I bought my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses along with boleros for the girls since the wedding was in January. They all looked great and the bridesmaids dresses and boleros were a good price and came in fairly quickly. I felt like the wedding dresses are over priced and they never have plus size dresses included in the $99 sale. Looks like they are over priced everywhere so it may not be something you can avoid. The dress was beautiful and after I had sleeves added it was truly elegant. I got a lot of compliments on nice the dress was. I would suggest that you start looking early as some of the dresses take a long time to get in an the alterations appointments can be pretty far out. There's no last minute shopping here.

I was warned about David's Bridal however as plus size bride, my options were limited. My bridal dress consultant, Cassie, was perfect however my bridal party consultant was a disaster. The bridal party consultant was pulling dresses that no one liked therefore my bridal party started pulling their own dresses to try on. Approximately half way through the appointment the consultant began to rush us and told us that our hour appointment was over, it had only been 30 minutes. When 2 of my bridesmaids picked up their dresses the dress was too small. Instead of admitting that the bridal consultant had measured the women incorrecly, the consultant suggested that the women had gained weight. I was so glad when I finally able to walk out of the store one last time with my wedding dress in hand.

David's Bridal is efficient and helpful. I found exactly what I was looking for!

I absolutely love David's Bridal! I purchased my gown here, and both MOHs and the MOB purchased their dresses at the same store. We loved our service, and received some great discounts.

I got my veil from this location -- I went in on a Tuesday thinking they wouldn't be totally busy -- they were though. That's OK. They stay busy on the phones there - I tried to call to see if veils were available to try on without an appointment. No answer, so I just went. I was not greeted when I walked in -- but I went to the front desk and they had a girl assist me who was really nice. She showed me all sorts of options for veils. I had brought my dress with me (a Notte by Marchesa) and got compliments left and right on it - from the staff and the girls there shopping. I just appreciate really attentive help, being acknowledged, and being friendly in a genuine way -- I got all of this, but I was just turned off by not getting anyone on the phone or being greeted / approached when I walked in. Perhaps they were short staffed that day. The veil was perfect for what I wanted -- simple, elegant, and just enough of a touch to make the dress feel bridal.

Got my braids maids dresses here. I got very little help. I kept getting ditched so they could help someone looking for a wedding gown. But the dresses themselves turned out well.

I went in three times. First time, Caitlin was super nice, helped a first-time bride to be in and out of dresses, had fun picking out hideous funny dresses as well as gorgeous ones that fit my style all while working with a few other people. Second time I was with another girl who did none of that and paid more attention to another customer than to me. Third I got Danielle who was helpful and professional and calls for checkups and reviews. She was just not as interactive as Caitlin was. I wish I had given her the sales!

For the most part my experience with David's Bridal was good. I got a great deal on my dress because one had been returned without the ribbon that I was going to pay $80 to have removed anyway. So I cant complain about that. The girls that helped me out were good with both me and my bridesmaids. My only complaint is that when I bought the dress they scheduled my appointment so close to the wedding. Well when I went in to have it altered the girl tells me that they dont have any appointments before my wedding?!?!?! WHAT?!?!?! Ummmmm.... NO! And then they tell me they can get it done but I will have to pay a rush fee... I DONT THINK SO! So luckily I talked to a manager and she apologized for the mix up and assured me that my dress would be done and there would definitely not be a fee. She was also rather upset with my consultant for not following up with me, apparently they're supposed to call, but no one did. In the end my dress fit perfectly and was done on time, with a little anxiety but everything turned out good in the end. I loved my dress and it was such a great deal!

My dress was very lovely, I adored it, but I was told that alterations were included in the price of the dress and they were not. The hemming cost over $100, which is ridiculous; I don't see why my height dictates an additional $100 charge, especially since my dress had pick-ups and the seamstress said that style was really easy tp alter. David's has lovely dresses, but just be aware that alterations are going to cost you no matter what the people tell you.

Bridal Dress & Alterations - It's very busy, impersonal, and communication is poor. The alterations are extremely overpriced. I needed a dress quick, so it worked and my dress was beautiful, but fell apart. If you have the time, shop elsewhere, but if you need a dress quickly, Davids Bridal is ok.

If you want a lot of selection at good prices, David's bridal is the place. I got my dress, veil, and undergarments and walked out the door paying only $500 (Martin Luther King Day sale). The dress I got was excellent quality. However, do NOT do your alterations here. The alterers are rude and most either want to charge you a rush fee or do not know when you're supposed to do fittings. I called well in advance and was forced into an appt 3 weeks before my wedding for my first fitting (they said there would be plenty of "wiggle room"). I ended up getting berated for making my appt too close to the wedding (the woman tried to give me one for August 1st for my August 14th wedding...) and charged $25 extra for rush. Looking back, I should have pushed for earlier but I assumed that the women there knew when I should make my appointment so I trusted them. My mistake.Great dresses, not so great service.

