This David's Bridal was really good. I had a wonderful girl, Tara, help me find my dress. Listened to what I liked and didn't like and my price range. 4 dress I tried on was the one. Alterations was fantastic. I chose one style of bustle, but ended up changing my mind and gave me no hassle.
My bridesmaids dresses did come in the wrong color, but they had them reordered in the right color right away.
Also got my junior bridesmaids dresses last minute, they had them expedited for me without additional cost and were very helpful.
Prices are very reasonable, and for a franchise, the dresses really are beautiful...

David's Bridal is a huge wedding dress store and has something for everyone. I couldn't imagine paying thousands of dollars for a dress I'll wear once, but I certainly wanted one that looked like I did. And I actually found it at David's. The manager of the Orange, CT store, Patrice, is phenomenal. She is young, spunky (but not irritating), professional, and really knows her customers. I would definitely use them again. The only issues I had was with the bustle. It was entirely too complicated and it took 30 minutes to get it up at the reception at which time I was panicking. My husband, a civil engineer, is finally the one who got it. And by the end of the night I had torn all the buttons out. But hey, it's not a party unless the wedding dress gets trashed, right! Well, it would have been nice not to have so many stressful complications with the bustle; I kept stepping on it during the first dances. Still, I would use them again, but just get a dress with no train -- or bring a scissors to the reception. I LOVE PATRICE!

I loved the simplicity and elegancy of my dress. It was among the first I tried on and knew it would be mine. The value was perfect since I did not want to invest too much in my dress. The beaded sash complimented it perfectly and with the lime green beads my mom added to it--it gave my dress the touch I wished for. The only problem I had was with alterations because they were not as attentive as I hoped they would be for the price I paid.

I was very pleased with my invitations end result. They looked beautiful and we got many compliments on the quality and beauty of them. For this reason ALONE I would recommend them. We went online and designed them ourselves and that is what I would suggest doing!! They were very nice for the price we paid and we used davids because we were able to choose one we liked online and go to the store to see it and touch it in person. As far as Davids Bridal consultants I would avoid these people at all costs!!! They are terrible in the this store. I had numerous encounters with them and they were atrocious every single time! I am a very easy going and relaxed yet every time I went into this store I left fuming and annoyed. I go in to look at the invitations we already created online and the lady is talking about did you get your dress yet? Did you get your bridesmaid's dresses yet? Do you need a photographer, videographer all with in the first five-seconds of walking in the door, I get you want sales but I came to look at invitations!! After all that she then proceeded to tell me they could not match the ribbon for the invitation to my color because I did not get my dresses there (I didn't need an exact match just similar) and so for that I decided I would go to Michael's Crafts and get my own, which I saved myself $40.00 by doing. We then had her pull our invitation up online because we saw "!" and did not know what it meant or how to fix it (which was another reason we went into talk to someone there) she couldn't even help us make it right, just said "I don't know what to tell you". At the end of all this nonsense she then asked if I would drop off an invitation for her, she wanted to make a book of all the invitations she created! I couldn't even take it... WE made them online, ourselves and she wanted to put them in a book and pull it off as her own work! Despicable!!!

The mother of the bride gown was a good value, but the flexibility was poor and the "In store" service
was not very responsive or flexible and could be more professional.
The price of the gown was...

I didn't rate them super high bc sometimes they couldn't work around my schedule and a lot of misunderstanding but I love my dress I love the value for it and in the end I wouldn't of picked anywhere else to get my dress

I loved my dress. It was an Oleg Cassini and it was absolutely breath taking. I loved my original consultant Patrice. She is so nice and really listens to what you want and what your budget is. However, other staff that I dealt with were not as helpful and seemed more interested in making commission than actually listening to what I wanted. In the front end of the store, I was ignored by staff almost every time I came in and many times had to go and find someone myself in order to get assistance. Also, I was told that I would be informed when anything I ordered was in and I never got any phone calls unless it was saying that if I didn't pick up my items they were going to send it back because they've had it for weeks. My bridesmaids had the same problem. Overall it was an okay experience (Good because of my consultant) but I probably would recommend trying other places first.

