Davids Bridal

It was simple to go to Davids Bridal. They helped you put the dress on and pick other ones out. They were also very friendly.

Everything went well with davids bridal as far as the weddign dress and bridesmaid dresses go. i had all the girsl (all were from out of state) go to their local stores to buy and alter their dresses. all dresses were shipped to me and i brought them all in myself for the steam and clean. the price for alterations was outrageous. the bridesmaid dress was 114, the alterations 85. The one store in fairfax virginia did not do the alterations well as you could see the rbidesmaid bra wher ethe dress hung lose, talk about safety pin usage! i could blame the store as well as the bridesmaid for that issue. my main complain is the no return policy, especially if you try to return things like a veil or tiara...never worn, and wedding still 2 months away.... was a pain!

Terrible customer service. Didn't order a dress when they were suppose to, had to call when it didn't come in to find out they messed up & said that one of the bridesmaids took a dress from the store & did not order the dress...the dress was never taken from the store. Tried to force another bridesmaid to buy a dress in the store that had been tried on by everyone & was snagged, etc...they finally let her order one as new instead of taking a used one from the store...which would have been the same price. Messed up ordering a sash for my flower girl...never placed the order.

The staff were amazing! We walked in to get ideas and walked out with the most gorgous dress for me in hand and equally amazing dresses for the bridesmaids and jr.bridesmaids on order - and all this in just three hours with no real concepts except for my dress!

Davids Bridal was a very good one stop shop for me. I was lucky enough to find a beautiful dress for only 150$ a tiara, a flower basket, ring pillow, garder, and a book and pen all for under 800$. Its great, while i was there they were great help and did not try to pressure me into one choice oer another. It seemed like the woman that was helping me get my dresses on and picked out was very honest. She was very truthful about what dresses looked good and which dresses didnt make the cut. I would definatley recommmend davids bridal to first time brides because they can point you in the direction that you need to go and can help you find other things that you need for your wedding, whether they carry it or not.

Gown:
I'd heard horror stories from brides about their experience with David's Bridal. My mother, maid of honor and I stopped in with the intentions of just trying dresses on to see what looked good. We didn't intend to buy that day. I had an appointment when the store opened. The store clerks sat a table in the front of the store to gather information about you prior to setting you up with a consultant. I was not comfortable with sharing clothing and bra sizes with other brides and their guests sitting and standing literally right next to you. The consultant looked at the photos I'd brought and pulled some dresses. Some were ones I'd liked and others ones that she thought would work. She was quick to bring out the additional products - shoes, bras, jewelry, etc. The consultant did a good job of "backing off" and allowing us to make our own decisions. However, when it was decision time between a couple of dresses, the consultant left us to deal with another bride. She didn't come back or check on us. I ended up purchasing the dress and veil there.

Bridesmaids Dresses:
My maid of honor ended up trying on dresses the same day I bought my dress. The consultant had left us alone to prowl the racks and search for a dress. There was very little involvement from the consultant until we flagged her down to ask about ordering the dress in a different color. However, she did comment on dresses/colors as she say the MOH in them while assisting other brides. I was also disappointed that neither the MOH nor I received a call or notice from the shop when the dress arrived. I had to contact them to find out the status of the dress.

Alterations: Four Stars
Very impressed with the work and speed. I'm tall so the length of the dress was just right. The seamstress added the bustle and took the dress in. The dress initially had a very deep neckline which I was not happy with (I have a large bust). The seamstress decided to add a "patch" to the neckline which made the dress much more wearable. There is a band of crystals on the dress and the seamstress was able to add enough decoration to the modesty panel to make it match. No one who looked at the dress is able to tell that the panel was not part of the original design.

The consultant I worked with at David's bridal was excellent. She did a great job at listening to my feedback and choosing dresses I liked. She was great at helping me find a style of dress that I liked and what color of white looked best on me! David's Bridal prices were very reasonable and I had no problems getting my dress in a timely manner. We also went back a second time to select the veil and hair piece, so it was not as overwhelming the first day. On the second visit, the owner personally helped me since it was a very busy Saturday. Although there were hundreds of options to look through she knew exactly which few would look best with my dress. This made the decision much easier.

They worked well with me and my Bridesmaids.

They have the best selection, the most styles and colors and the best accessories. Not to mention the pricing is good too!

I was highly disappointed with a dress I got here. I tried on the exact dress I wanted in a different color. The sizing was perfect, no alterations would be needed. After I paid extra to get the dress here in time, the wrong dress size was ordered and I ended up with a dress that was one size smaller than the dress I had tried on and ordered. When I presented the issue to the management they said that after I had been measured they thought I could use the smaller size and thats why they ordered the smaller size for me. I think they just ordered the wrong size and didnt want to admit it. They then told me my only option was to get a dress from another store rush delivered and then pay the alterations charges to get the dress fitted to me. Keep in mind the only dress in the color and style I wanted was 6 sizes too big and i was offered no discount or apology. I took my dress that was too small and squeezed into it 2 weeks later after a horrible diet and my other clothing almost needing to be taken in due to their mistake.

They worked great with us.

If you need a dress on a budget, without a lot of extras, this is the place for you.

This David's Bridal I would not recommend to anyone but the David's Bridal in Pineville is excellent.

Over all I would not recommend this retailer to anyone. The experience to me was way over rated and over prices. Though it did not take me long tobook them, it seemed more like a labor doing business with them.

For a wide selection of wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses, and mother of the bride gown...this is one of the top pics of my brides!