This chain store was a horrible shopping experience. The management did not seem to mind that thier sales woman was incredibly rude to my brides maids.Stick with a locally owned shop. You may or may not pay more but the experience will be better!
GUEST

i went here for my first trip to try on dresses. the lady who "helped" me. spent more time telling me about her fiance's side-business, then finding me a dress. my 2 girl friends and i picked dresses off the rack while she went to get a business card for her fiance's dj bus. after only trying on 5 or 6 dresses, she proceeded to tell us how she wasn't suppose to be working that evening and needed to be home studying... when i asked her to pull one more dress that i had seen in the beginning she told me she didn't remember which one that was.. my friends went and found it for me.. and then we left. she acted very frustrated and put out when ever we asked anything.. it was a horrible experience.. though David's bridal is where i eventually bought my dress... i never went back to this one.... Modesto was much better.i also had trouble when i tried to call and complain about her to their hr.

I couldnt spend thousands on a dress. we had to be frugal but I still wanted a nice dress and I was really surprised to find a gorgous gown here for a cheap price. The staff was nice and helpful. OUr planner reccomened that that we went there since we were on a budget. At first I was hesitant but she was right.

I was 6 months pregnant when I found my wedding dress at David's. When I went back to get it, a month later . . . I was already too big for the dress, they ordered me a larger size, and had it shipped over night to their store (free of charge to me), and had it ready and waiting for me the very next day! My wedding was in just 3 weeks, so the seamstress got right on it and made my alterations. They were so nice and thorough with me! I had such an amazing experience with them, that I plan on ordering some party dresses with them in the future.

I was on a very tight budget and also a plus size bride, at David's Bridal I found there were no clearence dresses in my size (girl on the phone had told me there were plenty). My "assistant" was very nice and professional, helping me select many gowns to try on. The only down side was she was quite pushy even after I told her I felt my mother should see the dress before I purchased it. They were quite attentive to my needs though. I ended up finding the same dress for much cheaper and ended up purchasing it that way. I did recommend my bridesmaids to David's Bridal because of their help!
GUEST

I tried on about thirty dresses and then had to come back another day and than finally found the one. It was very crowded and once I finally got a representative to help me she didn't my mom did more than she did.
GUEST

The salesgirl I worked with in picking out my dress was very helpful, she made sure I found the dress I wanted. She helped me in picking the dress, and in trying it on as well as finding all my accessories. The service was very professional, I could tell she loves doing what she does.
GUEST

I was skeptical at first since David's Bridal doesn't have the boutique feel of smaller shops, but I ended up finding my wedding dress here and was extremely happy with it. I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on my dress but wanted it to look great. My service consultant, Maleva, was very experienced and helped me find the dress of my dreams. I was considering another dress and she brought out a dress that had just arrived and was a preview Galina Signature designer dress (not in their catalog). The dress totally fit what I was looking for and I got so many comments on how beautiful it was on the wedding day. People couldn't believe I didn't pay thousands of dollars for the dress. I would definitely recommend this store.

LOVE this store, all their staff where very helpful, if something went wrong they fixed it immediately no questions asked!!!

True, David's Bridal is a good starter store for lost brides, since virtually everyone knows about it and the website is one of the most helpful that I have seen, but it also tends to be extremely unreliable based on what several of my friends have said.I do know that one of my friends ordered her dress from DB, and it came back with a huge blue smear on the front. How that got there, I have no idea. She was pretty stressed since she only got her dress a week or two before her wedding. When I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding, we came here to shop for bridesmaid's dresses. There was zero help from anyone working and we had to wait a good 30-45 min to even get dressing rooms. As a bride, I decided to try shopping here since I had seen several dresses online that I was interested in. (Their website is the most helpful by far because it actually lists prices, unlike most other places.) I came on a slow Friday, so my consultant, Erin, was very helpful and friendly. She was very receptive to my needs. I didn't find "the dress" but it was a good experience.
GUEST

This place is horrrrrrible! My five bridesmaids got their dresses from the chain from all parts of the nation. I personally visited the Sacramento store with one bridesmaid and was not impressed. I read somewhere David's used to be a "warehouse" type of business - all grown up now. Dresses are cheaply sewn for the price you pay (~$100-150 each), and you get the best service ordering online. Don't go in a hurry, make sure the bride "registers" before you even think about trying anything on, and expect zero help. If I had to do it again, I would go ANYWHERE but David's!
GUEST

I loved my dress. I did not like the first time I went in there in the middle they changed sales people then I had to explain all over again what I wanted. We did get one sales associate that I got a 2nd and even at my fittings and she was awesome. She made the experience less stressfull and even found me my white wedge shoes I wanted

There are many good and bad reviews of David's Bridal. I want to throw another "good" in the ring - and this David's is the one I went to in particular. I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding this June, and the bride got her dress here. She got great service and a beautiful dress at a discount, plus she was impressed with their plus size selection. Us bridesmaids were all able to order our dresses over the phone, one had it shipped, the other two left them there for the bride to pick up. We all got a discount because the bride got her dress there. All in all, an easy experience.