My experience in selecting a wedding dress at David's Bridal was amazing. I thought it would take hours, days or even weeks to select a wedding dress, but it wasn't like that for me at all. The sales lady at David's Bridal was so friendly and helpful in helping me select the right wedding dress for me. I actually choose a dress on my visit to David's Bridal in a matter of only a couple of hours which was awesome for me. My brides maids/matron of honor and flower girl got their dresses there too and their experience was just as good as mind was. Loved the fact that one of my bridesmaids lived out of town, but was able to be helped at another David's Bridal in her town. I would recommend David's Bridal to any bride who's looking for a beautiful inexpensive wedding dress, as well as good quality. The same goes for brides maids/matron of honor or any special occasion dress.

Although the women in front were not as helpful or timely, my consultant was awesome. I found my dress quick, ordered it the next day and it came in two weeks later! The quality of my dress was great, especially for the price.

I got my dress and bridesmaids dress from here. Finding my wedding dress was a breeze! It was on a weekday so the store was not busy at all and my dress was one out of the 4 I had tried on. Later on, for alterations I felt like the wait was a little longer.
They were also great with helping my bridesmaids order dresses as they were scattered in location. The price was great for the dress and hopefully the girls will be able to wear them again!

I was pleasantly surprised with David's Bridal. I really did not think I would end up with a dress from there, but when I stopped into the Orange store, after shopping around for a few months, to "just quickly try on a dress" (my parents were in town briefly and wanted to be with me while I tried at least one dress), I ended up finding the perfect dress (Style SWG339). My consultant was very nice and I didn't feel like she was just saying something to sell me the dress (which I had felt in a more expensive store where I tried on dresses).
I purchased my shoes (style BLYTHE) there too. They were not the most beautiful (but you couldn't see them under the dress) and I have to say they were SUPER SUPER comfortable (most of my friends ended up barefoot at the end of the night, but I kept my shoes on all night).
In general, I was really pleasantly surprised by David's Bridal.

I loved goign to Davids Bridal for my dress and all of my bridal party dresses! The women there were so nice and helped out as much as they could. It was nice to go in and not feel rushed or pressured to buying anything and if they think something would look better they would tell you and try it, and they were right. Ordering went smoothly and everyone looked stunning. I had lost two dress sizes and they were able to exchange my dress for a smaller size even after having the first dress for over a year! I wouldnt go anywhere else! Not to mention the options they have!
GUEST

I was really happy with my purchase at David's. It was a great value, I didn't want to shell out too much for a one day event, and no one would have ever known I spent less than $500 on it...so many compliments even from people who only saw it in pictures.

Prior to choosing a gown, I had gone to quite a few bridal boutiques that were not of my taste or level of customer service as David's of Orange, CT. My consultant was very patient, supportive and knowledgeable in helping me choose a wedding gown. It took me 3.5 hours to choose my gown!! I tell you, it was well worth the money spent.
The staff in this store - absolutely great!!!
GUEST

My bridesmaids all got their dresses from here. Not bad, the dresses were beautiful, but they ship very slowly and 3 of them had to exchange for the correct size.
GUEST

They Match all my colors to my wedding colors, the dresses where beautiful and fitting.

I bought my dress from David's Bridal. Although I loved my dress, I did not love the service I had at David's. They seem way to busy in there to pay any attention to you when you come in. Also, my alterations were a nightmare. When I came for my final fitting, I had snag marks in my dress, makeup stains etc..They tried to blame me for the snags! Seeing that I didn't have the dress and they did for the last 2 months I don't know how they could blame me. It was clearly on the bottom of the dress. I had no time to order a new one since the wedding was a week and a half away. They tried to steam it to make it better, which only helped slightly. Then I felt like I was getting pressured to preserve the gown. The girl there was saying she would give me a deal which ended up not being a deal cause I saw the prices listed in the back of the store. I reported it the manager. The place is ghetto and unprofessonal!
GUEST

I absolutely loved the dress i found there! i thought that the alterations could have been a little more professional!

