommend making calls to them on occasion to check the status of their deliveries.
GUEST

Here's the deal....if you get a good sales rep. for the first bridal fitting, everything seems PERFECT. She'll throw all sorts of gowns your way, show how you look in different mirrors, and schmooze you. She'll even send you a "Thank You" after you purchase that dream dress and get her commission. BUT, the kicker is every other time you visit the store after that initial "hook". I think they figure, "hey, she bought the gown, what do we care now?" When you return to the store to try on the dress once it arrives, or for the bridesmaid fitting for that matter....they ignore you. You practically have to BEG for someone to get you the right size or to answer a simple question. I stood around waiting for someone to help me when I HAD an appointment ahead of time for approx. 30 MINUTES. Absolutely absurd. So, what I recommend is that if you happen to find the perfect dress here, buy only that. Take it and walk away. Avoid the hassle of being treated like far less than you should be treated when you are preparing for the special day.
GUEST

I bought my dress off the rack on the $99 sale. I was surprised that I found a dress since I had heard that many of the dresses at that sale are damaged and selection is poor. They had about 5-6 dresses in my size at the price and I tried them all on. I found one that I just loved. It looked very new and had no damage from people trying it on. The salespeople were fairly pushy about my buying the veil, jewlery, shoes, etc ... but i refused all of that and took my dress home. I did not do any alterations there or have it pressed there. I did those things myself. Great value.
GUEST

Not a particularly happy group. They have all these weird rules and regulations which make the customer feel awkward. You can't look at anything without signing in. You aren't supposed to browse the dresses by yourself. They just breathe down the back of your neck like you're a criminal or something. Didn't like the atmosphere at all. Very stressful. No customer service skills at all. You feel like a child with your hand in the candy jar. Quite unnerving!!
GUEST

David's bridal in my opion was very hit and miss, for my wedding dress they were great, but trying to use them for our bridesmaids and flower girls dresses, they really don't give you the time of day.
GUEST

I loved the professionalsm of the assistan who helped me. She was wonderful. My wedding was planned in less than a month. It was in the Upper Penninsula in the month of November. I had a budget and they were able to help me stick with it.
When I walked int he door, I was given an assistant who asked what exactly I wanted my dress to look like. I was very flexible to say the least since this had been my first visit to David's to look for a gown. My assistant went straight to work, first finding my under garments, then the shoes, and then the dress. She brought about 4 different fits to start with. The first dress I tried on was PERFECT! I was in love again. So happens it was from the ninety nine dollar rack. She the found my tiara, and my veil to match, and last but not least, a cardigan to fit over top so I wasn't to be cold.
In that same day I was also able to have my fitting done. The turn around time on the fitting and ulterations on my dress was IMPECABLE. Since I was to be married in about 10 days.
A week after they were able to help me find my maid of honor her dress as well. They did not have her size but they were able to find it at another store within a decent driving distance.
Honestly this was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I was very happy with the professionalism, and the courtesy of their employees. The willingness of them to help make my day the greatest, most happiest moment of my life.
GUEST

Had a great person helping with the dress fitting however, when you make an appointment you have to be willing to be patient since they book several appoints for one person at the same time. Great reccomendations and loved my dress!
GUEST

This is a great place to buy a dress if you want a nice dress for not a lot of money. They have a ton of selection. My brides maids live in many different cities and were able to go to the local franchise and try on the dress to find the size that fit. It worked out great!
GUEST

I was disappointed in the service but sometimes you get what you pay for.
I was lucky to find the perfect dress in my size (no alterations!!) during a $99 sale..but I felt like i was shopping for a prom dress :(
If i had any questions, I wasn't really helped and I was rushed along.
GUEST

My dress was so beautiful, but the quality of service from the manager of this location was disqusting, we had a lot of problems from the day that we ordered our dresses (bride & bridesmaids).....I would recommend any other location but them....
GUEST

The only part I didn't like was that they were very picky about what alterations they would do, so I had to go elsewhere to make the changes I wanted.
GUEST

The lady was very helpful. My alterations were done perfectly and ahead of schedule. Beautiful choices!
GUEST

The dress was beautiful but the staff was not always professional or friendly.
GUEST

The prices are wonderful, but the service is horrible. Everytime I was there I had to get a need lady to help me because the one that had helped me before did not work there anymore. Tehy were rude and make you wait for hours to answer your questions!!!
GUEST

Davids has good sales people and bad... The first lady we were paired up with was extremely pushy! When we returned we asked for a different lady. The dress was gorgeous and better yet was on sale! They handled my alterations there and did a good job. However, I wish they would handle dress alterations for free for the bride like some salons do. When you pay that much for a dress that you will wear once it should include making it fit you.
GUEST

Hated Davids Bridal at this location. Not friendly, had an appt and never once had soemone to help me. Very dirty floors for your dress to be drug on, and smells weird. I would never tell neone to go here. After spending $1000. on a dress they ave it to me in a plastic garbage bag looking thing. They could of at least gave me a good zip up bag to keep it in.
GUEST

Wonderful service, very helpful in accommodating all of our needs
GUEST

My dress was exactly what I wanted and you couldn't beat the price.
GUEST

My bridesmaids dresses were purchased from this location. Every time I personally went in with one of the bridesmaids, we had to wait seemingly forever for someone to help us. Although the dresses were nice, we were not very happy with the service.
GUEST

My girls were able to get their dresses for $99 and ordered new, because they were being discontinued. They were flexible because one of my girls decided to drop out about 6 months before my wedding and she was a size 10 and the person that I replaced her with was a size 18 they were able to look at other stores and even exchange the 10 for an 18 without any issue. I loved them for that.
GUEST

I found a dress that was exactly in my price range. Also the bridesmaid dresses.
GUEST

The only issue I had with DAvids bridal was when I went in for my final fitting on my dress we noticed that there was a HUGE tare in my train. THankfully, Davids was able to order me a new dress and had it in time for my wedding.
GUEST

Nice dresses for a good price.