Awesome dress, easy process although some of the people there were a little rude.

I was never measured for my dress but told alterations could make it fit better. Alterations messed it up more though and I ended up driving to Chico to try on a smaller dress. In the end, the smaller dress fit perfectly and Davids Bridal let me exchange the dress. They were very cooperative and profesional about it. I loved my dress!
GUEST

The dress was exactly what I wanted. That is about the only good thing I can say about Davids Bridal. They kept firing their seamstresses, so I had to go back to chico (almost 2 hrs away from my home) over 6 times. Not to mention one of the SNOOTY ones STAINED MY DRESS!!! Thank goodness for my Mother in law handeling that fiasco otherwise I would have lost it. Don't these people get it?! The dress is the MOST important object to the bride!
GUEST

I loved my wedding dress. I found a $600 dress on sale for $249 and it was perfect. David's bridal provided all of my bridesmaid dresses as well. They worked with me every step of the way in my planning. I had one bridesmaid that lived on the virgin islands and the dress I ordered for her did not fit. David's Bridal worked with me because of my special circumstances and exchanged the dress for a new size. I also had my alterations done there and everything turned out so great. I highly recommend David's Bridal!
GUEST

Davids Bridal i heard was a good place. I took my brides maids to get there dress there and it was a price. However they were calling the wrong girls saying there dress was in and it wasnt and they were emailing them and not all of the girls check there email all the time. My mom got here dress there and she had it ordered and when it came in it was the wrong dress and they did even let her exchange it.

This place is great. the staff is nice, helpful, and extremely accomadating. I got my entire ensemble: dress, undergarmets, veil, and shoes for under $1,000. I had wonderful Zebree help me find my dress. I went with my mom and *gasp* my fiancee. I tried on an off-white rouched halter gown on first and I felt really pretty in it. However, when I walked out in the second dress; a strapless-floor length-diamond white gown that gathered on the side, and I saw my fiancee's face light up, I knew it was the one. I got that dress, an elbow length veil that had black satin ribbon edging and a few beaded flowers along the bottom, a empire sash the reached to the floor( detailed with beaded floral-flourish that echoed the veil beading and black sling-back sandals with a reeeaallly cute crystal cluster where the straps meet at the toes.I had some 'maid drama halfway through my planning so I had to call back several times to change orders and everytime, the ladies at DB were swift to help me with everything! Also, my orders came in super fast, which is a great bonus! The 'maid's dresses were strapless, empire, subtle bubble-hem(not the ridiculous poofy kind), knee-length, black & white sort-of abstract floral print (not grandma's curtains at all). They were adorable and actually ones they could re-use! My one maid wore hers to her senior homecoming dance! and they were only $99! Also, one thing that I ask you do for your maids is PLEASE; don't make them buy something ugly/un re-usable (please seriously ask yourself if it can REALLY be re-used!) and please please please don't make them spend a ton of cash on them! PLEASE! Thank you!

I was very happy with the service I received from the David's Bridal in Roseville, California. I had been to a few David's Bridals in other cities but prefer the Roseville store. The staff was very professional and kind. They went out of their way to accommodate me, my bridesmaids, and my mom. They allowed me to set up several appointments to fit the schedules of my bridesmaids (there were 8 of them). I worked with one employee in particular, Zebree, until she left on maternity leave. She was wonderful and was able to recommend dresses to suit my style. She actually found the wedding dress that I chose to go with. It was beautiful and I was very happy with my decision. I was lucky that the dress was on sale, too. I liked the fact that my bridesmaids were able to get a discount on their dresses since I purchased my wedding dress at David's Bridal. In addition, I received a discount on my shoes and the other items I purchased (veil, candles, flower girl baskets, etc.). Because of the large selection of bridesmaid dresses - my girls were able to choose the dress they liked and still keep the color of the wedding. They were able to get a dress that fit their personal style but still match the overall color scheme. The dresses looked great in the pictures, too. I do recommend you make an appointment, especially if you go on the weekend. It is hard to get a dressing room or help if you don't have an appointment first. I always received good service at the store, however, there were a few times on the phone that one employee was a bit rude to me and my bridesmaids. I highly recommend their website. There was so much to see on there and you could look at every dress on there before you go into the store. Overall, I was very pleased with the service, quality, staff, and value for all that we purchased at David's Bridal.
GUEST

I purchased my wedding gown from David's Bridal in Roseville, CA. I explained to the woman who assisted me a general idea of what I was looking for (outdoor beach wedding, something simply elegant without costing me our life savings) And what do you know! The very first dress she brought me was THE dress!!! I urge you to take advantage of the $99 gown sale. Just because it's considered a "last season" item DOES NOT MEAN it's not just as beautiful! I could not have been happier!
GUEST

I got everything I needed for both myself and my bridesmaid here! If you have an appointment then you are center of attention- if not good luck getting anyone to help you! Overall i would recommend david's bridal on the basis of selection and convinience.
GUEST