I purchased my wedding dress at David's Bridal in Orange for a fair price. Their prices are good if you're on a tight budget but remember you get what you pay for so dont expect great quality. Fortunately I loved my dress but the experience was not what it should've been. They are very unprofessional, rude, disorganized and pushy. My mother in law also purchased her dress there and when we returned to pick up the items left to dye, they misplaced her purse and dyed her shoes the wrong color! I would recommend visiting other shops, let this store be your last choice!
GUEST

I used the davids bridal company for my invites and they were AMAZING to say the least. It took a long time to go over all the little things i wanted and to make sure colors were just right and paper material felt and looked liek quality but they did a great job. for a dollar they will send you a sample of any invite they offer so you can see it before you order it and they send you proofs to make sure you didnt have any typos. The only thing i didnt like was that the ribbon bows for the invites came precut and were really hard to tie at the length they sent i would of liked longer pieces of ribbon then cut it shorter my self if they looked to long. In general amazing job i got them back in 2 weeks after final ordering.
GUEST

David's Bridal was fantastic when I first went. They were professional and the saleswoman I worked with clearly loved her job. the dress was amazing. They even had it in my size off the rack. The downside was that they never answer the phone and the seamstress was really pushy. Overall, I would still recommend them though.
GUEST

I would recommend you stay away from David's Bridal. I went there for my wedding dress and I felt really pressured by the staff to make a decision asap. Then when I went to pick up my dress, they had ordered the wrong dress AND insisted I was wrong. Then I made an appointment for my bridesmaids dresses and we were never assisted. We helped ourselves and then at the end a consultant came over to talk to us about our choices. She said all the dresses came in the colors we needed. But, at the registor after 2 hours spent in David's Bridal another consultant said that one of the bridesmaid dresses did not come in the color. By that time my bridesmaids and I walked out and never went back.
GUEST

My dress consultant was fantastic. I showed her a couple of pictures of what I was looking for and she brought me dresses that fit that description. the dress i got was the 2nd one I tried on. I fell in love with it right away. It was a Saturday afternoon when I went in and although it was crazy busy I still received fantastic personalized service.
GUEST

I fell in love with my dress at this store. However, it was so crowded, there were kids running around everywhere through the dresses, and they tried to make me take the sample dress from the floor. Although I loved my dress I would have avoided this store if at all possible.
GUEST

David's Bridal is definitely affordable; however, their service and quality is under par.
GUEST

Davids Bridal did a wonderful job of making my dress shopping experience easy! They listened to what I wanted and made it very enjoyable!
GUEST

I had a wonderful experience, my consultant picked out my dress, I probably never would have found it myself. I felt like princess. The fitting room people were excellent.
GUEST

One word of advice, no matter what they tell you get a new dress ordered, don't buy the one on the floor, I was told mine would have the bead work repaired and they didn't fix anything! I don't even think they cleaned it! hours before my wedding my mom was sewing beads back on and my sisters were tide sticking me! I would not have any alterations or fixes done here! buy your dress and run!
GUEST

Davids Bridal was fantastic. They were really helpful and courteous. Did fast alterations and dress was perfect.
GUEST

i loved my dress, but i did nto fidn the salesperson to be overly helpful. after about 10 dresses, she was done showing me any more. they did hoewever do an excellent job on hemming the dress.
GUEST

Some people that worked there were very friendly and them some were very rude. I would think that if they are getting a big commission for how much I spent there as well as my bridal party, they could have been a little nicer!
GUEST

They are rude, not willing to help, talk about you in front of you, not the least bit friendly and irresponsible! they lost my dress and put all my bridesmaids under different names as well as myself. had the wedding date wrong, and they dont call you to let you know your order is in. the value is great though, i got everything i needed (vail, crown, dress, slip) for under a grand, so its worth it to save money, but dont expect the help you'll be looking for. deffinetly bring someone with you to help you put on the dresses because they wont there.
GUEST

Very unhappy with them They got a stain on my dress and the other girls dresses the day I went to pick them up and didn't care. The told me there is nothing they can do if it doesn't come out. They took my beads off to fix the dress but never put them back on. They are very expansive for alterations.
GUEST