David's Bridal provided me with the perfect dress (even though i purchased the dress in the Roanoke, VA David's Bridal, I got it altered here in Roseville, CA. The staff was friendly and helped get my dress altered in a timely manner, but we had to go back twice to get it right. It was nervewrecking at first when we figured there was only a few weeks until the wedding and the dress was still too long. They fixed the problem and it was fine, although the bustle was not great. Prices were decent, but about $400-500 for the dress alteration. I used the David's Bridal credit card to help establish credit, it worked great.
GUEST

David's Bridal was fine for getting my dress, however when it came to the alterations, it took them several tries to get it right and cost about $450, which was an obscene amount for tiny alterations. Also I used the David's Bridal Credit Card to purchase the dress, the shoes, and you don't have to pay a dime for a year, however the interest is very high after that year has passed.

Good if you have to buy off the rack, but there are just so many of the same dress. Service was nothing to write home about.
GUEST

I will never recommend Davids Bridal to anyone. They were unorganized and rude. They made so many mistakes. They could never even get my event date right!

It was just David’s Bridal. Nothing special. The lady in there was very helpful and I bought the 3rd dress I tried on and I really did love it. She was very nice and remembered me when I came back in to buy my accessories.

I didn't get my dress from David's bridal. But I did go there to shop for shoes and accessiories. You can't beat the selection. But I felt because we were not there to buy a dress we were almost ignored. It took forever to get someone to pull shoes for us from the back. No one... not once... approached us to see if we needed any help. I guess the sales people do not make much in commission off accessories and shoe sales.
GUEST

Davids Bridal helps you a lot if you have an appointment. If you are a walk in you will be waiting a long time for help. They give the brides a lot of attention and focus on what the bride is looking for in a dress. They will try to make the bride happy and reach her expectations. When it was the bridesmaids turn the focus on them was fuzzy. They had to find the different sizes of the same dress if that size didn't fit. They didn't get much one on one with the employees. The employees just checked in once in a while. When it was time for the flower girls the attention was better on just giving us their opinion but not on finding the dresses or getting different sizes. The cashier line is always long and you have to wait forever to get done with your transaction. Despite the downfalls I gave it a good rating because in the end everyone received a great dress with a great price! I will do business with them again when I have the time.

They almost lost the dress and the alterations had to be redone. At least the dress was nice for the price.
GUEST

If I had to rate the dress, I would have to say I would have gone somewhere else. My dress was beautiful but broke at the wedding! I was so upset! All I did was dance in it. Nothing any other bride wouldn't do. I loved the service that I received though, I think it was the alterations that were screwed up or something.
GUEST

Very satisfied with our experience with David's Bridal -- will recommend to those in the planning stages!
GUEST

Great service although I had a few problems with my bridesmaids dresses being ordered. I would suggest you go on a weekday rather than a weekend because they're really busy on weekends and 1 consultant will most likely be helping 3 different brides! The dress was perfect and the price was right.
GUEST

I had a lot of issues with my service at this David's Bridal location, even though we did end up getting my bridal party's dresses tehre. The first salesgirl who helped me kept telling me my ideas were bad. She only brought dresses that I pointed to in magazines whereas I would have appreciated some help in finding other styles that would work with my body type. She then kept trying to get me to pick a different color for my bridal party, telling me that the dark blue I had chosen (to match my fiance's uniform) wouldn't match. She kept pushing a turquis-ey color on me. She also kept repeating that if I didn't listen to her and I ended up hating the color it wasn't her fault and I wouldnt' be allowed to complain to the store. Maybe it's happened to her before??? I didn't listen and the blue worked great!I also had to cancel an appointment and I called them the day before to let them know. They still called me the next day to tell me I had missed my appointment. Not the most pofessional business. We were able to find four different dresses in the blue though, so it worked out for my bridal party.
GUEST

The only reason I went here is because I won bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal. It was about a half hour drive from where we lived. I felt like I was in a warehouse and that I was just a number to this company. The choices in Jr. Bridesmaid dresses were slim. And, there was only one dress that came in the color that my bridal party was wearing for the Jr. Bridesmaid. The color was Marine blue. It was kind of frustrating that the selections were limited. It was so busy in there that I didn't feel that we got the personalized service that we had been receiving from a smaller, more personal shop. The cost for the alterations her was outrageous too. Just about as much as the bridesmaids would have paid for the dresses.
GUEST

What can I say, it's David's Bridal, they are a chain bridal shop and act as so. While I did find the dress of my dreams there, I was not very happy with my dress consultant. When I finally found my dress (after trying almost everything else on because she wouldn't listen to what I wanted in a dress), she became a used car salesman trying to push the dress on me. I almost didn't get my dress because she was so pushy about the whole thing. There is a bit of lack of communication between the sales staff, a little bit of a mess up with one of my bridesmaid dress. The only other complaint is that they are always so busy. When I would call I would be placed on hold, for a few minutes. I could never just walk in and get help at the counter I would have to wait in a very long, slow line, just to ask a question. However, you can find a nice dress there for a resonable cost.

The Dress Shopping::
I had a GREAT lady named SANDRA help me. I went back and forth and had many visits with David's Bridal in Roseville, every time they were very accomodating due to circumstances. I know they like to book appointments, but every time I asked for a fitting room they would do their best to fit me in. Sandra was very patient, taught me all I need to know and did it all with a smile on her face. I found my PERFECT dress at a Great Price but also got a $100 discount on it since they were running deals. The dress came in earlier than expected, I was very pleased. However, the checkout desk takes quite a while and I do not like to wait...sometimes it takes a while for them to notice your there. The color swatches are only $1...which is awesome because you need them for almost everything! (IF you ever want GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ASK FOR SANDRA!)
Bridesmaid Dresses: The selection is great. They don't always have the sizes, styles and color in exactly what we need at the moment, but there are many dresses that are similar so you can get more of an idea. My bridesmaids got $20 off their dresses because I bought mine there, I liked that they offer the incentive. I did not buy the flower girl dresses there because they are the same price as a bridesmaids dress..which is a little ridiculous since we know that it takes less fabric to make those. But their selection was once again great.
Alterations: I was not very pleased with Alterations. I had many appointments and alterations done before the dress was made perfect to fit. The first aleration was crooked and they would have sent me off like that if I didn't say anything...they didn't even notice.....! The English didn't come across clear enough and it seemed as if they were having difficulties understanding me and the same with me and them-That was frustraiting! They requested too much time to fix simple problems, and at my second appointment they hadn't even done the alteration...which was BS- So they asked me to come back in an hour! I felt that they were rushing the service and that's not something you would like to feel after purchasing a $700 dress! In the end the alterations were great, however I don't feel I would have gotten there if I didn't hound them...I really don't want to deal with them (Alterations!) in the future!

My experience at David's Bridal was awful. I went and tried on dresses with my mom and I was told the dress I wanted was discontinued and I would have to buy the floor model. They would clean it for me and I could pick it up in a month, it fit perfectly and I didn't need alterations. When I went to pick it up there was a big burn from the steam press across the front of the dress so I didn't want that dress. They said they can order me another one, and I said I was told it was discontinued - that said that wasn't true. So they re-ordered me another one in the same size and when I went to pick it up, I tried it one and it was HUGE on me - I had not lost any weight and they of course blamed it on me, so then I had to spend several hundred dollars in alterations which I orginally didn't need. I think since they knew I was a size 8 and didn't need alterations, when they reordered the dress they put a size 8 tag on a size 10 so I would pay for alterations. I went back a month later to pick up the newly altered dress and they didn't finish the alterations properly so I had to go back again in order to finally get the dress. They were horrible to work with and the dress never did fit right, my mom finally fixed it for me a few days before the wedding because I was so fed up with David's Bridal.

This is the first David's Bridal I have gone to and had positive experiences every time! I am currently a bridesmaid in a friends wedding and we got our dresses from this David's. I also purchased my own wedding shoes here and the service was excellent. I recently went with two of my bridesmaids to buy their dresses and the manager was the one who helped us and she was wonderful. I have been very happy with their service!

I bought my dress, shoes, and bridesmaid dresses here. I tried on many dresses and eventually decided on the first one I tried on. Even so, the representative that had been assigned to me was so helpful and patient. She never got frustrated with me and always made me feel like it was my decision. I was even able to take my dress home with me the day I bought it because it didn't even need any alterations, but they didn't have the shoes I wanted in my size and they needed to be dyed (which they did free of charge since I bought them there). I bought the dress in January and the sales person said they would call me when the shoes were in and dyed so that I could pick them up and that it would be roughly six weeks. Come May I still had not heard anything and so I called and after about 3 days, a different representative called and said that yes my shoes were in and when I asked if they were ready to be picked up, he asked if they were supposed to be dyed. After about a week, they were finally dyed and shipped to my mothers house free of charge for the inconvenience. The only good part about my shoes were that they were very reasonably priced and incredibly comfortable! All my bridesmaids had different body types so I was able to pick a color and fabric and each of the four bridesmaids were able to go and chose the one that best fit them and that they liked the best. Each one found a dress they loved with no problems, even the one who was 8 months pregnant!

I found a great dress here for a very reasonable price that I was very happy with. If you are wanting really personal service than this is not the place to shop for your dress. It is a discount dress shop and the environment and service reflects that. Also a lot of the time you are buying off the rack and the dresses have been tried on many times. Alterations were expensive but I am not sure they would have been cheaper elsewhere. When I tried on my dress after alterations were complete it was still too long and the seamstress graciously took it back and asked me to come back an hour later to try it on again. Unfortunately it was still too long but the seamstress fixed it and did not charge me any additional. If you are looking for the boutique dress shopping experience don't come here. It is more like a wedding dress factory and there are hundreds of brides and dresses moving through here on a daily basis. The environment for me was a turn off but the deal I got on my dress was worth it. I was not interested in paying thousands of dollars for a dress I would wear one time. I got my dress on sale from $450 for $200 off the rack. Alterations cost me another $175.00. You would not know looking at my dress that is was only $200!