The associates at David's Bridal were less than honest with me about the colors in the bridesmaid dress I wanted; they claimed to have the dress in my color, but when I found out they didn't they tried to talk me into a different color. Also, I was not quite ready to try on wedding dresses and the sales associate attempted to pressure me into trying on ones she liked, not ones I liked.
GUEST

I purchased my dress at David's Bridal on the first day of shopping. In fact, David's was the only dress shop that I visited and tried on dresses. The woman who helped me was amazing! She helped me piece together all of my shoes, accessories, veil, jewelry. I ended up purchasing the first gown that I tried on. I also had my alterations done by Davids for my wedding dress and the bridesmaids dresses. There were no problems and they were finished on time.
Downsides: The store was always crowded. Make SURE that you have an appointment and even so be prepared to wait. Sometimes, for a long time. Some of the sales staff is rude and they are working with multiple appointments at a time. You will most likely NOT have a staff member all to yourself.

We did not have a problem with them. We bought the dress of the rack. There was no alterations to be done.
GUEST

I had a not so great experience the first time coming in here, but I decided to go back, and the woman who helped me the 2nd time, was awesome. She was patient with me, and helped me decide on all of the details. The cost of my entire dress, shoes, veil, undergarments etc was a little over $500 and alterations were about $120. I got a steal!

The service was absolutely terrible. I only used David’s Bridal because I had bridesmaids in different areas of the country, so it was convenient. I was ignored repeatedly when standing at the front counter waiting for service. After asking for a fitting room and being told to “just go back and find one”, I went in a room with my girls and was given an attitude about not asking first! I would not recommend using David’s Bridal (Milford, CT)!
GUEST

Through all kinds of mix-ups with dye lots, David's Bridal associates remained flexible and helpful until all issues were resolved.
GUEST

If it wasn't the fact that the dress that I loved was here I would of in a million years have gone here. they suck so bad, they screwed up atleast 3 of my girls dresses. i hated the place and they are soooooooooo rude.
GUEST

I heard many horror stories about David's but fell in love with a dress I saw there. My stylist Tiffany was great, she really knew what she was talking about and was so helpful and professional. The alterations that were done on my bridal party dresses were a mess. I took my dress to a more professional place to get altered after I saw the unexperience of the tailors there. I wouldn't tell someone not to go to David's. It really depends on who you get assigned to to help you with selecting a dress. They make all the difference.
GUEST

I was there for hours trying to find the perfect dress! The young lady who helped me was knowledgeable, caring and most importantly PATIENT!
GUEST

Eh...the dress was wonderful but we used someone else for the alterations.
GUEST

The employees are positive, and professional acting, but DON'T EVER have your dress altered here!
GUEST

I loved my dress, but they weren't that great with the individual attention. I was lucky I had bridesmaids that helped me out a lot.
GUEST

I loved being able to try on all the dresses in my size! I never made an appointment and they always took me anyway. They helped me try all different styles and I ended up finding a dress that was gorgeous that I wouldn't have picked out myself. I loved my dress and the people were very helpful. It is a really fun place to go dress shopping. The only problem I had was that the person who ended up helping me when i bought my dress convinced me to buy the wrong size and when the dress came it was way too big, but they didn't give me any problems and just rush ordered the dress in the right size even though it was a custom order. I was very happy with the service and the quality of the dress for the money. I bought an Oleg Cassini dress and I think it was $900.
GUEST

I did not buy my dress from here. They are unprofessional and trashy. These chain wedding stores are a joke, you are better off paying a little more for a service by a real bridal shop. I bought my dress from Marie Antoinette in Derby, CT along with bridesmaids' gowns. There I received personalized service and was treated like a bride. I ended up being forced to buy a bridesmaid's gown from here for my sister-in-laws wedding and it was an expensive dress and poorly made, and the staff was not nice or responsive then either.
GUEST

This place is extremely unproffessional. My sales associate completely ignored me and I had to have my bridesmaid help me try on gowns. All she was interested in was the commission she was going to get from my purchase. I didn't even go there during one of the $99 sales, so expected some level of service while I was there. Big mistake. I asked for a french bustle on my dress and the seamstress looked at me as if I were speaking a different language.