Beautiful dress and veil. Great value, but there were glitches with everything! If you aren't one to get stressed you will be ok. Don't expect to be catered to and stay on top of them adn you will be ok. I loved my dress and alterations were great!
GUEST

I got my dress at David's for a great deal! It was normally $800 and I got it on sale for about $250. I'd recommend waiting for one of their bi-annual sales - most of their dresses sell for less than half of the retail price. While they did an excellent job on my alterations, they took several weeks to get it done and the price cost almost as much as my dress did! If youre on a budget, Id recommend getting your alterations done somewhere else.

DO NOT GO HERE! THIS PLACE WAS A NIGHTMARE! My first indication this place was bad should've been when a bride was screaming at the manager the first time I went and apparently returned ALL of her dresses 4 weeks before her wedding the first day I went in.I began ordering girls dresses more than 6 months before my wedding date. Ample time, right?I added a bridesmaid on 1 month after placing the original order only to find out that (1) one of the maids' dresses was the wrong dress (they wore same colors, different dresses). No problem I thought, they cancelled and re-ordered the right dress. (2) My new maid went in and the lady let her get a dress in the wrong color - not technically the wrong color, but shiny and matte fabric look very different so one was dark brown and the other shiny bronzy brown. Final sale dress so I was stuck with one wrong colored dress. NOT HAPPY! Dresses came in slowly. Then when I hadn't heard anything for about a week after the re-ordered dress was promised, I called to find out (3) TWO dresses were never ordered. I was really mad so they put a 'rush' on those. About 9 weeks before my wedding one of those Maids went to pick up her dress (4) wrong size. Put another "rush" on that dress but only promised it would be in A WEEK before my wedding! My maid of honor went to get her dress (5) WRONG dress. They rushed ANOTHER dress with the same crappy guarantee of getting it here a WEEK before my wedding. She picked it up a week later (good rush!) and then they managed to give me (6) WRONG straps for her 'optional' straps she was planning on wearing. The last straw was when my Maid who had originally had the wrong dress ordered was major lagging and finally went to go get her dress and... (7) WRONG DRESS AGAIN!I flipped out on them. SEVEN mistakes is unreasonable. They would not give a discount or any money back so my MOTHER had to call and we ended up returning ALL of the dresses (even mine!) with only 6 weeks to go before the wedding. NEVER EVER EVER EVER USE DAVID'S BRIDAL! I know their prices are really reasonable, but other places will treat you better and get your order right... or at least do something to remedy it.I became that bride. Horrible. THE WORST experience shopping ever. We went to Jessica McClintock and the girls there did a great job helping us.

I took my FI to this David's Bridal (don't worry, I waited in the car, I don't want to see the dress until the wedding). I know David's on the peninsula usually get a bum rap. My FI said it was a great experience. She's going back there with her MOH to try on some more. I think she'll most likely get her dress there.

I made the mistake of believing that because they had been in business for so long David's Bridal knew what they were doing. I was ordered the wrong size dress. Just over a month before the wedding, I went in for a fitting and my dress was too small. I spoke with the people in alterations who told me it was not their problem that i "got fat" and that the only thing they could do was take a sample dress off the floor and alter it down to my size. They took a dress 6 sizes too big off the floor and put it on me, zipped it up and I was able to pull it off without unzipping it. There was no way this dress was going to fit. I ended up grabbing my stuff and leaving the store in tears. I ended up going back in a few days later to speak with the store manager, but the only thing they could do was put the correct size dress on hold at another store. They did and one of my bridesmaids made the trip from Sacramento to San Jose (easily a 3 hour trip one way) to go pick up the dress because they couldn't transfer it. I am so glad I will never have to go through this again. Because of all the issues, when my sister gets married, we are staying away from David's Bridal. It was not worth the tears. The only positive is that I looked good on my wedding day.

David's Bridal is the best place for your wedding dress and bride's maid dresses. What I recommend is to find your style and size at the store, then find it on the internet, like ebay or craiglist. I didn't do it for my wedding, but I did it for my sister's wedding (as a bridesmaid). It is so much cheaper, you know when you'll received it, and it's a quality dress.

Make sure to check the dress number you want to the dress number on your reciept before you leave the store. They ordered the worng dress for me and I didn't know until two days after it was ordered. They wouldn't order the right on until I paid the difference in price between the dress they ordered and the one I wanted. Even though it was their mistake.

I shopped around everywhere, and found the perfect dress at an incredible price. I also got my jewelry there and shoes, everything was perfect.

Loved my dress and for the price it was well worth it. It was frustrating getting alterations and the appointment for the bussel, which was the only alteration being made. Got a lot of conflicting information. But other wise great.

I loved my dress. Love it. But the people working at David's leave much to be desired. They actually called me and said, "Um, did you already pick up your dress? Our computer says that we should have it here, but we can't find it."Yes, I had picked it up... but if I hadn't, I would have FREAKED out. And they never called my bridesmaids to tell them their dresses were ready.

DONT BUY YOUR DRESS AT DAVID'S BRIDAL!!!!! If I had it to do all over again I would have bought my dress at a bridal boutique. First the service was great the consultant who helped me was awesome. However the bra that they gave me to try on with the dress was not the same bra that managed to make it home with me. I am a DDD and when I came in a month before my wedding to try on my dress I look at the bra and it is only a DD. EEEEEKKKKKKKK!!!! So i ask if they can exchange it, and they don't have the right side so that is my 1st problem. Davids Bridal had my dress for 3 weeks, they had to hem the dress, clean a lipstick smudge off, and check the beading at the bust line of my dress. A week before my wedding and the stain is still on the dress, the beads I pointed out to the seamstress are still loose or missing and it is poorly hemmed. I am infuriated by this point. save yourself the heartache don't go to Davids Bridal go to a boutique you will pay less for the dress, alterations and they won't mess it up!

dress was gorgeous, adrienne my consultant was wonderful.had a few problems with alterations, something got on my dress and i had to keep showing them that while they had "cleaned it" it still wasn't clean. it worked out in the end

Yes, their dresses are beautiful, but I think they could lower a few of their prices. I did have a problem with one of my bridesmaid's dresses; they ordered the wrong size and when I called back to get another dresses ordered, the sales person acted as if she did not want to help me. But later I received a call from another associate who was very helpful in getting my bridesmaid's dress here in a timely manner. But they do have beautiful gowns.

Sometimes the staff was not as nice as they could have been and sometimes I felt ignored.

I have mixed feelings about David's Bridal. On the one hand I think it's an especially great place to find bridesmaid dresses! For the wedding, the bridesmaids were given the wedding colors (chosen from the David's bridal website) and told they could pick pretty much any style gown, but in a long length - that worked great! Everyone got a dress that was perfect for their figure and personal style. BUT (and I mean this is a BIG BUT) the customer service experience of EVERYONE (including the bride and mother of the bride) WAS ATROCIOUS! One time they forgot to record our appointment and didn't have a sales woman available to help us, another time the woman assigned to us during our appointment started helping a walk-in and never returned to check on us, the sales people were continually RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!

The dress I purchased was the one and only dress I tried on. I went to David's Bridal for fun one day and found a $1200 dress on sale for $480 and it fit perfectly - and it was the only one left. The next day I was leaving on vacation for a couple of days and my only frustration I has was that they couldn't put it on hold for me while I thought it through. Also, getting a dress tailored through the store is very expensive and takes them a long time. They do have a great layaway program where you can make easy payments with no interest.

David’s bridal was not personal and not professional enough for me to buy my dress there. I went online and got one cheaper and just had it altered. My bridesmaids did find dresses there but found the customer service and appointment only system not warm or inviting.

I really loved the price and I loved my dress, but I had a few problems with their service. I had my wedding in Naples, Florida, but I live in Roseville, CA so I bought my dress at the Roseville store and picked out the bridesmaid style that I wanted at the Roseville store. My bridesmaids all lived in Florida so they got their dresses from the Florida store. Everything got confused and none of my bridesmaides received the discount on their dresses that they should have received because I bought my dress at David's Bridal. I tried to fix this problem by updating information with the Roseville store 3 times, but it never fixed itself. However they were able to ship my dress to Florida safely and on time for about $7.00

Brides maids dresses came in wrong. wedding gown missing buttonswhen it came in, and mother's dress came in wrong shade. Got mad, and they fixed everything quick. Stressed out though. Shoes were all cheapily made.
GUEST

I don't like shopping, and David's Bridal had many different style's all in my size. They were wonderful about ordering, alterations, and accessories. I was willing to pay the extra money in order to have everything done at the same place at one time.
GUEST

I got a wonderful gown and loved it. The only problem I found was that they were always so busy and I didn't feel like I had the quality time spent with me even though I had an appointment. But it's the best value for the price. And they are really convienet.

There is a LARGE variety of dresses and colors to choose from. All dresses are very reasonably priced, compared to most places. It is great for those brides with bridesmaids in other cities or states because there seems to be a David’s Bridal everywhere. ALWAYS make an appointment first, as they are always very busy and not very accommodating for those who just walk in. Also, don’t expect your bridesmaids to be able to try on their dress in the appropriate style or color.

As my soon to be wife was taking care of the last wedding arrangements I still had to get the tuxedos for my self and some of my groomsmen. I was in a bit of a hurry and only checked out a couple places. Then I stumbled upon David's Bridal whom I was referred to by one of my fiancee's friends. I checked it out and was surprised not only at their price but the selection and their professional attitude. They treated me like I was someone and made me feel wanted. The staff was very courteous and friendly. On the wedding day, our suits were fitted great and everyone looked sharp. They did a great job and was very prompt and professional. Looking forward to do more business with them if I need any more suit needs. Thanks!

Must have an appoitment, when shopping at a chain dress shop, would like some space allocated to drop in's!

The prices were great, but service was not. The staff is not knowledgeable. I would only recommend them to people that already know what they want because the staff is worthless and will guide you.
GUEST

I had ordered them over the internet, and they turned out perfectly. The invitations came with so many extras and they were beautiful. I was worried that I had nto seen them in person, but they were amazing. And they came within a week of ordering.

Allison was the girl who helped me the whole way through. She was Awesome!!!! Even when I went back in after my wedding, she remembered my name!. My dress was halter , beaded v neck, straight plain bottom half , BEAUTIFUL! and it was a great Deal! I would recommend David's bridal to anyone , anywhere. Check them out first.

I bought my dress here. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. They did a great job with my bustle.
GUEST

I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from here. They had a somewhat small assortment but larger than other stores we had been to. We ended up finding something that looked good on every one. I think it's better to make an appointment, we stopped in and it took awhile to get helped. I think they cater better to you if your buying your wedding dress and spending more money.

I was very pleased with my experience at David's Bridal. My dress was gorgeous but didn't break the bank. My attendant was fabulous - she actually convinced me to try on "the dress." My only complaint was with the tailors - they didn't seem to be able to do much aside from the typcal bustle, hem, etc.
GUEST

I got my dress from david's as well as my girls' bridesmaids dresses and was very satisfied. In face 4 out of the 5 bridesmaids dresses were on sale and I got them for 50 dollars or less which was really nice! And I absolutely loved my dress! They were great!

David's Bridal did not have much of a selection for dresses with sleeves. And they would not add sleeves to the dress.

The customer service was very poor. Our sales associate, Patty tried to tell the bride what she could and could not try on. She left out valuable information on alterations and refused to give them for a dress purchased over a year ago, however she knew the date of the wedding at the time of purchase. She did not put the veil in the bag and by the time the bride had a dress rehearsal, the veil was discontinued. The manager sold the mother of the bride a veil that she said was almost identical and ended up not looking anything like the original veil. My bridesmaides dress was sold to me with a tare in it. Another bridesmaid ordered a dress months ago and when it finnally came in, it was the wrong size making it too late to buy another dress. Another bridesmaid ordered her dress and Patty to her that it would be shipped to her on a date post wedding after she had again been informed of the wedding date. The tuxedo store next door has heard so many complaints that they have disassociated themselves with davids bridal.

Alterations:
While they did an excellent job on my alterations, they took several weeks to get it done and the price cost almost as much as my dress did! If you’re on a budget, I’d recommend getting your alterations done somewhere else.
Bridal Gown:
I got my wedding dress at David’s for about 80% off of the original cost! David’s has quarterly sales that can’t be beat, so if you have picked out the dress of your dreams, ask the person who is helping you when there next sale is. I saved hundreds of dollars by waiting three weeks to get my dress.

Alterations:
David’s Bridal did a fine job with the alterations. They were quick and pretty comparable compared to other alteration places for wedding dresses. Not the best customer service though.
Wedding Gown:
David’s Bridal is a very affordable place to go and shop for wedding gowns. They have up to date styles that are more affordable than other wedding gown shops. Keep in mind that the dress that you purchase is probably not brand new, meaning it’s been tried on before. Once you decide on a wedding gown, be sure to do a thorough inspection on the beads, any make-ups marks or stains & any other things you see on their. The seamstresses do a check also, but just keep in mind that there is a reason why the dresses are cheaper. However, all of the other dresses there are brand new.

The service there was exceptional, I had to reschedule my fittings a couple times and they were very flexible. When I had my first fitting, the lady who helped me was very kind & helpful, I didn't have my mother or anyonelse there with me, so it was nice when a couple ladies gave their kind input.

All of my bridesmaids were spread out throughout the country, and we had to pick a place where they could all go for their separate fittings. At first, I wasn't too hot over the idea of getting all the dresses at a chain store, but I was very pleasantly surprised at the attention to the customer that I felt at each of my visits. I wasn't even sure if I was going to purchase my dress there, but it literally jumped out at me! The selection of dresses fits anyone's budget, and the bridesmaid's dresses were also an exceptional value. I'd recommend them any day!

I didn't pick out my girl's dresses. I just told them I wanted them to wear dark purple. They all ended up going to David's Bridal, unbeknown to me and each other! They all chose different dresses, so they all got something they loved, looked great in and yet matched. They all looked wonderful ;) I don't know anything about the service or prices they got, but I didn't hear anything bad, so I assume it was fine.

A huge selection...very affordable. I only spent $350 including alterations. Remember, you only wear this dress one day. I would rather spend my money on other aspects of the wedding.
